Had a wonderful afternoon tea here. Absolutely delicious. Fantastic attention to detail. The hotel itself is beautiful! Unfortunately Michael Caines wasn’t here today but we know he greets his guests when he is.

An oasis of calm and loveliness amid all the chaos around us at the moment. We were well looked after and felt very safe with the extra precautions taken and the food was up to the usual deliciously high standard.

The most wonderful meal we have had. We have been luckily enough to eat at a number of Michelin star restaurants and this is the best food, location, atmosphere and friendly chef patron. Some chefs refuse to see customers but it was my 40th and Michael spent ages talking to me. Thank you.

Would just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Lympstone Manor. My partner and I stayed there for a 1 night break and dinner in the restaurant. From the moment we stepped foot in the door we were treated like royalty and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We stayed there for my birthday and everyone went the extra mile to make it a special stay, even had a Happy Birthday message on the chocolates that were served with coffee at the end of the meal. Thank you again.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere!

Had lunch last Friday, 13th March, it was fantastic from the cocktail through to the coffee. The meal was fantastic as usual, superb quality and excellent service. The staff were very attentive and happy. We will be going back. I think it is the best restaurant in the south-west and well worth a visit.

Everything about our Lympstone manor stay was perfection. The staff were fantastic, food was superb. It was such a treat for our 35th Wedding Anniversary.

We were celebrating my husbands 60th Birthday. We had a fabulous lunch and were looked after very well by all the staff. Shame about the weather but it was a lovely experience. Delicious food with a glass of bubbly to start.

Just the most amazing hotel. Beautiful suites, gorgeous grounds and the food was sublime. The staff here are consummate professionals yet warm and engaging. This hotel just has it right.

Holy moo … Sublime… yes stunning location … Unquestionably delicious food … Fabulous decor… But what made our 2 day stay so special was the awesome team of lovely staff. Excellent hotel and service. We came here for Michael Caine's cuisine and had a wonderful experience thanks to the staff. Footnote: the hotel has two charging points for electric vehicles but at £7 per hour better to go elsewhere (rapid charger at Exeter Services to be precise).

Most enviable resort according to some folks from Devonshire we met in Cornwall; they proved not to be liars.

We had evening meal here in July. Pleasant enough, had the eight course menu, some fantastic food and some not to my taste. The attention to detail was excellent. The food choices were good. I didn't like the sweet becuase it was too sharp, but don't let that stop you going here for a great fine dinning experience.

My father booked the hotel for exclusive use to celebrate his 80th birthday. I felt like I had walked into another world — it is truly beautiful. The minute we arrived we were looked after and made to feel special in a friendly and unpretentious manner — nothing was too much trouble. As there were 36 of us, food had been pre-booked and the whole experience ran smoothly. We were also lucky enough to have picked the best weekend as the weather was perfect. It is the most exquisite experience with delightful staff. I didn't want to leave! The icing on the cake for my Dad was Michael Caines joining us in the bar after dinner to chat with his guests.

You can't just wonder in here without being made to feel like you don't belong here. We wanted to sit down have a drink and decide if we were going to have super here to be told we couldn't and had to sit in reception and were given a few minutes until we were asked if we were eating here… We decided against it. We like to feel special if we are to pay £200 a head.

We had the most amazing time last Saturday night, taster menu and flight of wine. Food was delicious, atmosphere fab, formal however not pretentious, beautiful setting and views. Anka was brilliant and made us welcome and lovely sense of humour. Appreciated Michael talking to us at the end of a divine, plate licking meal. We live in Warwick, so, long way to go however worth it. Will definitely be back. As will the 6 others there with me.

The property was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a bit small. The food tells us there’s an aspiring chef on site. The sommelier seems to need improvement. He should ask for the patron to taste the wine and make a decision of whether decanting or not, instead of decanting the 1994 La Mission Haut Brion on his own initiative.

The whole day was such a treat. The food, service, ambience and even the weather was on our side and to top the whole occasion, Michael was cooking and he came to greet us when we arrived and was there to say goodbye when we left. I have a lovely memento of a signed menu and a photograph with the great chef himself.
Oh and the lunch was superb, from the appetisers with our pre Luncheon drink to the coffee and petit fours, the flavours and presentation of our meal and the lovely staff who served us. We loved every moment and cant wait to go again. First class!

Had the most wonderful time yesterday for my birthday. On arrival we were told that our booking had been upgraded which was a nice touch. All of the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and made for a relaxing stay. The food is nothing short of sensational with wonderful flavours & textures working brilliantly together. The wine was also excellent. We also had the added bonus of Michael Caines being in the kitchen although I am sure that all of the chefs are very talented. We will be back, probably in May for our anniversary.

Wonderful from walking in the door. Lovely attentive staff, nice room (with nice upgrade for my wife’s birthday), drinks and petit fours before outstanding taster menu with my wife having the veggie taster menu. Comfy bed and perfect breakfast with lovely ‘proper coffee. If you want a memorable treat, this is the place.
