Great Sunday dinner yesterday, choice of Beef, Pork or Chicken. The veg was great, meat top quality. If we were here for longer than a week we would be back next weekend for Carvery again! We are going to try squeeze a lunch in later this week, to see if the usual menu is as good as the Sunday lunch.

Service excellent food really good. Highly recommend. Will definitely return.

We very much enjoyed our meal at The Weary Ploughman which has been extensively updated since I was last there 30 years ago! There is a very welcoming feel, the background music is of good quality and not too loud or too quiet, the food was very enjoyable. The menu a bit confusing and would have liked more fish choices but what we chose was very tasty, good value and good portion size and very nicely presented. Full restaurant on a Wed night which was great, and pleasant and good service by all staff. Would recommend if in the area and I look forward to going back when in Devon myself.

Just had the most delicious food. Sunday lunch & cheesecake & lemon posset. omg. For great food and exceptional service visit. Love supporting local places we were visiting and can't fault. 10 put of 10

Food was ok think the prices are a little over inflated for what the menu was. Nice atmosphere.

The location is easy to get too off the main road with good parking. Dining area is really nice with a wood burner and the menu caters for everyone. Was a very nice visit.

What a beautiful restuarant the food is second to none and the portions are very generous and the staff are so attentive nothing is to much trouble. We love it there and we introduced our friends to it when they came down from the West Midlands. If you've not been before its highly recommended.

We ordered our food and 20min later we were told that the chef wasn't happy about the mussels, fair enough seeing as they are fresh and no-one wants dodgy mussels. However 15min after reordering we were told that there wasn't any steak left. Eventually we got our food and it was worth the wait, the chips were especially nice. The staff were very helpful so I'd give the place the benefit of the doubt and would go back again if we were in the area.

Popped in for a few drinks for a birthday. Massive selection of gins (58 on time of visit). Landlord was very knowledgeable and advised on a good selection based on our preferences and suggested tonics to accompany.

I love this place. The food is always fresh and the service first class. Whenever we're in Brixham we always make a detour for this place whether it's for a quiet drink outside or a meal. Thoroughly recommend this place.

We were late getting here. 11pm The manager rang us. Nothing was too much trouble. And sooooooo many different gins in the bar. Even though the bar was closed he still made us a drink to take to our room. Room was very spacious and bed was comfy. Perfect end to a hellish journey.

We had a nice big room which was clean and well furnished. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was freshly cooked and first class.

Friendly and helpful staff. Did not eat there but the menu looks to have good, wholesome pub fare. Rooms at a reasonable price too.

Been coming to the Weary Ploughman for a number of years now and it's always above excellent, we recommend it to everyone, the staff are always very friendly and helpful, the food is second to none.

Went on a bit of a nostalgia trip last night and end up in the The Weary Ploghman. I remember it from the days when it was run by the Don and Dave and Cream County used to be on at weekends. We had a meal in there last night and it was stunning staff very friend and help full. The food was so GOOD it was out of this world will be going tomorrow night.

Somewhat expensive pints but the interior and exterior is lovely and staff are very welcoming.

My friend and I thought we'd give this pub a try as haven't been for years. Well what a good idea that turned out to be. We were simply amazed at the extent of the lunchtime menu. Neither of us are vegetarian but both ended up having two lovely veggie meals. At just £9.95 each they were wonderful. I have never had a vegetarian scotch egg nor had my friend … beat a meat one I can tell you. The staff were friendly and courteous and we both look forward to returning. 5star.

Food was good, service a bit slow but it looked like only two people where serving so they were a bit rushed but still very polite.

Service was quite good, food portions could have been bit bigger and the menus should be presented better. The food looked brilliant and tasted lovely aswell.

This is a hidden gem. Called in whilst searching for somewhere to eat near Paignton. The staff were very welcoming, the atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. It is very child friendly also. I would thoroughly recommend this pub to anybody. A real treat.

Can't wait to go back, when we're on holiday next year.
