Family and dog friendly. Floors were wood vs carpet for pet rooms which is a fabulous idea! Our room was ground floor and close to the exit making walking the dogs great. Just wish there was a poop bag garbage. Other pet owners just left their dog’s business wherever it happened. Pool was ok. Not too warm but my youngest loved it. Breakfast was grab and go but we’re able to order some items. Friendly staff. Lots of places near by. Would definitely stay again.

Pool had a light hanging. Didn’t appear to be installed properly. There were wires hanging. Serious safety concerns. Loose and cracked tiles in our bathroom, and the fridge door was hanging.

Beds were comfortable, room and hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful.

Got to ck in early and the staff was great. The hotel was amazing and very clean. The cookies were delicious and hotel was close to restaurant and movie theater. I recommend this hotel and will stay again.

Spot on from start to finish. Convenient location, close to Interstate, nearby restaurants and gas stations. Large, well lit parking area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean, welcoming lobby with fresh baked cookies and lemonade. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. Lots of options. Eady check in and out. Great rates.

We stayed at this hotel last night will needing to be in Winchester va for 2 different days for dr visits and family. Very friendly and helpful staff from front deck through out hotel. The location is nearby the main roadway. In the area there are many restaurants and stores. The room was large and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious; rosemary potatoes and sausage.

Decent hotel in a convenient location. Stayed here after a trip to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Lots of interesting sights to see in the area, so definitely worth a visit! The room was very clean and well furnished. Very spacious bathroom. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area!

It's our first time staying here and it's superb! Its not a big of hotel but it's very clean and stuff are courteous. Dog friendly. We we're able to bring our dog. The room we had was 2 double or queen (i really am confuse of difference) and there's also a sleeper sofa. There's a pool with hot whirl tub and there's option of breakfast included and their breakfast run until 1030 am. Overall very satisfied and we looking forward to return again. Highly recommended! Tip: the toiletries provided were tiny bottles. We have not tried requesting for more but I'm sure they will be happy to provide more. Just in case, you may want to bring your own.

The actual hotel was great. HOWEVER… when you are the "host hotel" for a hockey tournament, a little noise is to be expected. Putting the kids on a lower floor would have been a much smarter move. And the staff was quite rude when they spoke to the kids. Might want to keep in mind that they are future customers. I understand that the hotel was busy, but you can never be too busy to treat kids with the same courtesy and dignity shown to adults.

Very clean. Laminate floors in room instead of nasty carpet. Very accommodating for pets. Breakfast choices were wonderful. Will definitely stay there again!

I was very impressed with my stay at this hotel. It looks like it was recently renovated and everything was immaculate. The front desk people were very friendly. The cleaning staff was helpful in getting me extras that I needed. The people in charge of the continental breakfast were very friendly. I stayed here for my birthday and it was a most pleasant experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.

We visited the Country Inn & Suites unexpectantly due to a tire issue that left us stranded on Hwy 81 South. With the assistance of Highway Patrol, we made it to the first hotel, the Country Inn & Suites. The staff there did everything they could to make this unfortunate event less stressful. We felt they went above and beyond what is necessary in their jobs to lessen the difficult situation we faced. If I am ever in need of a place to stay on Hwy 81, I would make it a point to plan my trip accordingly. The room was a King with a pullout couch and was very spacious. The hotel was emasculate both inside and out. The decor throughout was modern and appealing. Even the housekeeping staff was involved in our interaction and made our stay more pleasant. The breakfast was exceptional and much more expensive than most. It is difficult to give this hotel 5 stars because thanks to the thoughtful staff, they deserve much more.

Had a wonderful nights stay for no other reason than to get away for a night. Stayed in a clean and spacious suite with plenty of room, separate lounging area from sleeping area. Beverly and everyone at the front desk were extremely welcoming and service oriented. The location is ideally situated by an Alamo Drafthouse, Outback Steakhouse and Green Turtle for entertainment. Also conveniently right off Interstate 81. Complementary breakfast, coffee, and cookies are available for all guests.

Clean hotel with refreshed interior and ample options such as the pool and fitness area. Breakfast was good, but the rotating menu left us a little unsure of what to expect. Coffee bar had everything you could want within reason. VERY comfortable bed and furniture in the room, definitely could be used for a night of desk work without breaking your back. Only downside was weak bathroom vent fan that didn’t do much more than buzz, and seemed to let through more noise from the next room over than anything. Very friendly staff! Would recommend for a night or the week.

Very clean. Amazing night staff. Fun and easy. Free cookies at the front. Pillows are small. I enjoyed it. My bf has some issues with the staff. Staff kept saying we were smoking and we don’t even smoke but whatever it’s all good. Other reviews said bugs but I didn’t see any. Pool is fun! You get a microwave and fridge which is awsomeeee! Windows open too!

Staff nice. Pillows suck. Asked for stiffer pillows and they told us to come down to front desk to get better ones. They were the same exact ones as the ones in the room. The pool was nice, minus the 20+ screaming teenage girls practicing their cheer routine in the pool. The cookies and free coffee were nice touches. Decor a bit out of touch and cold but it's not worth the $170 per night charge for two queen beds.

We had a suite. The room was large and clean. Beds were great. Comfortable, big, quality linnens, fat pillows. Pool was clean, hot tub was good and hot. Breakfast had cheese omelets which were very fluffy and tastey and polish sausage which was a nice change from the usual breakfast sausage. Definitely would stay again. Kids enjoyed the extra space of the large room. We have been traveling this week and some of the other places we stayed were very small.

Pet room stunk and felt humid. Pets can't be left in room unattended. Breakfast and coffee bar we're good. Pool and hot tub were pleasant and open till midnight. Staff were courteous.

We had a horrible experience this weekend. This hotel is not kid friendly and complained when our gymnastics team was laughing in the pool area because it could be heard in the lobby. The air in our room would not work, making it so stuffy and hard to sleep. One family in our group reported bugs in their bed. The next morning the breakfast was not ready on time and when we went in to sit down to wait, the lady preparing it was extremely rude. She started huffing and puffing and slinging stuff around. I went to the front desk and reported her behavior and both girls just looked at me and neither moved an inch. The ladies poor attitude continued towards our entire team as she kept walking in and out and slamming stuff around. At one point she stepped in front of me in line and I quickly moved and she then went around the back of me and burned my arm with the pan of sausage she was holding. This is probably one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. We will never go back to them again. A formal complaint to corporate is in order.

Bed bugs and the hotel's response to them made anything beyond a 1-star review impossible. I came here with a large group, and to our horror multiple people ended up with bed bugs in their rooms. It was an extremely uncomfortable and stressful situation. The hotel said they treated the rooms where bugs were found, but I was left to attempt decontamination of my own stuff and wasn't offered any compensation.

I was booked at this hotel for work with a group of about 20. After a couple of nights I reported to the front desk that I was waking up with bites. They moved me to a new room where I continued to get bitten. A few days later the hotel had a company come check for bed bugs. Both of my rooms had bed bugs and several other rooms in my group had them as well. The hotel heat treated the rooms but refused to help with any other items or my vehicle that was contaminated. Once the manager found out that our company was moving us to a new hotel she then was extremely unprofessional and emotional. Do not stay here! You will regret it!

The room was clean, though there was some long hairs on the bathtub. Service was great and definitely would stay again. Great to be so close to everything.

Clean room. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice staff. Substantial choices for breakfast. They are doing some remodeling work but other than a sign saying as much and one maintenance guy working on a side entrance, we weren't bothered by anything. Strong cleaner smell in hallway but the bedroom had no odor. Overall, very happy and will stay here again on our next Winchester trip. I don't hand out 4 stars often.

The room was nice, and clean, but the air conditioning didn't work very effectively. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a spacious layout. Staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was quite good, with the exception of the fresh fruit, which had been to ferment. The other options were delicious though — — scrambled eggs, make-your-own waffles, cereal, juice, coffee, and pastries. I would stay here again.

The hotel staff was very nice and they knew what they were doing. I've stayed at this hotel a few times with my family before and I've never had a problem. The breakfast was pleasent. The rooms are clean and I've never had a problem.

Our stay is always pleasant, and the staff is always very kind and helpful. We stay here frequently and the in-room fridge and microwave is useful. The proximity to a 7-11 and gas station makes it a good location during a road trip.

I have stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Winchester for two weddings now and have loved the experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We requested an extra blanket pretty late at night and the housekeeping was very extremely nice. I always enjoy our stay at this hotel and plan to come back again.

Rooms were clean. The service was exceptional. Each problem or concern the Desk service handled well and were informative and helpful. Love love Country Inn and Suites.

We just stayed the one night while driving through to our trip down south. Clean, friendly and good breakfast. The family suit was perfect for our family of five.

My favorite hotel to stop at to and from CT. The hotel is emaculate and very well kept up. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The front desk staff are very hospitable as well as housekeeping and the staff in the breakfast area. A delicious buffet as well. Thank you, Country Inn and suites. Looking forward to my next visit.

The staff is very good the rooms are well maintained but don't stay for a long time pool is great the main negatives are if you face the interstate it's loud and you can't see many mountains good hotel not good location.

Always love Country Inn and Suites with their consistently comfortable beds and roomy suites. All 4 of us were very comfortable and enjoyed the privacy of the door between the living room and the bedroom. The only experience that was different about this location was the polyester bedspreads, which I don't prefer. I only mention it for next time they acquire new ones. Please go with the more natural fibers. Thanks.

I stayed here for a little over a week while I closed out a rental townhome in preparation for a move to another state. The staff, from housecleaning to the front desk, are ultra nice and accommodating. Never failed to greet guests with a smile. We stayed in two types of rooms — one with two queen beds and the other a single king — both very comfortable and clean. No problems with the microwave or refrigerator. I never used the coffee pot because I just picked up fresh coffee from the foyer where it was offered free. We kept the air conditioning unit at 70 during the day and 65 at night so we could cover up with the comforter at night (it's beginning of June). The air conditioning unit is loud so we did have to play a game of turning up the TV when it came on and then turning down the TV when it shut off so we didn't blast our neighbors away — but totally doable and only a minor inconvenience. There are more troublesome things to worry about these days. I used the guest laundry room and other than guests leaving powdered detergent in the bleach dispenser, both the dryer and washer worked just fine. You can't add liquid fabric softener to the wash because the lid locks, so bring one of those downy balls if you want to do this.

Food stains in the microwave, condom wrapper under the heat/ac unit, baby products left under the bed, three inches of dust in the bathroom fan, and thick black mold on the sink lip. For some dumb reason my company thinks that this is a good place to stay for extended periods. Not an extended stay place at all (shoe box fridge). It is a newer building where an old crazy cat lady designed the rooms, nice staff, and very quiet (except when the maids are in the hallway). Only good for a couple of nights.

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites twice within a two week period and were very happy with our room. Both times we used the $69 coupon in the Roomsaver booklet available free at the rest area. The first time we got a King Room which was very clean and nice. The second time we were upgraded to a King Suite Room with microwave and minirefrigerator and sofa. The bed and pillows were great and I slept like a baby. The free hot breakfast is excellent with scrambled eggs, toast, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogourt, coffee, etc. Margo, the desk clerk, was wonderful and efficient and very helpful. Excellent value. I actually hated to leave this hotel and it is a home away from home for me.
