Fantastic views from our room. Excellent restaurant and breakfast. Facilities good in room friendly staff.

Great veggie breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning! The terrace looks over Salterns Marina, which makes it a pleasant venue for enjoying a bite to eat. Average price for brekkie and a cup of tea. I've never had lunch, or an evening meal here, so can't comment on that!

Nice venue. Service and prices ok but my turbot was overcpoked and dry and served with a strange bitter and burnt tasting accompaniament. Not sure if it had been reheated. Also a steak ordered as rare came medium.

Was nice pub. Sunny day. Waterside. Lovely.

Visited for breakfast which they allow non residents to have between 9am and 12am. I had the vegetarian option and it was 2 for £7.95; an absolute bargain for a great breakfast in a lovely location. If it's nice you can sit outside by the marina.

Very good food and dog friendly as dogs allowed to stay in the hotel but saying that there were no bowls of water or bins for dog waste but great views over Poole Harbour and I would use it again.

Great hotel, good food and excellent service. My only criticsm is I think they should change their policy in respect of dogs. Think it would be much better if dogs were not allowed to stay at the hotel. Whilst dogs are not allowed in the resturant they are in the bar so therefore if you want to eat in the bar guests have to put up with other guests dogs. Not everyone likes dogs.

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast with friends here. The location is amazing, staff are very friendly and the food was delicious.

The service was brilliant. And I had a fillet steak which was so well cooked that it cut like butter! Would fully recommend!

So I got served uncooked chicken and when I told them, there was no apology just a blank stare and then asked if I wanted another one. Then I was served a totally different meal. A salmon dish. So told them I didn't want that and then got my money back as everyone else was done eating and waiting to leave… nobody apologised to me which is what I found most offensive. Raw chicken is unacceptable to be served and had I have eaten it could have been very ill. I am appalled by the service.

Lovely clean place to go, perfect to sit outside on a summers day right by the water, popular venue to hold your wedding due to idyllic views. Nice staff, and nice ambience, lovely place to go if you want a relaxed drink or food. Menu offers a superb range off food all freshly cooked and nicely presented.

Here is the best steak I've ever had in the whole of England. The view is great too. No joke, they must special order their beef because it'll knock your socks off (coming from an American beef eater, that's a serious compliment)

Mates wedding the staff and place was amazing got married on the lawn in gorgeous wether no one could b more helpfull great location the wedding organisations were all taken care off by Carrie top knock.

Always surprised how poor the food is given such a great location. Even a Caesar salad seems beyond their capability.

Comfortable and clean hotel if a bit tired and dated in a lovely location. Good value and would use again if visiting the area.

Only given you a 3. As the staff are very friendly but the hotel is looking a bit tried. Could do with a lick of paint. Bathrooms could do with a make over. As we had black mould on the shower screen. Marks on the floor from something very hot. Could also do with new windows. As we had a draft from the windows and they were closed.

Great views and location even if the rooms themselves are a little dated. Food in the restaurant was also very good.

Visited the restaurant on a quiet Thursday morning to take advantage of the Facebook offer of the month (in this case Buy One Get One Free on cooked breakfast and bottomless coffee). The quality of the food was good, service was fast and the overall experience very good. Will definitely be visiting again — their cakes are so amazing!

Went there for breakfast. Very nice meal with good choice and very good service. You are unable to book a table for breakfast so if you have a larger party you will have to get there early and hope for a free table as it is first come first served. Lovely views of the marina and Poole harbour and you can walk around the marina from there which is very nice. It is also a historic building as it was the terminal for the old flying boat service that used to run from Poole so there is some information about that there. I would recommend.

Restaurant was lovely. Good choice of food at a decent price, with vouchers available online! Only one waitress was working and could have been a little more attentive but food was great.

Went for a birthday dinner with girlfriends. Food was lovely, service was impeccable location was welcoming. A fantastic evening had by all at a very reasonable price (£17 a head including tip for two courses and drinks) thanks to table pouncer.

Lovely place with a nice view over Brownsea Island. The bar and restaurant area has a good selection of food and drinks!

Shabby and somewhat grubby. Not suitable for Coeliacs. No effort to cater gluten-free despite having given a month's notice of my dietary requirements. Simply not good enough.

This place has some amazing views, but I would not recommend this Hotel at all. I booked a double room, and we basically had 2 single beds pushed together with a super king size duvet over them! The shower in our room was broke and wasn't spraying water properly. The food is a little bit to be desired, we tried the vegetarian option, I left it, we ordered scrambled eggs they brought out fried. I am not a negative moaning type of person, but, for £120 per night I expect something of a much higher standard. We have stayed in Hotels for £80 per night that are way better than this place. As previously stated, the views and the area are lovely, but the Hotel, is a massive fail. Avoid at all costs.

We had an amazing day at the Salterns Harbourside hotel for my friends wedding. Staff were very professional and very helpful with the day. Food was lovely and plenty full and evening was nice and warming.

Great Sunday lunch with Family. Excellent service and food in a beautiful setting. Would recommend to anyone.

If you are fond of 1970's chic then this is the place for you as it doesn't seem to have been updated since. I mean not even double glazing! The lunchtime meal we had would have been fine had we been in a transport cafe, nothing bad but by no means haute cuisine, although for the price you would have expected it to be. It smacks of place extracting maximum profit for minimum outlay. Needs a visit from Alex Polizzi. A Premier Inn would be a better bet and cheaper too.

Nice view. Drinks a bit pricey. Good place when weather is good as nice outdoor seating area. Did not stay night so can't comment on hotel side or food.

The view from the bar and outside eating area was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, only need to mention something and they will do there best to accommodate. Only had pancakes, fruit salad and coffee; all of which was very nice though.

I went there for a celebration party with some friends from work, this place was absolutely amazing. The beer garden had a great view which spanned across the coast of Sandbanks, I didn't stay in a room but I sat in their open floor room for drinks and food, their staff are friendly and quick to serve. I didn't stay there long so there's not a lot else I can say unfortunately. The drinks are a bit pricey but they had some brands of alcohol which I hadn't seen in a standard pub (Old Mout Cider) which tasted absolutely amazing! I can't quote on the quality of their hotel rooms but I can definitely recommend this place to others.

Went for lunch at the garden. Perfect place for a sunny day. The garden has a stunning view to the marine. Good for families and dogs are allowed too.

Restaurant / bar in good condition and good breakfast. Rooms need some work — furniture outdated and bed very hard, with poor pillows. Wouldn't rush to stay there again.

I had a steak meal at the hotel. The meal has been booked through a voucher on Living Social. When a merchant offers a deal, they compare it to the value of the same meal offered full price. What we received was one meal split for 2 people. It was pathetic. Not only it was not a steak each, but half a steak each, but also a small portion of chips to share between us! We had also a child with us and his kids burger was at least twice bigger than our adult meal. The experience was disappointing. Absolute con. The deal was 50% off the meal for 2 people and they just took one meal and split in 2. Very clever. Definitely not coming back and not recommending to friends.

All staff were good and had smiles. The hotel is in need of a full refit and looking sad. The full English breakfast was awful and bland, tinned mushrooms never work.

The staff were friendly and the view was great but service for food was dreadful took over an hour for a burger.

Friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful location. Restaurant and bar area very nice with great views. Rooms are tired and need modernizing. Bathroom clean, but facilities are old and need replacing. All in all, good for a weekend and good value for money.
