We have no words. From the moment we visited in 2018 and met with Sophie, we just knew this would be our wedding venue. 4 years later, 3 wedding dates and a pandemic, we had our magical day. I cannot thank the wonderful staff at Deer Park enough for giving us the most incredible wedding. The venue itself is beautiful but it would not function without the amazing staff who looked after us from day one. A special mention to Sophie, Mark and Iain for ensuring we had the perfect day. If you’re considering Deer Park as your wedding venue, book in for a show-around, it’s totally worth it!

My daughter got married here this last weekend and it was a totally fabulous occasion from beginning to end. One of the things that impressed me most was the staff who are mostly quite young but run this place with totally efficiency. The food was delicious, the place is so beautiful and the room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. Five stars all the way. A big thank you for providing us with a wonderful day.

Absolutely outstanding and beautiful venue for my sisters wedding. From Yhe Shed, to the bedroom in the main house and the food to the staff, I cannot fault a single thing. The accommodation is lovely, the wedding was amazing, food was fantastic, Mark was amazing when we forgot to order a vegetarian meal, he sorted it out immediately without fuss. On Sunday, we had the most beautiful day for our Sons wedding at Deer Park! Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. A beautiful setting, fabulous food and wonderful people. I wouldn’t change a single thing!

Yesterday we celebrated our daughter’s wedding at the hotel. It was the most magical day. Everything was first class from the wedding planners, the staff, the food and the venue. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to get married.

I don’t even know where to start. Everything and I mean everything about this venue is incredible. My wedding was a dream. Every single member of staff were amazing. Sophie our wedding co-ordinator was so helpful, friendly and made planning the wedding a walk in the park — thank you!
Mark — you are so special, you made everyone at ease, you made us laugh and you went above and beyond for everyone! A lot of guests commented on how fab you were and so good with the children.
The food was absolute perfection, everyone couldn’t stop talking about it! It was divine.

The most perfect day spent at Deer park. Our wedding day 6th August was just incredible from start to finish. After 2 original dates we finally made it and it was worth the wait and more! The setting was beautiful and ALL the staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and they all had big smiles on their faces.

We got married at Deer Park, the setting is incredible, the grounds are beautiful, the food was so delicious. The staff were amazing throughout from the wedding planners to the managers to the waitresses and waiters. We couldn’t fault the venue at all. I couldn’t recommend it enough. I wish I could do our day all over agin every week.

It truly is a pleasure to work with Deer Park and to be a preferred supplier for them. The beauty of this Country house is second to none. Steve Poat chauffeured us to the Deer Park, his driving was smooth and the conversation was relaxed and comfortable. He is such an asset to the Deer Park and made an incredible start to Grandads 90th birthday from the moment he pulled up outside the house and welcomed us with his pink brolly! Thank you.

Had our Wedding on 20.10.19 and it was amazing! When we went to view Deer Park first time around, we just knew this was the perfect place. The staff are fantastic. All our wedding guests couldn't fault anything and are all keen to go back and so are we.

Perfect Wedding Venue for a Perfect Day! We had our best day ever at this incredible venue. From the first visit we knew it was the venue for us. The staff are so friendly, passionate and amazing at there jobs, nothing was to much trouble, they took all the stress away! Everything running up to the day was all sorted Sophie our wedding planner was great and sorted everything so perfectly. On the day it was better than we could of ever dreamed of, venue looked incredible, staff so helpful, food amazing and attention to detail spot on. We and our guests had an amazing time! This was the first wedding venue we saw and when we went to have a look around we knew it had to be our venue. The place is just stunning. Throughout the whole planning experience the team especially Kate has been just amazing.
The day went perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. All our guests couldn’t get over how amazing deer park is. We very much recommend and look forward to coming back again. Xx.

This was the first venue we looked at for our wedding and we both were completely sold straight away! Once we had booked the venue everything was seamless, especially communication with the wedding coordinator which was so efficient, she always wanted to help us have our perfect day. So many of our guests commented to us that it is the best venue they have ever been to for a wedding and we feel many venues could learn a few tips from the Deer Park! It has stunning grounds which have many areas for guests to enjoy plus it is the most beautiful house again with many rooms for guests to spill into. I honestly couldn't recommend this venue enough to anyone thinking of using it. The staff were like a well oiled machine who ran everything like clockwork and always kept us updated with anything. So The Deer Park from the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for making our day so special!

My husband and I chose the Deer Park for our wedding after one of their wedding fairs, October 1st 2018. What an amazing day and night. Sophie was a dream to work with. The other staff were amazing,. Food excellent and our little dog was well looked after from the a la bark menu. Highly recommend, and pizzas for evening were a hit!

Just wanted to say thank you so much to Kate and her amazing team at Deer Park! We had our wedding two days ago, Kate was extremely attentive, friendly and helpful from the get go. All the staff on the day were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, they were absolutely fantastic and even joined in with us! The food was outstanding and complimented on by everybody who attended! Such a beautiful and wonderful venue and the staff made it 100% what we imagined for our big day. What an amazing experience, my husband & I got married at Deer Park & it was just perfect. The staff were all so attentive & ensured everything ran as smoothly as possible, superb organisation & communication which really takes the stress off of you & allows you to relax and enjoy your special day. If I could do it again to relive the day I would, it really was a dream come true. Deer Park is a beautiful Devon wedding venue. It has changed quite a bit since I have been photographing there over the years but their commitment to making every wedding day as special as possible has been a constant. The staff are friendly and very professional. The building is beautiful and the grounds stunning. A lovely wedding venue and well worth a look if you are planning your wedding in this area.

We had never hear of deer park until we started looking for places to get married, and it was the first place we looked at!
Everywhere afterwards we visited just didn’t have that feeling!

I was recently given the pleasure of staying at The Deer Park Country House, with my husband in celebrating our one year anniversary. It was the perfect getaway, quiet and remote, the service was impeccable and the treehouse we stayed in was the ideal home away from home, and was equipped with everything we could need for a perfect stay. The food was absolutely incredible, the presentation was amazing and the taste, even better! The grounds are the perfect place for a stroll… enjoying the beautiful gardens and idyllic scenery and the room was perfect for a quiet drink with friends in the evening looking out onto sunset. A special thank you to Mark Godfrey, the Managing Director, for arranging complimentary champagne and strawberries as well as the wonderful gift. What a personal touch! We were well cared for and the stay was the break we much needed to relax and get away from our busy lives. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a wonderful stay, we will definitely be returning.

Went to the Deer Park Hotel for my husband's birthday. We were greeted by waiter and shown to the lounge which is really lovely it opens onto beautiful gardens and the views are amazing. We were shown the menu and choose our choices and had a drink. A while later shown to our table where we had a lovely 3 course meal. Again the gardens were lovely with lots of seating to enjoy the the weather and appreciate the atmosphere with a coffee or drink. In all a lovely experience.

Deer Park is the most spectacular wedding venue with such choice of great food and amazing photo oportunities the staff are very professional as well as friendly highly recommended!

Really enjoyed our stay. Food v good. Afternoon tea — wow! Walks around the extensive grounds are v relaxing. Great for dogs, they are treated as part of the family. River Otter at the bottom of the grounds, lovely walks with dog.

Beautiful location by the river otter romantic getaway. Kingfishers otters and beavers on the river all add to the delight of staying there.

Our last minute stay couldn’t have been better. Great surroundings, great decor, very tasty food, friendly staff. Next time we’ll stay by choice and not just chance!

Lovely friendly staff. Beautiful setting. We did their Grapevine evening which was really good and excellent value for money. Our room was small and in need of updating but there are better categories of room which we would select next time. Bed very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Just had afternoon tea here for my sister's 70th. It was absolutely magical, from the pretty mismatched china, to the cakes, scones, sandwiches, everything just perfect. We couldn't fault it and had the best time. The staff were lovely, attentive but without being too much, and the outside gardens and surroundings are beautiful. A truly lovely place to visit, very well presented without a hint of stuffiness.

A Beautiful, friendly and relaxing hotel, with some of the best food I've eaten anywhere. An ideal venue for a small company group gathering, conference or team building.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. Everything about it is first class. The staff are incredibly helpful, the room was lovely and the food & drink are excellent. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful superior room (thanks for the upgrade). Staff were very friendly and the function room (orangery) was perfect for our friends wedding. The grounds are lovely too.

The food here us incredible. Worked here and was lucky enough to be fed here too. I had potted shrimp with trout which had picked cucumber wrapped around little circles of fishy joy. Followed by the venison which was perfectly cooked and reared on the estate. The staff were extremely good, very young and not in the least bit stuffy. The rooms were beautiful but simple and unfussy with lovely views over the Devon countryside. Highly recommend!

Lovely hotel and restaurant. Grounds are beautiful. Food is fantastic. They also offer great things to do. The tree house looks amazing. Lost a star due to the cheesy messages and marketing. Really cringe… wot hoe… toodle pip! Which annoyed me as everything else was perfect… maybe if I'm being picky some of the staffs presentation for a posh establishment wasn't up to scratch.

Came here for a business function and was blown away by the attention to detail of creating such a warm, vibrant and eloquent hotel. Decor is great, food is amazing. Staff are helpful, professional and friendly. The grounds and landscape gardens are well kept and scenic. Lovely touch having the deer on the property. Will definitely come back here.

Nice venue and if weather permits great gardens and there are things to see and do, we were there for a wedding. Food was a little lacking and slow to come. Staff seemed helpful though.

Those poor deer, they have barely any space, and don't be fooled they are there as ornaments until they're sent to slaughter and the next "batch" arrives. Disgusting. Oh and the colour is awful!

Very nice old English country hotel. Brilliant British food menu. Fair pricing for the high standards. Great for functions like weddings and funerals.

Simply the best country house hotel in the South West. Take for granted good home grown food and flowers, big comfy bedrooms and great people. Add in the huge collection of sporting paintings, books and vintage car collection. Then wander the beautiful gardens and the banks of the river otter, and you may forget that you came for a glamorous wedding!

Went for afternoon tea and it was excellent. Welcome and service was top notch. The room where they serve afternoon tea is bright and airy, with the tables well spaced. The tea and coffee were first rate. The food was superb. The sandwiches fresh, using great bread and fillings. The scones warm and freshly baked. The selection of cakes varied and very tasty. It is expensive, but worth it as a treat.

Our son and daughter in law had their wedding reception here on 11th March. We cannot thank The Deer Park staff enough for all the time and attention they put in to making their day so very special. We had the undivided attention of staff, the day before to set up and on the day — ready to help us with anything we needed. We had the whole house and grounds to do what we wanted and the beautiful breathtaking Orangery for the reception. The whole day went perfectly to plan, with wonderful food and a plentiful and easily accessible bar. Guests rooms were lovely. Altogether a very good experience. Thank you Deer Park.

Had our wedding at The Deer Park last weekend and it was truly the most magical place to get married. The new orangerey is stunning and each room in the house is different and unique — not to mention the gorgeous grounds that we were able to enjoy. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure the day was exactly how we wanted, especially Sophie our wedding planner, Mark the event manager on the day and Dale who even took us out on the golf buggy for photos! Thank you especially to all of you for your non-stop help! We had the most amazing and special day that we will treasure for ever!

Went to see venue for my wedding, venue is lovely. Bit disappointed that we couldn't view much of the grounds due to mud and hotel due to being fully booked.

Fantastic destination. The setting is perfect for a quiet getaway or for a business event. The staff are very efficient and friendly and the food is really good! No problem recommending this hotel with a 5 star review. Just go there, you will see why!

The hotel was stunning and a beautiful wedding venue. I was particularly impressed with the food especially with my dietary requirements. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous but may be a little early.

Have only used the restaurant as we live in Honiton. The food and service always excellent. Would recommend it.

This is one of my favourite hotels, which is why I chose it for my fairy tale wedding in 2010. Since then we have been back several times. so it made perfect sense to hold my step dads 80th Birthday Bash there. and I am so glad I did. The Food was beautiful, tasty and big portions. including plenty of delicious vegetables. The pudding was to die for. Fantastic Banoffee Pie. Or Individual Raspberry Pavlova,, am wishing I had chosen both puddings! The Service. Amazing friendly and fast. The Staff. Lovely to see some familiar faces mixed in with new faces. All friendly and helpful. The Venue. Is just WOW! especially with all the new improvements. Beautiful! I will be returning in the near future. Many thanks again Deer Park.

Party of eight for Sunday lunch, Qualty and service as good as usual. We were all dissapointed with the new style management where they were dressed very casually which is not in keeping with this establishment. Apart from that they were keen to impress but rather pushy with exrtas. Will be going again as it one of our favourite venues.

My idea of a country hotel, a beautiful building in wonderful surrounding and bags of old world charm. Food excellent and staff pleasant and helpful. A bit hard to find, but it will keep it a bit exclusive, being selfish. Excellent value, we are sure to be back.
