Sleep Inn and Suites in Winchester, VA is absolutely disgusting and not clean. I booked with Booking. Com, however my review wasn’t able to be posted due to not following guidelines. And the reason it wasn’t posted was because I stated the hotel reeked of marijuana (weed. ) And it was my understanding that the entire hotel was 100% smoke free. We immediately cancelled our reservation and will not be back. Please save yourself the troubles we went though.

Nice room and best of all a golden corral breakfeast buffet right next door.

Good nights sleep! Great place has Golden Corral next door and Costco gas across the road.

We did find a half eaten apple in the cabinet under the TV. Looks like a child may have tucked it away for safekeeping. All the staff said was "oh thank you". Oh well.

Love this hotel. The front desk is great and the room is clean comfortable and quiet. This is our 3rd stay here and it is the best. Our thanks to the management… our bed was super comfortable.

My husband and I and our two small children under the age of 3 stayed last night, upon first glance the room didn’t look to bad. I did notice that the bathroom floor had been half hazardously repaired but didn’t pay much attention until I noticed after taking a shower it felt like there was little splinters of glass in my foot! My two year olds little foot was even bleeding a little (you could see blood in where she had stepped) called the front desk and was told lots of rooms have broken tiles, when I told her there were shards of tile on the floor and they were cutting us she told me lots of the rooms have that too and to throw a towel over it! I was so angry we just left! She had a very bad attitude it was really just an unreal experience.

Very impressed. Clean, which is very important to me. Beds were super comfy. Staff was very pleasant.

I don't have much to say. The motel is clean and everything worked. Quiet. Generally friendly staff. Good breakfast. There's an indoor pool, which I didn't use. Convenient location. Golden Corral is next door, if you like that.

Close to 81 making it convenient to get to, but also increases traffic noise. Friendly staff. Older hotel, could use some upgrades. Bed was comfy though. Floors must be paper-thin because as soon as we got to our room with our kids, the people below were calling in a noise complaint.

The mattress was firm and very comfortable. The room was very clean and well presented. The breakfast was serviceable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay. Hotel well maintained. There was some problems with someone being booked in the same room, but that was a computer glitch. The staff and manager apologized. As a courtesy he credited back half our nights stay.

I stayed here last week for one night and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The beds were SO clean and comfortable. The rooms were also clean and had awesome AC. The breakfast was really yummy and had pretty good options. Their fruit, coffee and fruit juices were my favorite part. The employees are very friendly and it’s such a welcoming place to be. I did get rid of one star only because the pool is pretty small and the steps going into it are slippery so be careful. I would have loved to have had a hot tub like other hotels. Also that our TV in our room and the remote did not work together. The remote kept going in and out, even though the red light was on. I definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to stay there in the near future again!

Good location for restaurants and other services in Winchester. Breakfast could be better but a good value overall.

Had a good stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and well furnished. Breakfast had a good mix of options. Only complaint is that the front desk was not staffed when we tried to check in so we had to wait for 10—15 minutes.

Nice people. Car broke down and had to stay 3 extra nights and they gave a discount rate without me asking. Clean breakfast area.

Decent place to stay, but our room smelled like cleaner really strong I could barley stand it! My husband insisted that it wasn't that bad and that it was fresh paint. I don't like that you can't even crack a window, so I opened the door and tried to fan some out with the bathroom door :/

Well maintained, very clean, ample parking, very friendly staff, tastefully decorated and a good breakfast. We enjoyed our overnight stay in a double queen room. My only suggestion would be to have a small table in the room where two people could sit and enjoy a snack, play cards or read. Otherwise, our stay was restful and enjoyable.

Well kept property convenient to I-81 exit. Restaurants near by and several big brand gas stations nearby. Shopping mall adjacent.

Stayed here with my little girl traveling home from vacation. Walked to buffet restaurant next door for a great meal with a hotel discount. When we returned my daughter was not feeling well and manager quickly offered items from kitchen that might help. Room was clean, quiet and spacious. Breakfast was good with hot options. Although pool was closed for service we had a wonderful stay and had everything we needed.

Staff was polite and helpful. We checked in late at night and the front desk attendant had been working longer than normal shifts. He was helpful with the surrounding area information and polite. — — On checking out we briefly saw a different attendant in the morning who was also polite even after we notified her of a problem with the room. The room itself was clean and beds made. Of particular concern with the room was the fact that the door deadbolt was misaligned. It took a good bit of upward force on the door to get it to lock. The bathroom was not fully cleaned. It looked as if the grout between the tiles has never been scrubbed. Like they just come in with a mop and go over the floor. It was easy to tell because the floor grout looked filthy over most of the floor, and really light colored in the no traffic areas. There was mold growing at the base of the tub and I doubt they have used any bleach or other santizer to clean these corner areas which is why it was there. The water pressure and temperature was great! They also have two different lights in the the bathroom a bright main light and a dimmer secondary light. When we booked the room we asked for options for non-smoking and quiet room. We were placed on the third floor and in a non-smoking room. From what I could tell there were no other guests next to us and the room was quiet like we asked for.

Time of visit the pool was out of service (for 2 months according to the sign). Room was clean, breakfast was hot and free (sausages, eggs waffles, cereal etc)

We were not happy with our stay at this motel. Had expected to get the coupon discount as we stay over on a Tues. Night and checked in at 4:10 p. M. The pool was under construction and the noise from the use of water in the adjoining rooms as well as our's was annoying. We could here the patrons above us walking around in their rooms as well. Not a pleasant stay. PS — Breakfast was good.

The exterior grounds were not well maintained, trash in the parking lot, landscaping / bushes in sad shape, disabled car in back parking lot, etc. I've stayed here twice in the past month and on both occasions upon entering the rooms I was overwhelmed by the heavy use of deodorizer. There are both smoking and non-smoking rooms on the 4th floor which means you have to walk a hallway that smells like an ashtray on the way to your non-smoking room which reeks of deodorizer. After staying here on two occasions, I won't return.

EXTREMELY RUDE front desk woman in mornings. Called to book one night in their Jacuzzi room. Lady picks up. I inform her I would like to know their availability for the night. Her response" I have no clue but I have someone in front of me so youll need to hold"… then after a few minutes " Can I have your number im gonna have to call you back". I get better customer service at a 1 star hotel.

Not the best. Very small room. Noisy air conditioner. Very poor complimentary breakfast with no scrambled eggs or sausage gravey. Good friendly staff service.

I travel to Winchester a lot and this is my go to hotel as it is the best in the area for efficiency, comfort, cleanliness and has a convenient location just off I-81 & US 50. Easy in and out. There are several restaurants, stores in the immediate area. There is a COSTCO across the street and a Golden Corral next door. There are also several other hotel chains in the area so there is a good bit of competition. I have stayed in most of them and this Sleep Inn is the best. The hotel itself is very nice with lots of amenities like indoor pool, exercise room, separate office computer room. We had large room with 2 queen beds along with mini refrigerator & flat screen TV. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom is fairly large with lots of towels & the shower is modern with good water pressure. Our room was clean as was the bathroom. This hotel is very well run as all the common areas such as the lobby, the breakfast room and the elevator were all in good shape and clean. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful and the hotel well run. Check in and out was fast and efficient. the only con is probably the breakfast. The breakfast room was not very large and the continental breakfast was only average at best. There is room for improvement in this area.

This place was very uncomfortable. The smell that lingers through the hotel is wretched. It smells like the most sinister perfume and cigarette smoke. The smell is very nauseating and induces headaches. My entire family of 4 was popping Tylenol before bed as every breath made you want to gag. We requested a non smoking room… but as soon as you enter the slow and smelly elevator you get hit with the stench. The room directly across the hall and beside our room were smoking rooms. My younger brother hanging over the toilet gagging, and no I am not exaggerating. We went to the front counter with our concerns where they sort of just laughed and said it wasnt the first time. They sent us to to the only other room 3 doors down. We walked in there and the smell was even more intense. We requested more pillows as they only have small half sized pillows, 4 per bed queen bed. We requested more as well as a bedsheet that would hopefully fit the bed. We were brought the most wrinkly of bed sheets… and a larger pillow, that stunk like it had been in a closet for a long, long time. It was atrocious. Do not stay here unless you enjoy the intoxicating smell of cigarettes and very horrible old lady perfume.

A good value for a one-night stay while driving between Florida and upstate NY. The Sleep Inn brand has adopted a new interior design plan, so this location looks exactly like other Sleep Inns we've stayed at recently. The paint and decor are new and fresh. Our room with a king bed was comfortable and everything worked as it should. The gym was open 24 hours, which my husband enjoyed, stretching muscles stiff from 8 hours in the car. Breakfast was good, with the buffet typical of the Choice Hotels chain, except they offered only sausage patties and waffles for a hot meal, the only eggs being hard-boiled and chilled. I would stay here again.

The beds were comfy the staff was helpful and breakfast was delicious.

Damp/Humid Room, Broken Bathroom Floor tiles The beds were nice and the room was spacious. Our room was clean upon arrival, and the hotel itself was very quiet too. We were however a little disappointed in the quality of our room. Many of the tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked, broken or loose. There were several that were completely loose and just put back into place. The climate of the room was odd. It was SO humid in the room! We kept turning the air conditioner cooler and cooler, but it didn't seem to help! The air, the bed, the carpet, everything just had a damp feeling about it. It was so weird. At first I thought maybe our room was directly above the pool, but it wasn't so I'm not sure what the explanation was for our room feeling so damp and humid.

Good value. It's halfway on my drive between home in GA and visiting family in NH; across the street from Costco for a good gas price and cheap dinner, and it has a good breakfast with hot food. Rooms are fairly clean and spacious. Make sure you book ahead 6-8 weeks for the best price and lower floor.

It was a comfortable and quiet stay. However, the hallway smelled a bit like smoke and the one staff member was not very friendly. It has a small pool, which was nice. The breakfast was a basic continental plus waffles and sausage as their hot items.

The "non-smoking" room was on a hall of smoking rooms. We woke up smelling like an ashtray. Uncharacteristic of Sleep Inn.

What a crappy hotel. People yelling and shouting in lobby at 2 am. I called the front desk and the clerk did not even care and did nothing about it. $80 a night for nothing at all. The breakfast is very boring and not much to choose from. Dirty towels in my room had stains all over them. Got up in morning to check out and had no hot water and the internet is extremely slow and acts like dial up speeds. I will never stay at this hotel when I am in Winchester again. This hotel needs some better staff members and ones who seem to care about the customer.
