Worst hotel experience Ever! We had our bank account over charged hundreds of dollars, the staff was unhelpful in rectifying their multiple mistakes. Our checkin was delayed for over an hour at midnight with screaming children in the car after our trip took 3 more hours due to inclement weather. The weather wasn’t their fault but my children crying for an hour just needing to be put to bed is. Then after reluctantly fixing their mistakes they charged us for the full stay again — I should mention it was on points and should have never been charged. Again managers hid from us until my husband contacted the bonvoy elite hotline and they could finally be bothered to send the correct fax to fix their mistake. Then our check out was delayed by 5 hours, meaning our trip home is delayed by 5 hours which is just so hard with small children. The cause of this delay was the simple fax — requiring just 3 items, was done incorrectly by management. The ineptitude and callousness was appalling!

The bathroom was not clean, mildew in the shower, and toilet. The shower curtain and linen shower were dirty.

Great place to stay. Worth the money I feel.

Don’t stay here while under renovation. Noise is awful and customer service here is even worse!

This is a newly remodeled hotel and it is very well done the lobby was clean the hallways were bright and clean the room is big well laid out and clean plenty of free parking the breakfast offered a wide variety of food to select from and enough seating to accommodate all very comfortable and convenient to all of the areas amenities helpful and friendly staff… would definitely stay here again…

Ms Kelly along with the rest of the staff was super friendly and polite. The room was awesome because it had a REAL ac, I was able to freeze out my mother and son so I was to get a good night sleep. Very clean and the hot water works like no other! Enjoyed my stay and all that came with it. PS. The hot breakfast was on point every morning.

We had to evacuate the Outer Banks, NC because of hurricane Florence so we decided to stay here since we've had positive experiences with Residence Inns in the past. This location offered us the same pleasant accommodations and friendly staff as the others. Will definitely stay here again when we pass through on our travels.

This hotel is pretty much a typical American hotel. Large rooms, good service, and comfortable beds. I would recommend this for anyone, particularly for families. The only downside is the lack of services/activities.

This is a well-appointed, reasonably-priced, family/pet-friendly hotel with exceptional staff. Customer service is without equal; you feel like guests as the Ritz with how you are treated. The workers are friendly, do whatever it takes to earn your business, and use their resources to SERVE you. This hotel delivers, even when it is busy. While breakfast can be somewhat of a zoo, the lobby area is well-kept and orderly without minutes after shutting down for breakfast. Rooms are clean and spacious. The facility itself is modern enough; renovations are coming soon! Location is close to good restaurants and the outlets.

Friendly personnel and nice room. Can't give 5 stars because at 9am they were out of almost every breakfast items.

Had my sister who is in a wheelchair and had my dog with me. Rooms were great. They only have one room wheelchair accessible and dog friendly and it's next to elevator, kinda noisy. They planned to turned the water off, so we scheduled around that. Then changed at least minute, so we ended up leaving a day early. Did give us credit and very nice about it. Daily Breakfast was good, you could take it back to room. We were close to everything in Williamsburg.

The rooms are very nice. The beds are so comfy. The service here is outstanding. Everyone is so nice. And they treat my dogs amazing too. Lots of things for the kids to do. So it's a great place for everyone in the family including the furry babies.

May 2018. Made reservations weeks before and confirmed reservations by email and day before. I needed a roll away shower. We had a late check in after a 15 hour ride. They did not have the room ready. After 45 min, they had to give my family 2 sep rooms on different floors to meet my need for a roll on shower. We did have nice rooms and they did comp one of them. The maintenance man was awesome and the front desk dude really bent over backwards. We would deal with tomorrow after sleep. Next day we needed to be transferred to the correct room. I was given the card of manager only to be told he would not be in for 2 days. This transfer took until after noon. That was not the problem. The problem was the person who originally took reservation said it was not a guarantee that id get the room that I needed despite the confirmation by email stating exactly what I required with an explicit but nice notation that if accommodation not feasable, please let us know so we could cancel. She was adamant and indignant that I was wrong and she didnt have to give me anything and proceeded to say "well just check you out, then". I made it very clear that was not going to happen and that her threat was not going to be tolerated. Once she realized it was in her best interest to accommodate nothing more than what we had asked, we finally were transferred. It was a downgrade from other rooms but we were there really to sleep and shower as our day was spent with parents.

Stayed here two weeks, for a residence inn it has too many issues. My room doors didn't open like a normal door instead I had to turn the know up to open the door. Cleanliness 6/10 They clean very late during the day so those families that stay in the room don't get any servuce until 1or 2pm or 3pm. Breakfast is always good. Staff too.

The shower in my room did not have any hot water — after telling the front desk the same thing happened the next morning. The sofa has stains on it and the floor in the kitchen was sticky. So disappointing. Definitely will avoid this place in the future.

The staff was nice and attentive, and the room and common areas were clean overall. There were some aspects of the room that should probably be updated in the near future, but they didn't cause us any problems.

Room was clean and the staff was accommodating. We have the dogs and this is one of the only pet friendly hotels around, and they have helped with all of our requests related to the dogs.

Suite is great people are very friendly and breakfest is great.

The people were so friendly. They were dog friendly. Great breakfast in the morning. Next time we go to Williamsburg that is why we are staying.

Location is great to the main drag. Plenty of good food and shopping walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is clean and parking is pleantyful. The only real down side is the BEDS!. Well worn, and very soft, and in need of replacement ASAP! We has 2 queen suite with pull out. ALL were very bad. I can sleep anywhere on anything, and even I had a bit of trouble. The rest of the group wasn't happy. Breakfast was good. Pretty typical hotel Breakfast. Very clean eating area and self serve area. Good coffee. Which most hotels don't have…

Quiet, nice and the staff is so friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were noce and clean. The staff that cleaned our room each night left it spotless. They don't have an indoor pool but the sister hotel next door does so you can actually use that one.

Clean rooms/building, nice staff, low price. Outdoor pool is closed in winter, indoor pool is across at the Springhill Suites. Whatever!

It was a great stay. It's clean, with a nice breakfast, helpful staff, and it's close to activities/Colonial Williamsburg. They even have a setup that let us use the indoor pool at the hotel across the parking lot because they only have an outdoor pool.

Clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is nothing to write home about. Very close to great restaurants and 10 min away from tourist attractions. I'd stay here again.

Room was big, nice, and clean. We left our toiletry bag at home and they gave us toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, etc. Instead of just telling us to go to the CVS across the street. Breakfast was always good. A short drive away from colonial Williamsburg and Bush gardens. Great stay.

Nice staff, but hotel is ready for a refresh. Love the standard Marriot staples like great pillows and towels.

Service levels consistent with this kind of Marriott, but staff less helpful and knowledgeable than other locations we have been, at least during some times of the day.

This is a perfect hotel for saying one night or an extended time frame I love that I had a kitchen sitting room bedroom and bathroom. There is plenty of space and it was comfortable and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay.

Will not stay here again or recommend. Booked room 3 weeks in advance and specifically requested a corner room. The day of our arrival I called the hotel to once again remind them I requested a corner room and was assured one would be saved for us. When we checked in, no corner room had been saved and we did not get one. The room was tired… tears in the carpet and the television reception was not good. The internet was sooooo slow we gave up trying to use. Clearly not up to Residence Inn usual good standards.

One bedroom suite, is spacious for 2 couples. Breakfast included is a plus. The service at the front desk and breakfast bar is great. Maintenance is horrible they come knock on your door at 9:00 am, on your day off check out to be sure you are going to check out that day, then 30 minutes before the check out.

I always stay at Residence Inn when I'm away from home and this was the worst Residence Inn that I ever encountered. It was smelly… furniture was mixed matched… they even had window A. C. Units in some rooms. The carpet in our suite was filthy. I had NEVER seen any Residence Inn that looked like this one & I was very disappointed and have NO intentions on ever staying there again. For, this to be a tourist area Marriott really needs to update this Residence Inn… It's definitely not up to my standards.

I loved how intimate the place feels, including the outdoor pool and tennis court. A great add on was the free coffee and te all day in the lobby.

The manager I dealt with was an idiot. The rest of the staff was great, though. Very thin walls so don't expect a quiet stay.

Staff was wonderful — kind and attentive. This hotel just looks "tired". Couch and carpet in our room was stained and filthy. No luggage rack anywhere in the room so we had to put suitcases on the desks. No ice machines so we had to ask the front desk to fill our cooler. Spring Hill next door had the luggage rack and the ice machines. Not sure why Residence is lacking these. As I said, staff was very nice but the yucky carpet and sofa left me wondering how clean the rest of our room was.

Loved it! The staff went above and beyond — impeccable customer service! The room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed.

Kitchen, living area, separate bedroom behind a solid door. Very decent setup. Two major problems though. No vents in the bathroom/shower. So stays very warm after a shower. The air conditioner unit is in the bedroom and is very loud. The noise gave me a headache and I usually sleep through thunder storms.

I was in a 2 bedroom (one king two queens) with a kitchen suite. It's a very clean room and the appliances are pretty new save the TV. But the TVs were decent for what they are. The staff is so friendly. I was chatting with one during breakfast and they offered to make me waffles! I have never been treated with this much kindness before from a hotel chain. It's near great restaurants chain and local. If I'm ever back in Williamsburg again I will definitely be staying here again.

Checked into 2 standard rooms for Memorial Day weekend. Rooms were spacious and clean. No signs of bed bugs. We were given 3 sets of towels instead of four for 4 adults per room, which was odd. The breakfast was average. The waffle maker was not working correctly, which led guests to restart their batter or toss it out. Overall, good for the necessity.

This was by far the best hotel experience we have ever had. When we got there Shawna at the front desk was so nice and upgraded our room for us for free. Our room was very clean and large with comfy beds. They had a complimentary ice cream sundae bar at night. The breakfast was far better then expected. It was all around a great experience.

Absolute worst experience I have had at a hotel. First we arrived a little after midnight and were completely exhausted. There was a person checking in before us and she got her room and moved on. My turn came, gave my name and desk clerk immediately picked up the phone and called someone. The conversation between her and person on the phone was about our arrival and what should she do since they could not fix our room. The clerk then informs me after about 20 minutes that there was a problem with our room earlier and that they had been trying to fix it but it was still not ready. She stated they were booked and were calling around trying to find us a room elsewhere and could I wait on the side as she checked in another guest behind me. I told her that it was extremely rude that no one from this property called to inform me of this problem earlier. My family is now stuck in an area with no potential housing and it is now after 1am. I waited a few more moments as desk clerk called around. No rooms is all I heard. Second issue I spoke with an unsympathetic manager on the phone who left this desk clerk who stated she was from another hotel alone to work this problem out. Horrible!. Lastly they had a regular suite available that my family has to cram into until they come up with something else. Desk clerk did her best but we got to our room after 1:30am and there was no blanket for the pullout and no bath math. More delays. Never again!

We stopped by to check it out as we'll be staying there next week. Looks clean, well setup. The desk person was polite and helpful.

They were remodeling when I stayed here, but I liked it well enough! Staff was super friendly and gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste when I had forgotten mine.

O. Could do a better job) Small toilet Toilet seat barely tightened on the toilet Cobwebs Dusty Sticky kitchen cabinet surfaces I brought my own router to use instead of the hotel Wi-Fi. I plugged it into the wall Ethernet port… nothing. Very dissapointing.

Rooms look great, nice layout. Be forewarned though, this hotel allows pets and the room we stayed in was flea infested. We stayed 1 night and by the next morning my wife had bite marks all of her. I realized they allowed pets but it states they charge pet owners a sanitation fee and my assumption is that they sanitized the rooms before I stayed there, obviously not. I contacted Marriott customer service and 9 days since my email, nothing has been done. I expect more from Marriott because that is what I am paying for. — — Update — Corporate was of no help here but they did get in touch with the area manager who did contact me and at minimum after some argument refunded my stay. She stated that did have the room fumigated.

Great place to stay. We were arrivals that had been overbooked at another location, and Residence Inn staff went above and beyond to get us a place to sleep. We were group of 6, so it wasn't easy. The room was above what we hwd expected. Thanks RI!

Truly believe the staff tries here. My complaints really are the massive crowd at this hotel. First, it seems every room brought a dog with them. I love dogs, but my dog and not a hotel full of them barking every which way. Second, the breakfast crowd was unreal, not nearly enough seating and not nearly enough staff to try to turn tables over. I cleaned my own table with napkins and hot water there for tea. Then the pool, nice but quite small when there are 6 people in it not to mention 30. The infrastructure of the hotel common grounds simply can't accommodate the crowds. That's wrong! I guess the hotel would be nice if you went in the off-season, unless they pack it in with specials. I'd stay away.
