What s***hole, don’t remember it being this bad, lockdown really has taken it’s toll…. Room like a prison cell, or as I would imagine, and as for road noise, no sleep tonight. Tried to change rooms, fully booked, hard to believe. So much for being an IHG Gold Member. Think a new chain is going to get my loyalty in future…. 🤬

We stayed for two nights in this hotel recently, our first Holiday Inn experience. We were very impressed! Very light and spacious room with comfy bed, very clean and great ensuite facilities. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice. Unfortunately on our last morning, whilst eating breakfast, I suffered the most awful nosebleed. The staff were extremely quick to act, moving me to a quieter area. A first aider was sent for who looked after me for over an hour. All the staff were extremely kind but I feel I should mention Amy and Melanie who went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. I'm afraid I didn't get the name of the young man first aider but he did an excellent job. Thank you all.

Had a great stay for a birthday party, nice and clean and staff couldn’t do enough for us.

Had lovely stay here friendly staff very good breakfast that was fresh and hot Great value for money enjoyed the pool cosy sitting area in the bar all clean and tidy everywhere Great nights sleep in comfortable bed many thanks will def return.

Hotel needs some Tlc but clean and tidy fir price, can’t fault the service we were next to a room full of inconsiderate teenage lads who made noise all night, we complained and got moved to another room at 2.45am, plus refunded some compensation, now it wasn’t the hotels fault that the lads were selfish and made noise, smelt everyone out smoking weed! All for people having fun but… Can’t fault the customer service just rooms are tired but clean.

Awesome stay. The staff Lidia at the front desk was so friendly especially the swimming staff Nancy and the swimming coach Sue who was so helpful and understanding of my daughters needs thank you for being so kind it warms my heart and will come back again.

Room meals served in cardboard with plastic cutlery that broke whilst trying to cut a gammon… not even a plate and real cutlery offered.
Covid doesn’t prevent food on a plate!

Lovely staff. Chaotic breakfast, not covid friendly as people had to wonder around fending for themselves. One member of staff trying to do it all and she was supposed to be on reception but she still smiled and was charming. Room was clean but a little shabby but good value.

Really clean and comfortable rooms. Staff all wearing PPE and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Didn't get any of their names but every single one we spoke to was helpful, friendly and willing to help in any way they could including the cleaning and maintenance who helped us when we couldn't figure out the TV,. The breakfast options were good with the hot buffet being served by staff to increase safety with staff again wearing full PPE.
We used the swimming pool and they had limited numbers which aided in us feeling more comfortable using the pool.
We were apprehensive about staying in a hotel during this pandemic but it was all very well thought out and we'll definitely book here again next time we come to visit family.

Stayed for one night with my family on the way to our half term holiday house. Only to receive a Parking Eye fine of £100 on our return for parking at the hotel. Customer services hung up on me, the hotel reception was unapologetic and pretty much hung up on me. They told me to wait until the end of March for confirmation from themselves that it has been dealt with! By which time Parking Eye will probably have started court proceedings! An absolute disgraceful service, poor customer service and no faith this issue will be sorted!

Great place… lovely people. Very homely. Even allowed my son to have his swimming lesson. You can't have that in Bristol.

This has to be the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in (including my own)
Arrived at midnight, nothing was too much trouble for the chap at reception
Would have preferred a bath, but that’s just personal preference

Bed bugs in my room noone has a clue what to do fuming my daughter has been bitten and has allergies and general manager doesn't have a clue and the actual manager Mathew Lowe none reachable great service this is and we paid till Tuesday FFS.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Made my little boy feel very welcome and he loved being a VIK! Sorted out 1 of our problems we had with the room very quickly, the second problem never got sorted by them, but it didn’t cause to much problems for us!

No gluten free cakes with afternoon tea after being informed in advance of dietary requirements then not telling me after being presented with cakes containing gluten. Just as well I checked! Spa was filthy. Green algae around the sides of the pool and clumps of hair and plasters etc around the sides of jacuzzi!

They was so helpful and made sure we was both ok they went out there way for us a week later after our stay we had to go back to the hospital and we stayed at the holiday inn again they remembered us and once again went out there way to help The staff are so happy and bubbly and there customer service is amazing
I recommend staying here there’s everything you need and more and the food is amazing I was shocked as it being a good value hotel I wasn’t expecting much but I was so delighted what they have to offer and the help from the staff Next time I will be making use of the spa and pool when I come again as I will be coming back and recommending it to friends and family I would just like to say that I you to all the staff there as they was amazing one of the best hotels iv stayed in :)

We had afternoon tea, using a Groupon. The nicest scone I've ever eaten, lovely and fluffy. I would have liked a bigger pot of tea (but to be fair I didn't ask for a top up). We were the only people there.

Quiet location on the outskirts of the city. Rooms and food were ok. Swimming pool and fitness centre available.
Outdoor facilities invite you to linger.
The staff was friendly and very helpful.
Large parking is available.

We had a very nice 5 day stay with Holiday Inn Swindon. Lovely friendly staff, very clean rooms and the food has been great.

We stayed in the Holiday inn cote water Swindon for 5 days with National Holiday, the hotel was clean modern and spacious. Our room was very clean modern and beautifully decorated, all the staff was very polite and friendly also thank you to Krishna for keeping our room spotless. The food was hot tasty and plenty to choose from, we will definitely stop here again.

Great hotel with a decent-sized restaurant area. I've only stayed once but would definitely stay again if I ever visit nearby again and require accommodation. The room was comfortable, and it's wonderfully situated — it's nice and quiet, and very peaceful for an evening wander. I have no complaints!

Staff are so friendly I thought I was in the States. Standard room is good but the benefits of the executive room (fridge, bottled water, dressing gown + slippers, toiletries, bath, comfier bed) are worth the increased cost. The fitness centre and swimming pool were never very busy so I was able to do what I wanted. Restaurant serves good food and breakfast is standard.

A little out of town, so best if traveling by car. Hotel is 1970s and starting to show its age but staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel has been recently refurbished, which has definitely improved the rooms but the hotel cannot escape the 70s feel entirely. Food in the restaurant is very processed and some portions are very small. Despite this the prices are slightly above average then they add a service charge to the bill, which I find dishonest and causes issues for businesses travellers who have to put meals through expenses. Plenty of parking, just make sure you enter your registration number at reception.

A game of two halves. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast great. Dinners — could be better. Not self-service — very small portions handed out by staff. (Most of our coach party were penshioners but even my 84 year old friend was disappointed by the amount given! ) Poor choice and cold under-cooked veg. Showers in health centre covered in black mould. Dirty floors. Nice pool and helpful staff.

Just popped in to use electric car charger. Very impressed. Free parking. Free Wi-Fi. Nice cuppa and friendly staff. Was able to sit in the warm doing some work whilst car charged.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large parking lot. Comfortable renovated rooms. Good restaurant. A few downsides; No safes or fridges in the rooms. Televisions blocked by key lock (so you might not be able to connect external sources on HDMI). The rooms are little soundproof but it's admissible if the neighbors are not too noisy. Finally, if you move by public transport, the hotel is very well and regularly served but there is no pedestrian crossing to cross the roadways, which can sometimes be a little dangerous…

Very nice room set up for the party. Management seemed very attentive. But food a bit disappointing.

Waited for a customer in my Taxi. Customer was late by 15 minutes. I got there 15 minutes early. Got a £100 parking fine for overstaying by 30 minutes? Spoke to hotel reception. They said they do not own the car park as it’s owned by a private parking company! I will no longer pick up or drop off at this hotel ever again and will recommend customers an alternative hotel.

Not bad, good for the dog. If you have pulled pork burger make sure you get the pork not just a mashed up burger.

Went to a meeting and then buffet lunch for attendees. Friendly pleasant staff. Well equipped conference room which was light and good heating control. Comfortable seating. Food was hot with good variety. Well stocked bar.

The food portions were very inconsistent 7 people on my table had beef most of which was tough, I had the coley which tasted poached in milk and then grilled with burnt herbs on top and dry as hell I had 1 sprout and 4 slices of the person next to me had a sprouts and 13 slices of carrot some people had more than five roast potatoes where some only had 2 or 3 so the portions were inconsistent like I said we asked for more rolls with the starter after asking 2 people it never arrived by that point our mains were on the the table, I then asked for tartare sauce for my fish again asking 2 people it never arrived whereas others asked for more Yorkshire puddings which arrived just minutes later, as one of the meals was that bad my freind ordered a 10 z gammon steak at the cost of nearly £15 which he should not of had to do, so overall we were very disappointed considering it was £45 a ticket we have all had better food at our local weathespoons, after our puddings which we all enjoyed it was casino time but several of our vouchers were stolen off our table so we couldn’t all enjoy the casino but luckily another table replaced some for us as they heard us complain about it. The casino was roulette and black jack which was a lot less than expected considering the ticket price the ladies that ran it were very friendly and made it enjoyable as did the dj, he was relatively good but the food really spoilt the evening leaving us all very disappointed.

Awesome night spent at Holiday Inn for my works christmas do. Fantastic facilities, drinks were a little bit on the expensive side!

This used to be called The Post House in 1984, where I had my Wedding Reception. Things have been updated and changed around a bit, but on the whole very nice, tidy and welcoming. A couple of times, just to 'get out of the house' I have gone and sat in the comfortable Reception area and just had a relaxing cup of frothy coffee. My friend says the small but well equipped gym and pool are very good too.

Room was clean and very comfortable, breakfast was ok, food kept under heat lamps so very dry but very good selection.

Excellent customer service. I can't rate them highly enough. I would recommend them to anyone, and will certainly be using them in the future.

I would like to have given a higher rating because the staff and room were fine. The low rating is due to the high cost of the room to begin with, the highest that I had during my trip to England. This in itself would have been ok except that after I got home I received additional billing for the "free parking "in the amount of 160 pounds. This was charged to my rental car and was taken from my account and is now being charged again by a company called parking eye and their associates. As I am half way around the world from swindon it is difficult and expensive to fight these outrageous additional charges. So patrons beware, I am beginning to wonder if Swindon is the origin of the word swindle, as that's what is happening to me.

The room was cosy, however the walls were paper thin which meant you could hear someone cough, snore and anything else in a neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was a buffet under a hot plate, however the food itself had dried out.

A great place to stay for the annual Swindon Poetry Festival. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was reasonably priced at £10. In addition, the free Wi-Fi helped to sweetened the deal.

Cold and humid room.

Good experience generally, reception were efficient and friendly, room was clean, bed well made with clean sheets. Bathroom was clean, but well stocked with towels and basic toiletries. The only slight issues were some of the fire doors were very stiff, which makes getting to and from the room more difficult with cases etc and my room door had to be pulled hard to shut, the only other point was the toilet glugged 5 minutes after you flushed it which sounded similar to a cat wreching, which may have disturbed other patrons. The cooked breakfast was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful. Free parking too, for £60 very good value.

Member of gym, small but comfortable, nice pool, friendly staff. A tad expensive though.

We stayed in the holiday Inn in Swindon and to be fair it was great. José the front of house manager was so helpful. There were 4 of us staying in a room, my wife and I and our 2 kids. There was a double bed and a double sofa bed which was fine but we also had the travel cot for the little one so it was a bit of a squash. Apart from that it was fine. The breakfast was lovely. Our evening meal was not the best, but edible. The kids meals were very tasty. Staff were very helpful. I recommend joint the IHG club to get best rates.

Me and my husband had our wedding breakfast and reception at the holiday inn on the 22.07.17 we could not recommend it enough. The staff were brilliant nothing was to much for them. The transformation of the rooms were unbelievable and we had so much from them. Also the food was great and the bedroom were great. Thank you all so much for making our day so special. Mr & Mrs Martin.

The wedding function was lovely and well set up. The buffet provided was nice for a small guest list. Bar was expensive but I guess that is the norm these days.

Ate at the holiday Inn swindon and the service was fantastic. Front of house took really good care of us and made it a brilliant night. Food was superb.

Let's start with the pealing paint on the exterior, once you get closer you realise there us excessive mold on the building along with the main building roof sagging… Get inside and while the receptionist is capable she isn't particularly welcoming. Let me take that back I booked a room with 2 beds and even confirmed with her it was after getting to the room it was not and I have to continue back to help her complete her job providing a room with 2 beds… Continuing to your room through small swing doors, horribly stained carpets in almost every hall way and molding separating from doorways along with only every other light in an already dimly lighted hallway burnt out. Continue into the room and let's start with the nasty shower and lack of water pressure… needless to say this property falls in line with some motel 6 or 8 joint. Clearly the worst Holiday inn I have ever stayed in over the many years of business travel. I guess I shouldn't of expected more as it was hard to find a place for the evening… I would suggest you sleep elsewhere unless this is your last option…

Nice quiet Hotel, clean rooms and with double bed very comfortable.

Spent 2 nights. Rooms are very clean and newly renovated. The bathroom is very modern. Staff are very hospitable and happy to help. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are well maintained. There are plenty of options for breakfast. This hotel is an excellent place to have a weekend getaway. I would definitely go back!

Very friendly and helpful staff! Room beds, at least, floor and bathroom clean. Air conditioning works perfectly. Drawback: extreme mold on the Windows and the ventilation system in the bathroom. It depends a Info, that at the moment of renewal work to be carried out, so I don't want to give up completely negative.

Great staff, ok location for exploring Wiltshire. Building looking a bit tired though.

This hotel was very tired. When I opened the windows I noticed that the window cill was rotton. The carpets need renewing. The health club was extremely dirty mould in the showers. Very dissapointing.

Scammers working in the car park. I have just received a £100 fine for parking in the car park — despite staying in the hotel. When I tried to phone the hotel to point out I was parking as their guest, I found they are using an expensive telephone number where I am charged for the privilege of speaking to them. Unimpressed.

Parking is a real issue. Reception also not on ground floor — not ideal when you've got suitcases.

The staff at Holiday Inn were very friendly. I have no complaints whatsoever about the room, (very clean and tidy) the food (plenty of selection) or facilities. All great. I would certainly recommend it and would go back again.

First time and last time, they should not use the brand Holiday Inn Hotel. HAs been fun in the '70 but never improved anything. Dirty room, very dirty bathroom, tiles are loosening from the wall and so on.
