Our room was lovely, nice and clean, comfortable bed, good shower which always makes a nice change.
Good choice for breakfast and nicely cooked.

We had a family event recently and they were very efficient and friendly. The food was tasty and plentiful and I would thoroughly recommend.

We just had our Saturday takeaway from the Crown House Hotel. It was delicious. Easy to order on the phone and very friendly staff. We took a photo of the menu displayed outside the hotel on our walk last weekend; it has changed slightly this weekend but still good. And we were able to have glass of wine and beer in the cosy lounge while we were waiting to collect. We will be back!

A tad disappointed if I'm honest. The rooms were a tad dated, though very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was a buffet style and, with options for cereal, yoghurt etc, but ultimately pretty average. No restaurant for evening meals. I didn't really feel it was value for money. The service however was friendly and polite.

It was a lovely day so it 2 as great to be able to enjoy the patio and garden. Unfortunately our buffet was served in the conservatory which was very hot. — not so good for sandwiches etc. I asked about gluten and dairy free options and as the buffet was not suitable they brought me out a special plate of food. Unfortunately the ladies room is upstairs on the first floor. I didn't see a lift but there might have been one. In ghe bar area there is a big change in floor height with a slope rather than a step but it is all the same flooring so it is not very obvious.

Lovely old historic hotel. Beautiful gardens. Peaceful setting in quiet village. Excellent breakfast, but shame that restaurant currently closed. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Friendly staff.

With family in Great Chesterford I often go up for family get togethers. The rooms are a bit dated in decoration but are clean and a good size. Have stayed here a few times a year for about 10 years.

Bad stay unfortunately. Nice people however building although old and charming is too outdated. Shower has no pressure and no cold water. Burnt myself. Also there's been strong wind during the night, the whole building was shaking. My bed was moving. Funny experience.

Absolutely lovely hotel large clean rooms with an excellent breakfast and in a convenient location for both road and rail.

Lovely coaching inn hotel with good sized rooms and good common facilities. Breakfast menu is good with helpful service. Reasonably priced, some rooms are in a newer annexe, check room location when booking. Hotel is a short walk from the local village, shops and pubs.

My wife and I decided to go back to the hotel in which we were married two years ago. Still has the very friendly and helpful staff as before. The food was excellent and the room was lovely. So many lovely memories, Thankyou.

Staff very friendly, good food, and feels a bit like in an old British movie. So it was a fun experience. BUT rooms at the second floor were freezing cold in September. Bed matresses too soft. A bit of a smoke smell in the room. Overall fun experience but I won't come back (knowing that I have to come to Cambridge/Chesterford very often for work).

The hotel itself is lovely but is badly let down by the restaurant. It is a quaint hotel set in pleasant grounds and has spacious and tastefully decorated rooms. When we arrived the staff were extremely warm and friendly and were very helpful with checking us in and helping with taxi bookings. The restaurant was an entirely different experience. The heating was on very high during summer and it was far too hot. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine however this had not been chilled and was served to us warm. The starters were very nice. For the main course we ordered a fillet steak cooked medium rare. The steak which arrived did not look like fillet despite being charged as such. It had been cooked medium well done. When the waitress asked if everything was ok with the steak we mentioned that it was overcooked which she relayed this to the kitchen. We then overheard the chef loudly protesting that there is no such thing as a medium rare and if we wanted another we would have to wait 30 minutes. This was odd as there were only 2 people in the restaurant. No apology was given and we were not offered the option of a replacement. We told the waitress that we could overhear this conversation. Despite this, when the food was collected they continued regardless and loudly exclaimed that they were unhappy we had wasted the food. We also heard the chef admit that the steaks were cooked in advance and re-heated to reduce the time between courses.

Absolute s*** hole… you get a parking ticket for making just an enquiry and the place inside is disgusting… staff don't seem to give and help or welcoming… my best advice is AVOID AT ALL COSTS… OHH AND THE BEER TASTE ABSOLUTELY VILE…

A lovely clean homely hotel, with friendly staff. I left some clothes behind and didn't realise for a good week or so. To the hotels credit all my items were saved and handed back to me in full. An enjoyable stay.

Stayed here for 2 nights, what a beautiful place. The staff were really friendly, the food was excellent. The room was lovely and had a very comfortable bed.
Would recommend this place, the surrounding area was very peaceful and pretty.
Glad we stumbled across this place will definitely visit again.

A good place to stay over night Lots of things to do in area. Close enough to Cambridge. Great English food. No Lucero here But you get what you pay for.

Room are clean and tidy. Parking is easy within its own car park.

All ways a favourite place of mine to stay at. Though the room I had this time (15) was falling apart in the bathroom.

We often pick passengers for welcome trust and genome. Always complimented for the comfort.

Old tried rooms and a free portion of flying ants in the shower. This place needs a bit of updating to bring it up to modern standards.

Stayed there recently with a group-on deal. Had a really nioe stay. The staff were brilliant, the surroundings also and the food was top notch. I would recommend the Crown House to anyone who fancies a peaceful little break away.
