Beside the RV, which I will be in soon a ways down the road, this is the nicest place second to that. Nothing like your own comforts! But this place is amazing.

The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean, there was no noise and I wondered about that since it was a pet friendly place. There was no pet odor either! Our family was very pleased with the breakfast, size of the room and location from the beach and some of the largest shopping outlets we have ever been to! Great place with friendly staff! You will love your stay.

This is a beautiful hotel! Very well kept with excellent customer service! It's feel is Upper Crust sans the stuffiness. It's a great place to stay for a night as well as an extended stay; whether you are an individual looking for a stellar experience, a business person or a family. This is the hotel to stay in! Lastly, it is in a central location. You will be within minutes of a shopping district and other various sites.

This is a wonderful Hotel but I'm partial to the Residence Inn by Marriott. I've traveled a lot for business and this is my hotel of choice because I've always found the best service and rooms for the best price. This particular Residence Inn is located Immediately off I-264 and is convenient to both Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake. The guest services are great as the rooms are decorated well, clean with great appointments.

The staff was very helpful and amicable. They were able to meet the majority of my needs during my stay there. The breakfast options were pretty good.

The room was spacious with a bedroom, full bath, living room, kitchenette. The location was close to the airport. There is a lot of road construction, so you will have to take a detour from the main street light Google maps is anticipating.

Very nice rooms!, convenient to plenty of restaurants and the mall. Looking forward to coming back with more time to shop. Breakfast can have a little more variety, but with the kitchenettes I can understand why the selection is not as great as other hotels. Me and my family give this place a's up.

Breakfast was powdered eggs and half cooked sausages. Waffles were good, and they had fresh fruit. Room accommodation was excellent.

Great room for the price! Kitchen with stovetop, full refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. Wonderful staff to help and great service. Quality furnishings and two rooms. Internet streaming service on TVs in room. Excellent morning breakfast and a light dinner three days a week (m-w). I switched from another hotel nearby and am very glad I did.

Let's start with the good… Large rooms, nice lobby, pool and fitness center. Bed was comfy and clean. Bathroom was clean. Service was good. The bad: the highway out front is under major construction causing traffic issues and making it difficult to get to the hotel. Rooms are fairly clean at first glance, but look closer and you will find a stain here or there. Furniture in our room was worn. The ugly: Kitchenette had bugs… Not just one but, multiple bugs were seen scurrying on the counter top. Of course where the is one or two there are thousands… Gross.

Very nice. Appeared very clean. Suite had full kitchen, 2 bedrooms with sharing great area so each guest has their own personal space as well as a sharing common area.

My husband, my 83 year old mother, myself, my cat and my dog stayed at Residence Inn for nine months after a house fire. Michelle and the entire staff were so helpful and kind. I felt like part of a family. The accomodations are wonderful and the staff are a great group of thoughtful, kind, caring, and helpful people. My mother and I still drop in to say hello.

Well staffed and friendly even late at night. The property and room was clean and well maintained. Less than 5 minutes to/from the airport.

Lovely airport hotel. Staff are wonderful, kind and sweet. Rooms are fairly spacious. Location is right near the airport. Beds are bouncy and need an upgrade, pillows too. Would have been perfect if the sleep accommodations were more comfortable. I woke up feeling achy.

Amenities are nice, given the expectations I have for Marriott hotels by experience. I'm giving it two stars (a liberal rating) due to its supervisor and front desk staff. Talk about unprofessional. As a gold star elite member, I requested to be provided the benefits that are due with regards to the rewards program. Unfortunately, as it was apparently against the beliefs of the supervisor, her opinion apparently super ceded black and white policy on the Marriott website. More so, I was directed that I should choose a different hotel next time if the residence did not have the amenities from the program that I sought. Now keep in mind, my travel was prepared by my business (govt) and I didnt really have much of a say. More importantly instead of make a call to a GM, or Marriott Corporate, she took it upon herself to tell me to get out instead of providing the points I rated for my stay. Compound that with the sarcastic and patronizing tone and mannerisms she took while doing all of this that I cannot portray in this venue. Nice job Marriott. Great employees you have leading your staff.

My friends and I are navy and we came up from from Florida to avoid Irma. We are having a very pleasant time at this hotel! Fast and friendly service. Great breakfast and dinner! Staff are all very friendly and helpful! They lowered our nightly rate down to the military paid travel rate as well!

Stayed at the Marriott by Norfolk for one night, it was my first time at the hotel so I didn't know what to expect. Front desk clerk made it easy to check in even asked if I had a floor preference my room was clean even the lobby. I enjoyed my stay perfect for business or a romantic night.

Nice size suites. Quality is good and maintained, but dated. Carpet shows it's age, but clean and serviceable. Service is exceptional!

First off the place was extremely clean. Second, it has a full size fridge, guest laundry services and breakfeast at 0600. I asked them to being something out early as I have to be on the road by 0600 and they brought out the cereal early. This hotel is not only clean but actually cares about customer satisfaction. Lastly it has a beautiful pool table next to the lobby. I would stay here again.

We checked in late on night April 23 and when we got into the room it looked clean until we got to the bedroom. There was tons of hair in the track of the closet door, around the soap holder in the bathroom, and on the nightstand. It was disgusting! We called for the housekeeper and she came and sprayed it and wiped down the areas. The next morning we still were finding hair. We were supposed to stay the next two nights as well but we told them because of the nastiness of the room we wanted to check out and were able to do so. After contacting the manager we were told we would get 10, 000 Marriott points which never happened. We then went to the Newport News Marriott which was much nicer and cleaner. I would definitely skip the airport Residence Inn!

Great hotel — very quiet even close to the Airport and Police Department. Breakfast was great. Room was spacious. Front Desk Clerk gave me the room and location that I wanted without any hassles. Hotel is close to restaurants and retail stores. I will definitely stay here again.

This is the second time staying at this residence inn for an extended stay… the last time I stayed was in September and now in January. The staff here is the best. Rooms are clean, comfortable and you feel as if you are at home with perks. The breakfast is always prepped and set out timely and proper temps. The social hour in the evenings are not just finger food. It's a meal. I will choose this hotel anytime I travel to the area.

Stayed here for 2 days to welcome home niece in Navy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms and nice facility. Fridge/freezer in room is outstanding feature. Would stay here again. Anything you need is right around the corner.

Decent room, old carpet and appliances, thought it was a little overpriced. The 24-hour on call airport shuttle is what got me to stay here, it was nice to have.

I recently stayed here for two weeks with my mate and my puppy. Everyone was really friendly, especially Cheryl at the front desk. She made sure we had everything we needed and had no problems answering questions and recommending great restaurants to eat at in the area. The kitchen staff was exceptionally well too. The young lady Benita and gentlemen Terry was always friendly and met our needs daily. Everyone was really pet friendly and they all fell in love with our puppy which made him really happy as well. I couldn't have stayed at a better place and every time we come to Norfolk, we look forward to staying here. Thank you guys so much for being so pleasant because it really make a difference! I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends. Thanks again.

Love it! My 2nd stay there and it's the only place I'm staying when I'm in town.

I loved the studio room that I stayed in, there was tons of space and the room was clean. I also liked the amenities that were included with the room, especially the breakfast and the sauna.

Stayed here and our, plus 4 other cars, were broken into. Windows shattered and valuables taken. No surveillance or security in the parking lot.

Not yet finished my stay. Will add more later.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Norfolk for 2 weeks. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the rooms were clean. We really enjoyed breakfast daily and the evening meals 3 times a week. We had no complaints.

Nice enough but many systemic problems. — Wi-Fi only in the lobby (put it in for the office, didn't bother with the guests). — Many of the valves in the plumbing were backwards — confusing and DANGEROUS espically for the elderly — Free breakfast only if you got there first. Slow or no replinishment Nothing fatal, but others do better for less money.

There are many types of Residence Inns. This one is new (2004-5), clean, has lots of hidden levels (to keep the kids away from the biz people), excellent airport access, and well priced. Yes, I am 100% travel so I know.
