Hotel staff was rude. Room was very small. Room was missing and iron and replaced it with a iron with melted plastic.

Do NOT stay here if you expect clean rooms, courteous service or the slides to be open during their posted operating hours.
We called ahead to confirm that the pool and slides were working and open, then booked 2 rooms and drove 6 hours for a short little vacay for our family.
When we arrived, I waited at the front desk for at least 10 minutes to get service, then was spoken to rudely and told that the slides are closed and if I don’t like it I can leave… but of course it was too late to cancel our reservations and go elsewhere. Both front desk people (a man and a woman) were rude, unprofessional and snappy.
The rooms were both filthy and 1 had no towels.
There was obvious drug activity and noise during the evening, up and down the halls and in the parking lot.
We had an awful stay.
Really shady, poorly managed place.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here this year. Great front desk workers always been friendly and helpful. The rooms are great and lots of dinning options and shopping around.

We go to NHRA every year and this is the 1st time staying here. It is convenient as it is near everything and a direct drive to the races. The staff is very friendly, the rooms were nice and the breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, cereal, yogurt and other stuff so not bad. Will be back next year!

Made reservations and was told the card wouldn't be run, drove 3 hours and get to the hotel to be told the card was declined and we have to reservation. No vacancy and no apology, my kids were so
disappointed after such a long drive to have to turn around and drive all over trying to find a room. I will make sure all my friends hear about this experience and will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

I booked a room for 2 nights here specifically because of the water slides. We got there and went to the pool but they were closed. Sure would have been nice to know that the water slides are limited to certain days. While there I heard at least 2 other people complain about the slides not being open.
The room was really small. There were no pictures on the walls in the room which I found a little odd but whatever. The room was facing the main road and was extremely loud.
The continental breakfast was probably the worst I have ever seen… old oranges and lemons? Not a very good selection… will not be going back on our next visit.

We had a wheelchair and they put us on the lower floor. We had to carry my mom up and down the stairs in her wheelchair as the staff watched. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in any hotel. I would NEVER return to any red lion after our stay here. Zero stars.

First of all the staff is very rude. Rooms are small. We came here with 10 kids aging from 5-15. We chose this hotel because of the water slides and pool. In the numerous times we spoke with employees prior to coming NO ONE said anything about there being a height requirement to use the slides and it is not listed on the website. When we asked about it the life guard and another employee were extremely rude. You can't even let your kid slide and catch them at the bottom. They have to take a swimming test and the life guard doesn't even watch. So what's the point. You don't have to do that at Great Wolf Lodge! Also there are two slides but only one kid can go up at a time. It's ridiculous. Oh by the way you have to pay additional for bands to get into the pool area even if you are not swimming! The whole thing is a rip off.

Front desk staff was not friendly, bathrooms were moldy and not properly stocked. We had a double room and were only given two towels. All of our soap dispensers were empty and the grout in the shower was moldy. Nothing in the room looked wiped down or sanitized. The customer service was poor and you almost felt like you were a bother just being there. There’s no attention to detail at all. The pool was extremely cloudy and the lifeguard looked less than thrilled to be there. The chlorine burned all of the kids skin and eyes. Don’t waste your money.

My wife and I stayed there for 2 days after driving a very long time and it was great to get in the nice clean big pool and to top that off it had two big water slides! It was great! The staff was great also. Thank you to red lion inn!

Strong smell of mildew in the room. Beds were like a rock. Water pressure was good. Air conditioner worked fine. Mini fridge was off, and therefore not cold, when we arrived. The pool was cloudy, the walls were slimy, but the water slides were pretty sweet. Breakfast might have been ok, hard to tell since they started running out of stuff before we even got there, which was over an hour before breakfast service closed. Very slippery bathtub, one person actually fell trying to shower.

Room smelled of mildew. Power bar for tv, lights, and fridge was off. Carpet was wet. Bath tub was very slippery. Pool could have been cleaner. Breakfast buffet could not keep up with guest demand.

If I could give this hotel a 0 based strictly based off the friendliness of the staff and their knowledge I would. I’ll try to keep this short. Me, my husband and my nearly 2 year old son took an overnight trip to Seattle for an event. We had a 5 hour drive, and when we arrived I had to use the restroom. I ran in and the front desk guy was with customers. I didn’t want to interrupt so I was searching for a bathroom. He came out from the behind the counter and asked what I was doing. I explained that we had a reservation we had a long trip and I really needed to use the restroom. He told me there was NO restroom I could use. Before the trip we had put a specific amount of money on a card for the hotel (which we reserved online) and for the remaining amount of our budget we brought cash. We were unaware of the $40 reservation fee (we don’t travel a lot) that is given back after our visit so our card was decline twice. My husband tried to ask if we would pay the remaining balance in cash and the front desk guy was extremely rude and said that he cant do such a thing (my sister in law works front desk at a Red Lion and assured me that they do this all the time). So it was possible. My husband had some choice words that probably weren’t necessary or acceptable no matter our situation, but the guy working cancelled our reservation and proceeded to lash back commenting, “to the guy that doesn’t even have $40”, in front of several other customers.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast… Big beds, nicer room… Kids love the pool and slides. My daughter's had their slumber birthday parties here 2 years in a row!

Good value, close to Wild Waves. Be aware the hotel is right next to the freeway so bring earplugs. Also the water slides at their pool are only open for a few hours in the evening when a lifeguard is on duty. The slides drop into the deep end of the pool so be prepared to catch little ones if they can't swim. Breakfast was decent, waffles, eggs, cereal, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, coffee, juice etc. Denny's & Walmart are in the same parking lot.

Slides are only open after 3. That was the only downfall to our trip. Waking up hung over to a open hot breakfast was amazing. Saved my hangover. Thank you red lion!

The pool was dirty, and the hot tub was broken. The staff was unhelpful and rude, and they didn't seem to know anything about the time frame on things getting repaired, and offered no compensation for the inconvenience. The pool and slides were not opened on time, and the lifeguards just sat there reading and had headphones in rather than watch the kids playing.

Love the slide pull. Staff friendly. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds big rooms. Near freeway hear it sometimes at night.

Love the pool. Wish my daughter could have gone on the slide, she was a little to small. She loved it though. Love that they have pumps for bathing/showering and hand soap rather than little bottles. Staff was very nice. Room was good size and clean.

This place is okay. The room was nice, no complaints there. Only issues were the lack of elevator and customer service. My boyfriend asked the front desk what they do for guests with physical limitations and they said " we don't accommodate them " which left me speechless. Although I don't think I should've been surprised since the front desk staff were really rude to us too. You'd think you'd be treated with some sort of respect when you pay &300+ for 3 nights but evidently not. The location is convenient though, nice to have Walmart right next door and plenty of other stores within walking distance too. Great breakfast and housekeeping staff were great too. We switched rooms as soon as we checked in because we paid for a king and ended up with barely a full sized bed and I ended up leaving my purse in the first room. Luckily a housekeeper let me back in to grab it as soon as I realized it so that was awesome. But overall, we don't really have any intention of staying here again anytime soon, not unless the price drops dramatically or the customer service improves at the front desk.

So you charge an arm to stay but told you need passes and only allowed two bracelets?! We could go to the whole amusement park for $6 more. The front desk service is a joke. The front desk girl Joselyn basically said that I should just leave my kids that are under 11 and 6 to the 16 lifeguard on duty. People come to hotels, out of town to visit we had family in this town and they couldn’t hang out with our nieces because they would have to pay to see them?! What the hell is that about?! So bummed we should have paid the other $10 to stay at the nicer and higher rated hotel. The pool was so dirty, hot tub had skin or dirt laying on top of the surface.

If I could post zero stars I would have. This place was horrible. I stayed one night and would never stay one night more. The horrible manager Carmen was followed by an even worse manager Angela who had even worse customer service skills. I was charged for a pool key I was never even given just too find out my daughter was too short too use the pool slides, which was the whole reason we decided to stay at this Red Lion. No where on the website or anytime during check with the hotel manager did they say there was a height restriction. Then when I returned my keys in the morning when I mentioned that too Angela she preceded too tell me my daughter was too young, and what kinds of mother was I too let her try something so dangerous (even though on check in I plainly stated the only reason I was there was so my daughter could use the slides and carmen even asked how old she was but didn't mention she couldn't use the slides). Needless too say this place was a waste of money and ill never stay here again. Ill encourage everyone I know too never stay here. This place was horrible.

Anything you would need on your trip you can get it in a 10min. Walk from the hotel. Like Walmart, food, hair, nails, fitness, banking and much more. The hotel is in a great spot to walk to anything you need. If your not busy at the water slides all day. Plus they have a convenience store in the lobby and great hot Continental breakfast. Great for weekend get away.

Good rooms, updated nicely. Nice pool, but in its own entrance outside. Had to walk across to get it. They need to build a hallways or roof there when it’s cold or raining it sucks. Especially when you have to use your room key to cross to the building from the pool and freeze outside till the door opens. Key cards took 2-3 tries before opening any of the doors. Just a few things that need a check.

This motel is nice for a motel. It has a hotub pool water slides, nearly 100% sound proof rooms, you can only hear other people in the halls, but not room to room which is extremely nice. It has your usual breakfast. Really nice staff. I'm absolutely surprised by my visit by here. The location alone is unique lots of restaurants, fast food, a bar, home depot, costco, and Wal-Mart extremely close to the motel. It's a great place to stay. The rooms aren't big but they're still pretty clean and big enough to make you not feel cramped. Lots of pillows. Showers always have hot water any time of the day even over booked, like it was last week.

All services were great honestly would have been a 4/5 But for the tattered American flag flying out front, and a somewhat rude encounter with housekeeping but next day breakfast had plenty of options the cleanliness of the hotel was adequate and there's tons in the area for both entertainment and eateries.

Decent for price but no elevators!? A disabled person downstairs had no way of getting to his room! Also I felt bad for my partner who had to carry all the luggage up the stairs as it was too heavy for me.

First of all wanna say been coming here for years. Been very loyal customers sad to say we will no longer be coming. I was gonna go into detail but its that kids love pool slide will give them that. I'm gonna leave this one up to anybody that reads this check everything before u stay in your rm. Do not have a party there for any of your kids. And if u do stay I hope u have a good experience.

Rooms were adequate for the price. Great quality shampoo! Breakfast was hot eggs, sausage, and waffle machines along with all the regular cold things — very cool. Here's my reason for only 4 stars: pool was cloudy, hot tub was foamy, and the "life guard" was reading a book. But the water slides we're fast and fun!

First of all let me be fair and say that the accommodations are what one might expect for a two and a half star hotel. The accommodations we're comfortable and adequate for our needs for this particular stay. One major concern that stands out and is worth noting was that despite some 18 people in the pool area the Lifeguard on duty was curled up in his chair with a good book to read. He seem to look up every few minutes or so to see if the children were okay. Children were swimming within feet of the end of the waterslides while other children and adults were rocketing through the opening. The Lifeguard being only some four feet away did not seem to notice or care. When I raised the issue with the front desk I was told there was no manager to speak with at that time and that they were not required to have a lifeguard on duty in the first place. In the morning I was able to speak with the general manager and was told the situation would be addressed.

Sad building, not recently renovated and clean but not really. There were stains on the curtains and chips in the wood on the bedside table. The windows had a view of roadside trash, and it was hard to sleep or get any peace and quiet with people talking and TVs coming on at 5am, let alone the sound of honking horns and traffic. The indoor pool and hot tub had nothing special to offer. The slides were ok for a couple minutes, until you get up them and see the hair on the steps and the overall uncleanliness. The service was friendly and fine. There was breakfast offered in the morning, again nothing special about this. Nothing was freshly prepared, probably from the Walmart across the street. Overall, this is a fine place to stay for a night or two, at them most. It satisfied us at least while we were staying in Tacoma. But honestly if you're looking for deluxe, this is not the place.

I do not Recommend this hotel at all. The website pictures look nice! But that is not what the hotel is very misleading. Front desk personnel was very rude and they lie. I booked it though Expedia. When I call to confirm I still had reservations they said yes and told me with paying cash there is a 40.00 deposit and you will receive THAT back. BUT not true its $200.00 cash deposit. We get the room with the kids and there was a weird smell. So I told the front desk. They said it will get fixed, the pool was very dirty and not clean at all. The rooms are small and not nice. So in the morning I packed up all the stuff in the room and all the housekeeping had to do was replace the bedding and dump garbage. At check out the lady leaves the desk without saying anything comes back and asked me if I smoked I told her I cant smoke because of health issues then tells me there not giving my $200.00 deposit back because of a smell that I complained about when I first got there. So a 98.00 room turned into a 298.00 and it not worthy the problems. You be better off going anywhere else.

Kids loved the water park. The staff and lobby was nice and helpful! Rooms are clean, and parking is great.

Worst place I stayed in a while. Check in was the only good experience she was nice. But the hotel inside is dark no elevators. 1st floor looks like a dungeon. Room cramped. Didint get room cleaned till 4pm in the afternoon had to leave the room with my family sit in there dinning room so they can finally clean. They took towels earlier didint get new towels till I called front desk at 2 pm got tired of waiting4 towels. Breakfast found hair in my waffle batter told breakfast lady she just poured that cup out an brought it back YUK! Pool had sand all in it an the " life guard on duty is pointless" she sat on her phone or read a book the whole time. Me an my family will never b going back worst experience ever. I myself work at a red lion an I know how it's pose to b I'm surprised this place gets business.

Hotel was ok. Our room smelled of smoke and body odor, so we had to run the air nonstop to get rid of the smell. The pool is cool and has its own water slide and lifeguard on duty, but we didn't swim in it. Other guests were smoking pot in their rooms and the smell wafted into the hallways. If they cleaned it up a bit and prevented the smoking in-room it would have been a more enjoyable stay.

Decent stay for a quick trip. Good rates and friendly staff. The room didn't have a chair and they don't have cribs available for babies but other than that it was completely suitable for my me, my husband and our 3mos baby. We got a room facing the hiway and you can definitely hear the traffic, so if that bothers you, I'd ask for a room facing the parking lot when you book. Overall I'd recommend for its proximity to lots of food, I5, and close proximity to Seattle without the Seattle prices.

I do NOT recommend this hotel at all! First of all the pictures on the website are VERY misleading. When u drive up it looks like a two-story apartment bldg. There is NO elevator so u have to carry your own bags up or down the stairs and trust me… they don't offer to help. The rooms have a moldy smell. It is without a doubt. The worst experience I have ever had! I did not stay. I canceled and demanded my money back. It was filthy and stains on bedding. Maria at the front desk was very unfriendly, no Custer service skills! This is definitely NOT worth the $200 per night. We went right down road to Courtyard for $160… very clean and good customer service.

Customer service was great I have no complaints on them. The room was smaller than I thought it'd be. I got a non-smoking room but when I use the fan in the restroom it smell cigarettes. And I wish there was a little more directions to where the pool was I felt slightly lost.

This used to be Super 8… it is misleading because you believe that it is the standard of a red lion when in actuality it's still the standard of Super 8 with a new name. The room had a very odd smell it was extremely small. And furthermore the ice machine is to stories down. If I was only paying $100 maybe I wouldn't complain but I paid almost $200 for this room and its equivalent to the Super 8 definitely will not be staying here again at least for that price. One positive comment though the beds are comfortable but the pillows are really flimsy and at least three to equal one pillow.

Waterslide is a great perk! Hot tub was overly chlorinated, but what can you expect — at least it's chlorinated. Breakfast was great. You can expect one meat and eggs on any given day. Also had biscuits, bagels, donuts, bread, sausage gravy, yogurt, three types of cereal, milk, hot tea, a coffee station, and three types of juice. Great value for the area and time of year. Close proximity to Wild Waves, though the walk would be able 15-30 minutes and could be quite dangerous for larger families with small kids — Red Lion is very close to the I-5 N/S and WA-18 E/W interchange. I would have stayed here all five days during my family's transition if they had availability.

Mixed feelings. Fridge in the room made a noise the entire time we were there, so it sounded like coffee percolating ALL night. The walls are super thin, and felt just like home with the upstairs room (kids possibly) pounded on our ceiling until after 11pm. The TV has some kind of sleep setting, so the picture goes dark after three seconds of use (unless you keeping changing the volume consistently), so much so you can't really see the screen — told the front desk and their re…sponse was "we've been told this before, strange, " so my question is — if you know about it, why not fix it? The comforter had a BIG stain on it — ewww — — (put it on the floor and used my own blanket) and The beds were lumpy. The breakfast was amazing and the kids enjoyed the pool — however, it did close early? All in all, I wasn't impressed at all with the hotel, and our next Wild Waves trip we will most likely stay at another one that is cheaper.

Decent room, but was kind of small and cramped compared to other hotels I've been in at a similar price point. Room was very clean and modern, and everything worked fine. Check-in was a bit off-putting since the guy working never once actually looked at me during the whole process. I'm no diva, and usually prefer to go unnoticed in most situations, but was a bit awkward in this particular instance. One thing I gotta give kudos for is the fact that they do not have tiny little soap/shampoo bottles, but a fixed dispenser instead. Saves on tons and tons of waste and is more convenient to use while in the shower rather than fiddling with the micro sized lids. I once worked with a guy who had tiny hands, so he would not experience the true benefit of this dispenser system, but that aside, it's a solid system. Also, this hotel is located directly next to a Walmart. Determining whether that is a benefit or not is up to you to decide.

Older hotel. Rooms could use updating. However, the great staff makes up for what was lacking in the rooms. Excellent breakfast! Pool was great. The Lifeguard staff was EXCELLENT! Pool was busy both nights we were there and the Lifeguard on both 6/16 and 6/17 did an awesome job with all the guests using the pool! Great job guys!

My family and I had a fabulous get a way here at the Red Lion Inn. It's not as fancy as other Red Lion Inns that we have stayed at, but it is also priced right-low rates & family friendly. We loved the bath tub warm pool water & water slides! The breakfast was good & there are several different restaurants near by to choice from as well. I also liked that Costco & Walmart were near by too! My only complaint is that there was a lot of freeway noise, being that it's right off of the freeway-you can hear semi trucks passing throughout the night.

As Red Lion's go, this hotel is disappointing, for the price, also disappointing. The only plus is the comfort of a red lion bed, nothing will beat that! I think they just took this place over from a Super 8 (saw sign near the truck lot), and it reminds me of a run down Super 8 … most of the furniture is chipped and old, chairs saggy and creaky, carpets old … I could go on, but you get the point.
a/c crapped out within 30 mins of turning it on, desk said not much they could do, good thing it was only 100+ outside that day! hotel itself was clean, bed comfy … that is my positive asked for disabled room when I made the reservation, and again when checking in, was given a room that we had to go down stairs to get to, and where I was told to park, we had to go up 1/2 a flight of stairs, then down 1/2 flight of stairs to get to room … what part of disabled do they not understand? seriously, don't slap a Red Lion sign on the door if you're not ready to offer the niceties expected from one. I will not stay at this hotel again, many others in the area much nicer, at a better price.

We stayed here soley for the purpose of using the pool and waterslides for my son's birthday. Upon walked in, there was an overwhelming smell of air freshner, like the "Crisp Linen" fragrance. The lobby/breakfast area looked nice, like it just received a facelift recently. Our room was clean, and comfortable. There was some damage to the end table and a handle on the dresser was broken. The bathroom was clean, but the finish work looked like it was slammed together quickly, without much care. Our room was right next to 348th, so the traffic was loud all night, which was expected when we booked. The rooms aren't very sound proof, so you could here all the comings and goings of other guests in the hallways all night long. Didn't lend for a goodnights rest. Also, a note about the room keys, multiple times during our stay the keys wouldn't work, on either our room, or the exterior door coming back from the pool, which sucked as we were soaking wet and stuck outside until other guests let us in. Upon going to the front desk, they said, "Oh, did you keep the key with your cellphone? Yeah, that deactivates them. " Which seems silly as most folks keep their keys and phone in their pockets together. The pool area was fun, we and our sons enjoyed it. There are some pretty staunch rules around the slides, and they are only available when their lifeguard is present, which is a few hours out of the day. All in all, the stay was okay. But very fun for our kids, which is why we came.

Rooms are really small. Not clean at all. Don't even have coffee maker in a room. I would never stay there again neither would recommend for anybody. Way overpriced for the value.

I'm a truck driver, so I'm typically easy to impress when it comes to sleeping anywhere that provides more room than the inside of my truck. It's Very easy to get a big rig into their lot. Lots of room back there. There's a rather sudden 10-12% grade up to the lot. (Just a guess) So you'll want to hit it in 2nd or 3rd gear. It's definitely the best hotel I've stayed at with 6 years over the road. -The bed is an absolute dream. — -it is an absolute dream- But, the air is unlike anything I've ever had to deal with inside a hotel. It feels very humid in here. But, not quite the same miserable humidity you'll get outside. It's really thick, too. They have a "dry" setting on the AC, so that kind of helps.

This red lion is undergoing some renovations. It's nowhere near the standards of your usual red lion "feel" but they are trying. Nice tile in bathroom, sparkly counter top, nice fixtures, good bed. Furniture was somewhat modern but not in the greatest condition and was supposed to be "soft close" but they were damaged and barely even closed. Horrible mini fridge froze everything in it. House keeping needs improvement. Same breakfast during our entire stay. No elevator. Costs extra to use their pool/swim area. Only half the staff are nice, other half are sarcastic and rude. Very convenient location, however loud freeway noise.

Came for the new pool slides… Nice small swimming area. However the pool seems to be occupied by the employees families frequently. It is pretty irritating and annoying having CHILDREN Swim up to you telling you what you can and can not do. We came to relax and have fun, pretty hard to enjoy I must say. Also some proper attire would be nice for the pool, the families of hr employees are swimming in white spaghetti strapped tank tops that are very visible on the female bits.

Usually we stay at "cheaper" hotels, but my husband and I decided to stay somewhere nicer but still affordable. Red lion is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in! The staff is always helpful and friendly and the rooms are always nicely kept and clean! One manager even helped me to my room when I didn't have enough hands to carry my husband & i's breakfast! I highly recommend this to any family, couple or single person!

The gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my grandkids had an Unforgettable AWSOME time! The new indoor Waterslides they put in with the remodel they had done are AMAZING, I can't Thank the Red Lion enough for their Superb Hospitality… he didn't knw til afterwards this wld be the last time the kids get to see their mom for at least 4-6 MO and I am Pleased to say I know they won't forget the last night they got to spend with their Mother all thanks to the Red Lion Federal Way and their staff… THANK YOU.

Can you say amazing water slides and hot tub. Great get away for kids, loved the yummy breakfast. Upon entering hotel smelled so nice and clean and the rooms where absolutely amazing and most comfortable beds. Thanks will stop by again.

Amazing indoor mini water park. Loved the slides and hot tub, amazing staff, great breakfast. Best part was super clean rooms and loved being so close to many restaurants.

Does not meet the expectations of a Red Lion Hotel. The fact you have to pay an additional 25 dollars to use the pool is absolutely ridiculous. Seriously the place is like somebody slapped a coat of red paint on a super 8… stay away from this place unless you just want to spend your night pissed off and disappointed.
