This is a torquay hotel famed for its weddings with great staff and leisure complex and spa you have a lot to enjoy also with the other three hotels you can move between them all enjoy Albert's or just simply enjoy the aztec area.

Everything under one roof, & free swimming in three pools, sun beds, sauna, Jacuzzi & steam room, plus tennis, table tennis, bowling, archery, bowls, etc (small fee for some) & a spa & hair salon, lots of bars, terraces, sun decks, rooms, etc. Free Wi-Fi. Our kids LOVE it here.

Food was good. Location perfect and a quiet nights sleep.

Good value for money. A bit of a rabbit Warren though — large place, easy to get lost!

A bit dated but room was clean and everything worked ok. It was too hot in the room. The resort complex is large with many bars and places to relax. Ideally situated cant fault the services offered. Food pretty good self-service breakfast was a good standard. Bistro bar part of the whole complex also had good menu nicely cooked.

Recently stayed at the Toorak Hotel in Torquay. The accommodation was fine but the food was exceptional; a varied and tasty menu and beautifully presented. It really made our holiday seem special. (Mrs. S. Davies, St. Asaph, North Wales).

Good value break. Very good facilities, gym, etc. Good meals.

Great location and lovely staff. Some of the rooms are tired and need a refresh Always stay here when in Torquay.

Could be updated in some areas. The staff helpful and friendly. Menus very good.

The staff were very pleasant, the hotel was very dated they have started to update/modernise the rooms but not all of them yet.

Can’t fault the food, lots of choice, friendliness of staff and cleanliness, however as a person with walking difficulties I found that the main hub of the facilities were too far for me to walk so I couldn’t enjoy the swimming etc. I have stayed in the Victoria and the Derwent before, which suited me but I thought this would be a nice change.

Food is first rate, really enjoyed. I have lactose and gluten problems, they did a menu for me every day, excellent. Good position, and plenty going on between the hotels. Very pleased and would visit again.

Stayed at the toorak last weekend had an absolutely wonderful time may I say that the food and the restaurant and all the people working there were absolutely brilliant we'll be coming back very soon thank you.

The Toorak hotel is a nice place to stay. The staff are friendly, kind and will do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The pool and leisure centre is one of the better ones I’ve seen available at hotels and the Wi-Fi is surprisingly good (around 40mb ish, secure network). If you stay here you must try the scones (cream tea) at lunch at the Conway bar, which in my opinion, was the most notable thing on my stay… cream first. Then jam.

Great place for every age group from youngsters play and pool areas with designated creche facilities to recognised bowling events and even sole disco dance nights in a funky large ballroom for us trying to relive our youth!

The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Food excellent. Like the smaller rooms for relaxing. Good entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

We come here for the New Year. Good food and entertainment. Staff friendly and helpful. (Our room and bathroom are looking a bit tired. ) There are four hotels on the complex all with bars and lounges and a sports bar. We don't use all the facilities eg pool, gym, spa, bowls, games etc. It is within walking distance of the harbour and shops but the bus stops are handy if you don't want to walk! The beach isn't too far.

I had the most awful Christmas break ever. The hotel was dirty and sparse, staff where indifferent and the entire place was lacking in festivities. Eating was on long tables of 8 totally lacking in social hospitality — with both staff and customers struggling to get around to place sittings. No Christmas decor or festive atmosphere at all in the restaurant and waited over an hour to have our starter cleared away. It truly felt like gods waiting room and was totally unsuitable for disabled or older people as most activity and leisure facilities where a long trek from the Toorak. Total waste of money.

Went to an Xmas party night. Really good food. Disco ok, but could have had better music.

Part of a large complex with excellent facilities particularly for families and activities. Rooms very pleasant and food acceptable.

Excellent service throughout our spa break. We've visited before but stayed in a different hotel. The Toorak has a lot of mature clientele. We should have been in The Carlton but it was fully booked. Rooms are clean and spacious but whereas the bathrooms are modern, the room is rather dated. Tea making facilities and biscuits are provided and we had robes, flip-flops and gym passes as part of our break. Meals were included and a wide range was on offer. There is a lot to do on site and the beach is just a short walk away. We look forward to our next visit.

Room was nice but they had got the timings/dates wrong for our training so no refresgments were set up. Food took a while to ne delivered too.

Cheap and cheerful. It was good for the price but had terrible parking and is I'm dire need of investment.

Excellent service from the minute I walked in, clean spacious rooms and friendly staff. Good sized car park and great food. Only downside is the heat of the room woke me up at 5am but they can't be blamed for that. Close to local amenities.

Staff very welcoming on arrival and helpful throughout my stay. Reasonable close to town. Food served in Abbey Restaurant wholesome and served with a smile.

When I got to the hotel there was no room booked for the course I was teaching (not the hotels or my fault! Due to 3rd party error) The hotel were really accommodating and found me a room for the 2 day event immediately. They were excellent hosts and really friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone wanting to run a course or meeting there.

The tlh toorak is part of a resort encompassing a number of hotels in the same location all owned by the same group. Many of the facilities advertised are shared between the guests of all the hotels so you may get access to the same facilities on a cheaper rate depending on the hotel you select. I can't comment on the rooms in other hotels but the toorak family room is spacious and reasonably well appointed with a hairdryer, kettle and walk in wardrobe. There are two single beds separated by a double that make an awesome trampoline park for the kids. The doors aren't very soundproofed so you can occasionally hear us shouting at them to pack it in. Sorry neighbours! The restaurant and food is very good, the cooked breakfast is well stocked with plenty of choice. The pool is clean and well maintained, buy beware the outdoor pool is not currently heated (April). The lockers could do with some maintenance replacement as many are broken and the numbering is completely random. It's a great location with plenty on site and nearby to entertain the kids. We would probably also suggest it to all our friends that love bowling as that's a big thing here too.

Good quality rooms close to the sea front. Very good facilities shared among the hotels in the TLH group. Good breakfast options and decent Wi-Fi almost everywhere.

Always relaxing, cleanleness excellent, wi fi could be better, bathtowels small, third year here loves it.

Hi, We have frequented the hotels here over many years. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and pleasant. The facilities are shared by three hotels linked together and the atmosphere here is always friendly. In house enetertainment that is good, with comedy and singers to dance too. You can watch bowling taking place. Computer room. Indoor activities. Any problems are quickly dealt with in a pleasant manner and resolved. We have enjoyed the dancing events. The Swimming pools. The spa treatments. The food. Favourite hotel being the Toorack with the views and the lovely outside spaces, and it's generally quite spaces. In fact we are visiting again shortly this year. Visited August 2015. Good, clean rooms. Noisey fans operating just outside our rooms, but thankfully stopped during the night but started again around 5am. Sleeping was not good due to this. The weather was so hot we had to leave the windows open all the time and the curtains closed. That aside the food was great as always and the staff brillient. Our stay was enjoyed.

I stayed here last year and will be visiting again in a few weeks time. As a disabled person I find every holiday has its problems so my review is: Parking 4 Food 5 Customer service 5 Entertainment 5 Facilities 5 Wheel chair access 3.5 Not all areas are easily accessable Rooms 4.5 Torquay 5 I know the complex is working on making things easier for the disabled because they have been converting rooms for this reason. I stay in one myself in three weeks time.

This hotel is part of a group of hotels sharing facilities. The rooms are basic, you can here a toilet flush two or three doors down. Staff are helpfull and pleasant. Parking places are hard to find.

Thanks for another enjoyable stay at the Toorak. Always nice to be greeted with a smile when you are away from home. Whether I am checking in, booking in for dinner or ten-pin bowling or even just passing in the corridor it is always good to see a smile. Well done to the Toorak and the very friendly Toorak "family".
