We had a nice stay. Rooms were very nice clean but the breakfast area hasn't the cleanest feeling about it. Some rooms were quite small but some were big enough. Breakfast was OK and richer during the weekend. Traveling to centre of London was fine with the trains.

To be honest I don't even think this place deserves a one star. Filthy beds that don't seemed cleaned after every use, toilet brush covered in poo, a strong stench of mould from the bathroom. The mattress is a very uncomfortable to say the least. I literally feel like I've stayed in a gutter for the night. Worst place I've ever stayed would highly, highly recommend not staying here. Also they like to take photos of your card and I. D which is extremely sketchy for the sketchy area it is.

I went there but it sucks because and everything dirty and there are mice.

I get straight to point. More than sleeping and mini fridge the hotel has no choice.
Dirty, wallpaper look like falling off. Blanket above the shower looks like there could be insects coming down when you press against it. Bische like son bad horror movie.
If you're not fussy, you can take that for ne night. Complete week would be misplaced.

Good hotel if you wanna stay in for a night or two. Not that far from Stratford. "Affordable" is the word to describe it. Also, staff are good at customer service.

Room 16 was horrible to sleep in due to the course of banging noise coming from the staff office that they are getting in & out day and nights slamming of the door. We did make a complaint from the first night we arrived, staff did not bother to do anything about it. We did not have much sleep & wasn't a pleasent stay & also the room maid remove 2 of our side bed tables lamp without our knowledge & did not even replace any lamp not until we made a complaint about it that to us was very rude. Date the 27th to the 30th April 2018. We will never stay there again.

We were not satisfied at all, we were at the end of February, very cheap but the room was so cold, the bathroom was freezing, the windows are not at all tight. They heard everything that was spoken in the next room. The only thing is staff was friendly.

It isnt too bad of a place if youre looking for something cheap, I cant say its the hotels fault but some people take advantage and smoke in non smoking rooms and it makes the rest smell rather bad… other than that the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the hotel isnt in a bad place its very close to a highstreet full of a wide range of shops, if I was in ilford I would probably stop there again.

Good value for money but apart from that nothing else. Customer service was poor. Couldn't provide me with a parking space, very rude staff in general. Recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay on the cheap. Would not recommend if you are looking for a place that show common curtiousy and actually provide you with any information with anything.

Cranbrook is dated and needs an injection of cash to bring it up to date and make it less tired. However it was clean, comfortable and the staff were lovely. Really reasonably priced and free parking. Would return and recommend.

Heating, lighting and finishes to be reviewed. Good price and great breakfast.

Simple effective accommodation. Very tired and worn but for the price Inc breakfast I can't really complain.

Price more than correct, room friendly and clean, with sanitary, same services as Ibis or others in the room: kettle, tea, coffee, free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is included in the price (choice) staff welcoming, friendly and dedicated.
PS: Some members speak French go there.

The staff was helpful and tried to compensate me, but honestly, it's a very old place and most of everything doesn't wprk properly. Poorly maintained, heating doens't work, shower is no good. Not nearly as close to London as they advertise, and they also advertise they have 2 parking lots, but they don't exist. There are 6 parking spots at the front and that's it. I'd stay away.

Guys avoid this hotel at all cost, they are dodgy and they are capable of anything. They said to me they have no rooms available when I had booked a day before. They took me to another building around the street and wanted to put me in a room which was a squalor that even a rat couldn't stay. I returned to the key and threatened to call the police because it wasn't even the hotel I booked for. They changed their stance instantly and gave me a room at this hotel which was apparently full just few minutes prior. I have never felt so disrespected and taken for a fool. Avoid at all cost please. I am in the process of filing a report to the Trading Standards.

It was generally good price for money especially if visiting Ilford or the surrounding areas. It was not too expensive however there is no restaurant at the hotel. Markets are at walking distance with a range of food choices availabke though and bus stoo is at walking distance within 5 min too. I had a gud time here and would recommend it.

Brilliant for contractors… Nice n cheap and friendly staff, what more do you want, tea facilities, en suite, TV, nice big heaters in rooms.

I liked it a lot. The rooms were very clean. Very friendly workers. Everything is fine.

Simple but well friendly super and plentiful breakfast.

Avoid this hotel people! They are frauds! My partner and I made a booking online and when we arrived at the hotel, they expected us to pay them again, so basically they charged us twice. They refused to give us our money back. Beware of these money grabbing Bastards. The hotel is also filthy and smelly. The breakfast is disgusting too. There was a lot of hair in the food. Avoid people, AVOID!

Was here a couple of years ago with my girlfriend, if you need a cheap but cozy place to sleep, this should be your choice.

Rooms were nice and clean Had to share a breakfast table with a man I do not know baring in mind me and my friend are 12 and 15. The food was OK not a lot options.

The location is terrible. Sketchy area and busy street. The receptionist was rude and does not know how to explain anything. I think she was still in training but regardless she was unprofessional. The room I was supposed to be staying in had a water leak which then resulted in electrical problems. So the hotel management wanted us to stay at Best Western Ilford for 1 night and then go back to Cranbrook for the remainder of our stay. They called us a taxi, we waited for 40 mins, during which time they called the taxi company twice more. The taxi driver showed up drunk and so the hotel owner told him off and then ended up driving us to Best Western Ilford himself. Which was only a 7 min walk which we could have completed far quicker than this taxi that the hotel insisted on. Granted this was not the fault of Cranbrook Hotel but it still negatively impacted my experience there. I never even saw the rooms but I'm glad I never had to. Thankfully I got to stay at Best Western Ilford instead.

I was attending a event in the area and wasn't expecting big things. But I have to say the area is terrible and a little scary at night and the hotel felt equally as uncomfortable would only recommend if you needed somewhere desperately.

Megan and Roberta has been excellent offering great customer service they are very helpful and reassures that we get what we need in this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel of there customer service. These two should become manager for This hotel. All people if you guys are around ilford looking for a hotel come to this hotel. Your customer service you get you'll surely feel like home.

Lovely rooms which you will not be able to guess from the outer view of the hotel. The options of breakfast is vast and are delicious. Will visit again.

Shower does not work propperly, it's dirty but the bed is comfortable. All togetter not worth the price, but okay…

The breakfast is delicious, our room was sadly pretty hot, but the staff is very friendly :)

Poor staff, Kept my deposit as they claim they keep no record of cash deposits so they cannot provide me with my deposit back, was then told that by deposit has been sent to my bank and that my bank are holding the funds. I contacted the bank and they said they have no records of any funds being sent to my account. Raised this issue with the staff at the hotel who put the phone down on me and did not respond to emails. Only when I said I will take this matter further did they respond saying they do not keep record of cash deposits, furthermore they do not keep CCTV Footage longer than 1 day meaning they could not see me pay at the reception. Staff were rude and very unhelpful during & after our stay. Would not recommend this at all.

Nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not the most modern rooms. But more than made for by the extra friendly and helpful staff. The varied breakfast and having ensuite bathroom helps a great. Very cost effective for anyone wanting to stay in this area. On site parking to boot. Will use them again as soon as needed. Would recommend this hotel.

This is the worst Hotel conditions and politics I even seen… rooms too small … THE MANAGER IS VERY RUDE RASIST… IF I AM FROM ROMANIA WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM…? SO DONT GO THERE NOBODY… — 1☆ — 1☆ Cranbrook Hotel — 1☆

Best thing about the stay was leaving. Avoid at all costs. Booked a family triple room… the "double" bed was two singles pushed together with a large sheet on top. Uncomfortable to the extreme. Thin thin sheets. Fell through the gap between the mattresses during the night. Hardly slept. woke up by staff at 3 am because had trapped in a car in carpark on instructions of other staff at 11 pm. Then had people knocking on door at 8 am because we were next to the dining room. Food! Free breakfast was a selling point and almost edible. The "bacon" is fried wafer then processed ham. Sausages are more rusk than meat. Eggs are scrambled and stopped exactly where they dropped them. Bad cheap and nasty place. Staff rude and obnoxious, particularly the English staff. The rooms are run down and tired. This wouldn't be a problem but mould in showers and room corners… patched up ceilings with four or five different patterns on them give you the idea of decor. Honestly think the owners don't care about the state of the place or reputation at all. It's just a cash cow.

Had a fantastic overnight stay here. The room was very big, with an end suite bathroom. Yes the decor is a little old, however it just added to the charm. It was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was plentiful and I'm already thinking ahead to my next visit!

The staff is nice and welcoming until it has some type of problem: payment through prepaid credit card, online payment service of the hotel will credit double the amount as a kind of safeguard, without notifying and pretending nothing to demand explanations. Apart from this unpleasant situation it was connected to the city by the porthcawl station, rooms are minimal and if a neighbor room noisy you can hear everything.

Staff really nice room neat and clean price is really affordable.

I would not recommend this place to anyone … I have to say this was the rubbish place ive been to. … The sink were block and I found it so disrespectful when at checking time the staff member were like we need to see the room before we could five your deposit back … Seriously do you do that with all the other guests.

Brilliant location for shops and to get quick into London city centre. TFL rail is just down the street.

This hotel is good value for money for a night's stay including breakfast. I was nervous about staying in a hotel with my 3 month old baby for the first time especially since I was looking for a balance between cost and comfort and I'm pleased I chose this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious room for me and my husband and the baby. I will recommend and happy I don't have to spend a fortune each time I have to stay in London for a few nights.

It's not the best hotel but I've slept in worse being a musician. Every room is really small but that's Europe in general. The quality isn't bad tho for the price. If you're in the area and have to stay near by, this isn't horrible but don't expect The Ritz.

Nice place, clean rooms, recommend this for those, who find cheap accommodation in London :).

Good for a professional short stay.
