We stayed here for a week. With the exception of the check-in fiasco (see below) the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in a quiet setting and easy walking distance to many restaurants. The breakfast buffet had good variety and acceptable quality. The eggs were always an odd consistency, preparation method? Housekeeping did a great job and everything was very clean. The room was spacious. The toilet seat had some strange marring that made it look dirty even though it wasn't. The tub was oddly musical, literally. When you moved it played notes like a harmonica. They really need to update the mattresses. Ours had troughs. I woke up every morning with back pain. The exercise room is very small without mats for stretching or other exercises and doesn't have any free weights (it has 2-3 treadmills, a stationary bike, and a stepper with arm movement). I won't choose to stay here again unless they update the mattresses, of everything the quality of sleep matters the most. I was meeting my husband for a work conference, he's flying in from Asia and arriving in the evening, I arrived late morning. I called the day prior to inquire about early check in. Was told it would be no problem and they could get me in a room around noon. When I arrived at 10:30 the front desk clerk refused to help me because my name wasn't on the reservation (admittedly our error).

Rhe rooms, service, cleanliness, the pool were all very good. The included breakfast was a nice perk. The decor is on the contemporary side. All in all it was an enjoyable place to stay.

This hotel is very clean and tidy. All the staff is very friendly and nice. The receptionist was able to direct me to my destination which was amazing! The breakfast was also very nice. I really enjoyed their hash browns and sausages.

Nice enough. Pool is pretty chilly, and only one elevator for entire building (and it's very small). Says pets allowed but then you arrive and they suddenly say "oh wait, not on the 3rd floor though, we'll have to charge you a fee" which isn't the best of business in my opinion. But room was spacey (it was a suite room though) and AC worked good.

Large rooms with two beds and a couch. Indoor pool with hot tub. Free breakfast, better than continental but not the Ritz.

The hotel is conveniently located on I5. The staff is good and rooms are big. The bathrooms are neat. The beds are comfortable as well. There is free tea coffee in the lobby 24x7.

Clean, cozy and inexpensive — Enjoyed our stay. Suites are big and beds are cozy. Not much of a gym to speak of. It was a really tiny room with only a few pieces of equipment and no weights. Pool was the same. Very small. Wasn't a big deal to us since we were just looking for a bed for a night. Breakfast was pretty good the next morning. Breakfast staff wasn't very helpful though. They ran out of bowls and when we asked for some she just shrugged and said they didn't have any. Strange. Overall enjoyed the nights stay and recommend it as a inexpensive place to lay your head for a night. We payed $86 (plus taxes) on hot wire for a midweek night. Great deal!

Arrived late one night and was in room 419 right next to the interstate (rooms in the teens are near the interstate so if you are a light sleeper like me request a lower room number. ). Next morning went down to the front desk to see if there was any possibility of switching to a room farther away. Within 45 minutes the staff had a new room cleaned and switched me. Phenomenal customer service! Very pleased!

Don’t waste your $$, Definitely not worth the price! It’s like any other hotel room with less perks! They do not offer soap bars, lotion and so on, but they do however have soap pumps stuck to the shower wall with shampoo/conditioner in one and body soap in the other, highly disappointed! Not much of a luxury hotel. I have had my stay in many hotels and this one rates last on my list! So if you’re in a pinch and don’t have anything on hand go somewhere else! Also the bathtub was lined with what felt like sand paper strips. So to sum it up. You can find better quality for a more reasonable price somewhere else! Trust me lol.

Decent hotel for price. If you're looking for something more comfy this is not the place for you.

I don’t normally write reviews and I don’t normally complain but this place pushed me to it. I chose this hotel because the ratings were high and it seemed like a good deal. As a bonus, they accepted pets so I could bring my dog with me there! What I didn’t realize is that they’d charge my credit card three times for the pet fee and when I called them on it they were of no help explaining as to why and didn’t seem concerned that there wasn’t any “adjustments” showing on my end, I was basically told to deal with it and if it didn’t change I could call back. I completely understand that fooors 1 & 2 were the pet friendly floors, I was actually happy for once to be situated on the first floor because my dog can have an anxious bladder so taking him out would be easier. But sticking anyone right next to the breakfast area is ridiculous! Be cautious if you get room 105. Not to mention the amount of noise that was had through out the entire night was just stupid. I did ask the front desk about it and was told pretty much I had to deal with it. I understand that being in a hotel there is more noise than in your own place, nature of the business however when it’s loads of extraneous noises of banging and stomping and yelling, it goes beyond typical hotel noise. I know, I’ve stayed in my fair share. After my experience and the complete lack of customer service and the fact they didn’t even seem to care that my stay was horrible, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I was here for an event in the meeting room. It's a small space but everything was clean and nice. The hotel staff were friendly and parking was easy.

Not saying it's the worst place I've stayed at cuz I've been some cockroach hotels before but this place is decent doesn't have much of a good breakfast if you're staying the night and eating a breakfast in the morning prices average around $140 which is kind of more than I want to spend at that place. But you just need a place to lay your head and shouldn't be too bad for you.

Beds were comfy and the rooms were super clean. The expressway wasn't as bad as read. Would definitely recommend this Inn.

I was surprised by how spacious the room was. It was booked through hotwire the night before. Cost was less than $90 for a King. It was a great stay!

While we were extremely happy with the hotel, we do have one rather large complaint. We were expecting some sort of a fee for having 2 dogs with us, we were thinking maybe 20$ extra. Instead we had to pay a total of 25$ per night, per dog, so for 2 nights had to pay 100$. Had we known it would be so high we would of shopped around or not brought the dogs with us. We did get the hotel via hotwire, so you dont know quite where your going until its already paid for, which may be a hotwire problem. As much as we liked the hotel, very clean, nice room, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, we most likely wont be returning because of the pet policy.

Stayed for 3 nights was pleasant. Room was clean breakfast large enough not to get overly repetitive. Would recommend.

Arrived late one night and picked up our key. Unfortunately it didn't work so we had to head back to the lobby for a replacement. Other than the one issue it's a nice place. The room we had was spacious, complementary breakfast was decent, and the location was right off the freeway.

Very nice place. Kim got us checked in. She is an asset. Thumbs up. Clean, nice rooms. Entire place smells good. Easy off the freeway. Don't be afraid to stay. We spent a week with them. The cat loved it too.

The friendliness was good. The overall feel was interesting. Really the only bad thing I had to say is you had to time the key card to get the door open properly and occasionally it didnt work. Otherwise great experience.

Staff was nice to me and the rooms were nice. The highway traffic made sleep almost impossible for me the first night. The second night I turned the fan on high and it didn't quite drown out the traffic. I've since switched to a new hotel for the rest of the stay.

The hotel is generally pretty quality. The breakfast has actual hot food and is one of the better breakfasts that I've had at similar places and the pillows are excellent. The place is really clean and the area seems well maintained. There are little things that are off that add up, though. The towels are really scratchy. Like really scratchy. The Wi-Fi is abysmal and barely works. The staff attempted to have our coach (we are a travelling collegiate debate team) to sign some sort of document that "we'll be ladies and gentlemen" which seemed totally unnecessary and kind of silly. TL;DR: The hotel is pretty decent with a great breakfast and really scratchy towels.

I stayed here while visiting my brother in Tigard. It was a good location, nice amenities, free breakfast had variety and items tasted good. Would stay here again.

They give military discount, medical discounts and I don't know what else. We use the medical discount and it's easy to get back on the freeway to the Terwilleger exit, to OHSU. Their pool and hot tub has been clean every time we have come… And my friend has to see her doctor every 3 months.

This hotel is a lot nicer than the ratings show it as. It's very clean. Even the breakfast is served without paper plates. They use stoneware plates and cups. I've been to higher rated hotels that use paper plates only. This hotel should have a 4 star rating.

Great place! We came into the lobby and the place smelled clean and looked inviting. The room was immaculate and the a/c was blowing so cold! Quite nice after a9 hour drive in triple digits!

Affordable, large, quiet rooms. You are getting a really comfortable, clean stay at a lower price. The trade off is the decor is slightly dated, but this is a minor issue in comparison to the location and price.

Recently stayed at the Phoenix Lake Oswego, and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were very clean (my criteria), the beds were comfortable and I slept soundly, and they were very accommodating to a specific need I had. It is close to numerous restaurants, they always had coffee on, and it was affordable. Best bang for buck experience I've had at a hotel in some time! It is near major routes and wasn't more than 20 mins from any location I had to visit in the greater Portland area. Some reviewers complained about the highway noise, but the 'white noise' didn't bother me at all. I'd stay at a Phoenix Inn again in a heartbeat, and particularly this one. A good hotel experience can make or break a trip. Thanks, Phoenix, for making my trip that much better!

The most comfortable, enjoyable, friendly place to be when traveling. I would recommend this over any other when you're in the area! 5 stars is not enough!

My review is for the Lake Oswego property; I haven't stayed at any of the other Phoenix locations. Words really can't do it justice. This property has it ALL: right off the interstate 5, good value, walking distance to good restaurants, clean and efficient, staff go the distance for guests. Rooms are well maintained, and I sleep like a baby here. What more can you ask for! Give it a try and see for yourself.

When people think of a nice hotel, they rarely think of something that is often affordable. The Phoenix Inn has it all: Affordability, a sense of luxury, and even great breakfast! Not only that, it was even in a great location that was central to many attractions in Portland, Lake Oswego, and even Tigard!

This is a sexy hotel. I'm used to business hotels that seem boring in comparison. There's a very contemporary decor in this place, which my fiancé loves. But there's also lots of lights, flower touches, and colors that have now made me a huge fan of this chain of hotels. Great rooms and wonderful service! I love, love, love that we could see tons of firework displays from our window seat. It was a great place to spend the Fourth of July!

Location is great… Right off of freeway. Comfortable, clean, well-appointed rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff.

I stay here when I work in Lake Oswego. It's usually the cheapest rate. The staff is friendly and accommodating and at night reception usually has cookies. The rooms are large. However I'm not a fan of the deccore. I've had better the free breakfasts at other hotels. The TV/remote is weirdb and the channel selection is not great.

Two night stay here just last week. Everything was first rate… from my room to the breakfast buffet, and the great customer service. Lisa and Jasmine are the best! I highly recommend this hotel, and will stay here again! Thank you, Phoenix! :-)

I stayed here for four nights a couple of weeks back and was very pleased with my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was one of the more comfortable hotel beds I've slept in in quite some time, and the pillows were firm too. The breakfast was good and had a good selection to choose from, although I would've liked to see bananas offered as that is one of my morning staples. But, no biggie. I'd give it a 5 if not for the loud room doors. I understand they're set to automatically close, but they close with such a thud and loud noise that I was being awakened at all hours of the night/morning when someone in the surrounding rooms would enter or exit their room. The walls of my room would also shake when the people in the adjacent room would close their door. You'd think people would notice this and try not to let their room door slam shut, but not these days. So, my only suggestion would be to somehow make it so these doors don't slam shut so violently… or put some sort of pad around the door frame to absorb the noise and vibration. But, this wouldn't keep me from staying here again. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area. Oh, one last little thing that I also mentioned to the girl at the desk when I checked in. On your website you list Lewis and Clark Community College. It's actually not a community college, it's Lewis & Clark College. :) Thanks for the pleasant 4 days at your Inn.

Great rooms, a pool facility, and the staff is great. The front desk people bent over backwards for us and were genuinely incredibly nice human beings.

Let me say I did like this hotel. It was a quiet night sleep. Free parking & Wi-Fi. The breakfast was reasonably good. However, I can't give it 4 stars because the pool was too cold to use. Hotel staff should regularly keep the pool at a useable temperature. Front desk called the management who were not on site, and they did not make any adjustments to the pool temperature. I was able to enjoy the hot tub, but my kids are too young to be in the hot tub temperatures.
