Took all the family and dog down in February and it is a fantastic location. Walks on the beach and breakfast overlooking the bay…… couldn’t ask for more. Thanks for having us…. See again soon.

Absolutely fabulous hotel that made our wedding just perfect! The staff were incredible and went above and beyond to make our day run smoothly (even babysitting a grumpy newborn who decided they didn’t want to be part of the ceremony, thank you so much Liz and Amanda). The food was fantastic which everyone praised. Huge thank you to Dan for running around all day and keeping us on time. And a massive thank you to Tom for serving a very merry wedding party all evening.

Last day here today after a 7 day holiday staying bed and breakfast lovely hotel very clean and covid safe staff brilliant especially Amanda in Sixty restaurant made a real effort with our daughter who wasn’t a fan of boats but remembered we was going to try a boat trip asking her the next day how she got on, food for breakfast great lots of choice had evening meals couple of days also good nothing was to much trouble for staff nice location really don’t have anything bad to say highly recommend and will definitely be back we had a family room and this was a great size and very comfortable beds, managed to park every night with no problems top tip if you do park on the yellow lines move your car before 7am we have seen a few people get a ticket the man comes at 7am on the dot!

Staff were always very helpful and friendly, have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, especially since the easing of restrictions. Hope to be back when the gym and pool are reopened after the storm damage they have had. Bistro was also pleasantly surprising with beautiful presentation and tasty food. Highly recommend and hope to be back soon.

Dog friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Nice room. Had the best breakfast and steak meal ever. Such a relaxed hotel. Been to Newquay 18 times stayed in some dives. This was excellent.

Good food but service was poor and staff miserable. Making people wear masks to walk 5 metres yet basic hygiene standards were lacking — sticky tables no loo roll in ladies toilets. Would not recommend.

Lovely food in the bistro but miserable and unhelpful staff, would not come again.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. A comfortable 2 nights for myself and my 3 teens with an adjoining double & twin family room with a sea view. Booking a slot for the swimming pool and having it to ourselves was a lovely added (covid restrictions) treat.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay at this Hotel! Staff we’re extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room had a great view of Fistral Beach, really comfy beds as well as a clean and comfortable room which catered to all of our needs. The food was tasty, fresh and nicely presented along with the waiting staff who were attentive, professional and cheerful! Thank you for a lovely stay Pentire Hotel you were fab!

Rooms are nice and clean, the staff are friendly and polite. Nothing is to much trouble for them. The food is superb, and the bar prices are very good. All in all a great place to stay.

Great cuisine with typical Cornish dishes. The staff are very courteous and polite. Very spartan room accommodation. The entire structure has wooden floors and stairs that undergo a slight deformation at the passage.

Nice hotel, food great, rooms nice, some with views of fiscal beach, friendly staff, only downside, if you have no car, limited bus services, but local taxes great value.

Small and old room, at dinner the waiter ignored us taking the order of others arrived after us. When the food arrives, the Pos also takes us to preauthorize the payment. Wait until it's over!? To the face of trust. At 9 in the morning, open windows hear a noise and we find the handle with the built-in sponge of the attendant who was cleaning the windows of the 1 floor! I've never seen anything like it.

My husband and I stayed here from 9th to the 13th July on a Just Go coach tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and stay at the hotel. We had a seaview room n the second floor which was nice with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water at all times. Great view of the bay within walking distance of the town centre. We had lovely food with buffet and cooked breakfast which was plentiful and 3 course evening menu which was brilliant and special thanks to Alison, our waitress who always went that extra mile in order to help and please everybody such an outstanding worker. We had 3 nightsof entertainment and they were all very good. All in all a good hotel with lovely staff, food and wonderful views.

Been back in Scotland 24 hours now after an amazing week at the Pentire Hotel, we were part of the Caledonian Travel Coach party but we opted to do our own thing rather than the day trips, was great to see some familiar faces from previous visits and some new faces this time round, weather was roasting hot so it was great to cool off in the pool then sit outside to dry off lol, our room was rear facing with a view over the Fistral Beach and of course our residential seagull was there to greet us lol, our room was spacious and airy and serviced every day, felt like it had a new mattress and pillows on our bed it was nice and comfortable even though we slept on top due to the heat! The staff as always, smiling and chatty, food was first class, plenty to choose from and vegetarian dishes available also, before we left for our journey home we have already decided we will be back next year, it can't come quick enough. Worth more than 5 stars.

A great hotel. Me and my now wife had our wedding reception here. We booked the venue over a year ago and found both Daniel and Lisa very easy to contact and deal with, together they made the most hectic day of our life as easy as they could. The food was a very high standard and the room we stayed in very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for a wedding reception to anyone.

The staff were very friendly, but the Sea View room we booked was very small and very hot. The building is quite old and in desperate need to be updated! The roomgot very warm so in the night of summer would be very uncomfortable as there is no Air Conditioning. The breakfast was sparse, no fresh fruit or orange juice and they kept running out of coffee and bread, which in a hotel should never happen. As far as the dinner was concerned, one of the days menu was dreadful, something that you would find in a Nursing Home! Newquay is beautiful and will definitely visit again, but not in this hotel.

Me and my mum have just got back from staying a week here in the pentire hotel. This hotel was lovely although it could do with a little modernizing/updating. Despite the room been a little small it was still pleasant enough for our stay here. Overall what makes this hotel is the staff. The staff where truely amazing they went out of their way to make your stay welcoming and satisfying and they were all absolulty brilliant. The meals where lovely too along with the breakfast in the morning you where given plenty of choice. This hotel does pull out all the stops and no matter what they make sure that you have enjoyed your stay. If I was to visit Newquay in the future I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Food very good with more than few options to choose all day log. Rooms comfortable, access to pool pretty much all day.

Excellent hotel! Friendly, efficient, service. Friendly waitresses in the dining room, crackin' meals, well cooked. Thoroughly recommended.

A little out of the center of town but a 10 minute walk from the beach of Fistral. The facilities are good and the price is Economical.

Disappointed overall The smallest family room I have ever seen, really noisy bathroom fan, outdated furniture, rusty fittings in the bathroom, wobbly shower doors, cold side of the building. We stayed in room 202, please avoid! The breakfast was disappointing, full English breakfast… joking right? One dry fried egg on toast, one skinny sausage, one slice of soggy bacon, a warm half tomato-not edible, one mushroom and a small pot of baked beans. My 9 year daughter was still hungry when we left the restaurant after breakfast, not enough choices and not very good quality either…

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, really good breakfast. Pool just the right temperature. Beds very comfortable, would recommend.

There is a theme running through a lot of reviews. Staff friendly but food very average. Bar staff never seem to be around and the Sixty restaurant staff need more training. My wife's meal was cold and mine over cooked. Rooms are comfortable. If you are eating out (recommended) try the Bowgie Inn at Crantock. 10 minutes by car. Great food!

Went to Vicky the hairdresser there she's very good. I have had physio and a massage there, both were again very good.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, room lovely and clean. Food good my only negative comments would be cleaning stuff in corridors making it awkward to maneuver and bits of flaky paint on the corridor floors. But really enjoyed my visit.

Clean and reasonably well refurbished. Rooms are warm but bar and restaurant we're not. Bar and reception staff friendly and food was good albeit they cater for a value crowd however dinner was good albeit a bit oily for fish and. Chips — A good range of beer and one superb real ale so full marks there. The hotel has a lift and parking Albeit tight. Breakfast was a bad experience with nearly 45mins elapsed before we finally got served but quality was good. The staff appeared to be run off there feet. Evening entertainment was a guy with a guitar and cheesy backing however was vocally awesome so we enjoyed it. We tried to order massage (a real one not a dodgy one! ) did not get any response so £80 saved but disappointed as it was the first time we ever tried this in a hotel. The Steam room was also closed. We will try the pool later so may update this review. The location is good for the beach but a stiff and very doable walk into town.

Needs a little maintenance but the cleanliness of the hotel was superb. Staff were so helpful and happy to be working there. You couldn't fault the food. Plenty of it and made so well. Loved it and would go back again.

We work with the Pentire Hotel providing our Disco & Photo booth services for parties, but today we did our 1st Wedding there.
I must say it was an absolute pleasure.
We've done a lot of Weddings at a lot of Venues but it was refreshing to see a Hotel really putting there Wedding couple 1st & pulling off the day flawlessly.
The staff are friendly & helpful & it's clear to see there's a great team in place.
The Ceremony room was draped beautifully & downstairs worked so well as a "self contained" private space for the evening entertainment with room for the Disco, the photo booth, it's own bar & room for Children to play.
I would HIGHLY recommend the Pentire Hotel for any couples wanting to marry in Newquay. Ami from Cornwall Parties.

Excellent value for money. Don't exist too much but great for the price. Lots of good, helpful staff, nice enough facilities. Not too many kids. Enjoyed my stay.

Just arrived back from a long weekend at this hotel with just go holidays. From start to finish we really enjoyed it. Our coach driver John was very nice explained the whole journey every time we got on the coach. The hotel was good with entertainment every night. Good food. The only downside of my holiday was the pillows they are like rocks. Also the dining room hasn't enough staff they are running around all the time and I think the man's name was Pete he really needs to slow down he will have a heart attack he cannot work like that it's not good for your health.

Excellent service from all staff members. Good choice for breakfast and good service in the bar from Tom. The bar was good but cold in evenings. Our room was cold in evenings despite red hot radiator. Overall a great place to stay and we enjoyed our break.

Restaurant sixty very nice and hotel staff friendly unfortunately that's the positives. The Hotel is old and in need of drastic maintenance last night I slept in a room in which tiles was missing in the bathroom the mattress was terrible, and room was sub standard. Not impressed would of been better staying at a Travelodge. Do not come here for a romantic relaxing break as you will not get it here! …

We are local people and we have been using the swimming pool complex for many years. It is a lovely warm pool with a Turkish steam room. The hotel has a loyalty card so you swim four times and get the fifth swim free! We would recommend this hotel to everyone, It is immaculately clean and the staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful. Sixty Bistro is a great place to eat with a menu that suits all.

I used the services of Fringe hair salon. It is situated in a lovely peaceful environment. I went for a drastic change and am very happy with it. The hotel was easy to find.

Popular hotel situated close to Fistrel beach. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice swimming pool although too deep for children who are not confident swimmers. Room okay, but nothing special. A bigger bed would be nice. A few quirks with the place like the boiling hot shower in the pool changing rooms and cold ones by the pool. Also no starter or dessert offering for the children's set menu seems very peculiar when both are on the adult menu. However neither would be allowed to spoil an otherwise pleasant stay. We enjoyed the comedian magic man evening entertainment immensely.

Rooms are nice and clean. Only a double bed though! Staff are helpful. Pool is great. The hotel is located just off the south end of fistral beach. Easy to walk to but a bit of a hill involved.

It was overpriced. I wasn't impressed by our room. Some of the rooms with the sea view were nice but ours was very outdated. The pool is nice to come back to in the evenings.

The hotel itself was lovely, great location and facilities. However the restaurant really let it down, staff were rude and inattentive at dinner and breakfast. The breakfast menu wasn't explained to us that we'd have to order certain things other than hot food, after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to come to the table we were abruptly asked if we wanted to order hot food — no mention of any hot drinks or other food 'we were suppose to order'. I wouldn't recommend eating in the restaurant or paying the prices for what's given.

Went to the Pentire hotel to use the swimming pool with my 3 year old son and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. Pool area very clean and tidy and love the buy 4 swims get 5th free stamp card. Would highly recommend.

6 Nice Cons: The room window did not open, which is not very important because better closed than open, but it would have been better if it could have been opened. The shower did not swallow too fast and the water did not come out very hot. In the sink there was not a single handle, which would have also been more comfortable.

PROS: Value for money. This accommodation has no luxury but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Decided to try the pool as a non resident. Staff very helpful and my children had a great time.

I found the hotel comfortable, clean and the food is of a good standard. I had no complaints about the food or service. Staff were great. Am going back to the hotel on Sunday for a week.

I can't speak about the rooms as we didn't stay here, but I went for a drink with a friend as it was close to our apartment. We downed our pints as quickly as we could and left. My friend described it as a 'knifing shed. ' Weird bar staff, weird customers. On a more objective note the drink selection and quality is terrible and the décor is dirty and in serious need of renovation. Avoid.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. First night was a nightmare as other guests staying had their TV on loud until 01:30 and then other guests returning to their rooms drunk at 02:30 with doors slamming so not much sleep at all. However 2nd night slept well as inconsiderate guests had checked out. Unfortunately rooms are NOT sound proofed and are dated.

Amazing hotel situated on the edge of newquay. Facilities are great ie swimming pool and steam room. Food in the restaurant is so tasty and a deal is £10 for a 3 course meal is outstanding value. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are cheerful and so helpful. Overall our stay was amazing and definitely going back.

Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Small double room perfect for my purpose ; small but didn't feel cramped. Modern bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast.

Awful hotel, rooms were filthy and crowded with cheap furniture. No hot water, long walk into/back from town. Rude staff. On the last day they barged into our room and demanded we leave within 15mins — they then charged our card £300 for cleaning the room. Kept referring to T&Cs yet refused to give us a copy or breakdown of the cost.

I stayed with some freinds at the Offshore for a week last June, all the staff were really friendly (except for one guy who was a bit miserable) and the owner was always freindly (he even drove us all into town at night). We took 2 surf lessons each which they discounted as there were 12 of us, the surf instructors were great really made the experience memrobale, the next couple of days they hired us all the equipment for £5 each!. Only let down was one of the rooms we were in needed decorating (hence 4stars sorry guys) but to be honest we were only in there to sleep as we spent most of the day in the bar or in the huge beer garden.
