Location, breakfast and Wi-Fi are good.

Lovely service, great space, amazing Burlesque nights on Tuesdays. Food is great and fresh and toilets are tidy.

I have just stayed here for the weekend Saturday through to Monday morning, it's a great little place, brilliant location for access to kings cross station. Room was lovely & had all that was needed for my stay, the bed was very comfortable! Staff were warm and welcoming and breakfast was excellent, I stayed for a few drinks down at the bar Saturday night and the entertainment there that night was fab! Thanks, would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.

Hm. Well my food was lovely. I ordered calamari which came with a very qelt d looking salad. Quite poor to be honest. But that calamari was beautiful as was the sweet potatoe fries. I am very satisfied with my food.

I had the potato curry today, and while the quality was very good the quantity was seriously disappointing. I don't understand it — I believe in supporting gay venues but won't eat there again. How much extra would it have cost to give an adequate portion?

OMG! Where to start. This place has been thrown out of Scarborough and landed in Kings Cross. Xfactor wannabes screeching on karaoke led by a 70 year old tone deaf host. Bar staff are friendly but they are of course controlled by the annoying queens that have been thrown out of every other bar… then there is the stroppy old pool playing 'cross dresser. Step back in time and have a giggle. If you last 30 minutes in this place then… you are from Scarborough?

This place is a hell hole. I booked a room at the Central Hostel London for three days in May. I arrived, paid, and went out for the day. It was about 85F/29C outside in London and when I came back in the evening, the hostel had the heat turned on to the max in my room. I got really overheated and almost passed out. When I went downstairs to talk to the front desk, the receptionist was really rude to me and told me that the heat "wasn't her problem" and that she "didn't care if I passed out. " I ended up leaving and paying over $200 for new accommodations. They refused to give me a refund even though I didn't stay in the hostel. When I tried to leave and turn in my key, they tried to withhold my key deposit. Additionally, the hostel doesn't look like it's been cleaned in several months, the sheets to my bed were dirty, and most of the bathrooms don't work. The lights are also turned very low and don't work in many of the hallways. There are several middle-aged men who seem like they are permanently living in the hostel and were often sitting in the dark hallways when you walked by. I felt really unsafe here. The living conditions were really bad and not even worth the cheap price. The photos posted on their website do not accurately reflect the actual conditions and atmosphere in the hostel. It doesn't even look like the same place and I feel very misled. I would want to prevent other people from staying here in the future because it was incredibly dirty and unsafe.

Literally cannot describe how bad this place is! Staff are rude and don't give a damn! I really don't know how the place functions and the fact they have kept our money after having to check out before we even spent the night there. Absolutely dreadful, I'd recommend not staying here at all.

Location was great and it's a lovely set up bar but the bar staff where less than desirable at one point the bar was left unattended for about 10 mins. The staff also were very cold and unfriendly.

Great place to go. One of the only decent fun gay bars left in london!

It was a drag queen night with many of the crowd in drag. Even if you are not a fan I still recommend to have a drink there as it is something different from an usual night out (just be prepared to take some friendly banter if you are a "square", I did! )

TERRIBLE point of Guinness but lovely atmosphere and nice staff.

Nice little bar, friendly atmosphere and bar staff were also welcoming. It was a cold night and we sat near a "live" fire place — cosy & warm. Bar service was quick. We went at a quiet time, on the way to the theatre, so there wasn't a show on, but we hear the shows are good. We passed by later and saw it was much busier with a performer on stage. We will return…

The room was nice enough. We had to ask for extra towels, pillows and fresh milk. Very basic. The breakfast was very disappointing. No room to move, not enough tables, and the breakfast itself was sorely lacking. The location and the bed itself were great but none of the staff spoke English well. Overall an average stay. And would not choose to stay again.

Strange place that receptionist mark asked if he could suck my dick he must be gay or something I said no and left straight away.

Lovely hotel the name says it all central for everything rooms small but lovely and cosy and clean the stairs kept us fit we were on the 2nd would definitely stay there again staff lovely and helpful breakfasts were just right choice of English or continental plus toast and cereals can't fault it at all.

Underneath it's a fetish venue. Still wish it was cleaner and better maintained. A toilet seat and bleach would be a good start. Yes I know there's watersports there, but a bit better cleaning and some more investment in a update to the decor and delete humidifier would be a godsend. They do have real ale but only Deuchers IPA.

Really great roof terrace, lovely place to go for a drink and very friendly staff. I can't believe I've never been there before! Would definitely go back.

Those who prefer places with character as opposed to standard hotel buildings will truly love this place. Has a homely feel. This of course means that it comes with its idiosyncrasies. A winding staircase which might be painful; tiny rooms; shared bathrooms etc. But you cant expect more out of a cheap place in such a central location. The terrace area is splendid. I would stay here again purely for its charm.

Me and my mum stayed here and were really impressed with the hotel. Staff were friendly, rooms were lovely and clean and beds extremely comfortable. Had everything you could possibly need. Was in a great location too. The only reason I'm giving it a 4* instead of 5* is because I was disappointed with breakfast. The cooked breakfast only had the option of bacon, beans and egg. Would of been better if there were sausages and mushrooms etc. I don't drink tea or coffee and the only other drink available was orange juice which was ok but would of liked maybe the option of hot chocolate or other fruit juice or water. All in all was a pleasant stay and would definitely recommend. Will also be back again in the near future. Thank you.

Checked out before my first night. It was the worst room I've ever been to, doubt the rest are different — old, small, smelly, not taken care of. Would not recommend.

The pub had a very nice rooftop area and was very cozy. Since it was close to king's cross station, the pub was easy to find and travel to. The food was high grade but expensive. The people there were friendly. I went to a board game event and enjoyed myself and im grateful to the staff for allowing it as an event. There were three bathrooms, ladies and gentlemen downstairs and unisex upstairs so its very inclusive. The unisex bathroom was very clean. Overall I had a good time and I'd recommend going.

Great service and excellent value for money! For the price we were paying to stay in such a great location I was expecting a dingy, run down hotel. Luckily it was nothing like that. From the second we walked in the staff were so friendly and helpful There was a lovely family feel about them. The rooms were small (what can you expect for that price) but very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

The location of the hotel is good, and surprisingly quiet with the tree lined road beautiful with them all in blossom. The staff are friendly and helpful. However the building is getting a bit sad and in need of renovation. The chef at breakfast was very friendly and served up a great meal cooked to order.

Its a nice place. Obviously not 5 stars hotel, but for this price is a very good place to stay for some night in London. Its incredibly clean for a hostel and the staff is ok. Also freeWi-Fi ;) (at least at the ground floor, at 2nd and 3rd floor the signal is to weak)

I stayed at the King's Cross Travelodge for more than a week. The price is good and the services they offer are quite good for the price we pay. The staff weren't that kind but they were very professional — all my requests were answered in no time. The bed is good enough. The breakfast isn't that good and it doesn't worth 7, 50 pounds. Just walk few meters and you will find Subway, Burger King, McDonalds, Starbucks and dozen of other places to buy the food of your like. The internet isn't cheap. I paid 20 pounds for a week of Wi-Fi access (Spectrum). They don't have many room services, only the cleaning job. They have some machines for you to buy your own food and also they have a bar.

It's a nice hotel in a good location, be warned though, there is only 15 minutes of free Wi-Fi. Take that into consideration if you use it a lot. Otherwise, like any other Travelodge.

Rooms big enough and clean. There is only 30 mins free Wi-Fi and it's not good if you need to communicate with people living abroad. Breakfast is ok.

We arrived yesterday with a young child so asked if possible we could have a suitable room, ie quiet and comfortable and preferably lowest floor possible. Instead we received a ridiculously warm room, which made it very difficult to sleep. Our room was on 3rd floor… out of 5. We were also in a room directly above a train line! Literally got about 3 hours sleep, which is less than ideal when travelling with a child in a big city. No consideration was given to any of our requests. Will not be staying here again!

Despite their reputation, I tend to like Travelodges. This one however, was not up to the usual standard. Firstly, it was so hot at night so we couldn't sleep (even though the radiator was off in our room). Also, the light in our bathroom didn't work, so we asked the receptionist to fix it as we went out to the theatre. When we returned 5 hours later it still wasn't working. This meant we were showering in total darkness, as there was no window in the bathroom — a potentially dangerous situation. Also, we paid for late (2pm) check out. However my keycard stopped working after 10am, so I was locked out and had to go to the reception to get back into the room.

They gained 530 pounds for four days, for a family room. The room is small, it has no refrigerator, bath is. Simple and tiny. Breakfast: horrible coffee. In my opinion they should adjust their financial claims to offer. A super simple service.

It's clean, comfortable and well positioned, nothing fancy but for the price it's good.

Basic yes, clean and tidy, comfy bed, fresh towels daily, tea and coffee, very friendly welcome, whatever you want for breakfast cereal, continental or full English, good facilities on the doorstep and you must try o'neils up the road great food and great atmosphere.

-at 3 minutes from St Pancras International station (where arrives the Eurostar)
-many restaurants and fast food all around
-2 HSBC ATMs nearby (to recall some French banks charge no fees because UK is European economic area even if they do not have the Euro)
-King Cross St Pancras is a central station of many lines: practices for moving to London

-deco a little dated
-shower very small but adequate room
-water hot available at any time
-TV with 30 channels under titled English UK
-very well heated
-clean towels every day
-clean room but no more

To conclude: an ideal hotel for those looking just to land at night and have enough sleep in London with a good quality/price ratio and 15 minutes by metro from the city centre.

I am trying to get to sleep in this hotel at this very moment. I have been staying here for this past week and have had trouble getting to sleep every single night. My room is directly below the reception and the office, and the staff seem to spend every evening pacing. I hear them clomping about in boots, or banging about in heels, but always walking about. It's like they're stepping on my actual head. The rest of my stay has been decidedly pleasant. The room is clean and compact without being cramped. It has all the conveniences you might need including a kettle and a heater. The bedding isnt awesome, but the matress isnt knackered. Breakfast is hot and bacon y. The service has been friendly. I have been overwhelmed with clean towels and extra pillows. It is precisely a budget version of everything you need from a hotel, except for the noise, which I didnt need at all.
