Have not received an afternoon tea gift card I ordered. Tried to phone but cut off twice. Emailed no reply, terrible service.

Good good had a nice meal for my sister s birthday great experience and great time.

We went for our 1st wedding anniversary and had the most beautiful meal there all of the food was incredible and they looked after to so well and we got our food very quickly. Will definitely go back. Definitely a 5 star restaurant.

Everything at boringdon hall is amazing! The facilities, decor and grounds are beautiful and the staff are so warm and welcoming. The food is delicious 😍 and the massage was just the best. It's also really relaxing with amazing scenery. We cannot wait to come back again very soon! 😊

We had our wedding in boringdon hall. We were given a gift of a 2 course meal there for our anniversary (7 years) and it was as amazing as we remembered, service was just amazing, the food was equally amazing. And afterwards me and the wife walked around a little reminiscing of our wedding day, then a waitress asked if we've seen the "secret bar" and she showed us! it was a fun surprise as I distinctly remember one of the rooms were bigger when we had our wedding, turns out they hid the other half of the room in a form of a hidden bar. All in all an amazing night.

Yes, lovely setting, great staff. We only had brunch which was lovely however if you want to sit up at a table you need to ask when booking, we ate off of a low coffee type table. But it is well worth a visit.

Fabulous stay at this 5 star Hotel and Spa. My goodness, nothing was too much trouble from reception to restaurants and the Spa is beautiful.
Our room was fantastic and as our beautiful dog, Tod, was happily accepted at this gorgeous place, we had a room that had a separate door to outside, easy access for a dog walk.
We cannot wait to return and sample the food and wine so expertly delivered to us.
Thank you to all of the staff as everywhere we went we had the same high standard of service.

We stayed for two nights recently and had the best time. The Àclèaf restaurant is fantastic. Amazing food and experience. Spa is fabulous. Will be coming again very soon.

Stayed In The Executive Suite Which Was Just Beautiful. Spa Was Just Blissful Spent Hours Relaxing. From The Minute We Arrived Was so magical and relaxing. Absolutely delightful meal in the Mayflower Brasserie for a special occasion. Really superb atmosphere and friendly staff.

Booked afternoon tea for my birthday treat today — ironically discounted as we had a prior poor experience. No high chair provided for my 9mo. Was given one that was falling apart and had 4/6 straps missing as was told all other chairs were away being inspected. Clearly stated on booking that a high chair was needed. Mostly concerned that staff were encouraging us to use a chair that was frankly unsafe and that the member of staff trying to help us said she would not put her own child in. The chair had obviously been left behind for the tip run! Why you would not leave at least one safe high chair to use (especially when I gave advanced notice it was needed) is beyond me. Would’ve been happy to bring my own if told. Manager useless, no proper solution offered. Then had to drive around looking for somewhere for lunch with a crying baby. First time out together in months after getting no help whatsoever with our 9mo as our families are essentially shielding and husband has worked throughout the pandemic. Expected a nice, stress free experience. Will NOT be returning again. Also heard the couple on the opposite table complaining. Pretty poor considering there were only 3 couples in the restaurant in total. Whole place needs sorting out as a matter of urgency. On a side note, Cassie who took our order was lovely and a credit to the team.

Beautiful spa, great range of treatments available, excellent staff. Some of the clients are less than congenial, but the facilities are very good indeed. Prices are equal to local competition, but quality of service and environment is better.

My wife and I visited for our 1st wedding anniversary. The staff were great on arrival and the whole way through our stay. There were lots of little touches throughout our stay to show hotel really care about there guests, such as balloons and homemade truffles in our room, 'happy anniversary' written in chocolate with homemade sweets through our meal and toffees at turndown. We had a three course meal In the brasserie (as we preferred the vegetarian options compared to their other restaurant), all three courses were fantastic, the staff attentive and friendly at all times. We then had a little fun finding and settling in the secret bar (ssshhh) for the remainder of the evening. Breakfast was very tasty with one having the vegetarian full English and the other smashed avocado and poached eggs on rosemary bread. Tea and coffee served in a decent size cafetiere and teapot so not having to as for refills. Lots of pastries, yogurts and fruit on offer too. Its such a special place, I can't recommend it highly enough.

I attended a meeting here and the building is beautiful, it feels extremely old and rustic but the room had been decorated so well it felt really light. It would be lovely for a wedding reception. The catering was fabulous as a vegetarian I was really pleased with my options. We looked at the spa and would love to return for a relaxing break.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Elizabethan suite for our anniversary. Loved the room with the four poster bed and roll top bath, the 7 course tasting menu was divine and the breakfast spread was more than we could ask for. The spa facilities were spotless and relaxing with 5 sauna/steam rooms, lovely pool with separate Jacuzzi pool. The outside spa sun lounger space was idyllic in the July sunshine. The whole team of staff were welcoming, friendly & always ready to help. Little extras made a big difference (celebration balloons & goodie bag on check out). No complaints, just perfect. Highly recommend for a romantic stay or girlie spa break.

Spa very nice indeed, food generally good although the quality occasionally mixed. Very laid back ambience, service extremely professional and good attention to your needs. Couple of small gripes about the room but only minor, generally everything is lovely and to an excellent standard.

Had the pleasure of staying here back in December, took full advantage of their pool and spa facilities which were excellent, just as described on their website. My personal favourite being the pool which extends outside, allowing you to catch a cool breeze while relaxing in the warm water, which was a perfect temperature. Staff were friendly and keen to assist with whatever we needed, and the hotel room was well presented, clean, tidy and exactly what you would expect from a premium establishment. Well recommended.

Absolutely gorgeous place, spa is lovely and not too intimidating like some. The outdoor pool area is fantastic. Lots of history attached to the place too.

Shud try there special afternoon teas amazing quite pricey though for what they are.

The spa was brilliant. There was a man using his mobile phone in the spa probably filming! unfortunately no mud wraps as expected. Only 30 minutes instead of 40. Short skin brush and oil. Gallery meal was delicious. Staff all lovely. Room very comfortable.

Excellent food in the Gallery restaurant. We stayed in the Royal Suite, which was amazing. Definitely planning a re-visit in the next six months. Faultless service and a fantastic spa.

I attended a spa day here, the treatment was absolutely lovely! But. The food was not great, the "greek salad" was just giant bits of pepper cut up with a what seemed to be a whole lamb on top, it was tasteless, which was a shame. The pudding we then had was a caramel cake with a chocolate truffle ball on top, the best part was the truffle. The cake was dry and tasteless. I was expecting more considering I had paid £95 for the day. Other than the food the day was lovely! Loved the whole day, the staff were lovely and welcoming. I had the neck, back and shoulders massage and it was incredible, I wish I had got the girls name because she was amazing at her job!

Great food and service in a beautiful old building. Well worth the cost of a visit to the Gallery Restaurant.

Very enjoyable day spent here using the steam rooms and saunas. Decent little pool and a warm jacuzzi that goes in both indoor and outdoor. Very nice food in the Spatisserie and super treatments.

Visited for Afternoon Tea with a Festive theme. Wonderful experience, such attentive treatment and lovely food. Thoroughly recommended if you're in the area.

Where do I start? We came here for a little honeymoon a couple of weeks ago. The staff could not have done more to make it the most special and incredible break we needed. They upgraded us to the most stunning suite and left balloons and truffles as a welcome with a handwritten card. Maybe my increase hormone levels due to a little baby on the way helped this but these wonderful personal touches really did make me quite teary and over whelemed (in a fabulously good way of course) Our meal was absolutely out of this world and another wonderful touch was a plate with congratulations written in chocolate holding a gluten and dairy free chocolate Tiffin on it (Yes we are awkward buggers! They dealt with it amazingly. ) Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff there, making the stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Now the Spa… Wow what a spa absolutely stunning! Fabulous pools and although I couldn't enjoy them my husband assured me the variety of steam rooms and saunas were just amazing. I can not recommended this picturesque friendly fabulous hotel any more! It truly was a magical visit and we will definitely be back. Thank you personally to all the staff who really went above and beyond you made us so very welcome and happy. We hope to be back soon. Jessie x.

Really enjoyed our recent spa morning visit to Boringdon Hall. The place is incredible and the facilities were brilliant. All staff were very friendly and professional. Would definantly recommend!

What a fantastic stay and game of golf. I'm a novice golfer but was made so welcome by the ground staff and hotel. We turned up very late but that was not a problem a very professional approach to a business.

The Gaia Spa is a great addition, a very well presented spa with various facilities. Would recommend the Twilight Spa package in the evenings.

The spa is amazing. Very relaxing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The evening meals are beautifully presented, but I wasn't particularly impressed with tastes and flavours. In all the food was a bit disappointing.

Wonderful lunch. Two treatments and use of all the facilities. Service in all departments excellent. Definitely returning.

This place is just perfect. I have visited several times before and never been disappointed. Today we had a special family event and were let down by another venue at the last minute. I rang Boringdon and asked for afternoon tea, even though it was close to the time they would normally stop serving they agreed to accommodate us. The food was amazing as ever and the staff were just brilliant, so welcoming and made us feel at home. Thank you so much for rescuing us today Boringdon, you are just wonderful and you made our day xx.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The staff go 110% to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as can be. The swimming pool, spa, sauna and outdoor jacuzzi are just amazing. The breakfast is just mouth watering. If you want to get away from anything this is the best place to recharge yourself.

This was our second visit, just as good if not better than the last stay. All the staff where friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was out of this world in taste and presentation highly recommended. The spa facilities our just great, so relaxing. Would recommend. Only one little thing but frustrating can't see how they can charge £5:00 for a small packet of salted nuts from the mini bar (only £4:50 for a bottle of beer)!

First time I have been to boringdon Hall due to people's previous poor experience with the food I didn't want to go. The new head chef at boringdon did the food at my wedding. Can happily say he is a great chef and the food and service was faultless.

This is a small soon to be 5* hotel (boutique I would call it) with a very friendly environment. The ancient artistic looking with the friendliness of the staff make this place exceptional. Great view of the moors.

According to our UK tour Hotel we were finally 2 nights to guest at the Boringdon Hall — we booked the four poster room with a bath before the fireplace.
The room was really great! Since almost all agreed — little things that we noticed, are negligible. What is a the entire stay
thread smacks given has, however, the service was.
The reception was not unfriendly, yet bored and disinterested of the guests – no matter whether in greeting another Unlock of our card or check-out. The cleaner was quite demotivated and did the job more moderately. The service at breakfast, which constitutes as a "Liar" — my wife made a faux pas is but here it was what wrong at the table was only about… Apart from that here was my wife in law, every normal service would have easily corrected the error.
Conclusion:
After we on our UK tour really some B & BS and hotels
have attended, I can say that the Boringdon Hall Hotel of the building and the rooms here was the most beautiful. The breakfast was also the only one which sausage and cheese on offer had (in UK rare).
We felt but the worst treated by the service.
3, 4 / 5 stars — that's why only 3 stars! Also 5 star would be possible with better service!

Rm12; Fantastic looking room in an amazing setting. The building is 400yrs old so not surprising the room was a little cool in the night. Service is fantastic. We asked for tea with breakfast and got coffee which was instantly replaced. We asked for white toast and got brown but all it did was add to the atmosphere. A beautiful hotel in fantastic grounds. We will be staying again once the spa is open.

Lovely venue full of character. Plenty of facilities which Sadly I did not get the chance to sample as I was there for a day of lectures. Lunch was OK but perhaps a little more variety would have been good.

Was there for a Christmas Party. A brilliant evening, loved every bit and highly recommend it to others. Great food, and brilliant atmosphere. Waiters were brilliant too. Drinks prices seemed a little high, but kind of expected that. Decided to stay the night. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was lovely. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. A great choice from the continental buffet and a hearty full English fry up.

Extremely disappointing, food, service and atmosphere.

We recently had a birthday party event at Boringdon Hall. We could not fault the place. The building and grounds are beautiful and all the staff are excellent. The receptionists were very helpful and the waiters and bar staff were attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Ali, the event manager ensured everything ran smoothly and is really on the ball. We could imagine it making a fantastic venue for a wedding. We even had a chance to see some of the rooms, which were comfortable, impressive and in-keeping with the history of the hotel. We will definitely be back.

Stayed with my wife in November impressive building with loads of character and original features. The room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay although I would say that they need to improve the reception rooms.

Felt let down went sat 27 april for birthday treat food was fine but service was awful starters brought out saw nobody during meal out came mains placed on table finished main meal veg then brought out thought it was customary for staff to approach customers at least once during meal to enquire if everything was ok but no sad but service was awfull so wont be going back.

Stopped here on a business trip and the hotel is one of the best I've ever speed in. Great service. Breakfast was expensive but very nice and worth it. Will definitely stay again.

The venue is lovely. However beware that they frequently hold private functions there, and the building is just not suitable for holding private functions without compromising peace and quiet for hotel guests. We stayed there on Friday and Saturday nights, and there was a wedding on Friday, and on Saturday, there was another wedding and an 18th birthday party. Though the bar with log fire was lovely, we didn't manage to use it as the place was cramped full of drunken chavs from the wedding, and the bar was playing loud dance/pop music totally not what you would expect of a place like this. Dinner at the restaurant was quite unpleasant as the restaurant was overlooking the bar below. Hence the diners could hardly converse for the noise from the bar below. It was like having dinner in a club. Really not what you expect in a fancy restaurant. The hotel doesn't seem to know what audience it is targeting. Don't go there if you expect a tranquil retreat. From the looks of it, this private function mess seems to be a regular occurrence.
