First time I’ve ever been to a pub that has run out of wine glasses. Food was ok but pizzas came out a long time before the rest of the food. Such a shame, this used to be a great pub.

Had a fab meal tonight. Steak.

Offer the menu you say you have on your website would be a start! Slow service and mediocre food.

Poor service at best average food. Ordered 6 meals 3 pizza and 3 mains. Pizza arrived, waited a 5 minutes then the next meal arrived, 5 minutes later the next then nothing, so when we asked we were told it hadn’t been ordered? Not at one point did any member of staff come and ask if our meals we ok, after we mentioned the missing meal, nobody came anywhere near us. They did discount the bill. But this was a half empty restaurant. Probably because of poor service. Never to return. When the fish and chips did arrive looked like it was thrown on the plate.

All be it I have reccomend this place… the food was mediocre at best… pizza burnt… burger roll burnt and mac n cheese needed more cheese… staff very friendly and helpful.

Terrible service, organised party with a weeks notices for 15 people was absolutely shambles food served late and wrong some people didn’t have their meals at all, no condiments on the table
Birthday cake delivered with no knife to cut it with. The last puddings were brought out which was far to late as we were all just preparing to leave we highly recommended that you don’t organise a party of more than 2 people because they can’t cope The phrase “ piss up in a brewery” comes to mind.
I rate this a 1 star.

Long established family restaurant with a good mix of traditional family dishes (pizzas, steaks, burgers, fish & chips). It’s a regular venue for locals with a good range of beers at the bar, a huge open fire in the winter.

The hotel ticked all the right boxes for our 2 night stay…
friendly, buzzing, amazing food, clean, attentive staff, a 5 star weekend.

Eaten here a few times in the past and always thought the food was amazing, all local produce. A bit disappointed to find menu was only burgers and pizzas but food was still delicious (A few specials on offer) The egg on my pizza wasn't cooked properly — watery whites — it was changed and taken off the bill.

Not great bit disappointing after being recommended as local food etc. Basically it was a pub with pizza and chips. Somr nice beers but would not recommend going for the food.

Ate here last night after being recommended by a friend. I couldn't fault it one iota. Every course was well presented and every mouthful was a delight. I had the pork rillette, which was as smooth as you like and an incredibly tasty fresh picalilli. For main, I had the tenderloin wrapped in pancetta with polenta. Equally delicious, perfectly cooked pork that barely needed a knife to cut through. The affogato for dessert was the perfect end. Dolcetti ice cream always goes down well and the coffee with it was a surprise highlight. Very very good coffee. The staff were attentive and polite. Faultless experience in every sense of the word and I'll definitely be coming back. Darren Midwinter.

Lovely countryside hotel and pub. Well presented, adequate parking and lovely cosy bar with great food, reasonably priced and a cracking selection of beverages.

Pleasant and helpful service. Quite an old building but they've done the very best they can with it.

Lovely place. Popped through the area for a couple of days and wandered upon this delightful little gem. Large outside seating area, serving food and being dog friendly. 5 star service too6

Used to be my favourite restaurant, I haven't been here since it changed ownership and the new ones have ruined it. The lovely beer has been replaced and the size of the pizza has shrunk. Kids pizza is £4.50 and adults is around £12 and is literally the same size. The chips are now not home made as they were and also the mayonnaise used to be amazing here and now is out of the bottle. staff were helpful but I cannot express enough what a crying shame it is that changes have been made to cut costs that have ultimately made the whole place not a patch on what it was. Again the food was very nice but it's gone from absolutely amazing to just nice. If you haven't been here before don't let this review put you off, you will enjoy the meal. If you want here before then you will understand what I mean.

Really enjoyed the night here. Very good drink selection and nice food. Friendly staff and efficient service. The room was a bit tired and quite noisy next door. But of a shame as did like the place.

Solid food, fairly good experience. One of the better places to eat in Tetbury.

Very nice hotel situated in tetbury. Good selection of food at a reasonable price. Located near a Tesco which is handy but no banks in and around tetbury. Rooms clean and tidy with room service available. Would stay again.

Lovely placed, clean rooms. Breakfast charges confusing. It's room only unless you want to add a cooked breakfast for £10.00, if you don't want one there's other options at all different prices, unsure if tea and coffee we're complimentary or not. Ordered toast and jam but lots of toast in baskets put out so left unsure what I could take for the £2 50 as there was 7 of us.

Having recently visited stargazy fish bar we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. The chips and fish looked and tasted as if they were warmed up from the day before. The home made day tartare sauce we paid £1.50 for was a sachet! Don't think we will be visiting again.

Stayed here for work. Nice and cozy inn. Has all the basics I need.

Great hotel in Tetbury. Very good reception and staff. Room looking a little dated now but the price is well placed. Great breakfast in the restaurant which sources food within 30 mile radius. Open fire is the restaurant centre piece, keeping it all cosy.

When I booked this, I wasn't expecting much. The reception area is downstairs and wasn't that impressive either. However, the room pleasantly surprised me. Very comfortable, might be slightly noisy for since people, o diet just fine. Room had locally sourced cookies rather than generic manufactured ones and nicely wrapped pouch of toiletries. Breakfast wasn't super impressive.

Not as good as we'd expected for the cost of the room. Rooms are definitely in need of a refurb and were extremely warm, even with radiators off and windows wide open. Breakfast choice was excellent but the quality and quantity disappointed. A quarter of a grilled tomato, a hard boiled 'poached egg' and a dessert spoon of beans. The homemade bread was the only highlight. My friends room had dirty sheets and my towels were badly stained. Would not be my first choice if staying in Tetbury again.

My family had a great lunch out at the Priory. The staff were friendly, professional and informative. It was encouraging to see such an emphasis placed on local sourcing of food. There was an extensive menu, including a children's menu that suited even my fussy children! The food was lovely. We'll definitely be back!

Visited The Priory Inn whilst on a short break in the Cotswolds. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We spent some time sitting in their lovely garden in the sunshine surrounded by fruit trees and herbs. The food being served to others sitting outside looked so good we decided to go back later in the day for a meal. I am so pleased that we did as I had one of the best pizzas that I have ever been served, we will definately visit again in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome especially Derek.

A brilliant pub / restaurant, simple menu, nice ambient atmosphere however don't expect anything extraordinary. This is what you would call standard pub with a slight twist.

It's a pub near work, that's it, just happens to be handy.

The family love going here is good the food I'd good do book in advance if you want to go at normal meal time it gets busy.

Went for lunch and was treated to some great food. Our waitress was attentive and the atmosphere very pleasant, would certainly eat here again.

Great location in the centre of Tetbury. Good room with a fantastic breakfast and friendly staff.

Good food, but the service was a bit average. Offered the dessert menu but nobody took our order. In the end gave up, and went to pay for the main course at the bar.

Great food. Try the pizzas. The Wagyu burger is a must try.

Had lunch here recently. Very nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. I would recommend trying their chips, they were really good.

Tried the Priory for the first time for a lunch with close family. The setting was most welcoming as were all the staff, the menu had an excellent range with something for everyone. The service was extremely friendly and polite and the food well cooked and presented, I will certainly book again on my next visit to Tetbury.

Let's be honest here, we chose to stay at the The Priory Inn for our visit to Westonbirt primarily due to location and price. What we didn't expect but were delighted to receive, was such a warm welcome from the staff, a large, clean, quiet and comfortable room with a HUGE bed. Loved the bed! Also, we very much appeciated the well stocked hospitality tray; especially the Cotswold Hills Spring Water and locally made biccies. The bathroom, while small, was clean and fresh smelling and had the biggest bath towels I have ever seen in my life! The shower was hot and powerful too, so another box ticked. We decided to eat in the restaurant which boasts a 30 mile ethos. We certainly challenged them by ordering pizza but even the organic flour came from a local mill. Everything is cooked to order so, even if there is a little wait at busy times, it sure is worth it. Each dinner table also had an update from the owners — an interesting read for me anyway. I am a keen cook and grow my own herbs, so I enjoyed reading about The Priory Inn's development in this area with the renowned Jekka McVicar. The Priory also provides space for talented local artists. Many of these are for sale. Their works — not the artists themselves! Breakfast was fab too. Everything was locally sourced and cooked to perfection.

Thoroughly enjoyable meal, delicious, locally sourced food and friendly staff. A really great experience.

Great customer service — they managed to fit us in at super late notice without any issues at all. The staff were all well-mannered and efficient, and took the time to make us feel welcome and wanted. The food was excellent — well balanced meals, good portion size and a great mix of original flavours. Given the bill at the end of the meal, it was absolutely outstanding. We will definitely make the return visit.

Stayed a few times, always very clean rooms. Staff have always been friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food is very good and very good value.

Bright, welcoming, family restaurant with local ingredients. VERY child friendly: they let the kids decorate their own pizza bases and then watch it cooking in the pizza oven. We go there regularly.

Having had a very enjoyable visit to Highgrove, our group of 24 were looking forward to lunch at the Priory Inn. With the exception of 2 guests who had fish, the remainder of the group were very disappointed. The lunch had been pre-booked a week before so there was no excuse for the chicken dish not to have shallots which were on the menu. Apart from some small pieces of carrot, there were no vegetables with the chicken. The meals were very poor value and to pay extra for coffee was an insult. I would not recommend this Inn to anyone who appreciates good food.

We stayed here with 6 people (4 adults + 2 children) for 7 nights. The rooms were okay. Bathroom was a bit small (kudos to the architect for cramming verything into that space) but clean and the rooms were tidy and adequately equiped. Staff were very friendly and accustomed to little children. Crayons and drawing paper were always present, as well as other toys and books. The food was quite brilliant. They have adopted a policy of only buying from suppliers/producers in a 30 mile zone and this alone deserves recommendation. The pizzas are made in a real wood oven and they always have specials next tot the traditional servings. I especially recommend the duck with garlic mash. Delicious! In short: best value for money you'll be able to find in a 30 mile zone and an excellent cuisine. We'll definitely be coming back.
