Hen do! Beautiful Hotel! Amazing Staff! We booked for a night stay including and Afternoon Tea & Cocktail Masterclass and everything was brilliant…. Great cocktails at the bar…amazing cakes. Yummy sandwiches…dodgy cocktails made my us but was so much fun! Staff were attentive, we were looked after from the time we arrived, we couldn’t fault the service we were given by Marika & all the team especially Kieron our mixologist…young man you were brave and held your own with us hens! You are all amazing, thank you so much for your part in making my best friends final fling before she’s says “I Do” so special, she loved it and along with her and others we will definitely be returning for future stays at your hotel.

Lovely relaxed afternoon tea. In beautiful surroundings. Best selection of sandwiches and prawn bridge roll. Fruit skewer, lemon posset with shortbread, scones jam and cream and 4 mini cakes. Tea and prosecco of course.

Staff are amazing! Rooms are lovely, pool and jacuzzi were so relaxing and the garden is lovely to enjoy a glass of wine or a cuppa tea.

Lovely mothers day lunch, what a lovely welcoming friendly and helpful bunch of staff. Nothing was a problem! thank you x.

Horrible management! Bad customer service! Disgusting attitude form management! Added fees! Awful stay at this hotel was made to feel like I was unwelcome and judged on appearance! Fowl place would never stay again and wouldn’t recommend visiting.

Absolutely horrible owner who simply does not care about his customers… I’m pregnant and he’s caused me nothing but stress upon leaving the hotel… DO NOT recommend.

My daughter and her partner came and stayed at this hotel and booked it on an offer on Vodafone rewards and paid the deposit to secure the booking then upon arrival they went to pay the outstanding balance and were told it was all covered on the offer so had nothing to pay to which they asked if they were sure to be told again yes, had thier stay went to check out today and because my daughters partner had some extras at mealtime they had a balance to pay which they did then as they were leaving someone came and apologised and said they needed to pay extra money which they didn’t have as they went on a shopping spree for thier new baby as they thought they had some extra cash, then the owner of this hotel spoke to them both like utter crap calling them dirty and speaking about my daughters appearance, going through thier shopping bags and even asked my daughters partner to take his shoes off as he could see they were new! 😡 he proceeded to take pictures of them while still verbally abusing them and my daughter paid the last £80 they had on them with a direct debit set up for Friday for when they get paid. I am absolutely disgusted at the way they have been spoken too and treated, let me tell you had I of been there things would have been a lot different, thinking you can speak to a younger generation as you did causing my pregnant daughter so much upset and worry.

We went to Hotel Collingwood today to celebrate our friends baby shower. I want to Thank you for the perfect day. Your hotel is beautiful, the service was second to none, absolutely incredible. Best afternoon I’ve ever had & ive had a lot. You get so much for your money. The food was so fresh & tasted amazing, beautifully presented. Communication was incredible too. We loved it so much today we are going to book a girls weekend away & we are most definitely booking Hotel Collingwood as our hotel.

The staff were lovely. The food was great… However. The Signature Twin room that my parents had paid for was a disgrace and certainly not a superior room! It was incredibly dark, small and very badly decorated. The one window opened out onto a flat roof where there was evidence of overnight activity (a blanket near the air duct) and was not secure. The bathroom door would only shut with a good shove but then couldn't be opened from inside unless you had super strength…
We've stayed at this beautiful hotel for many years but this time with its new owners it was very disappointing.

My sister had booked an afternoon tea for her birthday today at 12.30. Upon arrival was just told that they were too busy and they didn’t have her booking down, even though she had confirmation on her phone.
Told her they could fit her in at 2pm, 90 mins after the original booking and obviously being her birthday she had plans for the day.
No apology, rude staff, would avoid at all costs.
Ruined her birthday.

Lovely friendly hotel within walking distance of the beach.

Nice clean entrance. Friendly staff, customer service was standard. Could not sleep at as, To me the Beds were not up to standard. Tap water was too hot, could do with a mixer tap in future. The jacuzzi tub was out Of service which was a let down. Swimming pool was nice. Parking was available on request and free which was good.

Lovely quiet single room with a large bed! Very clean. Excellent shower. Breakfast was served, not help yourself! Restaurant menu changed every day and was excellent for the price. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking was undercover which was brilliant in the heat of August. Fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Looked impressive, ground floor very nice. Requested a disabled room but when we got there, it was an ordinary small room with over bath shower! Staff were nice and friendly and good parking. Our room was abit tired! Won't be going again.

Was almost home from home, clean and comfortable, excellent service and friendly helpful staff. Very good restaurant. However new owners are introducing changes that may not suit all of regular clients such as not having entertainment some evenings and changes to layout.

I went a few years ago with my grandparents, it was so fun, cool and awesome! I'm going in 3 weeks back there for 2 days, I bet I'll love it.

Had a great stay at Collingwood. Walking distance to the beach and loads of options nearby to give your taste buds a treat. The in-house savouries and breakfasts were amazing! There are couple of rooms (I presume) which offers a sneak-peak view of the beach. The hotel is pet friendly. Recommend Collingwood! Wish you a wonderful stay!

Hotel is a walkable distance from BIC, The Pier, Beach, The Square and Central Gardens. Although if you want to take a stroll be ready to hike up and down to enjoy the beach or the city centre. The room is well maintained according the quaint vintage feel. The lounge and the snug bar is kept up with cozy decor. In the site the option of Beach front is mentioned but disappointed to not even get a glimpse of the sea. Breakfast and Dinner can be opted for the stay and in terms of Breakfast, the food was well put together and served with a smile. The hotel is mostly attracting the older generations and the blue collared. Would give a 4/5 based on location, amenities and service.

Poor. Staff ignored us at check in. Room was boiling hot and lots of noise from the road. Room was too compact. Hotel seemed more popular with older guests. We left a day early staff didn't even ask why or even ask if our stay was ok. Very poor customer service.

Stayed 3 nights for Rotary conference at BIC. Group of 30. We had a blast. Breakfast choices good. Evening menu good. Location spot on. My single room was however small with a poor shower. Great to have ample free parking.

Great location, very close (5 minutes walk) from BIC, Beach, Aquarium Centre. Free parking on site with Indoors swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna & Steam Room & Mini Gym inc as part of stay. Lovely friendly staff services. Check in times 1pm, check out time 10:30am. Parking on check out day is until 11am however can extend for extra £5 fee.

As always a great visit stay at the Collingwood looking forward to April for our weekend dancing break with 22 dancing couples where we are always looked after so well.

The hotel rooms were OK and breakfast was very nice. Checked out the pool, although it was a little smaller than anticipated and would feel busy with probably five people in it. Three stars why you ask then you tight git? Well unfortunately another family was given our room key about 10 minutes after we'd gotten settled in. Thankfully my other half had managed to finish getting changed a few moments prior to the poor chap walking in leading his family into what he thought was his room. There is really no reason that I shouldn't give it one star given the chance than a random stranger could have gotten more than they bargained for at our expense.

Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel this weekend. When we arrived all staff were very welcoming. The room was very clean and the pool and it's facilities were to. I Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and myself went to the Collingwood hotel for our third visit to this hotel in December. Being our third visit do I need to say more. Lovely smallish hotel with very very helpful staff, good food, clean and cosy rooms what more can you want in December. Well I will say we have booked again for next December! Bournemouth is a nice town with nice atmosphere and unless I wanted to pay much more for my accommodation I could not be happier than at the Collingwood. The staff will and have put themselves out to make ourselves and some friends who also return with us, as comfortable as possible. Front road can be a bit noisy but the staff will happily try to put you in a back room if they can. I like to have windows open so for those that don’t it should not be a problem. Food is good. Always served on hot plates, so dinner keep hot. I feel sure all being well we shall book again after our trip later this year.

Great value. Decent room, good facilities — pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym, games room. Good breakfast. Free parking (big plus in Bournemouth as many hotels charge for parking). Good location just minutes from breaches, pier, & shops. No complaints.

Even though my TripAdvisor showed Rooms available, receptionist stuck to a single line reply "we have no rooms available, today or tomorrow"… wondered how he would have reacted had I completed my purchase and than went in again, how would he accept me? … Anyway, it turned out a blessing as a wild decision to go to a £15 pp hotel literally next door turned out a WOW as we were only looking for a decent sleep… and saved us £130.00 for the weekend in the process…

Brilliant smallish hotel. In good position. Food descent, staff very helpfull. In fact our third visit and booked for this time again next year. The xmas decorations this year so pretty. Value for money very good.

A brilliant stay once more. Staff attentive to your requirements. Been to collingwood many times over the years and never had a poor meal. New owner Eyam and michelle are continuing the high standards.

I'm surprised with the reviews. I had the worst experience. We travel a lot and have experienced really fab hospitality. They shoved us in room 105 which was not fit for purpose. Floor boards were creaking at the entrance to the bathroom which had to be used every time we used the loo to wash our hands which was across the passage. The night entertainment was literally on the other side of the wall and had to shut the window at 8pm to ruduce the noice coming through. 24 degrees and a tabletop fan. A ten year old trying to sleep in very uncomfortable bed. When I informed the lady in reception on checkout she goes "Oh you would have slept very early?!, next time we'll give family room upstairs ". Hello? I will not be coming next time to a place that don't get that people in this country with a 10 year old, like their kid in bed by 9pm, perhaps wherever she come from that may be the case. Extremely disappointing and made my bank holiday before teaching an unpleasant one.

The rooms were very hot when we got there and never showed any signs of cooling down, however the room was particularly nice. Was extremely close to the pier and that was a major plus, really friendly staff and the breakfast is amazing.

This hotel was in a great location and it had a games room and swimming pool. They allow dogs which is ideal for me. The breakfast was ok I went for the vegetarian option. For the money this was a good hotel.

We had a short stay at the hotel. Overall the hotel was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a Dyson fan in the room which helped in trying to keep the room temperature down. (It was a very hot day). A short walk to the beach… No sea view though.

Hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. Location good. Staff were friendly. Only down side was the room was very warm.

The colligwood hotel is so friendly all the staff always had a smile on their faces it was spotless, I am on a special diet and nothing was to much for them,, my husband and I have been at hotel three times since the turn off the year, and are looking forward to going back in june, a big thank you to all the management and staff.
