Terrible experience today and not for the first time so todays visit will be the last. Food was not very tasty and service was dismal. On making the booking requested not to be near the door. I wanted a warm spot to enjoy a cosy Sunday lunch. Rude staff when we found out we had been out near the door. Lady serving us asked a colleague if she could move us baring in mind at the time of our arrival the pub was practically empty. The colleague said “ there not near the door and there’s a radiator” so we sat down and to be fair the radiator was on for once so wasn’t too cold. The food however was terrible and for the new prices it was completely over priced rubbish. Such a lovely pub that could be amazing however they clearly rely on non repeat business. Tourists or People from out the area who are visiting just for the day. Have a bad experience however it doesn’t matter too much as they wouldn’t be regulars anyway. We have tried this place out a few times in the hope there may have been improvements. No more though. Waste of time and money.

Over 45 minute wait for food that was barely hot when it arrived. Quality of food not as expected either. Nearly £50 for just two main courses and non alcoholic drinks. Absolutely substandard. Would not recommend. Will not visit again.

Cold food, poor service and unwelcoming staff, the place is nice but absolutely freezing we had to keep our coats on the whole time! Half the menu was unavailable this was at lunchtime 12! When our food came the soup was lukewarm, but nobody around to tell so we just left it, I had the chicken kebab it had 2 pieces of chicken on and 1 slice of onion and 1 mushroom. The salad was brown. It was stone cold! My husband had a burger which he said was cold and dry but we had waited for over an hour for this we were starving and just wanted to eat and go! Wouldn’t recommend, won’t return!
