Second time in Yakima for work. First time I was booked at the Masion down the road. This time my company put me here, the red lion. I was surprised they didn’t offered complimentary breakfast for one. But here’s the reason this hotel got a one star. I typically check out my bed, mattress, linens, as soon as I get in but I was so exhausted from the drive and work that I just sat on the bed while watching TV for a while. Once I was ready to get into bed, I pulled back the blanket/sheets and noticed super long dark hairs on the pillows! I turned them over and found more hair, tiny ones and long! I was absolutely disgusted! I search the bed and see dark hairs all over! Wtf! I immediately tried calling house keeping & front desk my hotel phone wouldn’t call out I had to use my cell to call the front desk who told me house keeping was gone for the night and she couldn’t help me BUT she’d send “someone” over with new bedding and I’d have to make my king bed… ummm ok. Thankfully I had a coworker traveling with me who’s room was next door so I call her over and ask her to stay with me while a strange man I don’t know brings me sheets… he shows up with linens and takes all the old bedding. We begin to make my bed, come to find out he brought me queen sheets for a king! I call back and she tells me when he returns she’ll send him back again with new sheets! He comes back with two top sheets and the comforter again is too small! This man was just the maintenance man who was trying to go home, he asked me to come to the storage closet with him and help find the sheets. This was insane and so unacceptable. Together we found the proper sizes and I thanked him for trying to help me. I got my bed made but I’ve never experienced anything like this before! Iam never coming back to this dump! Get it together Red Lion.
