Lovely hotel, the service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.

Staying for 1 night only, staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Booked in for an evening meal and the food was stunning. Best steak I've had in ages. Room is great with a massive bath tub in the bathroom. Recommend staying here anytime. Will visit again. Full marks.

Amazing hotel. Booking. Com cancelled my booking but the hotel made sure I still had a room and matched the price. The food was amazing and the accommodation was 1st class. I would definately recommend this hotel 100%

Amazing… staff, food and room. Perfect all round. Huge thanks to Conner, Tom, Amiee, and Jacob. These are the staff that were present during our stay. They consistently went above and beyond during our break away. You have truly remarkable hotel and staff that truly compliment your establishment.

Stayed here overnight with my family for the Illuminations. We had a double room and family room. Clean rooms. Lovely fresh bedding and towels. Staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast choice was nice. Not too far to walk into Matlock Bath itself.
Would definitely return here.

Highly recommended hotel. The location is beautiful and watching the sun set against the High Tor cliff is amazing. The service we experienced from both Connor and Amy was 5 star standard and truly cannot wait to return.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect place, the double bath was stunning. The porter Connor was always on hand and so helpful for recommendations. Will be returning again for sure.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely location, however the selling point has to be the service we received. We were warmly greeted by Amy and Connor, who were both professional, welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they are a true credit to the High Tor Hotel. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place in picturesque Derbyshire with comfortable and well presented guest rooms with sleek bathroom facilities and high tech power showers, cosy bar and restaurant with a very good selection from traditional hearty English menu. One remarkable detail — outstanding hospitality! Hotel staff were very accommodating, helpful, attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask. Superb service! Many thanks to Connor, Graham and the rest of the team for making our weekend away so special.

Good service but in our opinion, the rooms were tiny for the price we paid.

Lovely hotel and staff. Only a few down points, shower was poor but worked fine, no top up on tea and coffee or clean cups as we stayed a couple of days and TV was a bit small especially being wall mounted (Not that we went to watch TV so very minor point! )

I booked this hotel just for a night for my boyfriend's birthday as he's always liked a trip to Matlock. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly lady (apologies but I don't remember her name! ) who was more than accommodating. She showed us to our absolutely beautiful room and was then serving drinks at the bar later on. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend for its location and friendly atmosphere.

Very nice and cosy hotel. Room was very cosy, clean and spacious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is perfectly located, about 20 min walk to Matlock and Matlock Bath. Hotel offers an access to free Wi-Fi and the well equipped bar. Highly recommended place!

This is quite a nice hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are just a little ill thought out (tiny sink meant for a cloakroom, where there is plenty of space for a proper sink. Tiny TV mounted miles away from where you sit, blinds that don't block out the light will be awful in summer, no coat hooks) or starting to show signs of wear. (wobbly floor tiles, toilet seat didn't stay up). Other wise a very nice place in a nice location.

This hotel is beautiful, very cosy and comfortable with fantastic facilities. The view from our room is gorgeous and the location is fantastic. The gentleman who greeted us was incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

Nice hotel. 5 minute walk to Matlock shops. Rooms are nice, however on this visit we were allocated a tiny room despite stating we had two children. Luckily we had family whereby we could switch rooms. Someone obviously not thinking clearly upon booking. Our 2nd visit to this hotel and overall I would recommend, despite the fact we will prob book elsewhere next year. Def worth a visit at least once.

Lovely clean place, friendly staff, good restaurant.

This is our little escape to hotel. Gorgeous setting, rooms are comfy, good showers and staff are great. We had the bar opened when we got back and weren't rushed at all to go to bed even tho it was late. Lovely boutique feel to it, and in the middle of the 2 ends of town. Bout 1/2 a mile to either end.

Set in such in scenic surroundings with fantastic view of rocks, where they is wonderful walks to challenge you! Also with Matlock historical town just down the road! The hotel manager is full of helpful suggestions and his willing staff are so friendly!
