This is a very nice hotel. I have stayed here several times. My son lives about a mile from here so it’s very convenient.

This is probably one of the best HIE's I've stayed in. Marble floors in the entry way, a fountain out front (that is also a Pokemon GO gym) and very nice rooms. The staff are always friendly as well. I would highly recommend.

I came with my autistic 23 year old son on military travel orders for an initial evaluation and 1st surgery. The Staff was excellent! My room was Excellent, Breakfast superb, professionalism and personalism of staff. Amanda and Gary and the two ladies who work evenings went above and beyond! On the night before my son's surgery he had to be strictly without food and drink. I explained about with his Autism I could not explain that to him and my fear was he could get up in the night and I was asleep as he self serves at home. My food was moved to another refrigerator and when we left for the surgery they moved it to my room. In addition I asked if I could get some breakfast for myself brought to my room as I could not leave him alone or come with him and eat in front of him. Amanda came to bring me breakfast. I have been so impressed by this hotel and staff when we return for his big longer surgery and recovery stay within the next month we want to return and pray they have rooms available as to accommodate us.

Service was wonderful. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast had many options. Right off the highway so very accessible. Would stay here again.

Had a nice stay at this location. Rooms were very nice and especially quiet considering the close proximity to the I-5. Hotel staff was accommodating and approachable, namely Mani who’d gone above and beyond in service.

My second time here, just as enjoyable as the first. Staff is friendly, rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable felt similar to being at home. The breakfast has great choices.

We enjoyed our stay here for 5 nights while we visited the area. The room was spotless and looked like it had been remodeled recently. The bathroom had plenty of counter space for my husband and I to lay out our toiletries. The breakfast was pretty good and had a good variety; the breakfast room had plenty of room for everyone. The desk staff was accomodating for the most part. The TV was hard to navigate. Also, the business center was temporarily not operational so we could not access boarding passes, etc. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

The place is very nice. Staff is very polite. There are four of us registered but only 3 towels in the bathroom and only 2 complimentary water bottles. We missed out on the warm cookie and milk at 7 hoping to get it tomorrow.

My room wasn’t cleaned, so I passed by and let them know. I received the biggest, “I don’t give a ———“. A simple, I’m sorry can I get you fresh towels etc… would have helped. I had to ask for fresh towels. She then claimed that they didn’t know I was in the room, despite my 5:00 wake up call to ask me if I was in the room. This place is ridiculous.

Hotel staff was great. Amenities were wonderful as well. Great hotel for a reasonable price.

I couldn't ask anything else, I stayed for three days and I didn't have any problems.

Easy, convenient access from the I-5. Clean, new look inside and out. Beds are comfortable and rooms are well appointed including a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, iron, and blow dryer. No room safe. Rooms that face I-5 are a bit noisy.

Very welcoming! The room was great and clean! The room also had a wine opener which is convenient! The Kerug coffee maker is also a plus! And they even offer free bottles of water that are already kept cool in the frig. The breakfast is also very filling and well kept.

Very nice rooms and pleasant service. Convenient to I5 and surprisingly quiet. Also a big plus, this is one of the cleanest hotels I have seen recently.

First time staying here at this Holiday Inn and loved it! From the moment you enter til the time you get to your room, everything is extremely clean. It is easy to miss due to it being right off the freeway and there isn't a clear sign of where to turn into the hotel. Overall, I loved it.

Nice place. Lot of army and air force people there, but was a quiet night. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was usual hotel fare.

As always the holiday inns are very nice to stay at. Rooms were clean. They had a decent work out room and the breakfast has a nice variety. This location is kind in an area of Tacoma where I probably would not walk too far alone. Lots of restaurants in a short drive though.

This is a fairly new place and it looked and smells it too. Excellent amenities, excellent and professional people, just about everything you want in a hotel they have and the price is very reasonable. Looking to stay in South Tacoma? I would look and stay here this is a great Hotel!

Nice place. Even in uniform, I wasn't given a military discount. I don't expect one but the internet had military pricing and I had it every time before. All my buddies received one as well. Pricing is more than surrounding hotels.

The place is comfortable and close to many restaurants and highways. Hot breakfast. Free warm cookies at 7pm every day.

This was a very over-priced accommodation. The charge on this ad states $138. They charged me $155. US even after my AAA discount. I wa told it was the end of their high season — it was mid November! We stayed in many other hotels throughout this trip through Washington & Oregon — including other Holiday Inns. None of them charged this amount. Most were around $100. ($89. To $109. ) for one night double occupancy. This hotel was not of any higher standard than others and did not warrant this much money. Not only that but I had to get room service as there was hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor.

This hotel doesn't even deserve the one star, but the webpage won't let me post the review without clicking at least one star. I will never make a reservation at any Holiday Inn again, I work for a public institution in WA State, I make reservations for faculty and staff traveling to conferences and different events, I made two reservations a few days ago at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tacoma South-Lakewood and then I had to cancel them because the event was cancelled, I had done this in the past with different hotels and never had any problems but the Holiday Inn charged the full amount for both reservations even when I had cancelled them within the time limit and got a cancellation confirmation. Apparently I had chosen a rate that was no reimbursable. I understand if they will charge a fee when you cancel the reservation but to charge the full amount for both reservations is just outrageous and they are not willing to work with you at all. So for that reason I will not use a Holiday Inn hotel again for work or personal traveling and will not recommended to anybody, luckily there are tons of other hotels around that have better service.

Nice hotell, staff was friendly, breakfast was good with lots of choices. Room was in great shape and clean. Up to date on furnishings. I would stay here again if I return to the area with no hesitation.

Pool was rusty and deck full of mildew. Next to freeway, very loud. Overpriced for the quality of the facility. Very poor for a holiday inn. Pancakes where rubbery.

I made a reservation Friday afternoon, very easy to do so which was nice, when we arrived we were very impressed with how clean and welcoming the hotel looked. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and they kept in mind we had three little ones (the youngest almost two) with us. The room was perfect! We were so happy, it was very comfortable, roomy, sift blankets and really fluffy pillows. The best part no one near us so if the baby cried it didn't bother anyone else trying to sleep. I can't thank the staff enough. The breakfast in the morning was nice, everyone got what they wanted. We enjoyed the pool as well. I really recommend this hotel. I will stay here again when we come back to Washington.

This hotel was very good. The rooms had a mini fridge and microwave. The beds and showers are comfortable. The breakfast is nice. They have a pancake machine and sausage patties with biscuits and gravy. The pool and fitness center is also great. They have Arabica coffee and a big selection of tea. The business center and laundry room is also great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice, clean hotel. Big, beautiful lobby, great for meeting guests and grabbing breakfast. There were lots of choices for breakfast. The lobby, pool and fitness center are open 24 hrs. There is plenty of parking in the well lighted, secure lot. Prices were a little steep, but a lot of the local places were booked. We will be back.

The room was clean and more or less comfortable. I am very picky when it comes to mattresses so I didn't find it super easy to fall asleep, but I wasn't up all night like a lot of hotels. The breakfast was good, but because the hotel was packed they did have a bit of a hard time keeping the hot items in stock, but if you were willing to be flexible you could get what you wanted.

Room is two true queen sized beds. Large bathroom with granite. That being said it smells mildew-y. Like it's been closed up, unheated for too long. Once in you do get used to it quickly. The beds are very comfortable, four pillows of varying density so something for everyone. Room is clean, bathroom clean. Fresh coffee in the lobby 24/7. Weight room, business center, pool, hot tub etc. Front desk lady at night was Maria and she is a gem.

We stayed in a suite room. Room was clean and the jacuzzi tub in the room was very nice. We used it quite a bit.
Morning breakfast was very good, and the coffee was always on. Excellent staff. Very friendly. Nice bed.

For being right next to the freeway it is a lot quieter than expected. Rooms are clean and staff is quick to take care of you. A lot of the town closes at 9pm so make sure not to wait for dinner or your choices will be limited.

Perfect stay. No drama. Nice facility. Beautiful room. Not flashy but I am only there for three days. Great breakfast and the lady that tends to the breakfast bar was very thoughtful and mindful of everyone's needs. Less expensive that the other Holiday Inns in the area but a way better stay. I appreciate the great service!

We visited this holiday Inn for a small meeting in one of the conference rooms. The lobby and parking lot area was very clean. We didn't have any interactions with the staff.

Kyiara was very un hospitable in her attempt to serve me as her guest. It's unfortunate that one can not just simply have a room and get my stuff after checkout and possibly shower. Too bad because after her attempted supervisor experience I will probably not stay at another holiday inn after this. She should have renewed my key after a verbal phone verification with my husband and allowed me the wife of the guest of honor to grab my belongings instead she said she will just make a file and hold my things. Seriously the items were not that important to fight and argue over but I sincerely think management needs to come though and have a training course on how to better serve your guest. Otherwise there will be no more after word of mouth… Not to mention a normal hotel or high class agency would have allowed a guest to indentifying themselves one form or another. You can't always send a photo of your ID and a written authorization while you are in transport. Be serious here. I could easily have gotten a copy of his ID. But sending it to a text and this and that makes thing very difficulty when you are traveling cross country. Thanks I won't be back and neither will he.

Hotel is nice enough. It's in a bad area (don't go walk around at night) with nothing much around it. The freeway and exit right by the hotel make it somewhat noisy. We stayed on as part of a group and the group rate was higher than the normal rate you get online. I would obviously not recommend this hotel for groups as other places offer a discount.

What I liked is that everything is clean and comfortable what price and how pay 130 for 4 hours.

If you are here for work and you need to use Internet, this hotel is not for you. I'm here for almost two weeks now, and they cannot fix their Wi-Fi; it is always dropping connection and I have to re-log in every 5-10 minutes to finish work online. Yes, it is nice clean hotel, but it does meant for work.

Very clean. Excellent continental breakfast. Indoor pool and spa is perfect this time of the year. The fitness center was perfect. Rooms are roomy and the whole places smelled so good.
