Nice establishment that's presently being renovated. Room had missed areas of filth in the bathroom around the bathtub and toilet and the shower curtain contained mold. There was also a filthy recliner in the room set near the bed that we had to cover with a sheet… I still refused to sit on it. The hotel manager offered to remove it, but we just covered it up… Why have it in the room anyway? The breakfast was continental on the weekdays with boiled eggs for protein and salty pork link sausages were served on the weekend. At least they had other foods to offer such as coffee, juices, toast, bagels, yogurt, powdered eggs, and waffles (that you make fresh).

They were absolutely amazing. I called and let them know our plane was delayed for a few hours and they were really cool about it. I didn't think we'd be able to make the shuttle based on other reviews, so we were already planning on having to get a cab, but we got in after midnight and called them just to see and it was already there waiting! The staff were all really friendly and breakfast was pretty good. Hot sausage, eggs, yogurt, bagels, and they had a waffle maker. We are at the hotel we will be at for the rest of our vacation and we both already miss this airport hotel! Highly recommend this place if you're flying in.

Location was good, near restaurants and shopping. Between Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Staff was really friendly and helpful when air conditioning wasn't working. Having said that, our room was not pleasant due to cleanliness. We found old cigarette butts under our bed in the morning. The toilet was actually cracked down the entire side and our sheets were so small, the unfitted sheet kept coming up to reveal how dirty the mattress was.

Easy access off of 264 East. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Room was clean and well adorned. Bathtub was a bit rough and showed age. Due to construction left turns into here require going past the hotel and u turns to navigate.

The rooms are nice but the real draw to this place is the staff. From the cleaning crew to the desk staff I have not met a more helpful and kind group of workers.

Room was better than expected far as what I paid. Room was clean, bed was soft but I couldn't sleep that well in it. Oh and if your in room 212. The ceiling squeaks terribly from whomever is above, just fyi. Didn't like the one way in and out of parking lot either.

Overall it was a decent hotel. I did call before hand to see if the indoor pool was warm and I was told that is was. When we got there the pool was cold and the hot tub was luke warm.

This place is horrible, the customer service is horrible and YOU SHOULD NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. My sister purchased a room here because they are one of the few hotels with an indoor pool. As we walked into the lobby automatically the girl in the front starts saying you can’t have more than 4 people in your room at a time and for a family of 7 (2 adult and 5 small kids) it was a big inconvenience especially after the hotel has already gotten your money. After the very rude girl in the front made it clear that no manager was on duty and will not come in to give a refund, we decided to leave instead of going back and forth with the girl. She wouldn’t even allow us to take the kids up to change into their bathing suits talking about it’s a bathroom in the pool area. THIS PLACE IS NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AND DO NOT TRY TO HAVE YOUR CHILDS POOL PARTY HERE! They will unapologetically ruin your child’s birthday party and then tell you to come back the NEXT DAY to get a refund. Go to the Hampton inn they are more family friendly and they give great customer service.

Thus place is a joke I wanted to throw a birth day sleep over for my daughter and her 4 friends and they sent a maintenance guy in our room to check smoke detector just so he can report how many people are in the room. How convenient! We asked for a refund to take our "pool party" elsewhere but there was no one there to issue a refund! I so don't recommend this place!

Simple hotel providing simple service. Room is acceptably clean and the furnishings are adequate. Breakfast provided is marginal at best. There are better options in this price range.

Amazing time here. Staff was very accommodating to our needs. Very helpful if we had any questions or concerns. The cleaning crew was phenomenal, good sense of humor, and very friendly. Would stay here again anytime I'm in the area.

Have stayed at La Quinta Inns several time and this was first bad experience. On 1.13.18, unprofessional and unpleasant woman who ran the breakfast publicly chastised me for not throwing away the cup that I used for the waffle batter. It was done under the guise of a loud announcement to all of the guests having breakfast at that point. Her tone was irritated and put upon. (As opposed to a friendly reminder). The fact that I was still standing at the breakfast bar and had not even finished apparently did not matter. I was treated like a misbehaving child. Rude and unprofessional. Desk staff was good, friendly…

Stayed 2 nights in different rooms. First roomwas a double, very clean. Second room was a king single, not as nice, strong odor in the carpet. Great price for pet fee and great amenities.

The rooms were very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. I was surprised to find that there was no dog smell to be found even though the hotel is pet friendly!

The service was good. But the rooms were very dirty. Sheets and pillow cases were not changed on day 1. Had to request multiple times to get all the pillow cases changed. The carpet was dirty and damp in some places. The couch was extremely dirty. Picture below from room 201.

Beautiful, clean place. Offered a decent breakfast. Was certainly worth my money and my entire family enjoyed the stay.

Service was excellent. Friendliest front desk staff anywhere. John was exceptional. Rooms very clean. Bed comfortable. Pillows are a little firm for my liking, but OK. Will definitely stay here again when I need to come to the area.

Don't stay in Room 205. The easy chair must have been retrieved from a dump. I had to cover it with bedspread before sitting on it. I can't say I've ever experienced that before. No extra pillows in closet.

Been with staying at la Quinta in all around from FL to newyork at the airport Norfolk location I have never had this much bad customer service this not this first time I really don't write reviews but this was so mess up to treat a loyal customer like this I book from a three state over to get there and they gave my room away not only that couldn't offer no other room or something miles up the road the lady said she call try to show her my email and call log she refused to help me that she dial my number wrong trying to say someone said wrong number I told her I been travel alone some there no one then kick me out the hotel thanks a lot for nothing.

Awesome stay for the price. All the wine amenities. Perfect place to stop on a road trip.

Rooms are really nice and they have great customer service but limited parking. Not recommended during busy seasons. Parking is first come first serve. The lot allows one car per room. It would have been perfect if not for that.

Personally, I judge a hotel on the bathroom and the front desk. I called in plenty of time to explain that we were caught in traffic and — because we choose to pay in cash — was told that one minute after 6 pm our room would be given up. When we did get there, the bathroom had long hairs in the tub, the heat monitor handle didn't work well and the tub plug did not fit. We would not stay there again.

Poor customer service! There was a mix up with my credit card and they were absolutely no help.

My wife and I just decided out of the blue to come to Norfolk for veterans day and this hotel popped up on our search. For such short notice and having a small dog this hotel catered to us and was fair priced and outstanding service. We would defianatly stay here again.

My wife and I booked this hotel because we stayed at another one of there locations and this place is clean, and super friendly best of all its not badly priced. On top of all that the staff was friendly and they have continental breakfast!

I have two dogs and this hotel has always been so accommodating towards that. Everything is always clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable.

Have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions when flying out of Norfolk International. 9/10 the staff is excellent and the hotel is clean. However, each time I have requested a wake-up call it hasn't come. So if you stay, make sure to set your own alarm. Otherwise, great place!

I came down from CT to visit my daughter who was interning in a teacher program a couple blocks away. My trip went as planned and I arrived at 10:30 that morning. I already knew that I was quite early, so I went to the front desk and asked for an early check in. Ally greeted me with a smile and said, Sir, your room is not ready but please give us a few minutes and we will text you when it is ready. Within 10 minutes I received the best text I could have hoped for in a long time. My room was ready, so I went upstairs to my very clean room and very comfortable bed. They did not know I barely slept and hour before I drove down. The staff treated me like they were aware of my lack of sleep. Super Bang for the Buck with a continental breakfast each morning. I have stayed at many places all over the world, but I love a family atmosphere and this is a family hotel. I can't tell you about the pool, I only saw it but did not go in. But please try the Peach Citrus Juice it was very good.

Nice room and they let us check in early. Everything was clean. Only drawback is the road in front of the Hotel. Going left means a right turn then a U turn.

I don't think I have ever been to a hotel where every single staff member was so kind, pleasant and courteous until now. They were so accommodating to make sure that a huge majority of our cheer leading team was on the same floor. The hotel was so nice and clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room was really nice, I was impressed. No bar or restaurant inside, but not a big deal.
