We are here in November and enjoyed our food despite service being terrible and slow, not enough staff to run restaurant and bar. Have tried to book several times for a large group dinner for the night before our wedding and have had no response, even went in to enquiry last time we were in Tetbury but no one was able to help and was told my details would be passed to management to call me. Never did. It’s a shame because when we have eaten it is lovely however the customer service really lets this place down.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Service was good. Egg mayo n cress sandwich could have been better. The ham and mustard was perfect. Lots of filling.

Went here on 26 Oct and the service was awful. My partner waited 1 hout to order a drink. Junior staff doing thier best, no sign of the management? Don't go here.
Also food ordered was different to what came.

Information/dietary requirements of customer are not fed thru from booking staff to appropriate dept. They offered to change the date of our booked meal but the 100 mile round trip was a birthday trip out and will be difficult to repeat in the near future.

ALL staff were very welcoming & friendly. Room fab. Food was excellent, highly recommend.

Haven’t been here for years and today’s visit confirmed The Snooty Fox as one of our favourite places.

Great rooms (with plenty of USB sockets — always a bonus), friendly staff, a cosy fire & hearty fare. What's there not to like (their lamb rump is to die for! ). The public car park is close by & reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Great location and recommend food. Loved the town. Not much there for kids though as you would expect.

Absolutely charming service, presentation and staff.
Our third visit and certainly not our last. Cigar with brandy in the library would have been the cherry on the top, but modern rules preclude the cigar! Change nothing.

Nice simple Gastro Pub food. We had the loveliest waitress with a fab sense of humour. Especially over the funky banana ice cream. Nice environment and people.

First time visiting to check it out before buying vouchers for family members for gifts. care to say I was not disappointed at all, food was lovely, friendly staff and extremely brilliant round my 2 year old son. Deffiently worth visiting.

It’s not Snooty it’s a welcoming friendly place to be. A great choice of real ales, wine and a huge gin selection. So if you’re in Tetbury pay it a visit.

Friendly bar staff but service was a bit slow. Food was good. Enjoyable historic inn with lovely features. Always clean and well set out.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and has a lovely stay. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for us, I love the south west country accents! Food was amazing and our room was recently refurbished and was perfect. We will no doubt return.

It's an ancient creaking old place built it says in 1594 during the reign of the first Elizabeth… we tried to eat. But that proved difficult… we got the impression staff were busy being staff and didn't really have the time to bother about the customers… we seemed to be a detail. And not really important… parking is not easy despite what they say… that it is easy and abundant… however it is pleasant enough.

Had a lovely two night stay here in a huge 4 poster room. Breakfast and dinner on both days were excellent with delicious food, generous portions and well presented. Staff very friendly and we would certainly return. Only drawback is that the hotel doesn't have its own car park and although there is car park at the rear it made loading and unloading a little problematic.

Richard made us feel very welcome. Our room was lovely. Food excellent and service. The only thing is the decor is a little tried but great place. Would stay again.

I stayed here last night, the room was really nice and the staff were friendly. If you're driving then there's a pay and display car park at the back of the building but if you follow the road down to The Royal Oak then there is free on road parking opposite the pub, it's a 5 minute walk, bear in mind it is uphill though. The breakfast was good I had a Full English, the only downside is that you have to ask for hash browns and black pudding, it says this on the menu but in a hungover state I didn't read it properly.

Lovely atmosphere, great staff and service. We had the Meaty Platter to share which was more than enough for two at lunchtime. Great food!

We discovered this through a Virgin holiday voucher given to us for Christmas. What a lovely place, great location and really good for those with dogs. Served food throughout the day and had a nice selection of beverages. Great staff, dog friendly.

Great weekend. Room good but slightly on the small side. Service excellent and food delicious.

Very impressed. We attended a wedding at the Old Tythe Barn. It was short 10 minute walk to the venue. We were offered early check in which meant we could get ready at the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was superb, very good value. It included a full cooked breakfast and a selection of fruit, cereal and toast. Would highly recommend.

Very nice hotel located in the centre of Tetbury. There are only 12 rooms but they are huge and well stocked with coffee, tea, biscuits and toiletries. We had dinner and breakfast there and the service and food were excellent for both. The hotel doesn't have any parking available but there's a reasonably priced pay & display car park just around the corner.

Very warm and cosy bar area with a good sized separate restaurant, we enjoyed our cream teas here in the front lounge while visiting the lovely town of Tetbury!

My husband made a last minute booking last weekend. Wasn't sure what to expect but have to say the hotel was lovely. Comfy 4 poster bed although room was a bit cold due to poor weather. The spa bath was awesome. Especially with a glass of Champagne and bubbles. The outstanding point of our stay was the impeccable food and lovely friendly staff. … Special thanks to the Manager who obviously works very hard and made us feel so welcome. We will return in the Summer.

Salmon — must try, well cooked. 3 out of 6 ordered salmon, the remaining three wish they did as well after trying it. Very satisfied. Cute pub, lots of space and lovely wood fire in the main bar. Plenty of charm about it.

Went for afternoon tea as we were given an afternoon tea voucher. We enjoyed most of it but the scones were the worst ones I've ever had dry dence and too much baking powder left your mouth with bitter taste and fizzing. Change the receipe! Otherwise experience not wow but nice x.

We'd been given a voucher for an afternoon tea on the Saturday, so decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay on Friday. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The room, with an enormous four poster bed & whirlpool bath, was spacious and just lovely, a perfect place to relax before dinner. Our evening meal was delicious, the triple cooked chips were possibly the best I've ever had, and my husband is still raving about his whitebait starter. The four poster bed was not only huge, but very comfy, and the whirlpool bath was really relaxing. When we went for breakfast, we were told to help ourselves to bread, toast, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. While our hot drinks were being made. We could order a number of cooked breakfasts and both opted for a full English, which was just the right size, and perfectly cooked.
We booked out, but returned for afternoon tea later, and again, all the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. A wonderful 24 hours, thank You,

Only had a drink here, a couple in fact, and despite the grand surroundings the prices were very pub like. The atmosphere was charming, the staff welcoming and the food looked very attractive. A classic historic building which is a popular hotel in the area. There is not any on site parking and the roads of this delightful town can be congested. Children and dogs welcome. Do visit Tetbury.

Had a lunch with our friends and toddlers, food and service was excellent. Would definitely revisit if back in Tetbury.

Just stopped for a coffee to warm up and get out of the cold. Lovely pub with a real fire and a friendly bar man opposite the market place.

We only ate here but the food was lovely. The staff were helpful and good at what they did. Even on a busy Saturday night you weren't kept waiting.

Fabulous hotel! We decided to stay for 2 nights because of the wonderful service and the superior room was beautiful with jacuzzi bath. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Lovely log fireplace in the bar and the food was exceptional.

Have just stayed for two nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our room was beautifully clean and comfortable with a lovely supply of tea/coffee etc. We ate in the restaurant for both evenings and mornings and could not fault any part of it. The food was lovely and beautifully presented and the staff on both evenings were so friendly and helpful it really made our time there more enjoyable. Thank you very much — we will return.

The meeting room was well laid out if a little cramped and the food arrived on time and was ok. It would have been possible to slide another table onto the end of the rows of tabes already there and it would have alleviated the cramping issue.

Stopped for a bite to eat while cycling and enjoyed a lovely lunch.

Lovely very old place to stay, you can feel the history that it has all through it. The staff are lovely, most of the food is very good. I did have one meal that I was not keen on which was the chicken ceaser salad as for some reason there was a fish layer at the base of it & there was far too many croutons in it & it lacked flavour compared to other chicken caesar salads I have had in the past. The whole place is decorated to a very good standard but for the couple of nights we spent there our room was a little on the cold side & there was only a very light summer quilt on the bed & there was no extra blankets in the room, so they do need to realise to put the heating on. The bed was not very comfortable & the pillows felt lumpy. They also need to put some drinks coasters in the rooms as when we made ourselves hot drinks I had to use tissues as coasters as I did not want to cause heat rings on the lovely furniture. There was a very good selection of teas, coffee & drinking chocolate in the room. There was someone staying in either room 5 or 6 that were using cannabis as the smell when we walked past those rooms was very unpleasant. There was also an inconsiderate person staying in room 3 that kept slamming the door late into the evening. We would stay here again as apart from the little niggles we liked it very much.

Brilliant stuff, perfect location, good selection of wine and beer. Lots of space and different rooms to enjoy a quiet meal, a few drinks or even watch some sports.

Food was very tasty but small portion size so I was hungry after and food was very expensive. Very nicely presented food with expensive ingredients cooked fresh. Very helpful and polite staff. Five star food hygiene. Good size food portion for people with small appetites or people on a diet.

Superb building but staff didn't seem to no what was happening, we'd booked a table an the first member of staff said ask at the bar, also ran out of Sunday lunches and had no Yorkshire puddings. Staff were lovely just need more communication with each other.

We stopped for a delicious lunch. Staff were very friendly, and we were served an exceptional duck confit. Excellent local ales were on tap and service was fairly quick. Would happily return and recommend.

Stopped for a bite to eat. Incredibly friendly and went above and beyond for my daughter who chose something that was unavailable at the time from the menu. Would definitely visit again.

The building is gorgeous in its history. We were looked after by very friendly and polite staff. Evening meal was truly scumptious and the breakfast the next day was just heavenly and gave me a thoroughly good start to the day. Our room was well set out and the highlight was the bath tub, which had an inbuilt jacuzzi — wow!

Can't review the hotel but the restaurant is very good.

We only had rinks due to the time, but the bar was wonderful and the ambiance was fantastic.

Food was amazing, rooms are far too tatty and uncomfortable to warrant the high price per night. Staff friendly and breakfast lovely. Will come back for food again but not to stay.

Good food and very prompt service in the bar The bedroom was well laid out, spacious, the bed comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was great. Breakfast was superb, eggs benedict cooked perfectly.
