Amazing take away delivered to our house in Buckfastleigh. Excellent service from the lady taking orders on the phone to the nice man delivering (we forgot to give you your tip) Food packaged so well that the it was piping hot when we sat down to eat. Fantastic quality and possibly the best chips I've ever eaten! Thank you and will be ordering again next week.

Friendly Staff. Good food. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. This is the second stay for us here. Dog friendly as well. Dogs allowed in the bar. Would recommend.

Went for a Christmas lunch and all 20 meals were excellent, they catered for 2x Celiacs and 2 vegetarians, nothing was too much trouble, thank you everyone involved.

Went to the Indian curry buffet on Tuesday night, absolutely delicious. Our server, Pennii was great too, definitely going back.

Stop over be 4 going back to Milton Keynes, lovely friendly staff room lovely looking forward to dinner later and cooked breakfast in the morning.

Wow wow wow! just got married here on 6/4/2019 and this was the best decision we made having it here. The whole team are amazing, well mannered and friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Every visit we made we were made to feel like family. The food is outstanding and the staff go above and beyond to cater to everyone's needs. Our wedding planner Emma, is the most fabulous lady and most selfless person ever. She went above and beyond to get to know us as a couple …and knew exactly what we wanted on our special day… it was an honour having Emma play such a massive part in our wedding day and will truly miss her and is a massive credit to The Dartmoor lodge. thank you to the whole team, our day was perfect and we will be back for our Sunday roasts which are the BEST! Downside. Last night, a very noisy guest next to me, slamming doors until gone midnight, also a birthday party here tonight so think it’ll be another disturbing night.

Sunday Carvery was really good. The meats were delicious with a good selection of veg and the mango sorbet finished the meal beautifully, The staff were helpful and attentive and help was offered, and gratefully accepted, to a member of our party who had to use a walking stick.

Just had dinner, didn't stay over. Good beer and food. Resteraunt and bar both busy on a wednesday night, casual and relaxed. Carvery was plentiful and with excellent meat but alas the roasties not up to scratch.

Pleasant room. Enjoyable breakfast with wide choice. Dined on very good fish and chips from main menu, reasonable choice of wines and beers. Easy to get to from A38 but no traffic noise to speak of. Pleasant staff.

7 of us had a lovely carvery there today. Lovely selection of Meat and Veg, and the desserts were great too. Prompt service. Nice real ales as well. Reasonably priced. Staff were all pleasant and helpful.

We managed to get a table very last minute on a rainy Sunday and were so glad we could. The pub is big and very busy but the staff treat you as if your the only one there giving you plenty of time at every point. The service is similar, just a 10 min wait for our food and drinks were all but instant. The venue is well looked after and is very clean and tidy. Lovely location and great outdoor area. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Go now and enjoy!

We had our wedding reception at Dartmoor Lodge after our church service on the 30th June and were blown away by how well everything went! We didn't look at any other venues after our 1st meeting with Di — such a relaxed process from start to finish, helping us with all the little details that made it so perfect for us. Nothing was too much trouble and even on the day, everything ran so smoothly. We had incredible weather and our guests were greeted in the gardens with a red carpet, pimms and canapes during photos, before sitting down to the most amazing meal. Our mini honeymoon was the perfect end and prolonged that wedding feeling. We both cant thank you enough for making our wedding day so special and we will be back!

We had a wonderful family lunch in a large room with a lovely outside space. The food was wonderful, and the staff were an absolute joy! Would recommend without hesitation.

We had our wedding at the Dartmoor lodge on 02/06/18. Dartmoor lodge was the first venue we looked at and Di recommended we view a few to be sure so that we did. After viewing different venues it just made the decision to choose the Dartmoor lodge even easier. We booked our wedding 2.5 years in advance so we had a long build up. Throughout this time Di checked in just to say hello and we often visited for lunch which never fail to disappoint. … Myself and my husband are both so relaxed and unorganised so having someone has organised as Di was incredible. She really did take care of everything. Di, Trevor and all the team all went above and beyond to ensure we had the most special day. I can’t thank you enough for all the effort you put into our day. We really had the best day of our lives and that would t of been possible with out you. Thank-you for everything. Mr and Mrs Bright.

We stopped for coffee and a hot milk, l usually get served half a cup of warm milk but yay, they served me a full cup of 'hot' milk. Priced reasonably and a lovely place, would definitely stay here. Very clean. Friendly, accommodating staff.

Went here for the Sunday carvery. Service was good but it lacked atmosphere and the food was underwelming. Good for hungry families.

We popped in here for a bite to eat and were chuffed to find they had some nice veggie options. The butternut squash and grilled Mediterranean veg burger was so good we went back for more the following week. Staff were quite friendly and made us feel welcome. Lovely outdoor seating and dogs welcome inside too!

Lovely carvery. A lovely restaurant, able to cater for large groups. A little old fashioned but lovely.

Stayed here for 28 days. Rooms was large and well decorated. Room was cleaned everyday and always topped up the coffee and tea. The staff are exceptional and couldn't do more for you. The food is a good standard. There carvery is lovely with a good section of me and and veg. The breakfast is lovely freshly cooked and good selection of non hot goodies to try. Overall the best stay I have had in a long while and the view of Dartford is lovely. Good stay at a reasonable rate.

Best hospitality I've ever experienced! We where snowed in with no power or phones etc but everybody here did everything they could to make it a very pleasant stay! Thoroughly recommend, you won't be treated better anywhere else!

I found the reception staff not to be very friendly. However other staff seemed very friendly. The hotel itself was generally clean although the decor and furniture somewhat tired and in need of a refreshing and replacing. The bar area had a lovely fireplace which we enjoyed. The food in the restaurant was good… a lovely carvery. Breakfast was also good. The room was clean and of a very good size. Plenty of space. The bathroom was also clean with a good sized shower. The usual tea and coffee was available. The bed was very comfortable. The corridor has the brightest light which shone through under the door so the room was not in complete darkness which disturbed my sleep a bit. Otherwise a good stay.

A lovely feel to the pub. Seems to welcome family and footballers alike. Serves many of the local beers.

Great venue for a meeting. Food provided was great. Coffee could have been better.

Great restaurant and b & b. Staff very pleasant, and nothing too much effort. Had a great weekend and would return next time in the area.

Went for lunch on Sunday. If you like carvery, you'll be happy. For me, there was a disappointing lack of alternatives. Something like a burger was missing from the menu. They do give big portions at reasonable prices. Good service from staff. Nice interior decor. Easy to access though the car park space wasnt well utilised and some people struggled to find a spot at peak time.

We stayed for one night on the murder and mystery night, every thing was set very nicely,, the meal was good, the room was nice, and the staff were lovely.

Not sure about the food seems to be a bit hit and miss going there in about a month so will see what it is like then.

Very friendly staffand great food. Went here with rmthe whole family for Christmas meal and had one of the best carverys I've had for a long time. There is also a function room and rooms to stay in but my visit was only for lunch. I bet it would be a great place to stay being near Dartmoor country park.

Really great place… the staff are wonderful… they always give my dog a biscuit and he is always welcome… the food is excellent… and the rooms are very comfortable… just fab all round…

Love it. Food excellent especially Tuesday night curry and staff are professional and friendly. And dogs are welcome in areas of this beautiful place. I highly recommend it.

Lovely restaurant and very popular. Always book to avoid disappointment. Carvery is fantastic and good quality. I never need look at the pudding menus afterwards.

Wow what a place, owned by an amazing couple, who helped create the perfect day for me and my now wife. We haven't stopped going back since. Great food, the bedrooms are comfy and they have thought of every little amenity. Highly recommend!

A stop at the services led to a lovely surprise to find this lovely lodge with excellent food and reasonably priced. Staff were great and the restaurant was very well presented.

Just stopped off for a quick WC break. Ended up having a cooked breakfast for 3! Never stopped here before but defiantly will again. The breakfast was excellent value, good quality, quick and the staff are really friendly and helpful. This place is a little gem!

Very nice dining room and we'll presented, knowledgeable staff. Had the carvery which was very nice. Only thing was it would be handy if steak knives were provided as the beef was hard to cut with an ordinary knife.

The Dartmoor Lodge Hotel is an amazing place to stay overnight or even just to have a meal. I stopped there and had a delicious carvery. It was incredibly good food considering the price.

Great service, very friendly and helpful staff, rooms are excellent and the food is fantastic. Especially the breakfast and Sunday carver. Also has and excellent selection of well kept real ales! They also do great wedding packages.
