Would be nice to see more vegan options. The allotment ciabatta though was delicious. Maybe incorporate one of the many vegan cheeses or hummus, so much potential. Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean environment.

Good menu, portions not so huge that you can't fit in a pudding. Also lovely circular walk from Wrougton through King's Farm Wood and Clout's Wood and back to the pub. Perfect!

Great location if you want to visit Swindon or any of the surrounding area. Our room, 7, was large with a comfortable bed, tray for tea, coffee etc with great biscuits. Very clean and attention to detail. Fabulous breakfast.

In my opinion its always been good grub at the White Hart. Last Friday our Dave treated me to fish & chips. The cod batter beautifully crispy and the chips moderately crispy. We had one of the £7.00+ meals, which is ideal for those of us who don't always want to eat large portions. Thank you White Hart and you r staff and beer are good too.

Not enough staff. Slow service and starters and desert over priced. £7.00 got 5 tempera battered prawns with a touch of salad The same prawns I pay £2.00 for 12 at any frozen section of a supermarket. The main courses were only slightly over priced and were very nice. First time there, atmosphere was not the best. Felt like a very clicky local pub. That was the patrons. The staff were friendly enough. Landlord didn't come across as friendly (he may have had a bad day? ). The pub was clean. Would I return? Only if someone else booked it for a special occasion.

I always thought highly of this place, as a place for good food in a pleasant an friendly atmosphere, until my visit earlier this week for an evening meal with my friend and her two children. The location is lovely, but the food was disappointingly poor value for money and the menu choice a shadow of its predecessor. The vegetarian sizzling fajitas consisted of basically a pan of fried onions (95%), with a single baby corn and a strand of sliced red pepper, accompanied by two folded wraps and four small pots containing salsa, grated cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Value of content was probably less than one pound. Price £10.50. One of my companions had a child's sausage and mash (1 sausage with mashed potatoes and peas) for £7.50. We asked if it was possible to have an extra sausage and were told by the waitress that it was a fixed price meal and we would have to pay for another meal if we wanted another sausage. Ice cream desert was £6, but we didn't bother as we felt we would probaly get ripped off again. In general the two people serving food and drinks were not interested in the customer experience at the end of the meal. I understand the place changed landlords recently and this experience shows a big difference between the past and the present landlords approach to food. I wouldn't recommend this place for food. It's probably good for summer drinks in the garden.

Took a trip to this pub in the evening with my brother. It is truly one of the most relaxed pubs you can find. There is a wide array of alcoholic beverages available, from wine to beers to lagers, and the prices are good too. There are 2 beer gardens available if you would like to sit outside, that are both a good size and have good sturdy benches to sit on. The one downside I would have to say about the gardens are that the one out the front does tend to get waterlogged. We visited a couple of days after a day of heavy rain, and I left the establishment with a set of brown trainers, having left home with white ones. However, the staff are friendly and the food that we had with our beverages was excellent. I would highly recommend the chips as these truly were exquisite! Would definitely recommend this place if you want somewhere warm and cosy on an evening to have some lovely pub grub and a nice drink.

It was a surprise to find very modern bedrooms built behind this old inn. The room is quite spacious with plenty of storage for clothes etc. There is a large comfortable bed and adjustable heating which kept us plenty warm enough on an extremely cold weekend stay. Large shower room with a selection of compliments toiletries. Everything was very clean with immaculate white bedding and lovely soft towels. Very tasty well cooked breakfasts with good choice completed a very pleasant experience. The only thing needed to make it perfect would be a couple of comfortable chairs to relax in while watching TV.

Lovely, friendly welcome, quickly booked in & shown to room one which is really for disabled but adequate for an overnight. Evening meal was very disappointing, we both had the "special" fish & chips @£18 but it was mostly batter & little fish. Breakfast was okay & staff throughout we're friendly, helpful & obliging. Sadly on booking out we had been overcharged more than £11 for drinks we certainly had not consumed but rectified once pointed out.

My Partner and I dropped in for lunch, but wish we hadn't. The two bar staff we had contact with were very pleasant, but the food was pants.
My 'steak and mushroom' pie was 'fridge cold' all the way through, and mainly consisted of mushrooms! This meant my Partner had to eat alone. I ordered something else after they said the pie was going to be a while, a BLT ciabatta, but that too was pants. Very dry, not appetising at all. No mayonnaise in the ciabatta. What happene…d to probing a pie with a thermometer?!
Also, what pub only has pepsi max and pepsi on tap, but no diet pepsi?! Very disappointing given my partner and I get very little time together, we won't be going there again.

We've had a really disappointing evening. Don't want to be too negative about the place as this could be an isolated incident but it feels like we've waited so long for everything to happen. Drinks order wasn't taken when we arrived, food order 20 minutes later. The empty plates from each course we're just left in front of us for way WAY too long… We were here for my partners birthday and totally wished we'd chosen somewhere else! Don't let our experience put you off too much as, like I said, places can have bad nights (and tonight was really bad) but just be warned!

We brought our own champagne and they were happy to serve this to us without charging for corkage. Some of my guests stayed in the rooms at the pub and told me they were really happy with the accommodation and will stay there again when visiting Wiltshire.
