Loved the hotel, food amazing, not sure about the do it yourself breakfast that takes a long time and going back and forth to do tea and coffee. But it's well laid out and alot of choice, but put your plate down and its quickly removed they want you in and out quickly. The staff are so friendly and they work so hard to look after you. We had a hot tub room, 105, there should be a warning given over coming back into the room because it gets so slippy, and yes I had a fall, luckily I didn't go through the glass doors. The room was amazing, no bottled water like we normally expect in a hotel, no welcome pack either, so had no idea how to contact reception. The hot tub cover is so heavy to lift off, we had to go down and ask reception to place it back on. The bathroom is basic, the shower terrible, I cut my leg on the glass door, once again a trip to reception because we had no idea how to contact them, blue plaster later … Evening meal, in a dark restaurant, they like to pack visitors in especially at breakfast you sit crammed in shoulder to shoulder, the evening meal was lovely, but take a reading light or torch to read the menu. It's a really lovely hotel in a very good position, would I go again, … Yes, would I book at hot tub room, … Not that one. When I booked the room I told them I had mobility issues and they said everything would be fine. But I think I've given a honest opinion of our stay, but when go to the lakes every hotel is different, Another thing that could be changed is those daft plastic pots of butter, nightmare lol. To the staff thank you so much, you work so hard.
