Had a lovely 2 night break to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, we had a warm welcome with tea and cake on arrival. Excellent breakfast with a variety of choices, good quality ingredients and served in a friendly manner. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely overnight stay in this beautiful guest house, spotlessly clean, excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Stayed in a stunning premier room overlooking the park. Breakfast was amazing quality, freshly cooked and served in the beautiful dining room, again overlooking the park.

Lovely B&B! Just returned after 2 nights away with my husband & 4month old baby for our 9th wedding anniversairy. We stayed in the family room which had a lovely view of the park & church. We were greeted with with fresh coffee & slices of lemon drizzle cake — which was fab after travelling. The room itself was spotless & had a travel cot provided. Breakfast was wonderful, my husband had a cooked breakfast whilst I enjoyed the blueberry pancakes which made a nice change from the usual veggie options. The B&B is walking distance to Matlock centre, where there is plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes etc, there's also a great play park a stones throw away. Chatsworth house is close by which is a great day out, discounted tickets through the B&B are available which is great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend to family & friends!

Excellent service and a lovely room is something that will be found in Grendon Guest House. Everything is as good as you might expect and better. Well done everyone involved.

We stayed for one night in the family room with our 2 boys this was our second visit we love this little gem… after a long day at gullivers the tea and cake were very welcome
Breakfast was amazing
Not a criticism but some background music in the dining room and sitting room would be nice. Perhaps a radio… we love the traditional touches tablecloths cup and saucers sugar cubes and tongs etc… it's a dying tradition for some but we appreciate all the effort you guys do to keep this alive… p. S the kids loved jasper.

Many of our leathercraft workshop attendees have stayed here and thoroughly recommend the high standard of the rooms and breakfast and the helpfulness of the staff.

We LOVED our stay at Glendon Guest House. Really welcoming, friendly and amenable with lovely rooms and breakfasts — way better than a hotel. We actually got engaged while staying here and the hosts were just lovely. Now not just a beautiful B&B to us but also a very special place that will be returning to for a long long time. A beautiful guest house, immaculately decorated and extremely well furnished. My wife and I had the four poster room and we were not disappointed, everything you need for a luxury stay was there. The rooms were fantastic, the hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful, they have extensive knowledge of the house itself and the local area. We will be booking to come back again as soon as we can. by far the best weekend away my wife have ever had. If I could give it six stars I would! The breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of food to suit all tastes. Fresh fruit cereal and many cooked options from a traditional English breakfast to fresh blueberry pancakes. Most of the food is locally sourced, so you know your getting the finest ingredients to make the most delicious food.
