It is a great hotel and makes you feel like at home. I love that it has a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils and plates. I always come back here when on a work trip.

I have booked a room with AKA White House for my mom who has been visiting me in the US. However, due to a sudden downturn on my uncle's health who is battling stage IV stomach cancer, she had to leave the country to go back home to Turkey. We had numerous plans with many other service companies and was able to cancel our reservations or waive cancellation fees. Even though I have provided the documentation indicating that my uncle has cancer and needs help with care-both in Turkish and notarized English copy — AKA White House denied to cancel our reservation. We paid over $2000 for a non-service that had to be cancelled due to a medical emergency. I cannot attest to their service but I cannot stand by and say nothing when they turn a deaf ear to a sympathetic request. I simply wanted to share this story so that you are aware of the company you are supporting by bringing your business.

That's a serviced apartment hotel not a normal hotel. Everything is very big and neat and clean. Don't expect to find any restaurant Or breakfast in the hotel. A lot of energy consuming behaviours all over the place which is deceiving. That is why I'm rating it slightly lower.

The room is large and clean, with laundry machine, drier and a full kitchen. But the main function of a hotel is for people to have a good rest during sleep, the window blinds don't black out the bedroom during the night, which doesn't help for sleeping. Also the large fridge is right behind the wall on the other side of bed's head board, in the night, the fridge noise is very bad.

My family and I never got the chance to stay here BUT they still get five stars from me because it is a LOVELY place. Considering the photos. We made a reservation for three nights, friday-sunday and were charged when we booked. Once we arrived, we were told they do not accept prepaid debit cards as payment. We were very upset about that. Since we were charged over five hundred bucks when we made the reservation. We did receive a full refund within a few days. BUT I wish that was specified online prior to us making the reservation. We will definitely come back. This time, we will use our bank card instead.

Wonderful central location. Suite has all the conveniences and very room. Staff was wonderful. Very helpful. Great experience.

Great room. Worth the money so much space. Why would anybody stay at regular hotel if its in the same location as this? Full kitchen was also nice. Location was close to everything.

Great value, great location! We stayed here for 7 days for $132/night in Nov 2017. You get a whole 1bedroom apartment with 1.5 baths, full size washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and living room. Why would people stay in a regular hotel room that is tiny and probably costs more? We slept great, hotel was clean and quiet. We will definitely stay here when we visit DC again!

Very good care and comfort in the place.

The apartments are beautiful and the staff are wonderful. I'm only staying here a week and I wish I could move in. Many of our company were here for 5 weeks straight and loved it. The AKA was very accommodating to any special requests. There was also a cake and a welcome back note in my fridge upon arrival!

Very nice place to stay. Conveniently located easy access to metro and downtown areas. Large and comfortable suites, with two roomy bedrooms.

Excellent service apartment. Great amenities. Spacious. Super comfortable and convenient to both Farragut West station for orange, silver and blue lines as well as Farragut North station for red line. Many nice restaurants and cafeteria within walking distance. Will return for sure!

Wife and I stayed for 3 days at AKA White House. Room was a small apartment and was very nice. King bed was VERY firm. Staff was nice. Rates are high but I guess the all are in DC. Proximity to the actually White House and National Mall was great. Windows needed cleaning. Can’t open top drawer in kitchen unless you open oven door (who paid the architect on this one? )

Beautiful room, excellent location. However, the room 807 was subject to noise everyone the elevator went up and down. My wife and I were not able to sleep both nights of our stay and we also not allowed a late check-out. Very disappointed.

Had a trip planned to tour White House. Tour was cancelled 7 days prior to tour. Tried to get refund for 3 nights booked and was refused. No other accommodations offered. I thought they would at least give partial refund or offer to exchange dates, but they just wanted to keep my money. They will never get it again.

Hotel was fairly priced, and was in the middle of everything, short walk to any of the major landmarks, resteraunts, and malls. The room was massive and had all the modern tapestries in a vintage style building. Would stay here again!

It's more of an apartment but we'll managed by professional hotel company. Perfect location and very quiet. Staff very helpful and professional. Bar's cool too.

I travelled with a lot of suitcases and I was struggling to fit them all in a hotel room. With AKA, I fit all my suitcases and still have a lot of space. The suites are nice and clean! I recommend it for a family trip.

Gorgeous hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a 2 bedroom reserved and upon opening the door, it was much larger than I expected. Full kitchen, laundry, hardwood floors, nice views of DC. Fast and quiet elevator. Fitness center. Business center. Close to metro stops. Close to White house. Close to lots of food options. And spotless inside. I was very impressed in this hotel.

Our stay was divided in two slots. We stayed for three nights, left for two, and came back for another three nights. I am not sure what is the reason, but the two separated stays were totally different experiences. If it were only for the first three days, I would have rated it five stars or more. The suite was spacious, very well furnished and everything seemed brand new. The staff were super friendly and helpful as well. The second part was a totally different experience. The room was smelly, the furniture was old and quite dirty, and for some unexplained reason the staff (different people) were quite rude. If it were for this part, I would have rated it one star or less! I am still not sure what went wrong, or could it be what went well in the first visit?

Stay was OK but the customer service is not. I have parked the car in front of the hotel while my parents wait to unload the luggage I went in to check in. First question I asked was is it ok if I park the car in front of the hotel until I get my keys to the room and unload the luggage the reply by the lady is "We don't care what happens outside the door". First of all no help offered with the luggage unloading. Being a 4 star hotel I didn't expect broken tiles in the bath room and dusted equipment such as hair dryer etc.

Awesome. Great service. Great room. Fridge, washer, dryer, fantastic location right by White house. What else can you ask for?

Great hotel for a long stay! Good location near the metro, easy waking to the White House and Mall, and beautiful rooms!

One of the best places to stay in DC. Superb and comfortable rooms with Bulgari toiletries provided. Excellent housekeeping and cleaning services. Very close to the White House, so a great place if you are planning a few days of sightseeing. Panera Bread and Starbucks are nearby so you can stop in for breakfast. The folks at reception are friendly and efficient, and do wonders for tired travelers.

Everything in the room and hotel was clean and it's right around the corner from the office. I would give it 5-stars but there seems to be missing some stuff here. Entertainment, pool, etc.

I booked a reservation online, but the website malfunctioned and somehow charged me for two separate rooms. I was not notified when I checked in and I realized this problem one month afterwards. I called the manager, a very rude and unprofessional woman, who refused to give me a refund and refuse to recognize my claims that I did not book two reservations at the same time. Do not stay here unless you want your money stolen. This is the worst hotel and I don't understand how people like this piece of crap.

Just wrapped up my two week stay at the AKA White House. Overall it was Ok. I enjoyed the spacious room fully equipped for extended stay convenience. I also found the location to be ideal for metro access, tourist activities, groceries and pretty much everything I was looking to do during my two week stay for a training class. But of I did have issues with a few things. Being a girl traveling alone in DC I like the additional safety of being able to deadbolt lock or chain lock my hotel door from within. Well at the AKA neither of these are an option. In addition each door has a doorbell but no peep hole. I understand because of the room size a doorbell is necessary because you likely wouldn't hear a knock at the door. But my doorbell rang 3 times during my stay. None of which were for reasons I requested! Most disturbing was Saturday morning during my 2 week stay the doorbell rang at 8:45am. I had just got out of the shower and immediately after I hear the doorbell ring a man opens the door and asks me if he can come in and change out the furniture. I was as I mentioned just out of the shower and as a result freaking out! There are a lot of issues with this situation: who changes furniture on a Saturday morning when people are probably sleeping in, no peep hole to see who is out there and worst of all the guy opens the door before giving me a chance to get a robe on and come see what they want.

Initially we thought it was great until we dealt with their horrible customer service team. Upon check in we clearly told them that we needed a flexible checkout per our work situation but then upon check out was notified that I would have to pay 50% of the remainder of the stay. If you're going to stick to a policy, be clear about it and don't mislead the customer. Intransigent managers, maid service is lackluster and our room was in a horrible part of the building so we had NO light. Don't recommend this location at all. For corporate guests, there are plenty of other locations in DC with great customer service and treatment.

Stayed a week at Aka and it felt like home. Was always greeted when I entered. Any request was taken care of immediately. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to food, block away from mass transit and the white house. Everything is within walking distance of this hotel. Great place to stay, and they will be my top pick next time I'm in town.

The Penthouse is amazing. Close proximity to DC's museums and the White House. Will be back next time.
