What a lovely experience for baileys first time at the pub 😊 lovely staff very welcoming 😊

Went in for my birthday. The staff were amazing so welcoming and friendly. Ordered an 8oz steak good size potion and cooked just how I liked it. Definitely be back again.

Had a wonderful stay in the George. Great breakfast, great beer and great service.

Booked a table for lunch yesterday. Found out when we arrived that they weren’t doing lunch😡. They had our phone number so could have informed us. Place has gone downhill since new people took over.

Lovely friendly staff great central location 20 minutes away from the coast lovely restaurant food and breakfast beautiful building.

We had lunch in there, it was lovely and the young lady with the glasses on that served us was very helpful and polite, the place has been done very tastefully, it was so sad to see it empty for those years, we will come again most definitely when we come on holiday to this area again, lovely experience thank you x.

Had My Birthday/Christmas Day lunch here. It was brilliant food, the staff were great and Michael, front of house, was so friendly, with a warm Yorkshire Accent and personality and made the effort to talk to all the diners! Would definitely do it again!

What a lovely lunch we had today. My daughter has a very restrictive diet and the chef was amazing and very upstanding and nothing was to much trouble. Service was fab and food lovely.

Had a lovely evening meal this eve with my partner Gaz. Fantastic service from Michael and Hannah. Fantastic fish&chips absolutely delicious. We wanted to support the hotel as we enter tier 3 of lockdown. Thank you. We wish you all a happy new year. And will visit again once the lockdown is over.

We went for Sunday roast last week four of us, the staff were very welcoming, and friendly, the bar area is very nice as is the dining area it’s more classy than some others, I almost wish I lived further away as the rooms look very nice and I could stay over, the toilets were very clean, and everything in place for Covid so you do not have to worry about that, now the roast was amazing, lovely quality pork, black pudding stuffing, I was unsure but very nice, roast potatoes, a big tasty yorkshire, and veg broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower cheese, and the gravy was the best I have ever had out, not runny but with substance and tasty, I can’t review the desserts as we were too full, it’s worth every penny, it’s not expensive much nicer than queuing at a carvery, and then it’s not so hot when you finally sit down, I do like a very hot plate and hot food, so the last mouthful is still hot, and they let us have extra gravy, whereas somewhere else we were charged £1.50 extra, I highly recommend The George, but you won’t know until you try it, until then you are missing out.

The room was very nice and the food the staff were friendly I really enjoy.

We have just left from a 2 night stay. Room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. The food we had was very good and perfect size portions! Things are different at the moment with the Covid restrictions but the staff are coping very well. We would definitely return.

Staff at the George hotel are very polite and friendly. Will be going there again.

booked a king room but found to be quite small.
Avoid room 102 very noisy with other guests and the passing traffic.
breakfast acceptable but limited as nothing out to help yourself.
room not serviced as requested due to covid 19.
booking clearly states room change
so any replenishments were to be asked for.
ie coffee toilet roll etc
service slow…
staff issues possibly.
needs tlc and customer service training.

Great family friendly pub, good food, pleasant staff.

The really nice staff, sorry I can only remember Mandy's name but the dude who helped me getting a drink to my table (I'm wheelchair bound) and helped me out of the place, thankyou one and all. Means a lot to a disabled person.
