What's not to like! Old traditional English pub just how you would imagine. Good ale, nice food, good gift shop. Staff pleasant enough. Great pit stop.

Great variety of local ales and largers and great, but slightly overpriced, food. We had a nice time.

Stopped off at Jamaica Inn for dinner whist travelling back from Cornwall. My boys wanted to see the ghost! Unfortunatley they didn't get to see any ghosts at all but we did have a nice pub dinner.

Such a lovely hotel nice rooms nice bath room nice people nice food would really recommend it if you like ghost hunting it so good love it would go back such a different hotel to stay in.

I've never been before despite living in Cornwall. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice carvery, very good staff in the restaurant and the museum is small but packed with really interesting smuggling artefacts.

The food was fine, average buffet stuff, and the staff were lovely, but the place was dull and dingy, and outside looked like an abandoned building site.

Travelling from Yorkshire to St Austell this Inn was a very welcome break to stop and grab a bite to eat, the food was excellent at reasonable prices. The gift shop was well stocked with some interesting items on its history and the museum that is attached to the building was very enlightening of its and the counties history, a small charge is payable which was well worth it, we had a guided tour by a kindly old lady that was full of character and told very funny and fascinating stories of her time there through her life from childhood. Highly recommended.

Very nice bar and hotel. The rooms are small as others stated but what would anyone need a large room for anyway in a hotel?! Good selection of drinks at the bar, including 3 different ciders, 2 ales and the usual largers. Plus extra bottled ale, cider, ginger beer etc.

Pleasant evening. Staff welcoming and attentive. Would visit again. We didn't eat but friends did and meals looked lovely, big portions. Would definitely eat there next time.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat on the way to Coverack. Good food, quick service, friendly staff. Recommended.

Where do I start. Over-priced entry into the small, grotty museum. The museum misses the whole drama of the property. The gift shop is full of Chinese product, and the restaurant… Oh dear. We were served up chips which were obviously re-heated from the day before, and pasties that were really very, very average. Not worth visiting. The property has such potential to be turned into a destination worthy its history. Overall, a shame.

A pub that feels like it is just milking its fame. It wasn't busy when we arrived and I was hoping for a reasonable menu. Instead they had a very small menu of items like jacket potatoes and sandwiches and a canteen style service. The food is equivalent to a motorway services which makes sense since it is next to the A30. If you are expecting a good pub serving good food that makes the best of its fame then you will be disappointed. On the plus side it was cheap but I would recommend driving on.

Amazing food scared the kids lol we loved it.

Inn is wonderful but I was very unhappy about the Wi-Fi usage of Facebook and You Tube being blocked for good on the 2nd day (Sept 13th 2014) of our stay. I think with the amount of money Jamaica Inn makes it can afford residents and users to use these. Had an unhappy Saturday evening.

Food acceptable but overpriced.

Waited in a traffic jam to arrive 2 hours behind schedule. Found the appetising sounding dishes on the menu had run out and what was still available of the very little choice of canteen food was less than ordinary and overpriced. The gravy we waited around for was watery. The service was particularly unhelpful — communication between the kitchen and the servers obviously nonexistent. A very disappointing end to an otherwise lovely week in Cornwall. NEVER going again (The Jamaica Inn — not Cornwall).

Very simply ; fantastic. Food very good, staff brilliant, we arrived late saturday night and missed the 9.30 finish time for eating, the manager said hang on let me see what I can do? he came back and we placed our order,. What a top manager and chefs. Nothing is too much and they will go out of there way to make ur stay as pleasent as possible. From our 1st visit there 6 yrs ago, its just got better and better. As we were checking out on the 26th may 2014, my wife said have we to book again for our wedding anniversary on july 13th, so before leaving we booked,. Cant wait to go back,. There was 1 negative coment and thats iam upset at my wife waking up in the middle of the night scaring me to death taking photos around the room ha ha ha, but what photos they are. If any body wants a haunting experience then book room 3, 4, 5, or 6,. Once again a big thank you to all the staff and ghosts ha, thanks.

Building is picturesque and steeped in history but the food is very average. The gravy was like dish water, not all food was ready on the carvery, the staff were not trained enough to serve food (using a bread knife to carve meat and failing badly). After complaing we were refunded for 5 out of 11 carverys that we purchased. It seems that it is just passing trade only and therefore if it is not upto standard its ok as more passing trade will always be available. I would not visit again : — (.
