Lovely experience — friendly & helpful staff, nice breakfast, comfy rooms in a quiet neighborhood; the Prince of Wales pub is very close. An easy walk to the bus to City Centre, too.

We had 2 nights here last week. Rooms very dated and dark, 3 lights on and still couldn't read a book without a torch, dripping toilet in bathroom, poor shower. The whole hotel needs renovation both external and internal. Breakfast barely adequate but certainly not £15 worth per person. Positives… Staff friendly, making the most of what they had to work with. Pleasant bar. Lovely area, by the Iffley canal, free parking and close to public transport. Excellent Indian meal in the evening. Only a 2 star in our opinion and expensive at £178.20 for a double room for 2 nights with breakfast.

Great food very friendly staff. Always a pleasure to be at the tree hotel at iffley for food or drinks in the garden. Great location close to the river Thames. The manager is always very welcoming and inviting to come and be part of the experience and helps in anyway he can.

I met with long-standing friends from school here as it was centrally located for all of us. We were greeted personally by Namit and made to feel very welcome by the entire staff. We enjoyed the three course set menu which was great value. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Have been here several times. Used function room for family birthdays etc. Food absolutely lovely. Staff very polite and friendly.

Bar area was very nice, clean and warm. The staff were amazing and friendly.

The Indian food selection is large, and contains many gems, including Dal Makhani, one of our favorite dishes. The Sunday buffet is both well prioced and varied, including both carvery and a selection of indian curries, and sides. The beer & cider selection could be improved, with usually two ales and one cider available. High quality tea selection. The service is excellent, both for recurring locals and visitors to the area.

What a lovely hotel. Staff are lovely the room was huge and it even had a settee so you could relax. Bathroom had a corner bath plus a shower cubicle. Was amazed by the size of it. Would definitely recommend the tree at iffley.

A great evening enjoyed at the Tree. Thanks to Named and his team for giving us such a warm welcome and to share in celebrating the Lori festival with bonfire, dancing and music. A great way to dispel January gloom with excellent Indian foods to follow. We’ve enjoyed Indian cuisine at the Tree before and it never dissapoints. Great flavours.

Great location, great food, great selection of drinks with great service. A good place for a quick drink or a longer stay. Ample parking space. It also has an outdoor play area for the kids. Great place situated in a nice quite area.

Our family have just enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner here! The food was amazing, the staff were polite and attentive and the venue was perfect. It was one of the best Christmas dinners we have had and we will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Charmingly eccentric place. Sunday buffet lunch was a mixture of Chinese, Indian and English dishes. Pleasant enough but no wow. The waiters added to the atmosphere delivering apple crumble when creme brulee was ordered.

I live nearby and have often used the restaurant on Sunday lunchtimes for the buffet. Excellent choice and always changing menu. Very good quality. The bar area offers a good variety of food which is well cooked and presented. Namit the manager is a superb host.

The Tree is set in beautiful Iffley and has ample parking. We were welcomed in and shown our table. The staff were courteous and polite. The food (we all had curries) was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Working locally for a couple of days and always on the look out for something vegan for dinner. These guys have a whole vegan menu to choose from. I had the malabar tofu curry and it was lovely. Super nice people, too. And the beer's good. Good experience all round. Nice pub atmosphere, quite busy with locals.

I can only comment on the pub and restaurant as I live nearby and so have obviously never stayed there. I love this place. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food and drink are excellent and in particular the Sunday lunch buffet is wonderful. It offers a wide variety of Asian and European food as well as a carvery, so you can choose one or the other, or mix and match. If you are in Iffley or Rose Hill, it is easy to get to on foot, and it is only a short ride on the no. 3 bus from the centre of Oxford. Well worth a visit.

Quite a poor experience. The tree feels like a pub that is trying to be a hotel. The rooms are very dated with some of the least comfortable beds I have ever encountered. The bathroom is very basic (and feels like a pub toilet) and bizarrely, the sink is in the main bedroom rather than the bathroom. This means you are likely to disturb your partner whilst washing your hands if you use the toilet in the night. The standard of accommodation was barely suitable for a hostel and we feel quite let down.

Yet another fabulous lunch at the Tree. There is comfy seating in the bar area and a modern restaurant where you can find a delicious buffet on Sundays. Indian dishes are sitting comfortably next to a Sunday carvery. The manager is extremely accommodating and the atmosphere is very family friendly. We have celebrated two christenings here. A lovely place!

We had our friends gathering with BBQ at the Tree Hotel in Iffley to celebrate our getting married. We had a set up outside with possibility to stay inside in case of the rain. Food was fantastic and everybody had a good time. I highly recommend for any family gathering, events. Brilliant athmosphere.

Good size room. Bathroom really dated. And what about the toilet… Breakfast is served only up to 8.45h… Medium Pub. Risotto with truffles without truffles, lasagna with vegetables in a box… a little far from the city.

Had our daughters christening here and from start to finish the staff at the tree were amazing. Couldn't recommend a better place for a function. You made our day memorable with great and friendly staff and fantastic food! We were lucked with 30 degrees and the garden was the perfect atmosphere.

Good location. Of can go walk to the Centre via a beautiful road next to the river. Also in bus. Has parking. Renovated old hotel, spacious rooms.

Poor selection of food for the sunday buffet, Drinks are very expensive too. Also very over priced for the quality of food there, would not return. Pub quality food with a expensive restaurant price.

Its an outstanding hotel… to go for… with amazing staff and fantastic cuisines… the location of the hotel adds extra stars to the performance. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very spacious. The breakfasts were quite excellent. The pub served tasty ales and ciders and mixture of Indian and English cousin. Whatever we needed the staff obtained for us. We certainly feel that we can highly recommend this excellent hotel.

Nice quiet little pub for lunch's but not able to handle very large groups well.

Service chaotic terrible menu, they have stuffed (not filled' jacket potatoes! I did not realise that it is an Indian restaurant.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night in September 2014. Very friendly staff. The English breakfast here was very good. I must point out that the room I stayed in was a bit dusty. The location is also not close to the city centre, but the bus stop is a few minutes walk from here. However, I enjoyed my stay at The Tree Hotel.
