Best place ever, friendly staff and atmosphere.

The hotel dealt efficiently with a large single group event. Meals were on time and plentiful and the bar staff kept queues to a minimum. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We came down to Bournemouth for the first time couple off weeks ago for two nights with a gift voucher. We had such a great time the hotel is in a great location the staff were great so was the room, We will definitely be coming back.

We stayed here the other weekend on a sunday and monday night with a gift voucher. I can honeslty say we had such a lovely break and found the hotel to be in a brilliant location. The staff were friendly and our bedroom was immaculate and new refurbed. We will definitely be returning again.

My daughter and I had a spa day and we both loved it. Treatments were amazing. We had afternoon tea which was also really nice. Very helpful and lovely staff. Kate in particular was so nice. Yes, the sauna, steam room and pool are small, but it wasn't an issue at all as not busy the day we went. We really enjoyed the day.

We booked 30 people for a 2 night trip, phoned asking about car parking told yes there is a car park, when we got there it is a very small car park and no spaces plus they charge £10 per night to park there. Staff were happy for us to cancel if we wanted saying it is on their web site.

Just had a wonderful stay for 2 nights with a group of friends. Great staff and breakfast experience. The pool ' saunas and spa treatments were superb. Will definetly be coming back. Thank you Durley Dean ' you are fab.

Works Xmas do. Drinks and bread rolls removed from tables before we had finished. Staff didn't ask before removing. If you didn't like sprouts you were stuffed for veg. Roast potatoes were very limited worked out at 2 quarters of a potato each. Venue and disco great. Food a real dissapointment.

Had a lovely time staying here, the staff are so friendly and one of the owners even gave us a lift into town to visit one of the local restaurants. A great place to stay in a perfect location, a very nice gym and pool area and awesome spa.

Lovely hotel with extremely friendly staff who are ever so helpful and interact with you about your day and stay. Great facilities. We stayed for just 2 nights in September but plan on coming back again next year for longer. Ideal location, short walk or cheap taxi ride to the town/pier/beach/oceanarium. Highly recommended ❤️

We’ve just come back from spending 2 nights and have to say it was wonderful Lee the manager went above and beyond perfection both barmen were very accommodating, the rooms were spotless and the staff were very friendly, all the guests interacted with each other so all in all perfection… well done Durley Dean, hope to come back soon.

Stayed at the Durley dean about a dozen times now and never disappoints, great rooms and surroundings, staff very friendly and food is delicious!

I honestly have no words to explain how thankful I am to Kate who made myself and garrys wedding day absolutely perfect! I cant fault anything she did it was amazing from start to finish! every staff member helped in any way they could and constantly asked if their was anything we need doing or wanted. The room change over was done so quickly and it still looked perfect! The wedding breakfast was lovely weve had nothing but positive feedback from each and every guest! the day was everything I dreamed of and more! Thank you all so much especially Kate who spent hours on end with myself and Garry making final plans and decisions! xxx.

Had a weekend away with my partner, absolutely brilliant. Fantastic service, beautiful spa and the food was 5* We will be returning this year for a mini break.

We spent a night there on Saturday and the room we had did not worth what we paid. The double room was so small so that you can’t even walk around with two people in the room. The bed is smaller than normal double bed, more like a large single bed. The room was about half of the size of what our friends get and we all paid £170 for a night. £170 for a super small room in a three star hotel?! The hotel was fully booked so we can’t get the room changed, instead we were only offered a breakfast voucher. There is no air conditioner in the room, only a small fan. We would not go back again.

In a nut shell — Expensive, poor service and hotel not suitable for a toddler/small child. Upon arrival my partner had to take all of the bags, a toddler and push chair to the room without any assistance offered. The lift is too small for a buggy and bags and there's so many sets of steps in the hotel, it was a real pain. The rooms were boiling even though it was only 20 degrees outside. The Windows come down to knee height and so you can't open them if you have a toddler or small child. None of this was considered by the hotel staff even though I'd booked the room giving them notice that we had child with us. A fan was provided but it was ridiculously noisy and we had to leave it on all night. Breakfast was ok. Room was a superior room but I have no idea what made it "superior". First time I've been to a hotel without a lock on the bathroom door. Shower curtains — in a superior room, really! The breakfast staff were friendly, but the rest of the hotel staff made no effort at all to welcome you to the hotel. I've spent a lot less in the past and had a much better night way.

Have stayed many times. Room was lovely, but was close to kitchens. Staff were all helpful. Breakfasts were great with everything you could possibly want. Close enough to have a lovely walk to the beach, pier or town centre. Will go again.

Lovely hotel Our room was a good size very clean bed was a bit too soft for me. It had large flat screen tv, tea making facilities, a fan very important in this hot weather, iron, hairdryer a lovely large bathroom with a walk in shower. A lovely large restaurant which we had breakfast in, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent. It also has a spa but I only used the pool which was great for a swim. The hotel receptionists were friendly and helpful Overall a good hotel in a good location, short walk from the cliff over looking the beach short stroll to the gardens and town.

Very friendly staff, excellent food, very impressed and clean leisure facilities — pool and spa. Unfortunately it was 32c the day we arrived and the rooms don't have air-conditioning so we had a poor night's sleep, we also had to keep the windows open all night and there was a lot of street noise. The hotel is also quite dated in both the restaurant and the room. Overall experience was good because your staff are very helpful, but disappointing about the lack of AC.

Staff friendly and treatments were good value for money.
The spa was spotless but far too small changing rooms were tiny and not very private for dressing and undressing! could only really fit 2 people in there at any one time! anymore and it would be overcrowded! however in my opinion it’s not really a spa no Jacuzzi nowhere to sit and relax and no refreshments I took a magazine in the hope I could sit on a sunbed and read it no hope of that! Very tiny sauna and not particularly comfortable. We opted for afternoon tea which was a bit poor sandwiches had clearly been out for a while as bread was stale it was a real shame my friend and I regularly do spa days unfortunately we won’t be returning.

We came today for a spa day for our 40th and 50th birthdays, I have to say if was not the best spa day we have had and I think by advertising as a spa day is pushing it a bit, the swimming pool is tiny with a tiny sauna and steam room, there is no loungers to sit on, no beverages unless you wanted some water where you have to walk into the gym to get some but then no where to sit to drink it except a small wooden bench, we ended up buying a hot drink in the bar and sitting u…p there for a little while as really an hour is all you need in the actual swimming pool and to be honest that’s stringing it out.
The treatments are ok, I had my nails done, but there is no handle on the spa door to leave so ended up chipping my nails within the first hour the lady did repaint it
We upgraded to afternoon tea which was poor, ours certainly did not look as it was advertised and it was stale especially the sponge cake
The plus side was although tiny like all the spa facilities it was very clean, no plugs though to plug in straighteners etc after swimming We met two other ladies whilst there and they too were not impressed like us, really not worth booking a spa day here unfortunately we wont be returning.

Our room Very 'compact and bijou'. Breakfast and staff service excellent. One downside, we paid £20 for 2 nights parking and 2nd night No space. Blue Badge holder. Had then to find Street parking @ 10.30 400/500 metres away in the dark. And No offer of £10 refund. But nice staff and an enjoyable stay. Thankyou.

Hello I stayed here for three nights Sunday night I had an amazing meal in the restsurant
very good waiter from Hungary who recalled I was gluten free from breakfast. I had marinated salmon with beetroot and seabass with fennel
was the best dish I had tasted in a long time also I had tropical fruit salad and gluten free ice team had been here before love the leisure facilities. Thankyou for a great stay.

Great hotel nice room n lovely helpful staff. Breakfast was really nice and had variety of cereals n cooked food. Staff were very accommodating. They even added an extra bed when the room was a double bed. Great experience will definitely visit. Would recommend to friends.

Not a bad hotel little dated but then for the price you get what you pay. Would recommend for a cheap and comfortable stay. Just don’t expect the ritz.

Location is good but it's a very tired looking hotel. Rooms are dated. Don't go for the upgrade to superior room. Nothing superior about it! Swimming pool good. Sauna fits 3 people. Steam room fits 4

The hotel is great. Staff are friendly and really helpful. Dinner is fabulous, Breakfast has a good range and good quality. Gym and pool are good has steam room and sauna too. Highly recommended and it's my second stay here.

Lovely friendly hotel. We’ve had a couple of our Christmas Parties here now and the food & entertainment has always been exceptional and amazing value! Booking has always been easy and fuss free. Would recommend to anyone!

We booked afternoon tea for special occasion for large group of people. Found out by pure chance that they had an incident and would be closed on the date of our booking. They did not tell us that they needed to cancel our booking and it was only by chance that we found out about it 2 days before. My friend went to the hotel and spoke to a receptionist to find out what was happening & the lady was very rude to her. Shocking customer service. Won't be booking anything at Durley Dean ever again. Incident wasn't their fault but lack of information/customer service afterwards was appalling. Incident happened a whole week prior to our booking but 2 days before they still hadn't told us & we only found out by pure chance. Now we have difficult task of finding somewhere to accommodate large group of people for special occasion at short notice!

Terrible service from this hotel. They had a small electrical fire last weekend and still have not officially contacted me to let me know and we had booked for 16 people to come for afternoon tea. We can to go into the hotel and ask if what we had heard was correct. The receptionist was less than helpful with her response was as though she wasn't even slightly concerned that nobody had been in contact with us to let us know!

Good food. Good rooms. Nice staff. But expensive parking. Hence only 4 star rating. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for a few days and it was so lovely, the rooms were great, nice big shower. The pool, steam room and sauna just hit my spot. (Access to these were included in the price) Staff were very helpful and breakfast was nice. I would recommend to anyone, I would go back if I got the opportunity. There was no younger children which was an added bonus.

We attended a Christmas Dinner dance. We were warmly welcomed and directed to the other members of our party, having been given a complimentary drink on arrival. The staff were well organized and helpful. The food was served promptly despite the numbers, by polite and friendly waitresses. The only fault was with the music, the DJ didn't seem interested and a poor choice of music.

Rooms very comfortable especially the beds. Bathroom absolutely tiny but in good condition. Public areas bit tired but location of hotel to town centre very convenient. Would recommend.

We had a lovely large family room which was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool is small but nice to have. Just a couple of minutes walk from the seafront — so all in all very good. Thanks.

A cosy and clean hotel room. Food was fine. Friendly staff.

Stayed for 4 nights. Staff very helpful, breakfast good. Room nicely decorated and clean. Downside had a room under the reception area, woken up all night due to reception porters walking around, and banging doors. Also room was cold with no heating coming on Charge £10 for 24 hour parking. Stayed there a few times in the past and have been satisfied.

Excellent room, pleasant and very helpful staff, good breakfast, good evening meals. Rooms overlooking the car park very quiet. Maid service every da, towels changed daily.

Pool is very small, no jacuzzi, asked for cheddar and chutney sandwiches for afternoon tea and got plain cheddar not even any butter. The girls in the beauty therapy bit were lovely!

Spa was amazing and afternoon tea was really nice however one or two of the reception staff were very rude and not very inviting. Also in leisure area corridor sharp spikes coming through carpet. Apart from this was very very good.

VOUCHER FOR SPA MASSAGE AND TEA My husband and I were given this as a gift. The reception staff were lovely and produced large fluffy bathrobes and towels for us to use in the SPA. I was not so impressed in this area all clean, however being underground there is no natural light and it was quite a small area. There is a steam and sauna room as well. Sadly no space for loungers or chairs around the pool (I had taken magazines to 'laze'). The BEST part was the really amazing MASSAGES we received from ALINA… we have travelled the world and had massages in many places… Alina's technique and manner are right up there with the best… we were both very pleased and thoroughly relaxed and looked forward to our cream tea and prosecco. The tea was good fresh and certainly enough to fill us. The staff were polite and efficient. The car parking costs £10 which is rather stiff (and there were masses of spaces available) and we fortunately found a space right outside the hotel for free. So the SPA is a nice addition for hotel guests but I wouldn't go just for that… however DO GO for the Spa treatments and the situations of the hotel virtually on the sea front makes it a great place for visitors to stay.

Nice location Bed a bit small in one of the rooms we had. The family room was good and decor inside room was nice. Compared to our other room. Swimming pool small and floor was very slippery. Saw 2 people fall down around poolside. Would stay again depending on room price.

Went for a spa day the eve of my wedding. … served gone off cream for pudding. Swimming pool tiny… kids dive bombing (not allowed according to signs) no Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room small… less than impressed until I went for my spa treatment… an Elemis salt body scrub. The spa staff were amazing especially Alina from latvia… I highly recommend her she saved the day x.

We visited this hotel for one night and because we were part of a coach party wasn't expecting too much. What a super surprise we had. We couldn't fault it. Fabulous room, friendly staff and terrific meals. Breakfast was amazing with a huge choice. Would certainly like to visit again.

The overall experience was really good, I went there for a prom and the venue/hall we used was great. However the only downside is that the drinks are a bit expensive. But the whole experience was still amazing.

Had our 6th form prom here, the event was brilliant, with the area downstairs fully set out and tidied properly prior to starting. The bar was great, with all of the staff working being friendly and fast. Overall a great event at a great venue!

Beautiful hotel with great facilities. I attended my year 13 prom here and it was perfect. Had toilets easily acessable plus bar. Deffinatly recomend. Also not to far from bournemouth beach.

Perfect stay for me and my boyfriend first time staying in a hotel and they delivered excellent service and all employees were happy to be doing their job. Breakfast was lush too! Room very large and had everything we needed for a night away just a few minutes walk from the beach :)

Good hotel close to town. Good value for money with a swimming pool and sauna. Only negatives were that the swimming pool was a bit hot and car park a bit small. Parking is easy close by in a car park though. Overall a good hotel though and I'd stay here again for sure.

Arrived on Friday no where to park, we're told by staff we'd have to park on the road outside, finally found somewhere half a mile from hotel. Staff on reception said r we supposed to knock a building down to make another car park?! The same rude member of staff rolled his eyes when we asked for room service, clearly doesn't have a 3 year old and teenager to get ready in the morning!. The room was quite spacious but the 2 children's beds were ripped and falling apart, lots of plug sockets unfortunately more than half don't work, the shower is just a mixer tap, hairdryer was broke. The room is like a sauna even with the windows open, and only a tiny fan to cool. Breakfast came with only 3 out of four ordered, no butter for the toast, soup spoon for the cereal and lukewarm tea and coffee. Overall for the price we paid for 2 nights I would have rather spent a little more and stayed at the hilton.

The Dudley Dean is a friendly welcoming hotel with large spacious rooms, the staff are always on had to help. Request a taxi from reception and one arrives in mins. We even requested the hotel bar to opened at 1230 at night and the staff were only to helpful to please. Breakfast in the morning was also delightful. I recommend this hotel for anyone with and families and couples.

My wife and I spent one night in the Durley Dean The staff were very welcoming, friendly and hrlpful The room was recently decorated, bed comfortable and overall very clean. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of choice. Would I visit again? Definitely.

Upgraded to a better room which was just about the standard I would expect. They phoned us less than 24 hours before arrival to say they had a large party in. Too late to cancel travel plans. Large party drinking smoking and walking around in drag making an awful lot of noise on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Couldn't use restaurants or bars and had to walk our breakfast to a small side room avoiding the cables of the cleaners hoovers with our hot coffees and food. Breakfast was OK better in second day. Pool was nice but no spa beds and no where to relax felt sorry for spa days who had to hang out in spa reception in robes. Wouldn't recommend for a nice weekend away but might be ok for one business night.

The Wi-Fi is not really free for all. The clean service sucks. One morning I saw the maid putting clean towels for my face on the floor before put them inside the toilets inside room. The food sucks. A lot of times a was shocked from tomato on the downside of clean plates and opaque mug that becomes clear after washing with the tea hot water. I was there for 26 days so I know it very good. One maid stole me a watch that I live in room during a tour in city and the service when I said does nothing. PS: oh. About the pool: is almost impossible to stay there. The humidity percentace is about 199%. Is the first place where the human recreated clouds. Is feel sick just to think to swim there.

We stayed desiring Early December during off peak season so the hotel want overtly busy. Staff were very attentive and friendly at ask times. Rooms were of adequate size but not large by any means. The rooms featured an ironing table, hair dryer etc which usually have to be requested at other hotels so this was a bonus. The decor was OK, cleanliness was above average and towels were changed daily. In the basement there was a nice swimming pool, sauna and steam room plus a gym for guests. Breakfast was served from 0730-1000 and was buffet style, all of which were perfectly adequate and offered a range of hot and child breakfasts and unlimited hot drinks and juices. Be Location is walking distance to Bournemouth town centre. The bus 50 (hourly) andv24 (30 minutes) stop right outside. However just, 6 minutes walk led to Commercial Street in the town centre where majority of the bus routes past and we tended to opp put for these instead as buses ran every 5-10 minutes here. Happy to recommend a stay here.

Bit of a dive, but they took us as a stag do. I wouldnt take your family or wife etc, but if youre away for mates its nice. Swimming pool was very cloudy…

We had a 5 star treatment at the Durley Dean Hotel and Spa. We had a full body massage at the Beauty Spa with two very professional therapists. A swim, sauna and steam room experience and a fantastic lunch to top it off. Thank you we'll hopefully be back cheers xx.

Even managed to book into the spa again met with friendly accommodating staff. Greeted on arrival with drinks by a lovely member of staff Laura a hit after a long journey.

Stayed back in Feb. Pool sauna absolutely brill. First break away with boyfriend. Weather was ONLY let down.

Long weekend there great staff best ever very helpful. Breakfast was very good lots to choose from. Rooms clean could do with bit of paint here and there. But over all great will be going back.

AVOID Having a romantic meal with wife in the hotel restaurant. Ordered sirloin steak with hand cut chips. Was served a bit of meat that the hotel claimed was sirloin. Looked and tasted like the sole off an old army boot and chips were frozen chips. I complained but was told by the restaurant manager "both her chefs had tasted it and it was OK, so therefore I did not have a valid complaint".! I asked to speak to the hotel manager but Anita Szafz told me she was "the" hotel manager. Her attitude was despicable, an overzealous jumped up woman. We were not treated as guests or a valued customers. I cancelled the rest of my stay and would not stay there again. Great room, tidy, clean and good size. There is a small pool, sauna, steam room and gym. We didn't use the bar or restaurant but the breakfast looked good. Good distance from the town centre and within walking distance from the beach too. The only downside was the parking as the hotels car park only has a few spaces and the on road parking was full by the time we arrived. We had to part at a free car park further down the road meaning a walk back to the hotel. Not a major issue for us.

Stayed there for 3 night this month (aug) me my partner and our one yr old. Lovely big modern rooms, beautiful tjick curtains and amaizing modern chairs. Bathroom with bath and shower, dressing table, coffee table two new sofa chairs and a sofa bed which you wouldn't know was a sofa bed as it looked that good! Huge comfy beds nd staff are more than happy to help with anything. Only down side was when dinning in hotel the wait was very very long and they weren't busy. Were going back next year. New Swimming pool very warm, new gym, sauna and steam room. Recommend trivago, late rooms or groupon to book with as I get good deals. We stayed in a super family room. Very close to everything. And if going as family with young kids, then u have to go to farmer palmers! Such a great whole day out.

Got a deal on Groupon. The room was small but recently revamped. Facilities were good and the steam room was top notch. Ideal for a quick getaway.

Feel free to stay at this hotel if you enjoy being argued with, the old saying the customer is always right is sadly not of any value at this hotel. The request of an iron and ironing board was made before an evening out, the response was more or less a maybe with no clear decision — — — 2 hours later after going out for dinner with a creased shirt it arrived at the hotel door and was left outside. note also this hotel has a car park of 30 spaces but will be persistent in issuing 117 car park passes you can imagine the confusion this causes when everyone wants a space, the staff also thinks its ok to let people who are just attending a party park in the car park without a pass at all, rather than a paying customer at £65 per night. I had the privilege of paying a further £8 for the use of a public car park for the night. on this note thank you very much to the staff member who argued with me and my girlfriend on our anniversary "get away " really improved our mood for a lovely evening together. yours sincerely Daniel Lloyd.
