Excellent service, good food and lovely atmosphere.

Went for afternoo tea my mum has a nut allergy which they catered for. Lattes were lovely and food was amazing especially the mini lemon meringues and scones 😋 staff very friendly and accomating. My mum loves history and receptionist showed my mum ball room and gallery which she loved. Manor is beautiful. Definately recommend and will be back!

Had an afternoon tea voucher. Was a beautiful afternoon tea, one of the best ones I’ve had. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel too.

Really enjoyable afternoon tea today, sat outside in the courtyard. Staff, particularly the lady on her second day, were excellent. Food was really good — especially the scones and salmon sandwiches — with a comprehensive range of teas. A really special afternoon.

Found this lovely place in 2000, we have been back with friends many times, taken family and shared our family history connection, stay in the wonderful 4 poster bedroom, had wonderful meals and afternoon teas. We will always return for more.

Lovely setting in old manor house with traditional furnishings and great atmosphere. Very attentive and helpful staff. Can thoroughly recommend the Afternoon Tea.

A birthday treat that was glorious. We had our own little tower with a four poster that was perfect. Gorgeous surroundings and wonderful food. Highly recommended.

The ambience and location is delightful. Having been for lunch today the food was very disappointing. The festive menu was given only quoted a three course price, and very limited, particularly you don't like fish. Upon request when not everyone wanted a dessert we found it was possible to have less courses. The canapes were delightful, sadly we didn't find the rest of the meal value for money.

Chose this stunning venue for our wedding we could not have picked a more perfect setting and all our guests were in awe of its beauty and splendour, made all that more special by the fabulous team at Lewtrenchard! Would highly recommend for any occasion.

A very special place — wonderful history. Stayed here 20 years ago and again this year. Nothing changed. Exclusive and fabulous. Take fois gras off the menu please.

Beautiful building in gorgeous surrounded. Greeted on arrival by the owner and taken through to the lounge where we had welcome drinks in front of the crackling fire. The staff were very attentive throughout and the food was beautiful!
We had the Sunday lunch offer — excellent value for money at £27.50pp for 3 courses.
Can’t wait to go back and take our family.

A little regimented for our liking, food ok but our main problem was the cluster fly’s I spent most of our first nights stay swatting the dame things!
The second night much the same food ok but same menu as the previous night and more cluster fly’s and all the owner could say was we can’t get rid of them so not much empathy and not really the answer I was expecting for £300 per night.
I would not return despite the wonderful house and gardens the fly’s rather spoilt our stay.

Visited for a high tea which was a buy a gift voucher given as a present. Excellent high tea all fresh and delicious hand made cakes presented beautifully. Large selection of teas.

Been here several times for several reasons. Always well attended and food always good. Last time was for afternoon tea which, was lovely.

We had a lovely lunch here today. Food, beer, wine and friendly service were all excellent. Beautiful extensive gardens for a walk before or after dining. Splendid historic setting tops off the whole experience. We had a great time and no doubt you will too.

Just stunning location with delightful owners. Not always open to the public so seize the chance to visit their English Country Garden Festival first w/e in June.

Beautifully kept manor house with lots of interesting things to look at. We stopped for a look and then dinner. The owners are lovely and have created something really special here, the food was good with efficient friendly service. We will be returning to stay next time.

A wonderful house and gardens serving good food. This large old stone house has many historic features and is well wort visiting. Also, a walk around the garden should not be missed.

Being just across the road from my parents, this little gem is wonderful for a special occasion, whether that be anniversary, wedding, birthday they can actor for it. Fantastic food, great selection of spirits (new and OLD). A picturesque manner house with tonnes and tonnes of history! Also my sister got married here and it was an absolutely fantastic location for a wedding! Really recommend, however it is on the pricier side!

Excellent food, great service, beautiful house and gardens. We were able to enjoy lunch at a leisurely pace in a private room and kids were welcomed. Expensive but for a special occasion it's well worth it (in our case a 70th birthday). Recommended.

The food is excellent and cooked to a very high standard but the menu could probably be refreshed more often. The hotel certainly deserves more than 3 stars!
