Stayed here for 2 nights while we visited friends and to watch the football the guest house was very clean and the room had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the shower was powerful. The location is great as well not to far from the centre and it has a nice pub just down the road.

Not a welcoming atmosphere and no general guest area. Very clinical.

A comfortable night, free parking, but wish there wasn't a card payment fee.

Friendly and comforable digs for my 1st week working down in the city. Would recommend it as it's comfortable, as I say, and well placed for a short walk in to the Airbus or associated companies in the area.

This is a little basic. But if basic is okay with you then it will do fine! — they are not keen on card payments so be prepared to pay for everything in cash. The beds are not that comfortable & really new mattresses need to be purchased. There was quite a pong in our newly cleaned bathroom — I think the soil pipes right outside the window were responsible for this. We had to pay £10 extra to get into our room earlier than 4pm to get ourselves ready to attend a wedding. The room was ready so I don't know why they have to charge us extra. It seems that any change to anything attracts £10. This has to be paid in cash of course!? Lastly, the breakfast is best left, due to poor quality.

One night stopover. Reasonably priced for this area. Off-load parking to the rear. If you are tall, be aware that some of the smaller, single attic rooms have very low beams. I had to change mine. Place is clean and en suites were modern and fresh.

Incredibly rude staff. Would not book again.

This guest house was by far the best I had ever stayed in for the price. Very clean, smelt good everywhere and the staff were extra warm. I did not want to leave.

Stayed here whilst visiting unis and was a lovely guest house — very clean and the room was a good size. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, so did the shower. The breakfast was of good choice and very friendly service.

I have started a course at the nearby UWE Frenchay Campus and I stayed here for 2 nights. The room I stayed in (no 6. ) was very clean and tidy. Everything was high quality and the shower was lovely. The room was a double room but I was on my own and I found it ok but I thought the room would have been terrible for two people as it was very very small for a double. The breakfast is great and I loved this part, they are very good at the cooked breakfasts and they don't skimp on the ingredients which is nice. You get coffee, toast, OJ etc. I didn't have a car but there was a ton of parking to the rear and its right on a main road so easy to get to. I didn't find the bus connections that good to UWE but I have figured them out now and its easy (just walk up to the big roundabout and catch the 13 or the X18 to UWE from the bus stop on the side of the road with all the shops/hotel etc) The only downside was that I asked the lady I spoke to if I could pay by credit card when I booked and was told I could and gave over my card details but when I got there the young man told me they didn't have any card machine and he needed full payment in cash up-front before I could even come in the house and directed me to the nearest cash-point which was annoying in the torrential rain. I didn't have much cash in my account and was relying on paying by credit card so this was not so great. Summary: A lovely guest house and the ladies running it are lovely.

I have been residing here since mid-July during business-related periods when I have worked in the local area. This is set to be a longer-term arrangement hopefully. The Filton Guest House is a family-run business who work very hard to ensure the best standards of food, accommodation, and homely comfort, as well as to provide Wi-Fi and car parking facilities. While I did consider other accommodation options, I doubt I could get a better value for money solution than the Filton Guest House when it comes to satisfying my requirements.

I have been staying at the Filton Guest house for some weeks now. For me its like home from home. The staff, Lanni, Lucy and William are all very welcoming and extremely helpfull. They all work very hard to maintain high standards. The accomodation is of a very high standard, clean and well maintained. Also the cooked breakfasts are fresh and made to order. In the evening an excellent chinese menu can be made available on request. With free Wi-Fi avaiable and comfortable accomodation I most certainly will enjoy the next few weeks stay. Highly recommended.

What a refreshing change! Very well presented. Lucy, William and his Mum very helpful, hope they get all the business they deserve. Far better value than premier inn at the roundabout! business or tourist this is for you.

We stayed with Filton Guest house recently as wanted to visit the Harbour Festival.
We had room 2 and I must say this Guest house is fabulous! very clean and welcoming. The proprietor is a smashing lady, very warm and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was also great, it was just right. Thank you-Filton Guest House for a lovely stay-we will be back for sure if ever in Bristol again :-).
