Really hard to find parking plus cost a £5.00 for the night. It's a sneaky tax. Not very welcoming at reception. Just had meal in the pub. It was awful, sausages grizzly buttery mash ummm. Chicken curry lukewarm no mango chutney and no one bothered to ask if meal ok. Staff too busy chatting to each other…

Not one of the big preniers very quiet very helpful reception and plenty of places around for food.

Room was clean and bed was comfy but that's it… worst nights sleep ever! NO AIR CON! There was a very noisy small desk fan and the room was 27° unbearably hot and right on a main road so to noisy to open the window. Never again!

Friendly staff. Room was very warm and had a slight damp smell. But the rooms were very clean. Suggest that you book a table for breakfast as it was chaotic in the restaurant. And the head waiter wasnt really in control of the situation however when the food arrived it was excellent.

The reception staff were brilliant, particularly as this was during a very snowy period although we left Plymouth before it started but they were very helpful is getting taxis etc. Room spotless, better than some higher starred hotels. …

No air con in the rooms, had to put up with 2 fans which were noisy and didn't cool the room, you can hear road noise with the window shut so defo couldn't sleep with the window open. £5 parking for 24 hrs but it is a public carpark so can't guarantee a space,

Love Lockyers, Have been here many times, gets a bit warm at night but fan in the room helps, the staff are always brilliant. Had breakfast both days in the on-site pub, Manager makes you feel more than welcome.
Overall a great weekend.

Good quality as you'd expect for premier inn. Beds comfy etc. But with the work. And the fact there is no air con. The rooms are like saunas. Terrible nights sleep. I would refund and leave if my company wasn't paying. They need air con! It's just to crowded and too warm to not have air con. Surely the fans they provide cost more to run and create more unhappy customers.

Nice place to go when the sun is shining as the outside seating area is large, they some times even have a bouncy castle for the kids. Food is nice and reasonably priced though sometimes the service at the bar can be slow and they often run out of ale.

Usual Premier Inn, reception, restaurant, rooms. We had a top floor room with nice harbour views. Approx 20 mins walk into town & theatres etc. Parking is £5 a night.

Went here because the Mrs had a voucher. And was very pleasantly surprised. I opted for the chicken wings and double steak burger. The Mrs had mushrooms and then a rib eye steak. And neither of us could find fault in anything. It all tasted great. The service was also great. Attentive but not in your face. Would definitely recommend and will go again.

Rooms are basic but clean and comfy. Reception staff were all lovely and very helpful. Restaurant attached is a bit of a dump but the hotel itself is fine. Easy walking distance to the quay and the marina.

Very good food, good service. Unsure about weather you have to pay to park. We did pay even though I personally think you shouldn't have to if you are eating at the restaurant and this should have been made clear.

Room 58… Unable to get mobile signal in room. No broadband signal in room… restaurant accross the car park… was so cold in there I was shivering whilst eating and asked staff to put on the heating. Went to bed early as cold and no broadband that I could do my work on.

Came down for one night on New Year's Eve to attend an event in a nearby club, pryzm, the hotel was about a 3 minute walk away perfect location lovely and clean, room was really spacious would definitely stay here again.

Friendly welcome when we arrived. Room clean and quiet. Love the location but the bridge over to Plymouth is shut. However, there is a water taxi which is only £1.50. Breakfast in the pub is fine. However, they have started charging £5 a day for parking. This used to be free.

Fabulous stay as always. Extremely warm welcome. Everyone so helpful and friendly. Had full breakfast every day very good never left a crumb. A special thank you to Sophia whom always is so helpful and friendly. I also bought a great Ormond street charity bear! Thank you for a very special 30th wedding anniversary stay. Xxx.

Very nice place to stay. Close to wear we needed to be. The staff here were absolutely first class. In particular a lady on reception last night called Hayley. Sorted us out with a table booking at another restaurant and milk for our youngest as we couldn't get to a shop. All together excellent and breakfast was great.

Food arrived late 45 mins after ordering, steak ordered medium rare was overcooked, it's likely it was cooked early and was left for a long time as the meat was dry. Waitress's were very good, sympathetic and helpful. I was offered another steak but as the course took so long to arrive I declined as we had to leave to catch a ferry.

Does what it says on the tin. It's a premier inn. Breakfast was awesome. The staff were great.

The food was delivered quickly and was pretty nice. We've been quite a few times before and it's normally a pleasant dining experience with some nice views over the harbour from one side of the building. My only real complaints would be that it can be very hard to get seated and served, even if there are free tables. Also, on this visit, the restaurant was full of flies and the windows are covered in live and squashed flies which was a bit unpleasant. However, overall Lockyers Quay is normally a reliable dining experience at a reasonable price, they could just do with some organisational improvements when they get busy.

A few negatives we noted: They Charge In advance for parking but can't guarantee a space. Breakfast on Sunday morning was nice, but Mondays was awful, so much so I declined it on our final morning on the Tuesday. We could hear people walking (sounded like stamping around) above us at all hours. Beds were comfortable and the room clean as expected. Brucie bonus: do ask for the 20% discount voucher to visit the aquarium which is 5 minutes walk away.

Great service, fantastic nights sleep. Staff we're pleasant and eager to help. Breakfast was also top notch.

The atmosphere was good, friendly. Service was very good considering the size our party but the quality and quantity of food was lacking in many areas. Fatty meat. Small rice portions compared to curry dish. Warm desserts as opposed to got. But the service was excellent.

A positive experience. Check in was easy and we were directed to our room. Room was clean and pleasant. A slight issue with other guests but dealt with professionally and quickly by staff.

Despite I feel prices are way to high in Plymouth, for Plymouth standards it is definitely good value. Excellent beds and very helpful staff. Especially thanks to Hailey. We ended here after a tiring sailrace (Fastnet) in pouring rain. Out of here own pocket lending us on good faith ferry money to not make us first walk 20 minutes into town for an ATM.

Fantastic food everytime. Great for kids and right next to the aquarium. Recommended.

The lunchtime menu was very reasonable with plenty of options. Also, the children's options were good. Food was nice and service reasonably prompt and attentive.

It's a typical Premier Inn, but with very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is across the car park, which sounds negative, but it's location is overlooking the quay, is very pleasant. Unfortunately, despite the accomodation being ideal, our room was at the back of the site and overlooking the road, which seemed to be a point for people to congregate in the early hours, when clubs empty. Not quietly! So specifying a front facing room when booking is advised.

Excellent value Premier Inn located just 5 minutes from the ferries and city centre. Quiet with good value dining and breakfast.

Stayed for a weekend — superb location, Staff went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful, room all we needed — clean and comfortable. Breakfast across the car park was excellently cooked and well worth the charge and set us up for the day! I left something behind and after a phone call it arrived by post the next day — Thank you Haylay much appreciated.

We wanted to say a big thank you to the lovely staff at the Premier Inn at Lockyers Quay who helped make our daughter's wedding weekend such a wonderful occasion! When the bride and groom got back to their room on their wedding night they found it decorated with swan shaped towels, little wedding themed hearts etc all over the room, champers and chocolates. Such a lovely thing to do. The Birds and Partridges x.

This is my 3rd stay at this hotel (business travel). On this occasion there was no one on reception when I arrived to check me in … 10 mins later Simon appeared (he had been assisting another customer within the hotel) and was extremely apologetic.
He called through to the restaurant to try and book me a table. But they were fully booked all night due to it being Valentines Day.
So have gave me a couple of take away suggestions and the address of the hotel in a card.
I went to my room to order food… then a knock at the door, it was Simon with a further apology and a bottle of wine and chocs to say sorry for delayed check-in.
I'm not sure if this is standard practice or him using his initiative but regardless it was a lovely touch and much appreciated after the 5 hours drive.
I hope his manager recognises his excellent customer service skills.

Comfortable good night's sleep and good staff on the reception.

Made very welcome from the moment we walked in. When they say comfortable beds, they certainly mean it. The breakfast was lovely and I would highly recommend it and will be definitely recommend it to all. A big thank you from Mr and Mrs Roberts x.

My son was asleep on arrival to the hotel and the night watch man was fantastic. He allowed us to park by reception over night so that I didn't have to stress by leaving him on his own in the hotel room whilst I moved the car. Overall the hotel was comfortable; relaxing and the location is superb.

We have stayed in this Premier Inn, in August 2014. Like all other Premier Inns it has not disappointed us. It is a great place to stay with excellent service and excellent location for an excellent value. It has a lovely restaurant with such great food, great menu and at the great location. Staff could not be any more helpful. The location for this price is a bargain. We have recommended this Hotel and restaurant to everyone we know.

A superbly located Hotel for all the delights of Plymouth Harbour and The Barbican. Staff are friendly and welcome conversation, Rooms are clean and well presented. However prices are inflated and very little chance of a good nights rest due to high ambient room temperatures (No Air Conditioning) resulting in windows need to be left open unless you want to bake like a potato. This allows all the noise from the busy road junction into the room. Further to this the eat as much as you like breakfast (paid on top of the room price) has a very high grease content and if you enjoy a good cup of tea then don't bother going at all, luke warm water, cold pots and cups all served with a smile. At £92 per night plus breakfast I expect a higher level. If you are deaf or from a hot country then staying here is a delight, just eat out in the Barbican.

Friendly service and some good food deals.

This particular Premier Inn is well located and really clean and modern. The room was a great size, there was no fuss with booking in or out. The bathroom is spacious with shower and bath. Staff were friendly and helpful the customer service levels were amazing. I would recommend to everyone, its fantastic value.
