Sketchy staff offered to charge us for drinks we didn't order * Camden helles on tap is definitely not Camden helles * Their local pint "one tun" is either off, bad, or dirty line * A bit overpriced but not too bad Avoid.

I stayed one night in beautiful, recently revamped room which was surprisingly spacious. I had a warm welcome and very much a boutique feel as advertised. Unfortunately 2 gripes: a particularly awkward bath to stand in for a shower (very narrow) and poor sound proofing in room 4 — I could hear conversations clearly and people weren't shouting…

A friendly atmosphere with efficient, helpful staff. Originally went in to ask directions and staff were so helpful we returned for an unplanned visit after our conference. Will certainly visit again.

Lovely food. Steak was well cooked and delicious.

Table service for dinner not good, asked for no chilli in the pad Thai and got chilli. Tried to order drinks whilst ordering food, wasn't very tentative. Food was tasty. Shame about the service.

Nice cute place. It has a good fusion menu friendly staff too and a little garden for the smokers. The place is not so big so gets quite packed but normally the office crowd from Farringdon.

A chance find, rude not to pop in for a pint. Lovely people behind the bar, good beer and a good atmosphere. Come in and drink!

This used to be a lovely traditional pub serving excellent Greene King IPA. Not any more. It's been modernised and spoilt. There are some very low sofas which are comfortable but almost impossible to get up from after a few beers if you are over 40. And I'm well over 40. Oh well, nostalgia's not what it used to be is it?

Great place for a quick pint after work but it also serves some decent food. It's always packed after 5 pm with crowds spilling onto the streets. Friendly bar staff and highly recommended for a quick pint.

Have to have the duck fried rice or the sizzling beef. Great for lunch at a good price. Very friendly staff!

Surprisingly good thai food for a pub! The Pad Thai and Curries are they have good offers for dinners and weekends.

The food here is absolutely incredible, and have really big portions. The duck fried rice is my favourite, with the crispy chicken also being a great choice.

Tucked away in what's pretty much a back alley. Good for a chilled after work feel — tiny little beer garden (more a courtyard) in the back section.

A few nice draughts unique to the pub (Longhorn IPA in particular), but is regularly far too busy to chat inside, instead the need arises to stand out on the pavement and block their guest room entrance and occasionally clear out of the way for lorries and vans on the side road.

Well this was a great choice for me! Don't often stay in this part of London so do t know it well, but choosing the One Tun to stay at rather than a "proper" hotel was a very good move. The room was wonderful, very clean, comfortable and well equipped (although it was a shame I couldn't have the window open overnight so was a bit stuffy) but generally very happy indeed. A lot of thought has obviously gone into planning the rooms and it shows! I ate in the bar and the food was yummy and the Lavender Collins cocktail was delightful. The best thing about this place though is the young, friendly, happy and helpful staff — well done One Tun!

Very. Nice rooms. I arrived and there was no one to check me in. Had to wait 30 minutes for someone to bring the key.

I only had food there before they changed to a thai cuisine, so cannot vouch for that. It's a good pub to go to for a Friday drink. The pavement outisde gets busy on the summer months!

Made very welcome by Leo and the rest of the staff. Enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this friendly, welcoming pub and rooms to anyone staying in London. This pub has a good atmosphere and vibe with friendly locals too. Room was very clean and I couldn't fault anything. Next time I stay I would possibly request a room higher up from the pub, but it wasn't really an issue. Breakfast brought to your room and nicely presented (really fresh too). Other nice touches as well. I didn't try the meals but they smelt and looked amazing!

Outstanding service. Rooms are huge and modern. Excellent in the city location. Walking distance from lots of great sites.

We called in at The One Tun recently because it was the pub my dad used to go to for lunch in the 1960's when he worked at a nearby bank so it was a trip down memory lane for me. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive without being in your face. The beer and wine were both excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our food which comprised of Prawns in Tempura, Salty Chili Squid, Soft Crab and Pork Ribs. Delicious! We would completely recommend this for a lunchtime stop and thanks to Leo and Petra for looking after us so well. Cheers!

I had an extremely enjoyable stay in one of the rooms at the One Tun. The room was larger than average and was recently renovated so it had minor amenities like USB ports on the many outlets in the room, a nice bathroom, a large refrigerator not clogged with paid food and drink, and a new TV with Netflix that made the stay better. The room came with complimentary water and chocolate as well. Be ready to climb some stairs to your room, though. The noise level from the pub wasn't that different from what I've experienced in other hotels and flats in London. Saffron Hill was just far enough off of a main road that I didn't hear as much of the city traffic and construction as I had in other hotels. The staff was very friendly and hospitable as well.
