Great staff very helpful with anything we needed. Rooms are so nice and clean. Breakfast was great with several selections to choose from. Wonderful vacation. Plan to stay here again.

I'm sorry we stayed through the weekend. Weekdays were fine. Saturday at 3:00, and again Sunday, two "parents" showed up on the boardwalk with what they said were 6 and 9 year olds. They put out a bucket and spent the next 7 to 8 hours both days using those kids as hip hop performers to panhandle donations. The volume was so loud I couldn't even enjoy being in my room let alone sit on my balcony. It looked like child abuse to me. I hope the kids were wearing ear plugs.

My husband and I booked our hotel room back in SEPTEMBER 2021. We get there on May 20, 2022 and the cancelled our room! They claimed that they called us. (They didn’t) also said our card declined. Well my husband called 2 days before we arrived and talked to someone explaining we would pay in cash and she said that since we are laying in cash we won’t need a card…. The hotel refused to help us said there was NOTHING they could do. We definitely won’t be back.

This is one of the locations I visited during my week long birthday trip. Beautiful view of the ocean and even thought they are renovating hotel it's still very comfortable and clean. I will be leaving tomorrow heading to dmv area but i'll probably come back next year around the same time. I've been using holiday inn for almost 20 years.

The only good thing about this hotel is location. And there’s plenty of other options on the water.
We only booked it a few months about but there was nothing about being under construction so the pool was closed. We had to go multiple blocks away to another hotel to swim when it was pouring rain. On site parking is a bit of a joke. When we got there late the parking lot was full. The 2nd lot a block away was full so we had to go to the 3rd lot about 2-3 blocks away. The room was dirty. I didn’t even get all the pictures. There was mold on the sink. Mold on the bathroom wall. Water or something staining from the ceiling down in the main room. It’s very outdated. There are barely any outlets free as all the lamps are plugged in. We had trouble finding outlets to use to charge electronics. I had booked a king roomer with sleeper sofa but was only able to get one with 2 queens. To get clean towels you place then in a laundry basket outside your door between 9-1. I put ours out at 12 and they didn’t ever take it or bring us clean ones. The next day I put it out before 9 and got it. They need to specify directions better if it has to be out earlier. The staff is not friendly and not helpful. Overall my experience at this hotel has made me decide to avoid the holiday inn chain altogether. I will be placing a complaint with Costco travel also since I had booked through them.

I spent my birthday weekend there Easter weekend. The hotel is conveniently located right near local attractions and on the boardwalk. The ocean view was beautiful and the rooms are clean and they made sure we had extra towels for our stay there. The breakfast wasn’t bad there and they provided a variety of items to the guests. My stay was a quiet one and we were on the 9th floor of the 10floor hotel. It is a no smoking hotel which was a plus for me. The entrance of the hotel was clean and the customer service were pleasant and professional. I do recommend this hotel and I will be booking again soon for another trip. I was very pleased😀

This hotel should not been operating AT ALL! There was no communication between the staff, the rooms was horrible with the ceiling crumbling, the TV had sound but NO PICTURE and the toilet lever was on backwards so you had to almost crank the thing to flush it! My other guests rooms was horrible as well the fridge didn’t work in two of the rooms, a dam kitchen faucet in the BATHROOM that wasn’t even secured in another room and a freaking tampon in the toilet of another room and their TVs didn’t work! The indoor pool was closed for construction and we was denied a late check out stating they was operating a full capacity and was told there was no management on staff to speak with! We had to wait hours for the 1 elevator that was working to get out because the other one was out of service and the staff had to share it with guest since the hotel don’t have a service elevator and they are transporting their cleaning cart and soiled linens with guest on the elevator. I don’t even know why they were open, they had nothing to offer the guests! I could go on but we will take the rest up with Corporate.

Have stayed here 4 times and all 4 times have been great! Comfortable clean rooms, nice bathrooms and overall happy cheerful atmosphere, good service and great place to stay. Parking is a bit concerning if you have a larger vehicle but overall not bad. Great hotel!

Very clean — it’s hard to have a ocean front hotel clean and they did it nice breakfast — ay least worth $10-12 per person I’m value per day Overall nice experience walk right out to the beach and enjoy your day.

Parking is a nightmare. I was with a two month old, a two year old, and a five year old. There are no spots on the hotel premise, so you have to park about a block away. This is unacceptable with small children and luggage. Especially given the premium paid, even for just a basic room. There needs to be a hotel shuttle service to help guests get back and forth easier if you dont offer sufficient on site parking — especially for families. It started to absolutely pour rain and was a NIGHTMARE trying to walk alone with kids and luggage across a busy street and behind a block just to get to the car. Not a very family friendly hotel, in my opinion.

The staff is very plight and works hard to take care of your every need. Problem is they have a recurring issue with the elevators every time I stay her they only have 1 elevator running. It's very challenging if you're on a higher floor. Breakfast is good with a lot of choices. You can't get closer to the beach. There is limited parking at the hotel but sufficient parking across the street.

Very pleasant experience at this hotel especially due to Torrey H. At the front desk. He was extremely helpful throughout my time at the hotel, as well as when I returned home to NY and realized I left something behind. His friendliness and professionalism really went above and beyond. The rest of the front desk were very friendly as well. Housekeeping did a very good job although the hotel can use some updating. There was plenty of breakfast each morning, and the workers make sure it was constantly replenished, but I just wish the choices were changed on a daily basis. Beautiful ocean view, very convenient location, tranquil area as opposed to other areas on the beach. I would return and suggest to others. Thanks again Torrey and Holiday Inn Express!

Great and friendly Service! The staff in the lobby are willing to do their best to help you feel most comfortable with your visit. Very quick to respond to any issues, like no towels in the pool area for example. My only problem was the price, but it was a popular time for Warped Tour, so $230+/night was understandable for the event.

Hotel was very clean and beds were comfortable. We had a king sized bed and sleeper sofa and the room was a decent size for us. The shower did not have much pressure but the bathroom had lots of counter space plus storage under the sink. The indoor pool was just OK — the kids liked it so that's all that mattered. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.

Spent five days here at the hotel. Very happy with the experience. Breakfast was great, bed was comfortable but a small problem with it being so high. Cleanliness great, and the front desk people very friendly and informative. Already made reservations for the end of July to return.

Stayed a week here (5/27 — 6/2/18). First of all the front desk staff are very polite and professional. We had a King suite, very nice. Had separate sleeping and lounge area with a wet bar and mini frig. Views from Ocean front balcony were amazing! Loved seeing the sun rise every morning. The housekeeping staff were amazing. If need something, just ask. Parking is limited at the hotel, so if you get a spot there — keep it. We were able to walk to shopping, live music and the numerous dining spots, our car never left the lot until we left! Thanks to hotel staff for making our stayed AMAZIMG! We will be back!

Breakfast is good. Bacon eggs. Juice bagels. Not just fruit and coffee. Pool could b bigger but all rooms are ocean view. Happy with our stay! Very clean!

The facilities are excellent for families, and the location was beautiful. The restaurants within the hotel were solid, and in general this was a nice place to stay. The only drawback was our sheets were clean but stained, and the walls are paper thin. Nonetheless I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff was amazing. They did a price match to Booking. Com. Then we were upgraded from a double to a suite. The breakfast was great. The room and beds were clean. I will be staying there again. This is now my "go to" place to stay.

The staff were wonderful and the hotel was directly on the beach. All hotel rooms opened up to a balcony with a beach front view. The beds were super comfortable and we woke up to a pretty nice mini-buffet in the lobby. I would definitely stay here over and over again.

Excellent service. Front desk staff are some of the best I've found. The rooms are all oceanfront with a view that you can't put a price on. We will be back for another stay!

Very customer friendly. It looked like they might have had some kind of renovations going on at the time. The hallway was crowded with big fan.

The staff here were so friendly and helpful. Keith was amazing and accommodating. He is a great representative for Holiday Inn Express and for the hospitality industry. Some people go through the motions but you can tell he genuinely cares about your experience. I liked the beachfront location and the convenience to local restaurants, Walgreens, and shopping. The next time I go to Virginia Beach I will definitely go back to this hotel.

Awesome place. I left my Sonicare toothbrush their by accident. I called them and it was found by housekeeping. They happily shipped it to my house.

Staff were very professional yet down home friendly. Room as was excellent, and of course having a small balcony facing the ocean, just added to the over all enjoyment. Definitely a hotel that deserves a 5 star rating.

Good Holiday Inn at the beach, staff was very friendly and the food during breakfast time was decent. The ocean views from our room we're good, just felt like the room could be a touch cleaner but most hotels these days are like that to me.

Stayed here for one night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the room was nice and very clean. But the best part was the view! I could hear the waves crashing from the room. It was a great stay and great location. Walking distance from many shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend!

Front desk persons were very personable an professional helped us with dinner choices in the area. Breakfast included with the room stay is unbeatable, pancakes, omelets, biscuit an gravy, fabulous absolute. And location was very kept up with wonderful beds with plenty of pillows, great locations to attractions we were interested in seeing during our stay.

This hotel was great. It's in a great location well within walking distance to many restaurants and activities including the beach. Staff was very helpful would stay there again.

We stayed on the 10th floor in a king room with couch. The ocean view was beautiful, the room was spacious and clean. The mattress has been updated and was very comfortable during our four day stay. The staff was super helpful and the Continental breakfast good. I would definitely recommend.

Staff are friendly, peaceful despite plenty of kids in hotel, offers free breakfast, great location with oceanfront views and comfy beds. Room spacious. I would have no problem giving a 5-rating if staining (carpets, shower grout, bed skirt etc. ) and dust build up were eliminated.

I wanted to write a review about this great hotel because the staff is wonderful; especially the young man who runs the breakfast in the morning. He is so kind and eager to help which, with 2 kids, I was really grateful for. Breakfast was also fantastic by the way. The rooms are a little dated, but the mattresses are really comfy and they offer soft and firm pillows on each bed. Would definitely stay here again.

I loved that this place was ocean front. We were in a decent sized corner suite. Decent free hot/cold breakfast. Limited parking spaces. Everything was clean but some things were a little dated. The tiles in the bathtub and on the floor have seen better days. The pool is a bit small for the # of rooms. Housekeeping staff was great.

Great location within VA Beach. More than one friendly staff that was greeting us. And was also helpful! I like how my room has a mini fridge, microwave and a K-Cups machine. The hotel rooms are come with balcony and an ocean view. The best, lazy feeling to watch a sunrise is to wake up 5 minutes and just sit at your private balcony as opposed to walking down to the beach. Very good free breakfast with LOTS of choices!

Great location, near the "newer" VA Beach items, but within walking distance to rest of the older beach. The rooms were clean, well laid out, and a great staff. We had absolutely zero problems and the maids were happy to ask if there was anything they could do to help make out stay better. Simply an awesome staff. The fireworks we're just off shore, and the family movie night on the beach was right in front of the hotel, so we could watch both from out balcony! We parked the car and didn't move it for 4 days, since the hotels location was perfect. We simply walked everywhere! Yes, the pool is small, but it's there, as the hot tub, but the main attractive is rooms with an awesome view, and great location! Simply walked down to the beach… swim all day, or walk to breakfast, lunch or dinner! Very relaxing. If there was any negative, it was parking can be an issue, but there is extra parking available if you cannot find a spot in the main lot.

Great room overlooking the ocean. Close to boardwalk fun and good food options. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and daily room cleaning was outstanding and efficient. Breakfast options were plentiful and the coffee robust (I only wish there was real half n half in a thermal decanter). Parking was limited though; I was glad to walk everywhere and able to keep my hotel spot.

Great guest service. Awesome hospitality. Almost had a room available for us but unfortunately wasn't able to stay. Really great facility and very clean.

We loved the balcony overlooking the beach, where we watched the moonrise, had a perfect view of the fireworks, and saw sunrise from our bed. No smoking allowed out there, enforced, so clean air. Parking is free and convenient, so no problem if you need to run back to the car for something. Walk right out of lobby to boardwalk and beach. We had a delicious hot breakfast, included, on the covered patio adjoining the boardwalk. Pool and hot tub small but open to 11 pm. Staff were wonderfully friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was clean and large enough. On upper floor left sliding glass doors open for the cool breeze and sound of the ocean.

Beautiful setting. All rooms have amazing views of the ocean. We planned ahead and were able to secure a 1 bedroom suite for the standard room year round points rate. A big thank you to the Manager. The extra space is super comfy. Breakfast food is fresh and tasty and the right temperature. The outdoor terrace adjacent to the boardwalk is awesome. Walking distance to plenty of good eateries and to twice weekly fireworks. Great place. Highly recommended.

It was clean. The breakfast was good. The beach access was a huge asset. Parking was sparse. Fortunately we were able to walk to every thing we wanted to do. The staff friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Room was nice and clean, staff were nice and professional, breakfast was better than the standard hotel fair. Only thing is we had to push back our reservation and we were not informed of a increase in price when we did it, which would of been nice since we had already paid for it. So imagine our surprise when we woke up to a bill under our door for $130 on top of the $180 we already paid… We went to the desk and we're told it was because it was later in the season which we understand but were never informed of. The manager knocked off $90 so we would just be charged $40. Was nice of her but an unforeseen expense and not needed at the end of the vacation. We might stay again but will make sure to get all the pricing info in writing and keep in on us.

Excellent place to stay. It's right on the beach and all the rooms are water front. Plenty of places to eat but the only con is the amount of tourists. Excellent stay though.

The only good thing about this hotel is the oceanfront. I have stayed here before but this past stay is the last. The first room (before being moved to a second) was nasty. The floor clearly had not been vacuumed, the bathroom sink still had toothpaste and hair in it, stains and hair in the bed the toilet had pee on the rim and the air condition was stupid loud. The second room was not much cleaner and the sliding door kept getting stuck. You can hear your neighbors and housekeeping is VERY loud early in the morning. The breakfast was ok nothing special. To me its just not worth it.

No parking and for 40 min there was no front desk to tell us they have additional lots in outside the hotel. Finally parked, the front in his cell phone and smoking in the back side… yup… good hotel. Then breakfast is close to no breakfast. Cold scrambled eggs, 2 broken pan cake machines. TV has all channels blocked by cox the service provider, hotel does not want for TV services… what an awful hotel and waste of money.

To be honest this is probably the worst hotel room I've ever had considering that the TV cable can't be plugged in, some outlets don't always work, the ironing board is broken, and we didn't have enough chairs but other than that the place is pretty decent.

I really loved the customer service I received at check in. I hate I cannot remember her name. The remote control wasnt working but the front desk replaced it quickly. The room was just ok. The tub water wasn't draining. When I hit the lever for the water to go out the entire thing came off. One if the bed comforters had stains I didn't see until check out as I took covers off bed. The bathroom was ok. Stains around back of bathroom doot handle. Overall rooms just need to be cleaned more thoroughly lil disappointed.

The hotel receives two stars because the staff is indeed friendly. However, the room was very dirty. There was someone else's hair in the tub and on the floor in the bathroom, leading me to question the cleanliness of the room as a whole. The balcony would be a nice touch, if it weren't completely covered in bird feces on the floor and chairs provided. It was disappointing, because it would have been nice to take advantage of the view of the beach. The in room air-conditioning/heating system worked fine but the fan was very loud and rattled because the front of the unit was coming away from the main body. It honestly looked as though it had been serviced recently and not put back together properly. Made it difficult to sleep. All in all it was not a great stay. Had little to do with the good staff, but they're unfortunately working at a location where managent appears to care little for the building and the quality of the rooms they provide.

Great hotel with amazing ocean view and friendly, very helful staff. Delisious breakfast offering all kinds of food and freshly baked pancakes in the morning and in the evening. Book this hotel if you really want to enjoy your vacation!

We are currently staying here and it's been awesome! Everyone has been so nice! Special mention to Latoya and Michael at the front desk who have been so accommodating and patient with us! This place is excellent, great free breakfast, highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was nice but they kept over charging our debit card $648 every night. It froze our card up and we had to have them fax a pending auth release four times. We checked out and they charged us again for the night we left. I have battled with the guy at the front desk now for weeks and he hung up on me last conversation. My advise is do not use a debit card here. Use cash or credit. It tied our debit card up for weeks now. Ridiculous. But I have to compliment Latoya for being the only one with any sense that works there.
