Room: We had a Junior suite which was basically a regular room with a king instead of a queen and a gas fireplace. At double the cost I wouldn't recommend it for budget minded people but my wife and I were on a nice weekend out so the space and size was worth it. The Inn is older, so even the nice rooms have a classic feel which is typical to the area. Don't expect the more expensive rooms to have luxurious appliances etc. Dinner: The Swan Terrace was an interesting time, I couldn't help thinking that it was luxury being catered to the middle class. The staff was hit or miss (although always polite) and it seems like they hire a lot of internationals which can be tricky in such a guest service heavy industry. The biggest turn around for the restaurant was the absolute delicious food. That dinner was probably the highlight of the weekend above all else and the duck changed my life. The chef staff looked very proud of their work and it showed! The food presentation was extremely professional and we enjoyed every moment. Spa: We are not spa experts, but it seems appropriately priced and very rewarding. It was relaxing and the next time we come down for a little private weekend we will be visiting the spa/pool/hot tub for sure! 4/5 Because I wanted a bit of a modern touch to the suite and was disappointed, as well as things like the dinner staff pouring a beer horrendously wrong (IT WAS HALF FOAM! ) and some other missteps at dinner that made me feel like the upscale nature was more of a cover to justify the awesome food+high prices.
