Review of The Founders Inn & Spa Tapestry Collection 4*

BEWARE OF NEW MANAGEMENT* It's not the Founder's Inn it used to be! We used to love this place — Have stayed for weekend get-aways and brought our family many times (in addition to referring SEVERAL friends and family members to stay there as well), but apparently they are under new management and we don't plan to return. Many frustrations happened during this stay with no attempt to correct them. We never left the property and paid high prices for ALL of our meals for two three days. Our trip ended with Housekeeping removing my personal pillow case (that I brought from home on my personal pillow). Our room had a queen bed and my pillow was a king size with an obviously different pillow case. I have brought my pillow to countless hotels before and this has never happened. When I reported the missing pillow case, they offered to give me theirs to replace it after I called three times and finally asked how they planned to handle it — Our sheet set at home is high quality (Sheex) and 2 pillow cases cost $60, I'm sorry, but that is not an even swap. They made no attempt to make ANY concession for this and said they would just keep looking for it and mail it to me if they found it — I even sent them a link to purchase a new pillow case and their response was that they would research it and keep looking for it and get back to me. I am so disappointed in this whole stay. Obviously new management has much lower standards than before. The employees are not up to date on information nor are they properly informed. When misinformation was given to us by their employees on a discounted breakfast, they wouldn't honor it. We have reservations for August for our last summer family trip, but I will be looking for another place to stay this time. It's such a beautiful property, but the numerous frustrations just aren't worth it anymore. Today is one week since we were there and NO ONE has made ANY ATTEMPTS to make ANY concessions for my missing pillow case!
