Horrible! We were given a room that was occupied there was beer cases and beer cans everywhere the bed was slept in, the room was a mess! Absolutely disgusting. When they gave us a new room the fridge was broken so our food spoiled. They also market the amenities but their pools are closed getting renovated. Just an overall very disappointing experience. I will never go here again.

Located in a great area close to the airport and the expressway into the city.

Stayed there last weekend for my daughters softball tournament. Unauthorized charges of close to $1, 000.00 with no real explanation. Have been checked out for over 48 hours and still receiving charges. The management is incompetent and unprofessional. Will never stay @ Aloft again.

We booked our room using Skymiles for 2 nights, and they charged us for an additional night's stay and the deposit. I have called several times to talk to a manager and called Skymiles to assist and no response. I will never consider this hotel again and will tell everyone I know to avoid staying here.

Hotel had a warm and welcoming staff. Fabulous work area, great snack selection of munchies, and was very clean and located conveniently off a main thoroughfare. The only thing I would change would be how dark the hallways felt because of the very dark colored carpets, etc.

Stayed at Ashburn Va. Aloft. Loved the style, the friendly staff.

Beautiful hotel with a lovely lobby. However the food is mediocre and expensive. The swimming pool was beautiful but the water was chilly. Elevators are quick. The rooms are comfortable, clean with lovely soaps. Our bathroom light was dim. The free shuttle to and from the airport is convenient and the shuttle drivers are professional and friendly.

This was such a great hotel! It was very modern and had everything we needed. The food prices were a bit much, the breakfast could have a better variety, the beds were very very hard, but over all, it was nice. We had an issue with an overly intoxicated man approaching my 14 year old daughter's, the staff was very proactive in handling the matter and warned the man, they would call the police if it happen again. The bar tenders definitely need to be able to limit a person when they are visibly intoxicated. This was an issue with a couple who was stumbling around the pool area, as well.

Love this hotel. Gas station right across the street for snacks and drinks. Bar at hotel. Hilton next door has a restaurant. Nice rooms. Only downside is not many restaurant options right nearby, nothing in walking distance besides the Hilton.

Stayed this weekend and had an amazing experience. Was able to check in at 2am unlike surrounding hotels. Must give a shout out to a young lady who helped us in the phone Friday afternoon with everything. Her name is Kara and wasn’t able to meet her in person but she was very helpful to me and our family. 10 Stars ⭐️ in my book. Also are pet friendly.

Just stopped in to ask if there were rooms available. The lady at the front desk was Nikki. I first asked if pets were allowed and she gave an odd look but said yes. Then I asked if there were any rooms available for tonight and she very hesitantly said no, the last one was just taken about 3 minutes ago. So I said ok and left. Very certain that she was lying I just called as I walked out the door and said I was someone else looking to see the availability of rooms for tonigh…t. "Oh, why yes, we do have rooms available tonight, " she says. So my question is… why was I lied to? Because I have a dog with me? Dogs are allowed. My family has stayed here before with them. I dont understand and will definitely be reporting this as I was discriminated against because of my dog. Bad customer service, bad attitude, and bad hotel. You just lost a loyal customer.

Not much to look at outside but inside it has great decor, very welcoming. Friendly service. Good bar, good bar man, good bar food. No restaurant apart from the bar. Room nicely laid out. Great park and fly deal. Free shuttle ro and from Dulles (don't forget to tip the driver).

We enjoyed our stay at Aloft. The price was great, especially since we booked this very last minute. The room itself was specious for the 4 of us. I just wished there was an actual door for the bathroom instead of a sliding mirror that tended to open itself; leaving no privacy for the person showering. Other than that our stay was comfortable and the service was great as well.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I stayed here recently for my sons school trip. We had a large group (over 160 kids and adults) and the staff was totally unprepared (not to mention rude) to handle a group that large. They did not have enough food available for breakfast and what food was available was cold and tasted terrible. When my husband approached the staff to see if they would be bringing out more food, the woman was rude to us and said since we were one of the last groups to come down, we would just have to take whatever food was left. As for the rooms, the bathrooms doors slide and only stay shut if you are able to manage matching up the door with the 2 tiny pieces of Velcro to keep it shut. Take my advice, don’t stay at this dump!

Typical experience if you stayed at other aloft hotels. Room is just okay, television, bench, two desks. Bathroom situation does not give much privacy and it feels cramped. Door is on a sliding bracket that doesn't close all the way and slams into the wall every time you move it. Lighting is dim in the room and could deal with brighter bulbs or more flattering fixtures. Furnishings seem dated, could do with an update. Headboard was cracked and had spots missing from the foam/vinyl. If you were staying here for proximity to airport I would stay someplace closer as this is up the Greenway toll road, there are few other businesses around here other than the gas station and the Starbucks. Noise from the bar was noticeable at around 130 in the morning on the third floor but didn't prevent me from falling asleep. Airport is in one of the departure/arrival paths for Dulles so if you're a light sleeper also don't stay here.

The music in the lobby was so loud it will literally hurt your ears. You can hardly hear the person behind the main desk talk. I went up to my room on the second floor and the music was VERY loud through the floor. I've seen hotels that were loud because of other guests, but I've never seen the hotel management *choose* to be so loud that one can't sleep. Is a 15 year-old running this hotel? I called downstairs THREE TIMES, and it's still blaring nightclub music. Whoever is the manager at night who chose to blast music in a HOTEL as if it's a nightclub should be be told it's VERY unprofessional! Worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. Do not waste your money here! No one should have to try to sleep with three shirts wrapped around your head, but the pounding, heavy base vibrates through the floor anyway!

Great service. Front desk recognized Platinum status. Guests were a little rowdy and staff handled very professionally. Clean and reliable. Bar tender very attentive. We will be back.

Viera been much better if every room had its own microwave link. Apart from that the rooms were neat and clean.

Great place, especially for the price. Rooms are unique and well designed, pool area is well kept, warm, and not used much. The gym is much bigger than most hotels and actually usable! The only thing lacking is a hot tub. Well, and conference rooms if you want to have meetings there. I stay here as often as I can when in the DC area.

This has become our go-to hotel when flying out of Richmond. My wife has an emotional support dog, an Italian Greyhound named Biscuit, and we all feel welcome and comfortable here. The front desk and bar staff are very polite and helpful. During our last stay, there was live music in the lobby and a small well behaved audience hanging out in the bar. Things did get a bit loud on our floor after a bunch of college kids returned from the bar but they quickly settled down. The room layout is interesting but our rooms have always been clean. I do wish that they would ditch the headboard that they use, they're always scuffed. Lots of options for food nearby, we ordered from Samurai Sushi — give them a try as well!

When checking in there was a nightclub happening in their lobby. No one walked on me for almost 15 minutes to confirm my reservation and check me in. No apology offered for delay. There was no where to park as nightclub patrons had taken ALL the parking. I had to park in a satellite parking lot across the street. Room temperature was too hot or too cold would not adjust to comfortable temperature. I do not recommend because of issues and price of room not a great value with multiple issues.

No free breakfast. The lady who checked me in was really nice. The bar closed before 12 midnight. I came back to my room after 4pm and my room had not been cleaned. One time they made up the bed without changing the sheets even though I spilled chocolate on the fleet sheet and the comforter.

Hotel is new, modern, and clean. Room layout wasn’t great for a family as there is no door separating the bathroom sink area and one switch that controls lighting for that area. If you don’t want to wake the kids, you can’t turn on the bathroom lights. Room was cleaned daily but they kept stocking the coffee with decaf only. While the hotel is smoke free there are several nights where someone was clearly smoking in our floor.

There are a few down sides, not enough closet space and no microwave, but they are pet friendly, and have a nice lobby, I'd suggest this place for those traveling with less than 3 people.

Staff is very friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean. Complimentary coffee in the morning and the coffee is good!

It is very friendly and new and innovative. I am 50+ so not my taste bit clean and nice.

Overall a good hotel. The room was clean and in good shape with modern decor. The layout was not typical, but it was nice: the bed was facing the outside wall with a partial wall dividing the bedroom from the bath. There were two windows. However, the shades didn't completely cover the windows which allowed some light in. Also, the bathroom door was lacking a lock and shut in such a way that you could still see in/out a little. The reusable dispenser for soap and shampoo seemed like a cheap touch compared to the usual individual packets. The bed was only so-so.

Extending my stay by two nights caused FIVE different charges to appear on my card even though I was told with tax it would be $167. I have a $1 charge, another $1 charge, a $25 charge, a $151.75 charge, and a $143.50 charge, totaling $322.25 for just two nights! When I called they didn't say anything about the other charge, only stating that the incidentals fee of $25 would be refunded and, when pressed, would only say "any charges that aren't a part of your stay would be refunded in 5 days" I am currently in between housing, I can't afford to pay nearly double the rate. Over-all extremely disappointed and angry that I have to NOT EAT now that I was double charged. Merry Christmas?

Room was very comfortable. Pool table in lobby is free and open to guests. Cons: no free brrakfast and heard people in hallway throughout the night. My room was above the hotel bar and could not fall asleep until close to midnight on a week night.

$80/night you can't beat it! The only con I can think of is the reason it was only $80 — no breakfast is included. O ptional room rate of $94 only got you 2 breakfast sandwiches, so hardly the value I wanted. Room was neat and clean, toilet worked fine, shower pressure was very good. Very modern decor and the property was well-maintained for basically just being a parking lot. Right beside Hilton Garden, and even though parking 'overlapped' there was still a good amount, whilst being tight. A bank, Starbucks, and a few gas stations were the only thing in the immediate vicinity, so plan accordingly. Shopping/dining not too far away. Would stay again.

We stayed over Thursday and Friday nights. Not a hotel that I would usually book because of the modern/European décor. That being said, it is the friendlies hotel we have ever stayed in. Dog friendly, so that made my decision easy. It was nice to go to the bar for a drink and lounge in the cozy and friendly lounge area with our dog. Christine working the bar both nights is extremely efficient and very friendly, as was all of the staff that we encountered. When we head back that way we will definitely stay again.

This place was close to the airport, the rooms had plenty of space, the beds were comfortable and it had a chill but tasteful ambiance. Really enjoyed my stay. Only downside was that the bathroom didn't have a closed door, just a sliding door, cool but not very practical. Normally I'd give a place like this 4 stars, but it deserved the 5th because my sister left her chargers in the room and the front desk grabbed the chargers to give to the shuttle driver who brought it to the airport for her. So staff gets an extra star on top of the facilities being very nice.

The hotel as a whole is pretty modern. For the price of the room it felt quite nice and was clean. Also the lobby is unlike most and is frequently filled with guests relaxing.

Front desk help was awesome; airport shuttle on time, smooth ride, pleasant driver. Room was fine, nothing to brag about. Great pillows and good location to airport. Less expensive than some.

Great place to relax and swim in the heated pool. Even got to play some pool in the evening. Awesome place.

It was super cool that the bar was rented out for a private sweet 16 party when there was three different wedding parties also there and no one could use the lobby and how they lost our reservations was super chill but other wise the hotel was pretty cool.

This will sound crazy but we used this hotel for my Grandmother who couldn't do the stairs at our townhouse and she loved it. It is a very modern motif. The staff and amenities were excellent and the bed she said was very comfortable.

My wife had to catch an early morning flight, unplanned trip due to illness in the family. We always travel with our dog and originally booked last night at another hotel. We stayed ten minutes at the first place, conditions were awful and we had to leave. Booked the room at Aloft in the lobby, $3 more than popular web prices. My nerves were shot (this was nearly 11 pm) and told the lady at the counter about our unpleasant experience at the other hotel. She was very polite, made us feel welcomed, and gave us two free drinks at the bar. The bartender was also top notch and said she would pray for my wife's grandmother. Breakfast is not complimentary but they offer an interesting assortment of omelets. There is a convenience store at the edge of the parking lot if you are looking for a snack. Full bar with a nice lounge to the side. Very hip and modern decor, including a pool table in the lobby (some guys were playing, I would have joined if not for the circumstances). The only thing that I could complain about, and it's very minor, is that the headboard on our bed was scratched up. Water pressure was also a tiny bit low but it's understandable as they are a green facility. Also noticed in the daylight that it's immediately across the street from an Emergency Department, always nice to have that peace of mind. They provide free 24/7 shuttle service to the airport, departing every 30 minutes. My wife enjoyed her ride and arrived right on time.

Everything has been good. Nice staff, clean place. My only gripe, as a wheelchair user, is that the accessible room has a crazy low bed height of less than 16" that makes it tough to get on/off of. Otherwise it's worth a stay.

A very good experience for a very reasonable price ($80. ) Stayed only one night as was picking up my girlfriend from Dulles on a late flight so can't comment on ammenities (pool, fitness room, etc. ) as didn't use them. Staff were friendly and accommodating however. Decor is extremely trendy and vibrant, I think target group is a more youthful clientele. Totally worked for us but may not suit everyone. Room was great — large and open with a modern minimalist design. Comfortable bed, good AC control, nice shower. Location wad great from Dulles Airport and shuttle was fast back and forth (driver Raed was very friendly and helpful). Would definitely visit again.

We came a day before our trip to India and our stay here couldn't have been any better. I LOVE how I was able to park my car at the hotel, rest up for the night and then get ready to go for a long flight all just 10 minutes from the airport. The shuttle was extremely convenient and dropped us off at Dulles without hassle. And when we returned from our week-long getaway, the shuttle was right on time to pick us up. Breakfast isn't free. But it's available and cheap. And the bar area is great for relaxing in the evening. My friend and I also played a couple rounds of pool the night before our flight. Seriously, this was a great place to stay.

I chose Aloft because it was pet-friendly. I wanted to bring my dog with me from NY to VA via car. It's a really trendy, cute, cool hotel! Everyone is so nice and they even gave my dog treats and poop bags. The whole process with your dog is so easy and isn't strict at all. You just have to fill out a form in case they need to reach you if your dog is barking or if there are any issues. The rooms are really nice, clean, and they have Bliss products! Nice! You do have to go downstairs to get ice and other accommodations. I wanted a dog bed, but they didn't have any. They told me to go to the lobby and pick up a dog blanket. You get to keep it, too! Awesome! There is a small gym and even a pool. In the lobby, there is a bar, pool table, fireplace, TV, and a lot of places to hang out. It's a lot of fun! We had a great stay and would totally recommend it for people who want to travel with their pets.

My stay was amazing! The rooms are new and up to date. There is a huge television right in front of the bed and full bar downstairs. The location is great as well! There are plenty of places to eat and the gas station within walking distance.

The hotel is really trendy. The lobby is nice and the rooms are nice. There is complimentary water in the room and the bathroom is very large.

Rooms were small but clean, desk was courteous, and shuttle was great. Convenient and fairly priced for stay and fly.

I paid a low price. Initially, the place was very impressive because of its design. Then I noticed a lot of little things… like the snag in the carpet with tuffs sticking up, and that the carpet looked like it weathered a tough mudded race. The room clock didn't work and the snack bar was outrageously priced. It was far from what I would call a 4-star hotel, but I payed the price of a 2-star hotel. I never felt cleanliness was an issue there. I would go back.

Getting to the hotel using the shuttle was a nightmare. I travel for business and am usually loyal to Hilton, but thought I would give a starwood property a shot for this trip. Never again. By 500 PM I was at the shuttle curb looking for the aloft shuttle. None came. After 20 minutes I called the property and they said the shuttle was on demand. What?! This was not stated on my reservation confirmation. It's not on the mobile app, nor on the website. 3 West in shuttles came and went in this time (another starwood brand) but no aloft. How the he'll was I to know the shuttle was on demand?! The y took my phone number and TWENTY MINUTES LATER the shuttle driver called to say he was leaving the property to get me. By the time he actually picked me up, I was standing in the cold rain for an hour. Mind you, thus started at 500 PM. Not like the middle of the night. The properly itself has a kinda funky vibe which I like, but there is no restaurant, it is very lightly staffed (when I got there the one and only host was on the phone), and the rooms are beat up. I will never stay at either this property or another starwood again. I never have these problems with Hilton.

Here you can't lock the washroom. Also I wish they can have more movie chanels like HBO. NICK AND NITE etc other than letting us purchase the movies. They have average gym… which is really nice. Also have a pool table and a average swimming pool with 5ft deep end, which is alright. Other problem is there is no close place to grab something to eat. It's always 5 minuets away if you travel by a vehicle… so if you are a tourist… you have to find a taxi, which will cost you. So there is bit of an issue with the location. Other than that. The hotel looks really clean and good :)

Well I changed room 3 times within the first 15 minutes of arrival. No amc channel. Pfft blows and no in room microwave. Everything else seems fine… at the moment.

Enjoyable stay. I have been there before. I was disappointed though because I had notified the girl rreceptionist that I needed a double bed room & not a single. And the room was not prepaid. It was declined when I booked online. There should have been better prior notification. I will stay there again. They have very nice interior design.

Was excited to book a short stay at the Aloft hotel in Ashburn, VA since I had a great experience at one in Texas. I bragged to my fiancé about how much he'd love it. We checked in and everything was great! Nice customer service at the front desk and our room was nice and clean. We even started talking about using this hotel for our extended stay for 30 days well need to do in a couple of weeks. I am beginning to get a bit put off during our first night stay because I call the front desk to request two roles of toilet paper for our room since we had a near empty roll when we first arrived today and we needed more. I went ahead and asked for two since I did the want to bother them again during our stay. I call the front desk and the gentleman ridiculed me for asking for two rolls of toilet paper. He wanted to know why and what we'd be using it for… Seriously?. Then he scoffed at me when I explained. And I'm sure I sounded like I was I disbelief he was asking me. He said I could come down and get it and I asked if someone could being it up instead since we were in our pj's getting ready for bed. He sighed and said he'd send someone up. 10 minutes later a guy shows up and he REEKS of cigarette smoke. Including the toilet paper he had. The guy rolled his eyes the best he could at me and said "not sure why you need two of these, but here you go. Have fun" what?

Had a package of tools delivered there. They they signed for it and tracking number indicated my package was delivered, but aloft staff 'could not find it'. They didn't seem to care that my package was missing… Not trust worthy employees. Food is expensive and not good. Walk to gas station for more selection. Oh yeah, and when I called for a 'free shuttle from the airport to the hotel, I was hung up on. Not impressed at all…

Horrible customer service. Waited over 2 hours for shuttle service. Many of their employees are very unhappy due to the fact that their guest are so unhappy. Horrible shuttle drivers, way over priced bar (no happy hour), one hotel representative says one thing while another one says something else, very disorganized. High turn over rate. Very cheap services, towels are reused/not cleaned. Soap is not being refilled/replaced.

Horrible. Beds are so uncomfortable The beds were uncomfortable, the staff arrogant, very unfriendly atmosphere. I would rather sleep in my car.

4/8/15 I have to take negative reviews of this place with a grain if salt. Spent the night prior to an early flight at Dulles. Check-in staff was courteous, competent, and eager to please. They didn't know me from Adam and yet were helpful beyond expectations. The room was comfortable and had few areas of concern. Signed up for the shuttle and that went off without any issues. It was right on time and delivered us to exact place we needed to be. 4 stars for this visit and should the need arise, I would reserve a room with them without hesitation.

CONS When we first arrived the beds were made with dirty sheets. The pads under the sheet as well as one of the mattress had piss stains on. After the second day we took all the sheets off both beds a place them in the hallway. When we got back to the hotel "the new sheets" were dirty. The free Wi-Fi was slower then a snail stuck in molasses the whole time were there. It seemed like some of the staff was more interested in socializing then helping the customers. PROS Free Parking, Close to Walmart, Target, Dulles Town Center Mall This hotel isn't for families, and I wish I had paid attention to the reviews that I read before I booked. If I could do it all again, I would not chose this hotel. It would be best to pay the Extra $10-15 to stay elsewhere.

HATED IT: Lobby Location Staff Room Room's bathroom was broken so be sure to go while people is not in the room. Nearby amenities "breakfast" / food LOVED IT: FREE PARKING And I put one star even though I know this hotel deserve 0 stars.

Horrible customer service, internet does not work in the room. The "food" is all processed and the engineers for any issues at the hotel only seem to work from 9-5. Not worth the headache. Stay elsewhere for $10 more and probably have a much better experience.

I Loved it me and 2 of my cats stayed here for Christmas a few years ago, it was the best place you can stay if you have pets, no extra fees for pets, now that is pet friendly.

Poor customer service. Poor product. Poor business model. Poor linens. Has a laundry room, but no ability to provide guests change for $4 to use it. "Go to a store and get change" — nice. No soap in our room upon arrival. No toilet paper in our room upon arrival. No refrigerator in our room upon arrival. Asked for towels for the pool area since there were zero. Had to ask twice. Poor service LOUD music in pool area and couldn't hear. Asked them 4 times to turn it down to no avail.

The worst stay EVER! We had stayed at Aloft near Dulles Airport in Ashburn Virginia for just one night. It was the worst in every respect. Especially the hotel staff was most impolite and rude! The room beds sheets were not clean. The toilet was broke and kept making noises all night long. The beds were the worst, if you sleep on the edge you would automatically roll down to the center! But we are not the kind of people who would fuss over these little things, we just wanted to take some rest! We were in with the kids and called the front desk at 6:30 in morning for complementary toothpaste and the guy told us that come get it your self. I told him this is not the service we expect from this hotel. I asked him for his name. He refused to give me his name on the phone. He said if I want to know his name then come downstairs and find out and he simply hung up the phone on me! This happened at 6:30 AM and I was with 2 small kids. I have since called ALOFT head-office and filed a complaint. I have yet to hear back a response from them. We ended up checking out of the hotel immediately. I am NEVER staying in ALOFT hotel where guests are treated this way! Appearance was deceptive! Two thumbs down! NEVER AGAIN.

Everything is Fantastic here love the staff and the lobby is cool along with the rooms. Priceline messed up my dates and were unhelpful but. Zee at the front deak was amazing at getting it all cleared up for me thanks my place to stay in town.

The hotel is not big, but decorated very modern, it feels good. Around there's only one gas station, small supermarket, going to town, driving need 20 minutes.
