Absolutely loved staying here did book again but due to covid had to cancel but will definitely be returning when Boris allows.

During this crisis The Royal Hotel clacton offered help to a fellow NHS colleague for free. Amazing management and doing over and above for the community. Kirstie was helping us as she was on shift, her
customer service off the scale. Thank you to everyone involved in helping and well done for everything you are doing ❤️ x.

Fantastic place very clean room comfortable best place I have stayed in clacton for years having a meal in the Greek restaurant very very very good best meal had for ages excellent service staff very polite including Archie… 10 out if ten.

Had a lovely birthday meal tonight, the staff are lovely and they even decorated the table, the food was amazing! and I must say how nice it is to go to a restaurant in clacton that has baby changing facilities as theres not many places that do!

Have been here since Thursday had an amazing time the place is clean & tidy
The breakfast this morning was lovely x it’s on sea front so if you want quiet then this is not a hotel for you if you want to be close to all amenities with a sea view then you won’t be disappointed xx.

Absolute noise carnage in our lovely room until 2.30 from the nightclub opposite manager commented via lovely staff we should send video to the council

This place is an insult to Cyprus cuisine we had terrible service and when finally got our main course my meal was cold and sent back and my husband's mix grill was not edible I had to ask again for my meal by the time it came to table we had list the will to eat the meal! We will not be returning.

Beautiful rooms and great staff, was greeted by the manager who was very polite and we had a nice conversation before heading in, price was great considering our late booking and the time of night we arrived. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Absolutely wonderful x.

I turned up in a spirit of nostalgia. Ordered a Keo, lunza and halloumi, followed by sheftalia. Food great. Service attentive. Music contemporary Greek. More pictures of Cyprus needed on the walls?

We went to the American Diner for lunch and were met by a friendly waitress. We were served quickly and efficiently. As a family of 6 with 4 young children our palettes can be varied. We were given a menu that had an American Diner option on one side and Cypriot Menu in the other. Our children ate food from the children’s menu, which was well proportioned, and my husband had a chilli dog, I went for the Stilton burger. It was all delicious! We were so happy with the friendly and welcoming service and the fact that they served Keo, that we came back for our evening meal. We shared a Meze for two between the six of us. It was fantastic! Plenty of food for us all to sample, full of flavour and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. If you’re visiting Clacton, I would certainly recommend that you visit either restaurant.

We stayed here for one night and had a room with a balcony looking over the sea and amusements. The room was extremely clean and well decorated with air con. Shower was amazing, we had dinner in the Greek restaurant food and service was excellent and very reasonably priced, there is some noise but it didn't make any difference to our stay we loved it and would highly recommend. We will be going back to stay in the jacuzzi suite.

Avoid at weekends. Unfortunately rooms are above a nightclub. So on a Friday & Saturday night do not expect to be able to sleep until after 2am. Apparently it’s on their website, though yet to find it, so they won’t do anything. Noise and vibrations way above acceptable, and if we could of left and stayed elsewhere we would of (we tried). As for the city view — window looked out at a brick wall? Actual room was clean and tidy — just a shame couldn’t sleep.

We booked a superior room which was nice & recently refurbished BUT the noise is totally understated on the hotels review & doesn't mention Thursday night. The noise is from the disco & was so loud items in the room were rattling in tune with the bass. The hotels answer was ear plugs. One to avoid unless you're going out until after 2 a. M.

Beautifully decorated, very very clean, fully air conditioned and a very comfy bed! The staff are wonderfully polite too, it's not just your money they are after but they genuinely want you to have a nice stay too! Oh and Rocky is a delight too! Would definitely book again in the seaview room!

Stay for one night the room was facing the seafront with small balcony Art deco style but modernised to a good standard. A comfortably rest. Breakfast was extra at the restaurant building adjacent and access from the hotel, the menu has plenty to offer was very good. Price was £80+5.99 for breakfast. Would stay again.

Excellent staff food and venue… Not stayed in the hotel but some of my friends have and highly recommend it

All in all a cracking good place to stay and eat.

The food is out of this world in the main restaurant have never had such good service from a top team I can full recommend the restaurant and staff go above Beyond to make it a eating experience u will not regret. The American diner is out standing the ice cream is to die for I can only say if u have not tryed both y not. The hotel rooms are I would say the best in Essex they are butifull clean and so well looked after and good pice to again the staff could not do enoughto help.
