9 Off us went to Townhouse. 211 to celebrate dads 50th last night 2 meals were sent back we never do this but my sons burger, daughter inlaw to be steak was sour the burger was horrendous, mine and Lisha Highs weren't great at £32.50 each for fillet and sauce. We never even looked at the sweet menu I was gutted. They deducted 1 steak and burger which we were happy with it's embarrassing having to complain but during the night 3 of people have ended up sick / Diarrhoea so phoned I was very polite but he said it was unusal and they were busy last night so don't go for a meal if busy but point is if you bought a TV ect for £245 and it was faulty you would take it back and get a new one just didn't seem bothered. I never do this but I thought I would as they didn't seem to care we have had lovely meals there in the past but won't be going back it was very disappointing especially for a 50th celebration.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in a private booth to celebrate our anniversary. Our waitress Grace was very attentive and helpful, nothing was too much for her. We would definitely dine here again.

Food overpriced and not enough of it. Halloumi burger and chips. 15 chips to be precise. A dry brioche bun with 2 slices of fried halloumi on. Nothing else. A bit of side salad and I mean a bit. Complained about lack of chips. They offered 20% off burger! and we had to pay £3.50 for more chips. No site of the manger when I asked to see him. Probably fed up of complaints. Left his apologetic staff to sort it out.

I stayed in this place, it was OK. However do not park in their car park. I was padlocked in and there is no one to answer the phone. I had to call the police. Absolute disgrace.

Lovely food, fabulous surroundings, good value… and they have Pepsi! Perfect!

Absolutely stunning place! We came in for a few drinks over Christmas and it was beautiful. So nice to have a classy pub in town. Which caters for all. Well done the townhouse x.

I went to the Spanish Food & Wine night on 17th September with a friend. The food was amazing! I have been previously and thought the food was ok but this was something special. Also they had wine to match each course and it certainly did.

Stunning surroundings, good service.
Lager prices are fair for what you get.
Also does good food and reasonable priced with good offers.

We visited the townhouse this weekend and was shocked at how bad the service was. We were there for nearly 3 hours and only managed to have one drink with our meal due to the lack of service to our table. The food was ok but my pizza was soggy, we had no check on our table to see if we were happy with it and when I asked for another drink when our food arrived, I was told they had to get someone else to come take my drink order then nobody ever came. They seemed to be interested in serving the group of girls and lads who where just drinking. The covid guidance is not being adhered too here, I think all of the staff bar 2 wore a mask however had it as chin strap the whole time including the woman who served us our food! Then there were plenty of customers walking around with no masks on and not being told otherwise. We finally managed to get someones attention to get the bill a few hours later still after only having one drink! (we had given up by then and was ready to go some place else) we got given the bill then again were left to and nobody attended to us and again had to make our way to the bar (where we should not get service) just to be able to pay our bill and leave! I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Just been townhouse in barrow and food was lovely staff very friendly and helpfull definitely recommend.

I had a cofirmed booking. When we arrived there was no booking for us for 6-00pm. After a debate we were seated & menus given 20mins later no drinks no food order taken. Very poor service im afraid. Will not be returning or recommending.

Had my second fab meal in 3 weeks tonight for my hubby’s birthday treat! Food was excellent as always, really impressed with the COVID situation dealing with it fab making customers feel safe, very friendly staff ive had the same lady twice now, I think she is Spanish (not to be rude I hope she Spanish) she is so friendly feel like I’ve known her forever she’s so lovely! Thankyou once again The Townhouse for a lovely night.

Table service is nonexistent. Too slow. Need more staff. Selective tables only get served.

Obviously yes we went on the government eat out promotion.
But I would definitely have paid the full price so will be visiting the Townhouse again Only thing I would criticise there was no hand gel in the dispensers. I tried 3 as we was shown to our table, but not to worry had some in our pockets.

Absolutely gorgeous meal again tonight, steak was perfect and service was excellent.

Very slow service. Took ages for plates took away. No one asked if we wanted any desserts. No one asked if everything was ok. Brought 4 sets of cutlery instead of 5. Waited 25 mins for the bill to be brought over. Never again.

Stayed here twice now and I'm sure we'll stay over again some time in the future. The rooms are brilliant, you could not ask for more. Love the design and decor. Restaurant is stylish, food is good and varied, all staff are friendly. Finally thank you to the manager for your kind gesture, from the occupants of Room 1 (Jan 4th 2020).

We had our work Christmas party here. The food was delicious and the young blonde bar man worked very hard bringing our drinks. Great music. Highly recommend.

One of the best places in Barrow for a hangover breakfast. Also their evening menu and offers throughout the week are well priced!

Nice lunch. It does take time to arrive but it's all cooked from fresh so that's fine by me. Friendly staff. if you want fast food go to Macdonalds.

Met with friends here for lunch today, service was very slow, staff not helpful at all, food not as nice as was expecting! Won’t be returning in a hurry.

Ok food, terrible service. We arrived around 11am on Sunday for breakfast, and were seated straight away in a fairly quiet restaurant. We ordered drinks, a lemonade and a coffee. The lemonade came straight away but we waited around 10 minutes for the coffee and then a further 10 minutes for milk. When they finally returned to take our food order, my partner specifically asked whether the full breakfast came with two pieces of toast, to which the server replied that it did. When the food arrived however, it only came with one and we had to order more toast, for which we were charged extra. My eggs Benedict had clearly been sat for some time whilst the full breakfast was being cooked, as the bagel and gammon were both cold. My partner did enjoy the full breakfast though, saying that it was very fresh and not greasy, as we have found at other breakfast restaurants.

A real find in lowly Barrow. Great food and cocktails at a good price, in really lovely decor. Clean and feels upmarket. Excellent.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it's very upmarket and always feels warm and welcoming, it's usually rather busy and the staff are friendly. There's a wide selection of drinks and if able to, the bar staff will make any cocktail you desire with a wide selection already available to purchase straight out of the menu, although some drinks are a little costly you expect this as it isn't the usual pub atmosphere you find in Barrow. The food has however some things to be desired, the portion sizes are small compared to the price you pay and the taste isn't full of flavour and rich. It seems like they've spent a good amount of time on the drinks hoping you'll miss what they've added to the menu and drown the flavours out than actually tasting the food. We went as a group of 8 and things were added to the menu which we didn't order, we also missed out on deals which weren't accredited, drinks were added to the order but weren't delivered to the table and it wasn't extremely busy, if anything it was half full. The bill was corrected but if you'd been drinking at a rate that made you not look twice you'd easily be out of pocket. I'd definitely recommend here for food and a couple of cocktails but make sure you pay before going to the bar area to sample the cocktail menu or you might find out you've paid more than you bargained!

Customer Service very poor. When I book a table I expect the table to be available at the time it is booked and not have to wait and the service at the tables very slow with us waiting 50 minutes to get the starter. Too many customers and not enough staff along with overbooking results in the above. Food was fine when we got it but all portions very large. First time here and the poor customer service will make me think twice about rushing to book again which is a pity as the venue is nice and the whole experience could have been so much better.

The restaurant is modern and appealing, and there is a good range of drinks from the bar. The menu is varied and prices are reasonable. Upon arrival, we hadn't booked and a slight song and dance was made about this, we had to wait while they checked if there was room to take a table of 4. Upon finding a table, we noticed that most were empty around us but were heavily advised to book next time. The service takes a slightly longer than I would expect but the food was good when it arrived. Worth a visit!

As I am a coeliac I find it difficult to actually find places to accommodate my dietary needs. I was able to enjoy a meal. Of pasta also they did sell a gluten free bottle of lager which I enjoyed. However they do not have a great selection for a coeliac and virtually no desserts. The actual place itself is very modern and comfortable with attentive staff.

Very nice decor, food was of a good standard, the cost of drinks are ridiculously high for a working class-town though.

Lovely ambience and friendly staff. Plenty of car parking at the back of the place, within 2 min walk. For me the one thing missing on the menu is a mouth-watering salad plate, and through the day the volume for the music could be turned down a little, so it'd be easier to hear one's conversation — then that would be worth 5 stars from me.

Popped in for cocktails on a night out — the gin menu is vast & brilliant as caters for all different types of flavours! Gets very busy of a weekend but lovely inside & very modern decor.

Wide range of drinks and tasty food, with reasonably priced cocktails. Great atmosphere and decor — one of the nicest evening venues in Barrow!

Good surroundings. Lovely staff and fabulous food. Fresh, hot, and lovely flavours. Our 3rd visit and shall certainly visit again.
