Amazing views and great service! Highly recommended.

Lovely location, nice menu, friendly female on the phone, not so male in the bar. Surprised they don’t offer any coffee apart from americano’s and no alternative milk. Not sure how in current climates (covid) they can get away with only Offering bar service and not table service. But hey ho. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I met my daughter after school for a mooch around the shops and for a hot chocolate. Sadly all the cafes were shut but the wonderful staff at the Kings Arms accommodated us. Brilliant service, lovely atmosphere and great prices. We'll definitely call in again!

We stopped for lunch here to break up a long drive, and it was superb. Delicious and filling tapas selection, great coffee and excellent service. If we love bed in the area this could have become a regular lunch spot!

Great food and wonderfully helpful staff all in all a great night out. Tapas menu varied and delicious. Had a great 70th birthday meal here and highly recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful lunch, tapas was so original and gorgeous, if you never do anything else have the date sponge with butterscotch sauce! best dessert ever. Hosts and service impeccable. Well done.

We were out with friends who have a dog and they are dog friendly, always a plus. Fab service, wonderful, tasty tapas food. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. They have only been open 6 weeks! Didn’t see the rooms but everything was decorated to a high standard and the beer garden at the back was lovely too. If we were looking to stay in the area, we would not go anywhere else.

Firstly the atmosphere was lovely. Staff attentive and the food was awesome. The menu is multiple selection of food from all over the world. Small portions which can be shared. A bit like tapas/pico's. For those who are still hungry it's great as you can order more and it arrives really quickly. A lovely lunch out in a pretty town.

The KA is an amazing building in a unique historic town. Right in the Centre of everything, a fresh look for this Hotel / Restaurant is just what Malmesbury needed. Looking forward to opening night!

The bar seems to be better decorated and appointed each time I visit, about once a year, very pleasant late afternoon.

I’ve been in the kings arms on serval occasions with my partner. From our very first visit we’ve had the warmest of welcomes every time, every time we’ve dined with KA it’s been a memorable and fulfilling evening they consistently exceeded our expectations. We both order Cams of Tetbury sirloin steak, Unquestionably the best steak I’ve had, from the cook to how well rested it is they’ve nailed it. The peppercorn sauce is creamy and perfect. Considering it’s only £15.95 including your chips, blows my mind.

We went to the kings arms for a roast today, the food was lovely, fabulous friendly staff. There were nine of us and the service was very quick. I highly recommend the kings arms.

A nice, historic inn located in the centre of Malmsbury. Nice food, good wine list and very reasonable prices. Also has a pub opposite. Worth a try.

Nice old hotel. Rooms are a bit too old. Very friendly staff and a cozy bar/restaurant. The continenral breakfast was soso.

Went in for lunch sounded good starter and main £10. Had to call the waitress back as there was hair in my soup. Staff apologised the main meal was chicken covered with cheese and chips with a few bits of rocket which was called salad. A pint of lager cost £4 which I thought was expensive. Sorry I didn't enjoy this place.

Attractive inn, and keeps good beer in the main bar (Wiltshire Gold recommended). But closes *ridiculously* early. What possible justification is there for calling last orders at a coaching inn at 10pm for goodness’ sake?

Friendly, welcoming and very hard working staff in a greatly improved hotel. Highly recommended.

Even though the hotel is looking a little worn and run down the staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

A few more seating places would be good for the pub. And access to the pool table upstairs. The hotel rooms were dirty. Beer was good.

Very warm, cosy and friendly ambience to relax with a delicious coffee and double chocolate muffin after shopping on a chilly morning. Even the dog chilled out! Lunch menu looked inviting too.

Great place for a quick lunch.

We had a brilliant lunch here. Despite being a large party of 11 we were comfortably seated around a table easily big enough for us all with plenty of space around for everyone. The service was good and the food was delicious, enjoyed by all; the vegetarian options more than on a par with meat dishes and plenty of variety. Out meal with drinks was also excellent value for money. There is a lovely atmosphere with an open fire and a warm welcome. Highly recommended.

The heating at night was unbearable, stupidly hot and noisy, room basic and not worth the price, where was the thermostat?

Very homey place to have coffee and snack with a warm welcome of a wood fire.

Absolutely wonderful atmosphere, food and service for my mother in laws birthday. Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were friendly. Enjoyed it that much, we have booked for this weekend.

A lovely old building, a former coach house in its past.

Very friendly place, also not too expensive. However on the other hand, they leave other door open late at night for other guests. The place is quite dirty including a wee in our toilet, the most disgusting limescale in our kettle, very dusty, and mould around the windows. Yet to eat breakfast, we shall see! Parking is also a nightmare. Very narrow doorway leading to car park. Sheets are very hard and dry, bed is also very hard. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again but it's ok for the money! The taxis around here are ridiculous, £30 for a 10 minute journey!

Room very dirty dog ends in draw bed very uncomfortable mattress very old blankets on beds dirty bathroom disgusting lots of noise from pub youngsters shouting outside breakfast to late not that I whould of ate there anyway wall paper coming off walls very disappointing staff were ok but the whole place needs a good clean and redecorate will not be going back.

The pub looked nice and the breakfast was ok but expensive. As a hotel it was horrible. The room was very unclean to the point that the shower/bath couldn't be used, it would take months of not being cleaned properly to get that bad. The room was very noisy and the windows didn't close, it's not safe or clean enough to take a child. There were left over items from other guests left in the room including painkillers left in a draw. There was no toilet roll in the room and it was very difficult to find anyone to book in or talk to about any problem. Dispite trying we did not get a refund or any problems resolved. I would not recommend that anyone stays here or needs are pretty basic from a room but not even these were met.

Compared with alternatives, The Kings Arms isn't the best. It's expensive, lacked good quality Wi-Fi and lacked adequate quality accommodation. I chose it as I didn't know better; once I did I didn't book again.

Went in at about 2pm on a Sunday (6/8/17) for the carvery. The place was empty other than 1 family, the staff were a little vague in explaining the offerings (think new) but we placed drinks orders and went to the servery… The meat seemed just a couple of slices / bits and the sauces looked solid with the few vegetables baked under heat lamps and ages old, but no joints of meats and no-one around to serve. Finally someone came out to say only pork and gammon available and these were the veg and no reduction for lack of meats or freshly cooked food. I asked had it been busy they said no, (still had 3hrs left of service! ) Decided to pay for drinks (when they finally came) and abandon the food, went down road to the Smoking Dog for a fantastic fresh cooked meal — so TOP TOP TIP before you order food (or drinks), take a wander to the back and see what is available — no pic as asked not to.

Character hotel in the centre of the town, good food and reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Will visit again.

Fast service with easy check-in/out after long travels. Into the room in under 5 mins. Room was clean and comfortable but slightly noisy.

This places has good beer and rocking beats night for all those wishing for a night out in Malmesbury head over to the KA.

Traditional cosey British pub, with friendly bartender's. Good selection of ale, cider and largers. Snooker table and gambling game.

The hotel was ok for the price but the bed was very uncomfortable springs popping and felt like a 2 by 4 was in the middle of my back. The drive back to parking is suitable for smaller cars but pretty tight for a wider Volvo x60. The location was excellent in the town centre, which was excellent because they did not serve dinner on Sunday night. The staff was very helpful and efficient.

The staff are friendly enough, the food ok and the beer acceptable, but despite having a log fire and a sports bar (where a badly sited TV screen shows soccer and rugby) the place is… souless. It doesn't seem to have any atmosphere. There are more engaging establishments in the town.

. An extremely well situated hotel, on the High Street and within spitting distance of the main sights of the pretty little town. It is an old coaching inn, full of charm, and must be very attractive to tourists, especially those from abroad. Haven't been here for a dozen years, but was pleasantly surprised by how they have made a little seating-out area at the back. To reach there — and the carpark — you have to go through a narrow archway that was probably built for pack horses a few centuries ago. Pull your wing mirrors in, it can be negotiated! I was also delighted by the welcome from all staff, and the polite, friendly and professional way they carried out their duties. Nice breakfast too, cooked to order, none of this Left-For-Two-Hours-On-A-Hot-Tray rubbish. These were big positives. But. But they have their work cut out to bring the hotel itself up to scratch. I was in single occupancy in a double room. Luckily, because if it had been double occupancy we wouldn't have coped! It was very cramped, very. Probably the smallest bedroom as it is the one immediately above the narrow archway to the carpark. So small no room for two bedside cabinets. So small the shower-room door hit the lavatory when you opened it. Too small for two people — it should be re-graded a single. The floor was very uneven and sloping, but that is all part of the Olde Worlde Charm!

Friendly staff and great location, couldn't ask for more!

I am a student and I felt like I got a brilliant value for my money. The other hotels locally are much more expensive, and for a short stay that you don't want to be too costly, this place is perfect. The rooms were always cleaned well and the staff were very helpful. The pub downstairs was also really nice and it's a shame it closed at 10pmish because I'd have liked to have gone more. I was really happy with it. I had to use my foot to push the key to lock the door, but that was just funny, and needs a slight oil or something, but aside from that, I had a wonderful experience. The room layout is also brilliant and snug and I had 4 lovely evenings there. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for one night for a wedding nearby. Not impressed. Everywhere was dirty. The corners of the bathroom floor had not been cleaned in months and had hair and dust in them. The carpet in the bedroom round the skirting boards was the same. Basic cleaning has just not been carried out here.
