Location and comfortable beds were the only benefit here. No continental breakfast. Door had huge gaps which let in so much hallway light I struggled to sleep. Air unit was also too loud. No microwave in the room. Very overpriced. I would recommend going a further distance away for a better deal. The lobby seemed to have no air, don't know how the workers managed, it was hot!

This hotel. Is great for the price. Location is near lots of restaurants and 6 minutes from Bunch Gardens. Reception is courteous and check in was fast. Rooms are a bit dated and bathrooms are very small, but the air conditioning worked great and indoor pool was nice for the kids. Overall I would recommend for a family on a budget.

2 alarms went off in one night. Evacuation. Nobody would tell us what was going on. After The 2nd one, the manager told us it was a false alarm, Turned out to be a gas leak. A manager told us it was safe to go back in but the firemen told us to stay out of the building. Very irresponsible of the managers. Elevator was broken and an extension cord was plugged next to my room and down the hall, and hair in the bathtub. Never will stay there again.

Well the shower had mold and our a/c unit had ants on it and we had 2 fire alarms go off the middle of the night in the rain! Very disappointed. The manager told us it was a false alarm and to go back inside and we smelled gas we told them we were not going back in until the fire dept cleared us. Don't ever have a full motel and a gas leak and tell people to go back to their rooms. What if someone would have lit a match or something? Very irresponsible. Won't be staying here again EVER!

Amazing staff. Clean rooms and fun bar attached. Kristina and Charles at the front desk are amazing extremely helpful.

Clean, very nice, staff was great, and loved the indoor pool. We had a great time there.

Clearly an older hotel, but the price was right, the sheets were clean, showers hot, and the air conditioning worked. Room was very clean, including the bathroom. Check in was a breeze, no issues with my reservation. The pool was heavily chlorinated but also decently clean. I was very happy to find out that there is also an indoor hot tub! Towels readily available on deck and the pool was open late into the evening. Breakfast was alright. Coffee situation could be improved, currently serving instant coffee with breakfast. This hotel met my expectations exactly for a room at the 100$ ish price point, and I would stay again if I was looking for an inexpensive family freindly place.

Nice friendly and helpful staff. Nice work out facility. The rooms were clean, beds are comfortable. Although considering I travel for work I bring alot of items to heat up to eat the room had no microwave I would have had to walk all the way to the lobby to heat anything up which would've been a decent walk considering the elevator was broken at that time. Also I had a room facing the back of the building where I had no idea train tracks was directly behind the hotel. And yes trains still come thru.

The quality of the hotel was great, everything clean, thougg we did have a touch less toilet paper than expected, another roll was available at checkin. The staff was accommodating, and the location right off the eastern edge of Colonial Williamsburg couldn't have been better. The price point really stood out as exceptional over the other local offerings.

Have been to few, reasonably priced hotels, that can match the level of customer service. The staff is extremely helpful and personable. Though the hotel is definitely dated amenities wise, the property is very well maintained. The only complaint is that I noticed the lobby frequently smelled of cigarette smoke.

Clean, nice pool, pet-friendly, great location. But seriously lacking in security. Non-guest cars parked outside our window all night, lights on, loud… staff said they are local kids. Fire exit doors propped open to the outside let anyone in. Staff said it's been happening for years and they can't figure out who's doing it.?

The beds we're super comfortable! The bathroom was nice and they had a delicious breakfast buffet!

Staff are very nice and accommodating. They don't have complimentary breakfast, however you can purchase breakfast there. Pool is nice and big and warm. Bed is very comfortable.

Lovely hotel, worked prefect for our visit to historic Williamsburg. Comfy beds, wonderful helpful staff. Bit dated but had everything we needed.

4.9 stars. :-) stuff and management is professional and nice to people, hotel is great, safe, there is enough space, great services and clean and we definitely recommend staying there and, yes we'll be coming back. If. My only minor complaint would be technical. The bathrooms. Specifically the door opening makes the otherwise flawless experience awkward.

This hotel allows dogs for an extra $20 a night. Dog allowed rooms are on the first floor. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and you can take your four legged bestie — what more could you want? There's a restaurant attached to the hotel that had karaoke on Saturday nights. Breakfast in the restaurant is 9.95 per person. There is a pool; dogs are allowed in the pool area but not in the pool itself. The hotel clerk was very nice and welcoming.

Pets allowed here, older facility-but maintained. Beds were comfortable, train track very close to facility but my group wasn't bothered by trains. No breakfast provided. Housekeeping did good job except they forgot to replenish in room coffee. Thought it was priced a little high for what you get.

I love this place. It's nice an quiet, has a indoor pool an the hotel staff are very nice. I would give it a five star but the breakfast here isn't free. It's an extra $9.99. Now if you have extra money to throw out then you can.

The staff is amazing. Location is perfect for anything you wish to do in Williamsburg. Also the rooms are very nice for the price. I have always been a Hilton fan but when I go to Williamsburg I choose Best Western.

Good basic hotel. Window in room went out directly to pool area (lit all night) without blackout shades. Didn't bother me but could bother some. Breakfast was spartan and $12 per person. Hotel bar had karaoke, which was cute.

Short stay. Decent room in the doggie hall. Great response to maintenance issues. $20 pet fee per stay. Staff were very nice with our dog. Facility shows signs of aging. Our room was clean and quiet. We'll stay there again.

Some rooms are stinky, but great front desk customer service. Changed my room 3 times because of stink, thanks to front desk staff. Also got a complementary breakfast voucher, because of the inconvenience.

It's a Best Western so don't think you're checking into a Courtyard. It was clean and the customer service was excellent. Tasha gave us great service and she went above and beyond to give us quality service. We left our clothes in the closet after we checked out and although housekeeping never found them, she helped us retrieve them days later. I paid for my room online for the wrong arrival date and she spoke to the manager to get me a refund.

Great location but rooms and hotel look dated. Rooms are clean. Didn't use the pool or visit the attached restaurant. Definitely worth a look for the location. Nothing spectacular about the hotel though.

1st thing for all Best Western rewards members to know — this Best Western does not give rewards points for a stay there. I find it odd that the Rewards Program ads would be posted in prominent locations in the lobby considering they don't support the program. The fitness center's equipment is somewhat worn. The water dispenser was also empty and no cups were available. I informed the staff the night I arrived, but only the water was replaced by the next morning. The pool was dirty as was the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi in particular had green mold in it and the water level was very low. The tiles in the jacuzzi were also dirty with mold. My wife and I were going to use those facilities until we took a closer look, which made us immediately head back to our room. The room itself was reasonably clean, but there were ants in the bathroom.

-Not 100% smoke free, most of the workers smoke by the back entrance -Hallways smell of smoke and some other dusty smell -No complimentary breakfast -No fridge or microwave unless you order one well before check-in date -Ceiling had weird yellow stains (probably from an old leak) -Fitness room kept loosing power (yes, the entire room would just shut off) -Saw random soda pop cans left on public tables and on the floor -The double room didn't have very much space for a family of 4 -One housekeeping lady gave us like 10 extra towels so we wouldn't ask her anymore (we didn't even ask for towels). Overheard her talking about us to another employee, upset that we asked her to give us some time before coming in, since we were praying. -Nice, remodeled bathroom -Tub faucets and shower head could've been cleaner -Individually controlled AC/heating system -Second housekeeping lady was so sweet to us. And the guy too. -At the bar you might be waiting a while before getting serviced, only one girl works there it seems -Close to busch gardens & water country usa -Will probably never come back.

Sorely in need of total renovation. Headboard fell off the wall when I lightly touched it. Mold likely in air conditioner and certainly in bathroom. It did have a comfortable bed.

Stayed here the 16-18 of June. The staff was very friendly, the younger girl who checked us in was funny and personable and you knew she meant it when she said to call if there was any issues/ questions. The hotel is being remodeled, so the one hallway near our room had new furniture stacked up, but our room was nice, the beds very comfortable and that shower water was HOT. Great to also be able to bring pets. Overall great experience.

We came to see historic williamsburg and Jamestown, as well as spend a day at busch gardens. We were looking for somewhere cheap, and close to where we were going. This hotel is literally within walking distance from historic williamsburg, about 10 minutes from busch gardens, and 20 from Jamestown, so that was a plus. But it was pretty much the only plus… the day we arrived, we checked in quickly and we're told to drive around back. There was giant open top dumpster as well as a lot of furniture just sitting in the middle of the parking lot taking up a lot of spaces? Why not put the furniture in the seemingly empty dumpster? Anyway, we begin to unload our car and walk inside and immediately are met with the smell of smoke (weed and cigarette) in the halls. I have no problem with smokers, but as this hotel advertises itself as 100% smoke free, I don't want to be smelling smoke in the halls, strike We find our room easily, turn on a light and before we even sit our bags down we see a large bug on the curtains. Ugh, strike I can already see where this is going but we didn't have many options at this point (they give no refunds). The rest of the night was fine. Wake up the next morning at about 8 to banging and yelling in the hallway, room service was slamming doors and yelling to announce themselves down the hall. We immediately put out the do not disturb sign, but of course they carried on being loud.

It's over priced. There was no fridge, no trash can, the latch on the door was broken, light bulb in bathroom was blown, the two redneck bar tenders at the bar couldn't even make an appropriate Bahama mama. Someone's trash sat in the hallway all evening/night long. There were boxes pilled up at the end of one hall. Housekeeping came beating on our door at 8 in the morning and then continued down the hall beating on doors yelling "housekeeping". It all cost $112 a night. I won't be back. P. S. It was my wife's birthday, she was pissed.

The room is adequate but the hotel is gloomy and outdated.

Mold in first room, gigantic cockroach in second room. Disgusting, cancelled and made hotwire put us up in a Holiday Inn instead.

The pictures they use on their website is false! This place is run down! Dirty, smells really bad, our bed was dirty blood stains on the bed skirt. The bathroom sink was leaking. Over all we will never come here again! GROSS!

The one thing I like most of this hotel was it's pool. Very nice and water felt super clean. The room was a bit out dated when me and my husband arrived the toilet was dirty and the shower head was not working.! Front desk staff was very nice and friendly.

Stayed several times — GREAT location, Excellent Service, Hotel clean but needs updating.

I have stayed at this particular Clarion numerous times with different scrapbooking groups. I was really DISAPPOINTED this time. Although the room was clean-looking, and the beds were as comfortable as ever, the room smelled of URINE. Instantly, as soon as you walked in, you were taken aback with the odor. It was NOT in the bathroom but in the room itself. Since the hotel was totally booked for the weekend our choice was to move to a "pet friendly" room or have maintenance do what they could. We chose maintenance. They must have sprayed, because for about an hour or so it was decent. Then right back to the urine smell. My roommate and I headed down to Walgreen's, as we were staying for 2 nights. We bought 2X Heavy Duty Febreze and a Cinnamon Vanilla candle. We sprayed the room thoroughly with the Febreze and put the candle on. We sprayed the room two more times before retiring for the night, and we left the candle on overnight between our beds. We put the candle away before housekeeping came (heard that hotels will throw out your candles if they see them). We sprayed before we left the room, and then after housekeeping had come and gone we re-lit the candle and sprayed again. I feel this is waaaay beyond what we should have to do to stay in a room. On the other hand. The banquet room where we cropped was fine. And, the food was delicious as usual with great service.

Stayed for 3 nights and our major complaint was the lack of security. All the doors were unlocked and accessible by anyone at any time of day or night. Although our room was very small, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The grounds were unkempt, garbage laying around and no landscaping. We would have preferred a hotel that offered breakfast, especially for their price. We will not go back to this hotel, there are others that are much better for less in that area.

Stayed there for a lacrosse tournament, very friendly and helpful staff. VERY pet friendly, we brought our dog along and they could not have been nicer. I show dogs as well and have never had this good experience with a pet friendly hotel! Would stay there again.

Summary: * Very good overall. Pros: * location — very close to Williamsburg (we were able to walk with 3 small children to all the historic stuff) * good sized indoor pool * clean / neat / well maintained rooms Cons: * breakfast is part of a restaraunt where you had to pay for each person (as well as the young kids) — we just ate at McDonald's about a mile away.
