Great garden and fab service. Lovely location too. Only negative was no food and they closed at 6pm on Sunday evening.

Usually it’s quite risky to order salads in English pubs. Was pleasantly surprised how good tuna steak salad and haloumi salad both were. Crispy vegetables, seared tuna, quality salad leaves, balanced dressing — clearly the kitchen knows its business.
Also great selection of beers and fantastic service.

Even when it’s busy the staff make every effort to cater for your comfort. The food is excellent and the drinks menu is awesome.
The pub is also dog friendly and water is provided.
Will always visit when out in Eton and Windsor.

Room was very clean and tidy. Very comfy bed. Fantastic breakfast. Perfect location. The lady in front door (receptionist) was very bubbly and nice, her name was Frankie. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

Disappointed with the lack of ham under the eggs Benedict! it was one slice of wafer thin shop brought ham. The eggs were luke warm and still gloopy!
the coffee was half a cup and Luke warm too.
bucks fizz was clearly last nights left over prosecco too.
An expensive breakfast which we thought would be a special treat on a lovely sunny morning.

Food and service great. Couldn’t fault it. Will defo be back. If your into your real ale like me get down there and enjoy the local brew.

Stayed at The George for a night, rooms are lovely and spacious, fantastic food and a huge delicious breakfast. Would recommend to anyone, great value and lovely views of Windsor Castle.

Such a lovely pub in a pretty location. Very dog friendly and the pub often hosts charity dog walks from the pub which we try and attend.
Food is superb and food portions massive. Excellent selection of real ales from the local Windsor and Eton brewery is a big plus
Recently attended the FemAle beer and food pairing that the pub put on which was excellent. Great value for money and the knowledge of Annabel the female sommelier and the brewery representative was amazing. Would love to attend something like this again.

Excellent Sunday lunch with superb freindly & flexible staff. This pub is very popular. We turned up on mass (8 people) in the middle of a Sunday lunch service. We were seated and warned of a delay of 45 mins. We were given a bowl of chips to bridge the gap and our meal turned up exactly when expected and tasted great.

Nice bedroom just at border between Windsor and Eton near the river. It is just a walking distance from the centre and the ma in street. The staff is kind and caring. It provides many options for a rich and typical breakfast. I really enjoyed the staying.

Really enjoyed the dinner at The George Inn! Super friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate my daughters dietary needs. Loved the historic charm and we stayed in a room at the Inn, which was great! We even had a Windsor Castle view! We also enjoyed the area with easy access to River Thames walking path and Windsor Castle!

My wife and I stayed here after the 70th birthday riverboat cruise of an old friend.
The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was plentiful and hot, and the staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, throughout our stay.
There was just one drawback: our first-floor room overlooked the local taxi-rank, and we were kept awake into the early hours by revellers in the street below.

Lots of outside space here, they can accommodate bikes here too (well they did not tell us off for bringing them into the pub garden). The staff were friendly and we were served quickly. The food was ok, the soup of the day is nice, however it could have come with a few more pieces of bread to dip into it. I'd come back here again.

Great pub in Eaton, just across the river from Windsor. My friends enjoyed the local craft beer while I was content with the cheese platter, Camembert with delicious bread and fruits. Great chatting with a nice woman who offered local tips.

Really nice pub. The food was amazing. The best steak and ale pie I have ever had. Went with friends and every dish was just as good.

What a lovely little pub. Very welcoming staff and regulars. Very excited to find a Gin called 'Unicorn Tears'. Nice chat with knowledgeable staff about different gins. Encouragingly a good selection of wines as well.

Great place, close to the famous Eton school on one side and the gorgeous town of Windsor, with The grand Windsor castle on the other. The George offers 8 fine hotelrooms over a nice, old, lively pub with nice staff and great food. They do a wonderful breakfast too and there's a spacious beergarden and an outbuilding where you can enjoy your separate parties all by yourselves as well. Parking can easily be done two blocks down from the building for £ 10 per day.

Stayed overnight. Good room. Blackout blinds. Triple glazing to stop noise from street. Comfy beds. Excellent breakfast!

A busy, but wonderful pub. Open fires and big ol' chairs gives quite a homely feel. Had the Sunday lunch which was fab (roast lamb with HUGE Yorkshires). Toilets are acceptable by the standard of other places in Windsor.

Great venue for a work function, party or anything along those lines as they have a separate venue room that is well attended to by your own assigned staff member. We had our Xmas work function here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place. The pub itself is great as well and very traditional in appearance but contemporary in the vibe.

Only some words to recommend everyone this pub. The meal was really great, the atmosphere was also really nice, but the best thing I can say is about the staff, really really kind. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, and even my mother-in-law (and this is really important) did it. Congratulations to the staff.

Wholesome and hearty food and a big favourite with the family. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

Sunday roast was of fairly good quality, but service was very slow even though the pub wasn't busy. Dessert was disappointing — Eton Mess consisted of a plate of whipped cream, a shop bought meringue nest plonked on top, and two slices of strawberry. One of the waitresses was very rude. Could have been much better.

Definitely worth eating here if you're visiting Windsor to avoid the frozen food tourist traps. Great beer reasonable prices.

One of the best pubs for food and drink in Windsor, and an excellent sun trap garden. Book ahead as the kitchen gets busy and you might have to wait a while for food, but it's well worth it. Good local and imported beer choices, delicious food and friendly staff. Also very dog friendly!

We were recommended to come here for a meal from a fellow boater that frequents The George Inn every time they pass through. I can highly recommend other people to go to. We had a great meal, all the staff were knowledgable of the menu, welcoming and friendly. Real Ale for the lads and dog friendly. They found out it was my birthday and came out with one of their deserts with a candle on singing happy birthday. We were also the last to leave, at no time did we feel we had to go. A special thank you to Jade who served us for the evening.

Visited The George Inn for some drinks with friends one evening. We sat outside in their beer garden, in one of the new boothes. It was really nice — comfortable, a good atmosphere, and easy to talk to others. We then went inside because it was getting late. I loved the detail inside — real candles on each table, and amazing looking food whizzed by. There was a jovial quiet atmosphere inside with pleasant and attentive waiting staff. I think the bar man actually said goodbye as we left. A very pleasant mini adventure into Eton!

They have Lagunitas IPA on tap. That alone is worth 5 stars. I had the Cesar salad as well. Very good salad with a very generous portion of chicken.

Lovely old pub, rooms are warm and pleasant. Food is good, I stay here for work and can't fault it. Of you're looking for a traditional pub setting this is it.

Excellent meal this lunchtime at this beautifully refurbished pub. The new owners, Windsor & Eton brewery have done a great job and the food was very good indeed. Our party had fish pie, chicken Caesar salad, goats cheese salad and a burger and fries. Chips were excellent crispy and hot. Highly recommended.

Good food and beers. Now run by the local Windsor and Eton Brewery who have turned this pub around. If you have been in the last few years and found it a bit lack lustre its now worth another visit.

Me and the missus had the best Sunday lunch I have ever tasted there once, sad to hear it's gone downhill foodwise!

My meal at George Inn: a remarkably bad pie with a small helping of cold mash on the side. When the customers are mostly tourists who are never coming back anyway, there is no need to do better.
