Inn is old & run down. Our room was an efficiency room at best. Toilet didn't flush well. We saw several small cockroaches on the floor & climbing up the wall right next to the bed where we slept. Thank God it was just before we checked out! Pool had leaves & flying bugs all over the top of the water. Continental breakfast was pretty good & we really liked the coffee. We paid $73 for the night. It should have been only about $40 or $50 tops for all the inconveniences. Although the breakfast was decent it's still not enough for us to stay there again!

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was the worst experience I have ever had at a motel. We came in late on our way down to Orlando just to stay a night. We were just tired and needed to sleep. When we walked into the room the AC was off (it was JULY) and the room was terribly hot. After a half an hour of the AC not cooling off the room we went to the office and complained. They moved us into another room that honestly looked like it had not been cleaned. We were so exhausted and the AC worked so we went to bed. The next morning we realized there was used towels in the room… and it was absolutely disgusting. We didn't even feel like it was safe enough to take a shower. The room looked like it had not been updated for 15-20 years. Only paying $60 for the night we were not expecting an all inclusive resort here, but definitely didn't expect what was going on with this place. We again went to the office to complain about the situation and after 30 minutes of arguing with them they only gave us $20 off the visit. Later that day we realized they didn't refund us, but double charged us! So we paid $120 for a place that shouldn't have been more than $20 a night. We immediately called the office to complain about the situation and they were argumentative and wouldn't do anything about it initially and then later finally fixed the overcharge. But never gave us the $20 off… still charging the full price. We then called Red Roof corporate office to complain.

I've been traveling back and forth from MA to FL for years and without a doubt this was the most dirtiest run down Red Roof Inn I've ever been in. The toilet was disgusting. There were some kind of dead worms in the drawers. There was vomit outside on the walkway that looked like it had been there for a long time. The towels and the sheets were stained. It looked like it hadn't been updated since it was built. The freezer in the refrigerator did not work. The TV was mostly static. We had traveled for 13 hours and it was dark so we decided to remain but we did end up sleeping in our clothes. I've always loved Red Roof Inns but because of this one in Emporia, VA I will be making another choice in hotels. Personally I will never let my dog sleep there again.

Clean and quiet rooms decent prices. Would definitely stay again.

I had a clean and neat room, bathroom was spotless. The service was good and respectful. Great location, hotel is 2 minutes from 95.

I've been here three weeks working near here. Havnt had my room vaccumed once. Leave for two days to go home and they leave a bag of trash in my room along with just a bag of towels and rags which they usually leave on the outside so there's the one star and also look like they were just thrown in a dryer instead of washed like always. They Rarely give any toilet paper. Will probably be my last week here. And will never return and will definately turn anyone away. Also I've had two rooms and neither one has had a fire alarm. I left the first room because my bed collapsed. So to anyone interested in staying spend the extra money and stay elsewhere.

Basic accommodations. Nothing fancy. Nothing milk free in continental breakfast.

I am one for being honest, this place was horrible. 4" thin king mattress, the wife and I met in the middle and that wasn't because we wanted to. The bed sagged so hard. The bathroom was disgusting. I laid down at 10 pm for bed, was up more than I slept. Moved to the couch and same thing. Finally at 4 am I asked for a refund, the guy laughed at me. Said I spent too much time. I wouldn't stay there for free if I needed to. Rather have slept on a bench in nyc.

This Motel is marginal at best. No Closet in our room, the bathtub was iffy such that we did not want to take a shower, electrical outlet next to the bathroom sink, did not work, thus the hair dryer didn't work. That really didn't matter since there was no way we were going to shower. Oh yes, the toilet ran all night. We were glad to leave.

My room was scuzzy. My room could use paint bathroom caulking and walk washing. More importantly management should inspect the rooms and make sure the staff is cleaning them properly. My bathroom wasnt cleaned properly.

The room had a funky smell and the breakfast is served at 0630 instead 0600 most guests had to eat at Shoney's that morning.

This is a flea bag Motel. My five-year-old and I woke up at 4 in the morning itching and scratching. I found signs of bed bugs on the mattress.

Overall it is great. The breakfast options are not very largebut they have waffles. The staff is friendly. And every room has a binder with all the information about the motel and different locations in town. Even an entire menu to a Italian restaurant that delivers free. Rooms vary from very nice to "that's nasty but bearable". And Housekeeping… We have been at this location for a few weeks now and Housekeeping comes every day. You do not have to worry about running low on anything. But they come very early. Also if you don't want Housekeeping to knock at 7-9 am then get a do not disturb sign from the desk because they will knock, and try to enter. I was sleeping naked and I for got to lock the door from the inside and made it to the door as they were opening it. So be sure to get one of those signs. And lastly, as I said Housekeeping does come every day. But I don't think they clean to thoroughly. I found a condom box behind our couch. And my Brother on laws room has a unknown substance on one of the pictures about the headboard that we believe is a bodily fluid. But it's not too bad. And they do have really really nice clean rooms.

Nice hotel for the money. Wish the breakfast hours were a little more accommodating since nearly every one that was staying there worked the same hours, and breakfast wasn't served until 10 min after we left each day. Overall though a great barging!

Guy at the front desk was nice. Beds were not the most comfortable and carpet had stains in it. Price was cheap though.

Don't let the pictures fool you! This place is nasty. We requested a non-smoking room. Walked into the room and it had an overwhelming cigarette smell, ashes all over the nightstand, the floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in weeks, the tub would not drain, very thin towels, dead bugs everywhere, and stains on the bedspreads. I asked the front desk to move rooms and was informed they didn't have anymore available. I would spend the extra few dollars and stay at the Hampton it's much cleaner.

This is a nice, clean hotel for the price. Great if traveling with a pet. Good continental breakfast and friendly staff.

The place was really convenient. It was great at a cheap price too for great quality! I slept great and it was filled with people. Definitely a go to place to sleep!

Pros: Incredibly friendly staff. Convenient to I-95, but far enough to not have the interstate noise keep you up all night. Clean room. Good breakfast. Affordable! Cons: Water pressure Smoky smell in our non-smoking room.

The room was cheap, but very clean and comfortable. Red Roof Inn is my go-to place whenever I'm traveling with my dog.

This is a cheap motel and an odd one, too. The location is odd, due to difficult auto access from the nearby intersection — — signs are non-existent and you must drive through other properties to get there. It's an older motel that has seen better days. It's a good thing that the price is low, because this place does not compare to Super 8's or Best Westerns. My rate at this Red Roof was about $50 AAA rate. I may be wrong but it appears that a new family has taken ownership of the motel, and they are very friendly and hard working. However my check-in experience was slow and poor. It seemed that the check-in clerk was new to the job. The room was bare bones and below average in appearance, but it was well equipped. Several restaurants are within walking distance. I would not return to this hotel, but it was OK for one night during my road trip.

Clean and convenient, enjoyed the stay!

What I expected for the price. However, the soap smelled awful and the bathroom was decrepit. Still, not bad for what we paid.

Overnight stay on my way home from Florida. Clean sheets and pillow and a bed. Perfect for what I needed it for.

Dirty floor dirty sinks dirty toilets and breskfast was lousy worst hotel we ever stayed at.

It's not a quality inn, it hasn't been for 2 years. It is now a red roof inn. Other than that mix up and not being able to find it for a half hour, it was a great stay.

My husband was staying there for work. They charged him for 5 nights as normal because he stayed there regularly. He came for the weekend. Monday came around (Sunday night he switched to another hotel because it was cheaper) and they charged us for 3 more days. I contacted them. The lady was rude, said he was still staying there, claimed he left items in the room but never told us what, and wouldn't give a refund. Husband called was told the same thing. Husband went in and spoke to someone who claimed they would give the money back. A week later we received nothing. Husband went in to talk to them and they said he wasn't getting his money back. Still fighting them through our bank with proof he wasn't there.

I am here right now 3/3/15 and this place is GROSS. When you first walk in, it "seems" nice, but when you really LOOK, you will vomit. The bathroom is dirty! There are pubic hairs behind the bathroom door. There is soap scum and HAIRS in the bathroom tub drain. The phone is FILTHY. There are stains on the wall. I do not think anyone cleans in here at all. They must just make the beds and that's all. It cost us $69.00. We're just too tired from driving all day to go get another hotel. Make sure you bring LYSOL disinfection wipes whenever you go to ANY hotel. I have them and wiped the whole place down. PS If you want to leave after seeing the room and they "claim" they cannot give you a refund due to their computer? All you need to do is call the bank or the credit card company and tell them, they should be able to reverse the charges. Yuck!

This place is Dirty & Nasty! Caught in a bad snowstorm on I95 me & my wife pulled into the hotel. The outside of the hotel was not impressive; however seeking refuge from the storm we checked in for the night. Our room number was 120 and this is what we saw: yellow stains on the wall; the comforter on the bed had cigarette burn holes on it + white stains of God knows what; the bed sheets looked like a bird had pooped on it; and there were brown stains on the carpet. We complained to the front desk clerk & asked for a refund & he said, “The computer system would not let me refund money. The only option I have is to give you another room. ” He gave me another room key & that room was identical to the last one: a real live stain fest. After all this he still wouldn’t give a refund. Fighting a losing battle — we went to the Sleep Inn across the road and paid for another room.

Worst Hotel ever. Dangerously dirty, horrible manager and customer service, no heat in the winter. More than one hour to come and plug in the heat while it was snowing. My husband slipped in the shower/tub because of the slippery gooey soap all over it, and nobody would help. Disgusting!
