Absolutely fantastic! staff very welcoming, cosy and traditional surroundings we had afternoon tea and walked around the ground afterward, lovely log fire in the lobby too.

We came today (5th February) for Afternoon Tea for mums Bday, it was delicious, plenty of food and the service was amazing.

A very fine historic hotel on the northern edge of London. 4* quality with a superb restaurant — the staff are a joy and it is family run. As an aside, the grounds are incredible — an established arboretum with nationally / internationally important species, including “living fossils”. It is just great.

Stayed last night for business. Beautiful grounds, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were just the right size and had everything you need. I had two lovely baths and a great sleep. Really happy.

I recently held my wedding here. The venue was perfect and very classy. The food was good but really wanted too say a massive thankyou too Matthew our wedding coordinator
he really went above and beyond for us. Fantastic with our grandchildren and nobody was left wanting for anything. We would like too thank all the staff who a great job. Would certainly recommend this place. But you need a fat wallet haha.

West Lodge Park is in beautiful setting, large country house with loads of history. The hotel it's self on arrival looks amazing, good parking and overflow parking, well positioned for North London. The room in my experience is nice but not large, good bathroom and nice shower and bath. Coffee and tea great with good biscuits to nibble. Down side is the room is very warm in summer and I was there on a cold day but it still to warm. I asked about heat but was told that this how the rooms are all the time. I was traveling with a friend and we decided we would like to have a quick lunch in the bar area but to our dismay the whole bar was reserved for afternoon tea. So we were unable to have anything, this happens mainly at weekends I believe. So we left the hotel for some food locally. The next day we went for breakfast and was greeted by a member of staff to be seated, I put down a Orange juice and my medicine. Whilst I was getting toast and group of elderly people arrived and decided to sit in my seat and the member of staff moved my table so they could all sit down. The challenged the member of staff and was told to find another seat. Which he said was better. I told him that I thought if unacceptable. The seating for breakfast is far too small and the same goes for bar area. I think the hotel it's self is mainly catering for older clientele and do not recommend for the younger traveler.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds which includes a well planted arboritum. Evening buffet for our private party was ample and very tasty.

We attended the swing evening on Friday night, lovely relaxed evening, we even had a dance. The Music and singing were great. The food was just right and beautifully presented. It’s really a good idea to have the entertainment there were people dancing by the bar as well. Will come again have been to one before.

A last minute welcome brief escape — thoroughly recommend as a essential treat …. And all calorie and sin exempt. Sincere thanks to the staff who helped — very wheelchair friendly (appreciated).

Very comfortable stay. Our room had everything we needed with nice white fluffy towels and crisp white linen and comfy bed. I stay in a lot of hotels and it’s the little touches like fresh milk in the fridge for tea, iron and board, coffee maker and light over the dressing table — yey — which really make it. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful and so quiet. L.

Came here for a wake and it was so beautiful. Staff were friendly really professional food was lovely great variety of food choice. Staff were helpful. Hotel overall is clean with gorgeous outside gardens. Would recommend.

Great location for a lovely English afternoon tea in the old traditional style. Food really nice and wide selection of teas. Prices on the high side. A great setting.

Lovely hotel great service, could greatly benefit from the addition of a spa, him and pool. Would definitely make a return visit.

Although a nice clean hotel, I will never stay here again, I will also inform my colleagues to find alternative accommodation. My reasons are: In 18 months I have spent £12, 000 using this hotel for somewhere to sleep during the day due to my work commitments during the night for the prison service, on this occasion I was given a room in a busy corridor, which meant I could not sleep, due to doors banging and cleaners outside my room, I politely asked the duty manager if she could possibly move me to a quieter room, as I'm here a week and I'm seriously getting no sleep, she refused to move me unless I paid more money, The management are not interested in the well being of there guests, they are only concerned of squeezing as much money out of you as possible! I have made a complaint with Redfern and I have booked with a different hotel for my next trip in May. I will inform the prison service to use different accommodation in the future, and let someone else profit from the £100'000s we spend in this hotel a year.

Room was lovely and so was dinner. Bar staff need more training. Cocktails were pretty rubbish.

Had a birthday meal at the Mary Beale last night
we were early and started in the bar, birthday girl ordered a Mojito cocktail and not only was it not there by the time we went into the restaurant but we had to tell the waiter to remind the bar staff we were still waiting
… it arrived over 30 minutes later and it wasn't nice
the food… the fish was unfilleted and we had to do that ourselves
the pheasant was as tough as the woman who dumped me in Tunisia for one of the loc…als but the restaurant waiter was excellent.

West Lodge Park is a beautiful country retreat. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The efficient and friendly service and attention to detail was amazing and the dinner we had was just superb. Our room was clean, extremely comfortable and had views from two aspects over the beautiful gardens and arboretum. We chose West Lodge Park to celebrate my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed with any aspect of our stay. In fact, everything exceeded our expectations. Andrew Beale himself could not have been more accommodating and helped to make our stay one which we will cherish and remember for years to come. We thoroughly recommend this beautiful, family run hotel.

Great place all year round… Lunch, Dinner, Afternoon Tea and they also hosts special events. Food is excellent. Service is great summertime is best you can enjoy the gardens… Bar food is also a great choice…

Staff were really friendly and attentive, food was great, my daughter and partner had a lovely time and will be twisting my arm to go back. Thank you for looking after us and look forward to seeing you again.

The building was old in design but clean. Staff were very helpful but not over bearing. I was in party of ten and the rooms are varied with some smaller than others and the rooms only have side lights and no main light which may be an issue for some. The set menu was limited in choice but the quality of food was excellent. The kids bemoaned the lack of breakfast muffins but I had fresh figs so I wasn't complaining. The hotel is set in large grounds so it was nice a quiet. Over all I recommend this hotel.

Went here today for afternoon tea waited over 20 minutes after being seated for a waiter but one never appeared had to chase one down food was mediocre the scones and gluten free items where dry and the breakfast tea was served with no milk or sugar which meant I had to chase a waiter down again all in all it seemed we where just seated and forgotten about really would not recommend this establishment for afternoon tea.

Hotel is perhaps a little old fashioned, maybe a little tired and maybe the rooms are outdated but I had a great stay. The service is exceptional, the bar and restaurant were good and the grounds are stunning — worth the price of a stay on their own. What more could you want.

Perfect. Beautiful location, beautiful hotel. The staff were helpful, amazingly well turned out and no problem was too small. Meeting facilitates comfortable and refreshments were prompt. Lunch in particular was quite something; even on a Tuesday the restaurant was packed with customers from miles around. Will absolutely book again.

One of the nicest Hotels in the Enfield/Barnet area. Service is 5* and the area is very pleasant. Whether you want to have your wedding reception, or just an afternoon coffee this hotel caters for everyone with a first class service.

Large lovely hotel set in an outstanding location. Entering the gates and driving up to the entrance of the hotel is really impressive. Great for marking an occasion definitely.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. We love the hotel and had a great meal tonight in the restaurant. The service was good, if a little English, and the burger was delicious. And I come from the country that invented the hamburger.

Upon arrival at this hotel, my partner and I were greeted by the manager. The first impression we had of the place was quite alright, but our stay turned out to be a living hell. The quality of the food was not as good as expected and also the place didn't give the impression to be very clean. The bed in our room was very unconfortable and it was hard to sleep and rest. We expected a much better service and a higher standard from a 4 star hotel. Not recommended.

4 star location and surroundings. Rooms are 0 star and hot. I woke up with a dry mouth and in a pool of sweat. Awful bed and skip like pillows. I would not recommend at all. No sleep due to the heat! Never stayed for breakfast, couldn't wait to leave. Staff nice but under extreme pressure to please.

We booked a room in this hotel for 30 people, and were extremely unhappy with the quality of service. The food was over priced, and the staff were mediocre and didn't take care of us as they should have. We would not reccomend using this facility for events. Unfortunately this is a pity, as the surroundings were beautiful.

Just had a lovely stay at West Lodge. Lovely wooded surroundings, relaxing atmosphere, food really good-wide choice on menu, room comfortable. Recommended! West Lodge is old style is the best of senses.
