Really great place, Friday night is steak night with a free bottle of Malbec, great service and buzzing, great value for money, what more could you ask for! 👍

Brilliant Sunday roast — meat is perfectly cooked, great roast potatoes and a good selection of veg. Portions are generous without being over-faced. All accompanied by great wine/beer and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back!

Food was a disappointment. £15 for badly cooked pork belly and so called bubble and squeak, that didn’t resemble bubble and squeak and tasted of cinnamon 🤮

Most disgusting food I’ve ever tried in my life! I’m not one to make a fuss and if I don’t like something I usually just grin and bare it but on this occasion I couldn’t. I refused to pay 30+ for 2 roast dinners which were inedible. Mystery meat which concerned me after trying, as well as rock hard cauliflower which was burnt on top! Also boiled cold parsnips and cabbage! An old persons paradise and don’t even get me started on the anaemic roast potatoes and watery gravy.

The quality of food, I find is very variable. I have had a couple of meals that were excellent and very tasty. Unfortunately, some of the dishes have been of poor quality and taste and the service quite slow.

Went in for a birthday meal for my hubby, the food was excellent and the service was great.

Nice pub good selection of premium products will be back to try the food next time we visit.

We arrived at the inn at 13:00 soaking wet from a hike on the Cotswold way (which is beautiful by the way). We asked to check in (we booked ahead of time) and they said we would have to wait until 15:00 (while we are still soaking wet). This way we had to wait by the pub and order a drink that we didn't even want just to be able to sit inside. At the end we managed to get a key to our room at 14:30 and go upstairs. Because our clothes were soaking wet we wanted to dry them on the radiator, but of course the heating was off. So we went to the pub to ask to turn on the heating while asking to do so so that we can dry our clothes, and the answer was it will have to wait. So we came back a couple of times after (a few hours later of course) but each time there was a different problem. We gave up at some point and had to start the next day with wet clothes.

Two stars for having one choice of vegetarian food for dinner. I'm not a veggie but our recent visit got as far as the menu and two families looking for dinner were turned away by this. Not having a few vegetarian choices is the sign of a lazy chef and manager. It's not hard to have a curry or stew ready, veggie food is easy.

Lovely and atmospheric with lots of original features. Spotlessly clean bathroom. Staff was very happy to alter the breakfast menu for me. I had a lovely time while staying here.

Where do I start we stop at many hotel around the country and upon arrival the bar staff was abrupt and off hand… half of the drinks they do not have. The menu is very basic there was to much salt on there chip which they put on. I don't have high blood pressure but the amount of salt they put on there chip would of kill me off … The bed was so uncomfortable every time you move the bed creacked the pillows was flat. The toilet facilities was across the hall way which we had to share and to cap it off NO TOILET ROLLS my husband was not impressed.

Absolutely delicious and extremely good value breakfast, in a relaxing environment. So good we came back the next day. Have previously stayed here and the accommodation was excellent.

My wife and myself had the best breakfast in the world here on Sunday, polite friendly staff where nothing was to much trouble.

We have just hosted my Mums 80th birthday here — all 19 of us. It could have not have been any more perfect. The rooms were all clean and comfy. It was a hot evening, fans were already in the rooms. The gallery room is a great private dining room. Having pre — booked our menus, all 19 of us were served delicious food efficiently so that no one was kept waiting. We left the gallery room late and looking like a bomb had hit it, to return to calm clean organisation ready for breakfast. Anthony and his young team deserve a huge thanks in their part making last night a very special one for us.

Family lunch at the inn, one meal was good, one was average and two were very poor. The duck was very tough, portions were small and the service was average with no really apologie until we complained about the food to the manager. First time this has happened after many visits but will mean we may not visit again…

What a lovely pub! Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Menu choice was great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious… I would highly recommend this pub if you are staying in Winchcombe.

If you are looking for an old world pub/restaurant/accomodation this could be for you. Menu is decent as was the lunch and beer. Evening service was fine but they seemed to lack staff at lunchtime with quite a few people waiting to be served at several times. Staff are friendly however so if you are not in a hurry this may suit you.

We found the White Hart online and booked through their website, which worked well, although not very intuitive. Upon arrival we found staff to book us in and direct us to our room which was comfortable and quite spacious. The furniture well appointed. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and there was black mould on the lower edge of the shower screen, so the cleaning could have been better. The first night, the fish pie was excellent, as was the salmon. The second night we both had cod and chips which was tasty and hot. Service in the evenings was good although the menu is limited. The breakfasts were good, although the presentation with everything squeezed onto the bar could be better. The omelette with haddock was perfectly cooked and I recommend that. The location of the hotel is very good, right in the centre of the town and with easy access to Sudeley Castle (closed — as was the museum and other things in town) and Belas Knap. We walked out each day leaving our car in the hotel car park. Altogether, a pleasant stay for a couple of nights.

This was a year ago, we were back last week, the food was verging on being inedible, watery soup followed by sub standard mains. The service was slow and the waitress uninterested in serving us. We will not return unless we hear that it has all improved.

My wife and I spent a romantic night over (child free for 24 hours woo hoo) the service was first class food, drinks on order, staff were excellent. Recommend the spacious modern bedroom set up in a property full of history and character. Would recommend anyone to stay at the very hospitable and welcoming venue. Breakfast was amazing with a wide and varied menu to choose. Katie and I chose the traditional cooked breakfasts served with a smile and lashings of coffee.
Despite waking up to a snowy and wintery scene outside the warmth of the staff and facilities available made us at ease and relaxed. Would return again one day. A jewel in the Cotswolds crown.

Great dinner, very nearly 5 Stars. We ordered the salmon and the duck breast off the specials menu and both were excellent. The salmon was fresh and well cooked with a parsnip mash and Pak Choi. The duck was delicious, but that meal wasn’t overly hot — which was about our only negative for the night. A bottle of Shiraz washed it down beautifully. The food was that good we stayed for dessert. A toffee pudding and a rhubarb crumble with custard — both outstanding! The pub itself is quaint, with a front bar area that you’d expect from a country pub. The dining area was more formal and one of the rooms had a nice fireplace to add to the ambience. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Very disappointed with breakfast — we paid £6.95 for eggs royale and got half a muffin and one egg! Silly thing is they must have thrown away the other half, which seems absurd. A real pity as it has a lovely cosy atmosphere but the food was such poor value.

Very poor ambience, food and service. Ambience — Waited 1 hour for very poor quality food — manager spending this time either on phone, including loudly fielding complaints or responding to customer attempts at conversation with how he just wants to get New Year ‘out of the way’ and that he was tired. Sent waitress after 40 mins to tell us meal was on way… Food — no adaption of children’s meals of sausage and mash for children featuring heavily flavoured sausages and mash and a bowl of onion gravy. Adult fish pie was a child portion in a tiny bowl with a tiny portion of peas in a sauce dish (which had to be given to kids as no vegetables with their dish) Asked waiter for children’s ice cream before we finished to avoid another long wait — 5 mins later he asked what flavour as said selection offered… only to then say no selection available. Then 15 minutes later came to our table with 2 burgers. Service — We decided then to give up and asked for refund of ice cream — a second waiter was sent to us who apologised and stated the manager would have to perform the refund — he then continued to repeat this several times sarcastically as manager who had been present throughout our wait failed to return — when I asked him to stop talking as situation was clear and he was upsetting children the waiter went back downstairs to speak to manager and then refunded us while continuing to talk including wishing us ‘to have a nice day’ in a very flippant and disrespectful tone.

The White Hart is one of the best pubs in Winchcombe. Last time I visited was the real ale and cider festival in October — great selection of drinks, BBQ food and free musical entertainment. Great fun.

There was an event on when I arrived at 11.15 so I was informed that food would be unavailable until 12. At 12 I attempted to order and was told I would receive table service despite them not normally offering this. 15 minutes later with no staff in sight a party arrived looking to order lunch so I rushed to the bar to place my order again. The starters were good when they arrived, but after finishing no staff came to clear the table and people who arrived substantially after I ordered were started to receive mains so I asked for mine to be served. When served (Fish fingee sandwich) the fish was cold and the bread stale — part toasted I think from being left in a hot plate. My wifes sandwich was equally similar whilst my soster in law who had ordered the roast had a roast potato so crunchy it broke her tooth down to the root. Not a good experience.

Food was delicious but service was slow. Ordered a drink from the menu and then had to ask for it 15 minutes later. Food took almost 45 minutes to appear.

Went with a foreign friend for lunch, slightly disappointing options on menu & the ploughman's didn't arrive as expected. Had to clean our table off to sit down. Previous visits were better, so that soured my opinion.

Lovely stay our second visit in 3 years. Excellent value dinner b&b. Food excellant and staff friendly and helpful. Good location for visiting all the surrounding villages. If I had to give a negative it would be the outside area very tired and neglected. Cut the trees in the car park sweep every day and plant the pots and troughs with loads of plants (there's a great shop opposite) Thanks a lot we will return.

A lovely warm welcome, after a long freezing days agility. Was told breakfast was at 730am but found out it was actully at 8am on a Sunday but the staff where amazing and knocked me up a first class veggie breakfast. It was delicious the veggie sausages where first class. Thank you for all your help. The room was lovely and clean although white bedding and dogs will never mix. Would stay again.
